5 Signs You Might Be A Salty Sweater
Video taken from the channel: The Run Experience
If you’re doing a run longer than two hours, you may want to take one before you begin, then another one halfway through your run/race. You will need a travel packet of table salt. Individual salt packets may vary, but the average serving size is approximately 0.5 g, which contains around 200 mg sodium. To do a salt.
“Eating something salty after a run can help the body rehydrate better,” says Seebohar. Some runners, however, including back-of-the-pack marathoners, ultradistance runners, and triathlete. With that in mind, a couple of studies suggest that taking a big sodium hit before a long endurance event can work to your advantage, performance-wise.
The first study (published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise ) had a group of.Current dietary guidelines recommend healthy adults get 2,000 to 2,300 milligrams of sodium, with runners and endurance athletes taking more as.The researchers claim that “oral salt supplementation was effective to lessen body mass loss and increase serum electrolyte concentration during a real half-ironman,” suggesting that it might be an effective pre-workout constituent. 8. Electrolytes in sweat are connected to individual running pace in marathoners.
If you know you are training or racing in a hot climate and are doing a long endurance event, you should test out in advance training with salt tablets. If you are mid race however, at the first sign of nausea, muscle cramps, disorientation, you should drink a sodium containing sports drink, such as Gatorade or eat salty foods. If possible, you should plan ahead and estimate your fluid loss.
Aim to drink about 2-3 mL perpound of body weight at least 4 hours before your run. If you chug an entire liter of prerun water, the kidneys will flush it out, causing frequent midrun bathroom. If you just drink a bunch of water a few hours before your race, that will stimulate your need to urinate, and you won’t retain any of the extra water (assuming you’re already well-hydrated).If you under-replace the water content, your body will continue to sweat and you will start to become encrusted with salt, lose weight, and become dehydrated.
It is not possible to replace all fluids lost, because you simply cannot absorb that much while exercising at a faster than walking pace. If you over-replace the water content, your body will remove water to the surrounding tissues and you will.NO!
You should determine the amount of salt you need, and then add about a half of it and let it dissolve. Then, either test or have the salt level tested. Complete the process by adding 1/4 doses (1/2 of the remaining salt) slowly until the required level of salt is reached. What can we conclude from these results? You don’t need to consume as much sodium as you lose in sweat to keep your blood volume up and your temperature and heart rate down.
The amount of sodium found in a typical sports drink will do the job. Taking in extra salt won’t provide any additional benefit. Avoiding hyponatremia. The amount of sodium in sweat averages about 500 mg sodium/lb sweat (and ranges from 220 to 1,100 mg) If you lose two pounds of sweat per hour for four hours of intense biking, tennis, football practices, etc., your sodium losses become significant (4,000.
Epsom salt baths dehydrate you bigtime. I would never take one the night before a race. I might take one 3 nights before a race, but not 1 or 2.
Do add salt. You’re going to sweat a lot during your run. When it’s warm and you’re out for more than an hour, you’ll lose a lot of sodium. To boost levels beforehand, sprinkle salt on prerace.
Then you can continue fueling throughout your run. If you’re not used to eating before a run, start simple. The last thing you want to do is end up with an upset stomach.
If you are used to eating before working out but you’re wondering how much you should eat, the rule of thumb is the more time you have before a run, the more you should eat.

I gotta disagree with this one. NONE of us have enough magnesium; that is scientifically proven. Say what you want. Before I retired, I worked like a “dog”. The baths kept me going. I had co-workers, much younger, that complained of muscle aches all the time. Yes, I too had them, but that bath healed me right up EVERY TIME! That’s enough proof for me!
the local-honey-helps-allergies statements are fake science: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11868925
Am i the only one who is watching it because of “Chandler Bing having bath” episode??
I started taking Salt Stick capsules before and during runs and it was a real game changer for me. I live in NC where it’s humid and warm for much of the year and I routinely come home crusted with salt on my face and arms. Switching from water to Tailwind to hydrate during long runs also made a difference.
I believe in miracles. To get 6 million people to subscribe to a channel of this type without knowing how epsom salt works is nothing short of a miracle.
Sodium doesn’t have “electrolytes”, sodium is an electrolyte
Another sign is cramps. I can get gets leg cramps. Straight water dilutes your blood. Causing hyponatremia, which can cause muscle cramps and even a heart attack.
I don’t get the hype over karli kloss? She’s super tall and skinny but her face is super average.. not hating I just don’t get how she’s a top model
None of this matters unless your factoring in Potassium this is only half the equation
this was me on after my show 3 weeks ago.. couldnt pump up for show day then after all i could eat buffet the next day at gym looking hella juicy.. still took out overall first but lol
I’m the weirdest sweater, it all comes out of my face and back, almost none on my legs and nothing at all from my feet and I have almost no foot odour.I get a build-up of salt gunk on my forehead after sweating I can literally scrape it off and make a paste lol but I never feel faint or ill working out and I used to do long-distance running. everyone is different
I am Salty Sweater Maam
when I exercise my sweat turns into powder like iodized salt
Hello I have a question I sweat a lot but I always use salt in my food literally
Iam also salty sweater.so tell me some home made solutions.iam not buy expensive products like white people.iam from 3rd world notion plz help me white people.
I’m for sure trying the almond butter chocolate chip brownie!!!!!
If I may ad something.
Water isn’t enough.
And moreover, it is NOT DESIRABLE.
Because regular water has very little electrolyte content, it ends up leeching electrolytes from the body which makes rehydration much harder.
We have all heard that the human body is 60% water, yes?
Lies! There is 0% water in the body.
All the fluids in the human body are *electrolyte solutions*.
So to keep it short, for hydratin:
Moderate water + electrolyte intake > Lots of water.
Lots of water = electrolyte *loss*.
I am definitely a salty sweater. But i am not sure how much salt is too much to take because I heard way more about how too much salt is bad for you than how much salt is too little to a salty sweater… I really have to find a way to deal with this issue.
I am a salty sweater and this makes sense. My time in the armed forces was rough at PT times. I would recover slowly and doing exercises in the heat was killer. I always felt sick and dead afterwords. I wish I would have know this then.
Nice to hear a fact driven discussion instead of…..Thanks!
Very interesting, I do have some of these signs. If I feel a bit faint and nauseous after training I pour some regular table salt in the palm of my hand and lick it up, then I feel better almost immediately…
I uses SoS sachets (not to be confused with Science in Sport SIS) as they’re one of the few that also contain potassium, rather than just sodium, and it’s way more palatable then Lucozade sport/galactorade/poweraid isotonic. Great for a salty sweater. https://store.sosrehydrate.com
I am convinced they work if you have a deficiency. Esp when you have been under stress.
Definitely want to see a video to prepare for a photo shoot!
I think we bought enough lol Chris is worth like 2 million bucks
I’d love it to stand next to you as I am a tall woman, too:)
I hadn’t even thought about some of these things, because I’m not particularly susceptible to cramping. Maybe just because I’m only at 10 miles on my long run. But they all fit to some degree. I don’t really feel nauseous during most hot workouts, but I’ll have a terrible headache for the rest of the day if I don’t replace my electrolytes. This even applies to doing yard work during the hot part of a summer day. And I have been craving salty foods more than usual, especially tortilla chips. I never salt my food, so this one seemed strange. This is all very interesting. Thanks for the video!
Hi, so I’m pretty sure I’m a salty sweater. I have done two marathons now (last one Houston this past Sunday) and both of them have gone the same way. Great start and up to 32k(about 2h into the race) I’m doing fine. Then I get cramps and I have to walk to get it under control. I thought that mostly had to do with magnesium depletion but could it also be low sodium levels that causes that? I took 5 gels with electrolytes in them and 5-6 cups of Gatorade along with 5-6 cups of water. How much salt can the body store? Is a marathon far to only relay on in body stores? (I’m running just around 3h 10min) is salt tablets worth trying?
I literally have salt crystals all over my face after a run or hike. It is insane.
I use it to reduce severe case of my eczema. It kinda works.
I like her channel! I like how she keeps it real! While others would have reshot the blender she kept it in because she knows that we can all relate to that!
I fit 1 sign the white residue on skin and clothing so I’m still confused am I a salty sweater or not .
I would like to see Maria Sharapova and Karlie Kloss together. They would be the super tall girl duo!!!
Hello I love this channel. Do you have a video on probiotics? Why to use them, who should and when to take them? Thank you!
It’s super hard to get under 2k sodium. I’m taking about 4500 and my BP is still low. Hard to get your protein intake and have low sodium
Great video! I’m a salty sweater, I made a homemade hydration juice using salt, molasses, coconut water, lemon juice and tart cherry juice. So far it’s working great. Thanks again. Coach
I never thought about being a “salty sweater” but now that I come to think of it, I sweat loads even during the winter (which is quite cold where I live), my sweat does burn when it gets in my eyes and I often have like some powdery substance all over my forhead after a hard run. But I never ever have cravings for salty food though!
Don’t be drinking animals milk to up your calcium level, the cows get the calcium from the plantfood, cut the middle man(bovine).
Hello Dear Karlie Kloss I wish You enjoy your meal and Bon Apetit. And I congratulate You for running on the Marathon. Did You complete the Marathon? And did You get a degree?
have you ever tried it? who is this punk? 2 earrings are a placebo.
Heavy salty sweater. Cramps also related to this. Getting it dialed in a little closer using 1 scoop of Tailwind with 1 Nunn tablet in 20 once bottles. Thanks for video.
I’m definitely a salty sweater. When I wear a black t shirt it dries with white lines. It also burns my eyes too. Is there a way to test your personal electrolytes to make sure they are balanced. I only use Himalayan salt. I also supplement with potassium citrate with my Bcaas.
Definitely a salty sweater. My favorite electrolyte product is ‘Heed’ by Hammer Nutrition. I use Heed in my hydration pack ever time that I train and trail race. Sipping on it during training/racing helps to keep my body charged.
I’m definitely 5/5 as well and definitely caused by my genetics. I always look like I jumped in a pool after every training run. After every marathon, I suffer from 2 big whammies: cramps (from sweating so much) and hyponatremia (from drinking too much water to make up for the sweat). What a vicious cycle. I supplement with electrolyte drinks and electrolyte tablets, but it’s sometimes not enough. I had hoped the video would be more comprehensive to address my particular problem.
I have a photo shoot one week before my figure show. I would love to hear how to look good without ruining it for the show…
Our dogs’ favorite treats have to be those leg licks after our runs.
I fit all 5 signs. I have come back from long runs with salt crystals on my arms and face. Now i make sure to drink something like gatorade when i run.
I fit 4 of those 5 signs. BUT, I love running in the heat and humidity. I still think I’m a salty sweater. Curious as to why the heat & humidity don’t hit me.
It’s crazy it’s things that exsist out there and does nothing
So how do people get cancer from touching certain chemicals?
I normally sweat a bucket while running, and have always wondered if I’d lose too much electrolyte through sweating. Omg…. Recently I feel dizzy when standing up from my chair. I’ve been taking Mg everyday for all those years, though. Should I do something more as a salty sweater??
Thank you so much for the precious info, coach Liz!!
the power of suggestion my friend. its more powerful than you think. You can pretty much trick your mind into thinking your getting better and it actually begins to manifest. there has been a few small studies on this.
Hi karlie I know this video has been out for ages but if you accidentally came across my comments would be amazing. I saw you were using the powder. Is it ok to use the fresh stuff i just cant find turmeric powder anywhere. Thankyou.
can you make a video on how you became a vs model because I really want to be one and I think I have the potential and I know there’s many girls who have the potential to become one to so if you could please make a video thanks love ya
Don’t let kali muscle see this. That guy has issues with sodium
Thankyou KarlieeeI will try this out!! Every time I run long distances I always eat as much as I can once I get home
We have fat free food on the UK CHRIS but it’s true we don’t have fake crap… Our FDA REGULATES stuff too much… Schools banned fizzy drinks years ago also on lunch boxes
Bit contradicting. ”Cut down on sodium for a peak show / photoshoot” makes you drying.. then ”Don’t got no pump on stage?? Should have had some sodium bro”
Lmaoo the cursing I love it
Make me feel like I’m around Marines
Looks like my daughter and mum my daughter is 6 ft and my mum is 5 ft 3
Her freezer is heaven (heaven song came on as it opened).
Great video Chris i’ve always wondered about too much sodium and looking bloated. Well explained thanks!
Karlie looks like palm tree beside jen lol, love you both ❤
People say gatorade is bad..but athletes use it..so it must be good..i feel much better after drinking one.
How is karlie so tall?? what’s your secret?God i’m so jealous
Studies are made with a limited number of people because of a restricted budjet… in the other hand you have million and millios of people using this and felling much better after. So, if you have millions of people with good results then you don’t need the ” control group” part of the study saying that x number of them experienced the placebo effect to prouve that it actually works or not. You have millions saying that it worked for them.
We need that “How to Peak for a Photo Shoot and/or Show” vid!
Big ass pepper nose having ass.the fuck you mean dont worry about sodium bruh
Why am I even watching this? I don’t run, I walk. I don’t work out, like at all xD
Chris, can you do a quick video or a comment on your current macro intake… Im following my fitness pal and want to make sure I’m taking in enough… I feel fine, losing around 1lb or 2 a week. Just want to make sure in preserving muscle tissue. Appreciate it man
I eat very low sodium and I get cramps when I do cardio and then my lifts are shit. If I eat salt will it make me have more energy? Do I need to get other electrolytes or should just normal salt do the trick like a teaspoon in some water. Is that ok?
my triceps are weak af beside the fact after pump my arms are 18″ but triceps are lacking size help me out please n my brachiallas are lagging too
Klossy tayler swift is your best friend please meet me with her please
im not a runner but im a carpenter and i work in the heat here in Australia. i wear a tool vest and i have salt stains coming through my shirt and through the vest,
i drink alkaline water all day, but it still does not stop the salty sweat, by the end of the day my shirt looks like a snow man in the middle of summer. I also get dizzy or feel light headed when i bend over and get up to quickly during the summer months, not so much in the winter months.
Maybe i should try an electrolight drink during the day, any recommendations? I sometimes work up to 11hrs a day depending on work load, so you can imagine the sweat loss.
I have always worried that my excessive salt loss is a health condition.
SHE IS DATING JARED KUSHNERS BROTHER, TRUMP SUPPORTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE BUT NOT THE ICECREAM COLLECTION?!??!
Sexy, juicy, pump?! Man you been watching a lot of Robert Frank. Lmao! Me too
So so so helpful. 5/5 so comforting as well and helps me to plan better than I have been. Living in a hot humid environment for much of the year isn’t going to help though!!!
Whenever I soak my feet in epsom salts I get very thirsty. It is not all in my mind. So at the very least, something is being absorbed through the feet.
Appreciated the details on the other three main electrolytes. Could you please tell me more how calcium assists heart rate? Also is there a more accurate way to know how much salt tablets to ingest? I don’t really trust my perception on how much is right.
In the recent years I have become one, what causes this “issue” or change? Back in the times at HS, I would sweat a lot but it was never really salty. Nowadays I lose way too much salt, when going mountain hiking, my face and my skin is covered in white points and flakes, it’s like the Dead Sea. Kinda annoying that I need to use something else than water to replenish all the electrolytes, as normal food or energy bars don’t come with those important electrolytes either.
I felt dizzy, and had spasm in my muscles. And when mountain hiking that’s kinda dangerous.
Another big pharma dupe diverting people away from the things that are cheap and effective
Wow imagine doing a marathon and then the VSFS I hate my life
Well after a week of pain in my knuckles I decided to soak my hand in warm water with epsom salt, and after watching this video I shouldn’t’t fall for this placebo effect, so I’m going to continue my boxing training but keep the workout light as well as soaking my hand every night for the next 7 days and see if it gets noticeably better. Will edit post with results afterwards (if I remember too).
She was such a disloyal friend with Taylor, even if you’re not a fan, she seems so fake right now, it makes you dont want buy her image anymore when you see her again. So horrible.
I’m a salty sweater. I can’t run without a headband (my eyes sting so much). by the end of a long run in warm temperature, I’m all crusty. this is not only a problem for my eyes but also for chafing is some private parts. I take water with salt pills during long trail runs (4 hours and over). Ratio 2-2.5 liters of water to 1 pill.
Chris I see you mentioned about the need for the carbs, so how do you think Keto will so for someone trying to lose but stay strong.
I have been diagnosed with genital herpes 8 months ago, I was lonely and sad I wanted to be healed and did all I could but I was not healed but luckily a friend of mine directed me to this great Dr.ayomede on YouTube who helped me and my health have been completely restored from Herpes Virus
All I know is that when I took one, I woke up the next morning with the most relaxed back ever. Wasn’t placebo either. Just felt awesome!
Does it work or not? I didn’t hear, was to busy looking at his immaculately kept hair!!
Is this the stuff that’s gets people high…and eat faces..lol
It’s not the placebo effect, it is literally known and proven to help pains and fight bacteria bye
This really seems like a “we don’t know, the science needs done” issue rather then saying “it’s false because the science needs done.” The first few times I used Epsom salt I was not expecting it to help, so the placebo effect should have made it seem no better then a regular soak or bath but instead I was surprised by how much it helped & what Epsom salts could do against, e.g. an infected chigger bite, so I absolutely dismiss & dispute placebo effect as an explanation; what science has been done to show epsom salt benefits are placebo? Doses of 500mg or more of ‘magnesium’ (I really dispise when chemicals are ignorantly conflated with the element alone) is known to have a muscle relaxing effect. There are differences between salt water & unsalted water that could make for different effects on the body especially in different states, conditions & deficiencies. We know by doing science, we can’t claim to know something is false simple because the science hasn’t been done. This is another example of people wanting to know something but $cience having no incentive it seems to me.
Karlie could you also do a video about tips on how to run properly? Like how to tread. I think it could be very useful as I have recently torn my groin muscle while running and I cant run for 6 months so I think some asvice on What to do when running few times for someone who has a desk job would be nice! Im a huge fan!!
Great vid, thanks pal never heard of liquid nutrition until this so will give it a look
Your skin absorbs dimethylmercury very well. Just ask Karen Wetterhahn
expensive thing do miracle…cheap and actual working stuff are placebo
I tried some bath salts called bod they were on offer at the time. I tried it and I hadn’t lost weight in weeks. I tried it and lost 2lbs! I dunno if it’s the same but its suppose to draw toxins and water bloating etc problem is everywhere i look bod is sold out or over £10 a bag! Expensive bath! I was searching Epsom bath salts to see if it would do the same thing but I’m guessing not now lol
What about osmotic pressure? If our bodies are mostly water and our skin is a semi-permeable membrane, wouldn’t water (sweat) be drawn out of our bodies by osmosis?
I’d trust a peer-reviewed paper about as much as I trust a politician to tell the truth. Most scientific institutions are infested from the top-down by cultural Marxism and once this fact is acknowledged anything they produce or say can easily be shown to be biased.
Soaking in a hot bath can definitely help ease pain. A bath tub full of over saturated salt water stays hot longer than fresh water. Not magic but allows you to sit in hot water longer before the water starts to cool. Also I have no clue the science why but if you have calluses on your feet it really helps heal them quick.
The problem with this video is you don’t mention the BV level of magnesium intake when ingested is 20%, but it’s much, much higher when used topically. Most people are deficient in magnesium. Bummer there is zero mention of this.
So your telling me i just wasted £2.50p on a bag off Epsom salt
I get sick all summer working outside in extreme heat and humidity like I can’t even function other people are just like absolutely fine I definitely am going to salt up this year!
A good percentage of this I do believe is not entirely correct….if you have more evidence of negative research towards this I would love to read more. Your skin is extraordinarily absorbent, especially after soaking in hot water for a few minutes. Hence things such as Voltarian gell. With the number of doctors and experts that preach of the mental and physical benefits of soaking in Epsom salt….I feel their opinion is more credible.
Yes, the skin is a barrier to a point! Hormonal creams etc… are given, that can go right through to your blood stream.
Sorry, wrong and to me something that has been around this long, has got to have benefits. I take one three times a week! And I am 57yrs old and Healthy! thanks for your time!
Wait… Epsom salt bath does help when i have a rash on my entire body…serious…i come out not being itchy..hope this helps to some people…try it…you can slap me if I’m wrong
I’ll have to watch this again, I was to busy looking at his immaculately kept hair!!
So is there scientific proof that Epsom salt baths aren’t harmful?
It worked for me before.. My ankle pain was gone away the next day after soaking the previous night
There are laboratory sweat tests you can use to more precisely know sweat rates and sodium losses, aren’t they? Are they worth the expense and do they provide any better advice as to how to replenish electrolytes than Coach Elizabeth’s rules of thumb?
The guy is speaking as though it is a disclaimer. Epson Salt works and I Bn take it at the beginning and end of the week and it has allowed me to recover to complete HIIT Exercises effectively each week. So if someone says it’s a placebo, they either don’t do it or are in such excellent shape they don’t need to recover.
Sweating is as much a mater of magnesium as sodium, I believe. At least good quality magnesium helps me a lot to reduce fatigue and eventually cramps on hard trail races.
If you do not know something, it is not equal to it doesn’t exist. If your assumptions are wrong, your conclusions are wrong too. Epsom salt does work for some cases, and the key is Sulfur, most likely; research is still undergoing
How do I prevent it every time I sweat it salty and white it’s embarrassing will coconut water help stop the salty sweat
No one uses Epson salts anymore, Flakka is absorbed much quicker into the body!!!!
No evidence showing that salt gets into your body when you soak in it? LOL! Yet not harmful, more LOL! I can tell you a secret, a walk on the beach through, walking in the ocean cured my athletes foot for years; I did this a lot because I lived near the beach and I played sports for years and your socks get really mushy… and since I didn’t have enough money to have 2 or 3 pairs of athletic shoes I found this to work really well.
They couldn’t have gotten Jen a step stool or something? No hate, I appreciate that people come in all shapes and sizes but it’s just kind of distracting from a subject composition standpoint.
Should I start taking salt stick capsules to help prevent salty sweat because I play basketball if front of hundreds of people I can’t have white salty sweat on my face that’s embarrassing
Hi Coach Elizabeth. Have you done a video on hyponatremia? I know you mentioned it here, but are you able to create a video about it and long distance running signs, symptoms and what if anything you can you do during a run to bounce out of it? I suffered with it, today, during my marathon and I would like to better understand it, if you have time.
lavender epsom salt is magic i don’t care what anybody tells me. As a gym goer it really does help muscle recovery.
I’m in an epsom bath right now, trying to see if it’s true that it’ll help you lose water weight and actually help with pain from hurting myself. We’ll see.
Corporate funded scishow….Epsom salt never be a placebo….I do in cold water…it relaxes me like anything more than antidepressant… corporate stop Epsom salt
Remember 2400 is not something to aim for. You wanna stay WAY below that amount. NIH Studies have shown under 1000 mg a day is optimal
I think it is important to lower sodium and drink a lot of water to combat the excess in our diet. Increased sodium can have some negative consequences on your heart.
You weren’t listening in school…. Epsom salt doesn’t work…. Really…
It does work.
Notice when your fingers turn soft and wrinkly when you soak too long?
That’s because your skin absorbed a lot of water, so if there is epsom salt in there, chances are it’s absorbing plenty.
I go by personal use and experience using it, no need for someone else’s study.
Thanks to Dr.Ayomede your product is incredible it was hard to believe how quickly I was able to remove and cured this virus that has been lingering over the years, I’ve tried a wide array of cream, acids, gels etc and nothing worked as well or as quickly as your product, I am very glad I found your mail, [email protected] gmail.com WhatsApp +2349039179843
And just because science haven’t done enough research yet, it dosen’t mean that its not working.
It just means that no one took the time to research this subject.
If you feel results from epsom salt, believe in your own reality and keep doing your thing. Western science is really falling behaind on a lot of things.
Why not test it…sounds like simple before after blood test is all i takes
Btw: Very attractive and toxic for pets. This common salt is used in bath products. Wipe and rinse surfaces like tiles and tubs and keep pets from licking “left behind surface salts”. Doesn’t take much to kill your pet as it accumulates in organs like the kidneys over time. Magnesium salts absorb moisture from the air and soon lose that sparkle element.
I am a very salty sweater… I have all of those! I’ve been doing a Tbsp of Molasses, some salt, and magnesium in a pint of water after every run and with that salt, which I’ve more recenrky added, makes me feel sooo much better! Thanks for the video, loved it!
I love your Videos!!! could you also make a whats in my mouth challenge with food? that would be totally funny:-))
Could well be a placebo, but for the low cost and no actual disadvantages, I’ll still keep using it! If it’s not doing any harm and costing me about 0.50 per week
This video challenges all common sense from anybody with a brain, must have been paid and produced by big pharma companies
It would be in big pharmas interest to stump any studies confirming the claims or do a legit study disproving the claims, they wont because they cant. The salt is cheap and readily available for all…classic threat.
no numbmuts…… it can be absorbed through skin,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
0:05 No I’m limping after football practice and can barely stand..
Dude, this guy should do audio books. I love his cadence and tone.
I like how bottled water has magnesium “added for taste” lol! On summer job sites ppl would always end up with diarrhea. Also, thats a very pretty man.
Um….your skin actually does absorb things you put on it…so… …going to a different video. Please do your research. Patches? Oils? Lotions? And, in fact, if you empty your bladder before an epsom salt bath, 20-30 later, you have an urge to pee with a full bladder….so…..
So they found that magnesium levels rises in the blood stream during the soak, but most experts don’t think any minerals get into the body during the soak, them experts don’t have any logic What about using moisturizers on the skin, they soak all the goodness. The biggest organ in the body has to soak in! Dip your body in some acid and it will soak in lol
Yep, I get loads of white marks when I do a long session! I drink loads of electrolytes though, so I am usually OK:)
Aye man we need that photshoot peaking vid Chris, I need to know how to get ready for them fire IG pics lmaooo
I get the scarcity of reliable evidence makes this a hard to believe, but I have to say there is no way this is a placebo effect.
I was born with a clubfoot, and had corrective surgery at 9 months old. It has always caused some level of pain, mostly when I wake up, and after any significant physical activity such as running. When I was 13 a doctor found the starting signs of arthritis in it, and confused the x-ray for a broken ankle lol. I’m 25 now, and every day is a struggle with it. Working through near constant pain from various causes, including the effects my foot has had on my knees, hips, and back. But I recently tried soaking in Epsom salt for the first time, wondering how it was supposed to work, if at all. But to my surprise the effects are night and day. For the first time in YEARS I got out of bed without limping. Even after working an 8 hour shift I felt almost no pain in my joints. Maybe I have a deficiency like this video mentioned, but I could never deny the effects of just ONE Epsom salt bath. Granted I’m pretty sure I used way too much and soaked for too long as well lmao.
So eager to bash natural remedies when there’s no “proper” science to back them up. Clinical experience and anecdotal reports are important too and the absence of research does not prove the absence of benefits. You would rather say that it is probable that thes baths have a benefit because of the VAST amount of good experiences people have had. Don’t make science your religion, use it as a tool and don’t worship it.
I’m surprised he didn’t say take a bath in sugar. Espsom salt work wonders. Do your own research!!!!!
Don’t dash my dreams of becoming a salt cube. This gonna work.
Make another video about the science of salt NOT going up my butt in the bathtub.
Well I LL tell you this. Iff you have swollen feet’s soak suck in soda powder and put on at night (cover with plastic to not wet bed). In the morning you will have feets like in 18 year old. I tried it works. Did soda get in throw skin? Did water followed soda? Miracle for you but not for us.
So same with salt, magnesium etc. It works. Even cabbages putted on inflammation area at night works 100%. enjoy instead off trying to proof it’s not. Just live.
Skin is breathing, letting in and out etc
So you say that it doesn’t help yet you cannot disprove it either and as with many ancient remedies there is a grain of (salt)truth to it so for me what ever reason it works for the individual do it personally I believe that though the skin is a barrier it also allows some things to pass that your body wants
It would be awesome if you would share your running routine! <3
If you have a infection on your foot, salt cures cuts, right? Sooooo….. Epson salt could pretty much do the same thing…?
I am a vet and have stiff joints, nerve damage and muscle spasms. I recently took a trip where i didnt have my Epsom salt and noticed a huge diffrence in the foresaid areas. May be placebo but if its not broke dont fix it
I literally subscribed in a second when I saw the guy in the video. Like WOAH he is hot
Can I use ordinary sugar and all purpose flower instead of the almond one and can I use normal butter instead of the almond butter and ordinary milk or almond milk for the pumpkin smoothie?? Do you use raw pumpkin or is it pumpkin puree? Shouldn’t we add water to the smoothie??
It’s why floatation tanks are great for humans magnesium and sulphate are essential to go human physical and mental health in each float tank there’s up to 1200lbs (550kg) of pure Epsom salt. https://i-sopod.com/blog/why-float-tanks-use-epsom-salt-2017-10-07

DAMN DUDE, YOU KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOUR TALKING ABOUT. RANDOMLY HERE FROM 2020 ABOUT PINK SALT INTAKE. BEEN A FAN SINCE P.O.G. DAYS NEVER SEEN THIS VIDEO. THANKS FOR THE INFO ‼️ ♈
I use a homemade gatorade.
Zero-calorie perrier strawberry flavored water, a couple of drops of lemon juice, 1/4 (448mg) tsp potassium, 1/2 tsp pure sea salt, 100mg magnesium, 4%DV calcium. Two drop of stevia concentrate.
Total calories: 0. The sweetener and flavoring covers up the yuk of the potassium pretty well (I personally like the taste of salty water).
I drink about 4 times a day, increasing or decreasing certain mgs according to my daily food intake.
Omg I’m a salty sweater! This explains why I get so ill running for a short period of time in the heat, and it doesn’t even have to be that hot. I could barely get through training last summer because I would have what I thought was borderline heat stroke. Now I see it was probably electrolyte depletion!
How you get people show ready is one of your damn secrets that you haven’t given away yet. You do some amazing shit with your clients that I haven’t seen other coaches achieve. I know I am not in a situation where I can have the discipline and dedication to obey your coaching, but maybe in 5 years after I have earned my PhD and just have to work 40.0 hours per week flex time and live in a household with a weight-loss supportive woman or alone because I am not hoe ready I’ll hire you.
I like her average joe face because her personalities outcome beat her physical appearance
low salt diets cause insulin resistance and your adrenal glands need 3000+ mg daily to function optimally just make sure to get 5000+mg potassium daily and you should be straight
Why is Karlie having the brownie w a plate and the guest isn’t? Weirddd
I’ve been noticing crystals for years now…I thought twas sand…I just tasted it…and it isn’t… It’s salt
does this mean deli meat is ok? i quit eating deli meat when i started working out because i kept hearing about the high sodium content. nowadays i average 2000mg of sodium a day and i’ve checked the nutrition of the deli meat and it has 200mg/slice, meaning i’d theoretically be ok eating having a couple slices a day. i ask because i miss deli meat due to it’s convenience and taste (tastes good where i get it from).
Does creatine monogydrate actually hold water? That’s my question Chris

being honest, I didn’t feel any differences after I add Epsom salt.
But I’m sure I was well seasoned after 30mins.
he make good points but here it is you should always should stay within the 2000-2500 range. dont and i repeat, do not add table salt to your food. there is natural sodium in natural food. if your on high blood pressure, stay within and drinks lots of water like stay away from high fatty fast foods try to eat as natural as possible and stay away from process foods learn to make things you like at home. there are tons of recipes on the Internet that can show how to have your favorite treats naturally. especially if you are older in your mid to late 30s and beyond that. i had a bout with high blood pressure but did the research and got it under control. with clean eating and daily/weekly exercise. no pills for me folks.
Is it weird to sweat heavily but still feel good doing all those exercises and multisports anyway?
Great video Coach Elizabeth, that has made me understand a few of my problems, I got 4 out of 5 of those signs (Do I pass?) I’m still on the Precision hydration so I will keep an eye on it. Thanks again for keeping us informed with the nutrition.
I am definitely a salty sweater my running coach told me to wear a hat to help keep my sweat from dripping and burning my eyes. Seems to work!
Great video Chris i’ve always wondered about too much sodium and looking bloated. Well explained thanks!

All I crave after a good exhausting session under 90-100F temperature is a good ice cold coca cola. That counts as craving salty food?

Que le paso a su pelo??? No me gusta como le queda. Parece un fantasma.
Didn’t even know you could be a salty sweater, I always just thought some people sweat a little, and others sweat a lot..
Love the punchy style of the video and the uncomplicated messages.
