So say I did all these workouts 3 times a week, how long until I see results of me jumping higher?

RDL is a great exercise however it’s not the best if you want to increase vertical jump. If you are a beginner i recommend you to first increase your strength (regular squat, front squats, deadlifts etc). Jumping with a loaded bar on your back, next to your neck, isn’t such a good idea. I will prefer dumbells held next to my shoulders. The pattern of movement is the same but even if I mess up the descend I prefer the weight to be delt with by my swinging arms, shoulders and bis, rather than my spine and lower back. It’s the only thing with which I’m not fully on board.

I just started recently to play Volleyball and I’m already jumping relatively high without any gym or special training (Can touch the 10ft rim with my fingertips if im warm enough). I’m 21, 63kg and 5ft 10′ or 178cm. Do you think is a good idea to try these exercises in my leg day at gym? Of course starting with super low weight focusing on technique. Dont do barbell jump squats. They can fuck your back up big time. I did one set and hurt my back one time last year, and my left leg was twitching every 5 seconds for a month.

Maybe true abt other exercises did not try them, anyway standard squat doesn’t help sh1t. I squat more than 2x my bodyweight and deadlift more than 3xbodyweight and my vertical jump before starting specific training was dead awful -about 50-55 cm. Vertical might also depend on your skeletal structure -although I have not seen any mention about this. I am saying this because my skeletal structure -long legs compared to torso -do not permit me ie to do proper snatch and my broadjump performance is different than vertical jump -jumping easily over 2,5 m. One guy watching my vertical also told me that because my structure I tend to jump forward 20-30cm instead straight up vertical. It would be interesting if you could test people with different skeletal structure how they do the vertical.

I have an important question to ask here, Nathanael! I am 43 years old Asian American healthy male who have been exercises four time a week. Right now, I can only reaches up to like maybe 9’9” or 9’10”, which is an impressive improvement from 9’6” several months ago! I have never grabbed or dunked a basketball when I was younger but I have barely touched a bit of a basketball backboard rim once when I was like 21 years old! Now for the past five months, I have been seriously working on my leg muscles, which I have noticeably gained several inches of vertical leap! So Nathanael, for me at 43 years old, is it possible for me to grab or dunk a basketball at this age? Thank you!

Don’t join this program it’s a scam i lost 80 bucks to it. My vert did not increase at all. I have been doing this program for 2 months. And i got more knee pain from it.

Total bs! Your max vertical leap is genetic you can do all exercises you want but if you aren’t born with right biomechanics and right muscle fibers it’s a waste of time.
