I am so depressed. I got myself a treadmill just before lockdown, and I’ve been doing HIIT on it at least 2-4 x a week. I run at 14km on an incline of 3% for 20 sec, then reduce speed to 4km for 40 seconds. I do this anywhere from 8-10 sprints per workout. The treadmill shows I’ve burned about 150 calories each time. After over a month I’ve lost no weight and no inches off my body. I have no idea what hormonal imbalance might be stalling my metabolism, but I am convinced it is a metabolism problem, because even after such a workout I barely break out in a sweat. As a woman it is harder for me to see results compared to men anyway, but this is just crushing my spirit. Everyone else who does such a workout seems to see amazing results very quickly.This is the only form of exercise I do, because the plan was to jumpstart the weight loss with HIIT and then add bodyweight exercises for toning once the wt loss started. Not sure where to go from here.

I have a tough 30 day challenge that starts off semi-easy, but you end up doing 18k Jumping Jacks in 30 days. I started it on 1/16/2020 to rebuild my endurance after not running in like 5 months. I was running 25 miles a week and rowing 85k meters a week on an erg machine. To anyone who wants to start cardio, there is a super easy 30 day Jumping Jack challenge that starts with 10 and works up to 160. Starting my 30days today. Regular weightlifter but my stamina sucks. And i weigh more and have more fat. 45secs was impossible to start with so i begin with 25secs and will increase weekly. Will intake more protein tho.

Bogus clickbait bullshit. Really disappointed to see a video with such an obvious lie in the title has over 1 million views. This is NOT an 8% body fat loss in 30 days, and that “after” photo, no way in hell that is anywhere close to 10% body fat. Please, go look at videos of people who have done DEXA scans with results around 10%. The “after” photo at 5:18, the amount of fat being carried mostly in the gut and chest, but also in the upper arms and shoulders, we can’t see the legs but I’d say there’s no way that’s below 16-18% overall body fat (again, talking about the “after” photo). And it’s unfortunate because you had great results by dropping 8 pounds and obviously improving your body fat percentage by maybe 2-3%, which is a great result in such a short time. But STFU about 8%, that completely ruins your accomplishment and sours your story because it makes you out to be another greedy YouTuber who is willing to COMPLETELY LIE and post clickbait for views. Again I say, no way in hell did you drop 8% body fat in 30 days. Down-voting and would never watch another video from this channel based on principle. Sad thing is, I know better but others do not, and they’re going to go out there and give it their all and when they see 2-3% body fat loss in 30 days, they’ll be disappointed because they trusted your bullshit lie. You are not doing anything at all that would train your calves. I would add Standing calve raises and Overhead Tricep Extension and take out Wrist Curl and crunches. Wrist Curls are not going to do much and crunches just put additional stress on your body that you don’t need.

HIIT is not meant to be done everyday due to risk of injuries and because…. it is not HIIT anymore as you start to get use to it (even if you did switch exercices which was smart actually)

Hey bro I do a cardio workout which has some portion of HIIT and some portion of steady paced cardio for example I start up with running for like 10 to 11 minutes at pace of almost 10 to 11 kms an hr covering almost 2 kms then go for sprint rest intervals like sprint for a minute and rest for 2 minutes and complete 5 cycles. Will my initial steady paced running effect my results

For the 20 seconds of 80% max intensity, what if I’m on a treadmill and it needs several seconds to go from walking speed back up to my 80% speed? Do I not start counting the 20 seconds until it gets to that speed?
If he lost 8 lbs, that’s more more believable than 8% body fat. He looks more like he started at about 20% or so and ended at 16% (you can just barely start to see the abs, which don’t show themselves until <15%). Still, quite impressive to lose that much in 30 days.

bullshit… to be 95% sure that you rly lost 8% of body fat you have to make a MR, which is very expensive… because of “challenges” like this which can be photoshopped and edited in 1 week, people believe that it is possible to lose huge amount of fat in such a short time, and that’s a lie… because of videos like this they think that being healthy and losing fat is easy and there is an easy fix but its not… I am 180 cm tall, and 77 kg weight and my body fat were somewhere between 14-15% at the beginning of January… now I am somewhere between 13-14% and I made calorie intake cut by 25%… And I workout 5 times per week with 2-3 hiit based workouts… Either you starved yourself every day(which is not good advice for someone new who does not know shit about health/fitness lifestyle) or you should at least change this 8% in some more realistic number since this is giving a wrong perspective to people who rly need a healthy life change…

You can’t go by heart rate during the WI due to the short time at intensity and long lag of heart rate. Use heart rate only to know when to go again, usually around 50% max heart rate. Just go as hard as you can for 10-60 seconds. 1:2 ratio isn’t long enough of a rest and you will burn out quickly. 1:5 is far better.

It’s recommended you only do HIIT about 3 times per week in order to give your body enough time to recover and grow.
Also, those Nike workouts look really intense. People should realise that they don’t need to put themselves so much if they’re not yet at that level, and can instead try modifications.

Yep yep yep. Period messes up your body like nothing can. Some months I cant exercise 2 weeks before my period while some months I can exercise up to the day of my period itself. If you want to use the rowing machine should you put the thing on ten? And would it be good to go as hard as you can for 20 sec and go slower for 40 sec?
Also when it come to sit ups and push-ups. It don’t matter the count or how many u can do. It matters the intensity of each one. U gotta really feel it in ur body

If you wish to do HIIT, 2x-3 per week is enough, its counted as strength training, so you need a lot of rest, it is unhealthy to overload yourself in long term (also if you can do it more than 3x per week, you are not going hard enough). LISS is still better, because you can do it daily and longer, so more calories are burned… but 2 HIIT, other days LISS and stretching is completly fine…
This made me laugh so much (in a good way), I just tried a new hiit workout today & i messed up on landing so im currently laying on my bed with an ice pack on my large swollen ankle lol. So in short it’s good to know I’m not the only one struggling. Nice as experiment but not so healty though… Experts recommend HIIT training just 2 or 3 times per week and other kind of workout/training the other days. I do HIIT tuesday, thursday and saturday and the other days i do the Kayla Itsiness program.

I did HIIT twice a day for only 3 days and my knees put out on me. I do yoga u between HIIT days because its very hard on your joints.
I eat 1000 cals a day, do 2 hours of cardio and 1 and a half hour of weight training and I still dont get anywhere as good results

Not to be so particular, but isn’t that more of a circuit? I thought intervals were literally keeping an exercise within certain intervals. Whereas circuits are back to back and completing multiple rounds.
Your rowing form is absolutely attrocious. Your knees are coming up before your arms and body and you aren’t fully extending your legs on the finish. Additionally, your toes are lifting up off the footboard at the end of your drive which shows you aren’t connecting and driving through the stroke. There are several other things you ought to fix up too.
Sence the bands help with water weight (not fat) could it be water weight your losing in stead of fat? I’m genuinely curious cause I’m trying to lose some fat.

Good weight loss but you’re about as close to 10% body fat as I am to beating Magnus at chess. 10% is NATIONAL bodybuilding contest lean. 10% is so lean you would STRUGGLE every day to keep that body fat percentage. Most guys just do 10% for competition then they are at 15-20% and those guys are ALIENS. sigh every vid I’ve seen so far has these bogus body fat percentages on this channel. But good results.
These things are not even related. You lose weight when you sleep. You activate your fat when you are in a calorie deficit. And with terrible form you might as well not lift. Just eat vegan diet with a lot of protein sources, and a lot of green veggies or any veggies. Then start eating only fish and chicken and eggs as a meat source while continue eating lentils beans etc. Dont eat much carbs, the carbs that you eat are buckwheat, potatoes, black rice, oatmeal. But again doesnr matter you eat as much as the calories are low. Of course its good to work out. To make sure your body needs the energy not only in your brain and respiration system (and all the other systems) but also in the muscles. But it’s not necessary. Best work out in your case would be like swimming, not only it trains your heart, trains your cardiovascular system, but also make your muscles stronger while training your lungs and puts little stress on your body. But having said that. There is one thing to remember. You have to be alkaline in order to lose fat. If you will stay acidic, your fat will be willing to stay and it will sacrifice, the every in your muscles, liver before it starts burning the fat on your stomach and tits

I am very happy that you showed that it wasn’t easy. I hate the videos where the person is breezing through like it’s nothing then when I go to try it, it’s really hard. I like to see the real raw videos because then it helps with confidence & motivation for myself.
Can anyone tell me why i have stopped dropping weight. Been doing hiit 4 to 5 days a week for about 4 months now, but haven’t lost any weight, haven’t even seen a reduction in my belly circumference in some time.
My fitbit it saying i burn around 2300-2600 cal a day and i only consume roughly 1700 each day.
Although i haven’t dropped any weight for months my resting HR is down to around 47 BPM from 56 a few months ago. So given that i have to be doing something right, but i dont know where i am failing for the fat loss.

The best and easiest way to lose weight
1.Diet(Hardest of all) try to at least eat less than you did before eat less or if possible no snacks, drink zero sodas and juices(sodas and juices with 0 sugar)
2.Train with weights/body weight or both
3.Train any sport you like
4.Go cycling, walking, swimming, playing sport with friends(Something you like that makes you tired)
I use stair running hiit and it’s really effective. I run up stairs for 30 seconds and then walk down for one minute. 20 reps makes a 30 minute workout and I’ve found it burns around 450-500 calories. Once it starts to feel easier you can decrease the rest time or increase the work interval.
And i always thought the pause must be only 50 % of the excerisise. 20 sec run 10 sec walk. It seems i read the studies wrong..

Hiit is about giving it everything you have for short intervals for no longer than 20 mins max. If you are able to go for 40 mins it means your not giving it your all during the intervals and its not considered hiit. It should be nearly impossible to go any longer than 20 mins.
Would this level of intensity, albeit in brief spurts, be appropriate or safe for an “older”(55+), healthy, but relatively untrained person? Does not appear so, but I could be wrong.
