The good news it doesn’t have to be one or the other. You can keep the kids happy, buy a house, and lose a few pounds with the following three ways to stay fit at home as a stay at home parent.Get Yourself OutsideSomething about being outdoors makes most people instantly feel. While many people think that stay-at-home parents have it easy, they are definitely wrong.
Being a full-time parent is very demanding and time-consuming and it’s very hard to schedule long runs or gym sessions. However, no matter how busy you are, there are some tricks that will allow you to get some exercise even during your busiest days.Work with your schedule and kids to find simple ways to fit in exercise during your day so you can stay fit and active as a stay at home parent. Part 1 Fitting In Exercise as a Stay At Home Parent. When I became a stay at home mom four months after my 1 st child was born, this is the same mentality I used to get back into shape and it is how I continue to stay in shape. Here are 7 ways I incorporate fitness into my life as a stay at home mom!
SAHM means stay-at-home mom. It’s an online acronym that mom groups and parenting websites use to describe a mother who stays at home while her.Research by Camille, which shows how stay-at-home parents spend their time, reveals that 65% of mums and dads are not getting as much daily exercise as health experts recommend.
30% said they get less than half an hour of exercise per day. Meanwhile, 35% of stay-at-home parents said they are doing absolutely no exercise at all.The number of men in the United States who are full-time, stay-at-home parents has risen steadily in recent decades, from maybe a million or so in 1984, according to a.“It’s much easier to talk about one another’s roles while you’re deciding to become a stay-at-home [parent] rather than after you’re already home with the kids,” writes Apryl Duncan in About.com’s Parenting section. “Make a plan together beforehand so you’ll know what to expect,” Duncan explains.Everyone needs help sometimes, and it’s absolutely true that being a stay-at-home mom is an incredibly demanding (and rewarding) job.
3. Give yourself a break. Realize that while “chasing children” isn’t enough, we’re at a stage where we likely won’t get.Up to10%cash back · Yes.
As a basic rule of thumb, if you earn more than $400 in a year, you’ll need to report it on your tax return. In today’s gig economy, many stay-at-home parents are finding ways to earn money with flexible work hours. Depending on the type of work and how much you earn while doing it, you could actually be self-employed.Eliminate the stress of going to a job you dislike or doesn’t respect your time as a mother.
Your schedule is much more flexible to schedule in date nights, girls night out, kids activities, school events, etc. You ALWAYS know what’s on the schedule (duh, you’re in charge).Instead, turn the focus toward what you’ll gain by decreasing your expenses and making enough room in your budget to become a stay-at-home parent: Bonding time with your new child A break from the day-to-day grind Not having to drive in rush hour traffic. The High Cost of Being a Stay-at-Home Parent More The longer you stay out of the workforce, the harder it becomes to get back in – and the greater your total income loss gets.

Truly useful advice! My favorite was the advice on living on one income during the transition to being a single income household. Sounds like very obvious advice but I swear I didnt even think of doing this until you suggested. Thanks, definitely going to give that one a try.
Gorgeous mom! I have so much respect for stay home moms! You have lucky kids and you did the right thing!
I am a stay at home mom and I live well. I work hard, no doubt and my husband makes sure that “I stay comfortable”. We travel with the kids all four of them, We take our anniversary vacation each year and we try to be an example to show other SAHM that its no oversized t shirts over here.
I’m fighting really hard to stay home with my babies but my husband wants me back at work. I’ve made significant financial contributions to our family but it’s not enough. I’m getting my business started but everytime I talk about it he applies to jobs on my behalf. I know my time at home is limited and it breaks my heart thinking of my boys being in daycare all day.
Great advice!!I find alot of advice isn’t really helpful or realistic for single moms with infants and no support.I agree with the reselling option.I have been able to see an actual income flipping items on Poshmark. This is an GREAT
option especially if you live around Goodwill outlets!!!Mama’s feel free to use my invite code SHAWANDAH1 for a free 10$!!!
You sound like my mom but your so right excellent video, your definitely made for this you tube thing
Hi! I know this video is was uploaded a while ago but I’d love to know what type of exercise bike that is? Thank you!
I have a license to do hair and have definitely thought about doing hair right at home as baby number two is about to make his debut! Brilliant idea!
This video has great tips! I am 100% guilty of not wanting to cut off my cable. I may have to bite the bullet. Thanks for this mama!
Hey guys, my friend recently made a Facebook group and she would love to help other stay at home moms make money and enjoy their lives. Shes a really good friend of mine and it has been her dream to help others out. I am commenting on here because i know our group is strong and supportive. Make sure to check it out!! https://www.facebook.com/groups/498172907440780/
I also wanted to addwe cancelled cable and now have the Ruku. We were paying almost $300 a month. Now we only pay for Wi-Fi.
I loved this video so much… “It rhymes with Schmarget”… I am a SAHM. I try to limit my trips there to once a month
SAHM here! Tip number 5 is something my husband and I are still working on! It’s a very important one! We do and have done all of the tips mentioned. We cut out cable a long time ago. A few months into my pregnancy we started putting my paycheck into our savings as well. This was once we sat down together and realized we really could just live off of his income. It’s hard and very sacrificial, but worth it if you want to stay at home with your baby. Obviously he made more than I did and we didn’t have all of these unnecessary expenses/bills to begin with so it worked for us. I definitely understand the comment someone made about Aaryn, Tara and Krista spending all the time and married someone who makes way more(I love all of their channels♥️), but everyone lives differently. We have to work our way up.Great video!
You always make me want to workout. Watching before I leave to class. I need to get back to being more active. Get em!!
Yes girl!!!!! I just became a stay at home and it’s amazing I babysitt on the side and I’m working on my YouTube channel.
This is exactly how I have been feeling! I get so depressed seeing other YT channels and seeing moms staying at home with their little ones. Meanwhile, I have my baby at daycare where he’s miserable.:( I feel so guilty!
I wish I could be a Perfectionist and motivated. I’m the opposite…. so frustrating. I have 5 kids and I cannot keep up with a clean everything like this. I keep watching with hope. You rock
Random thoughts on budgeting in order to stay home after baby:
1take into account increased deduction for health insurance (going from individual + spouse to a family plan can be much more expensive) and then depending on your insurance, the cost of all those little baby doctors visits you’ll have to do along the way.
2might not be the case at first (especially if breastfeeding) but figure out what your grocery must haves will be down the line. Adding all the pureed food, pouches, snack and even fruits and veggies can increase what you’re paying dramatically.
3baby clothes as a first time mom I over bought a lot of the smaller sizes. My son decided to grow so quickly that he was in 12-18 months clothes by the time he was 6 months. That means I had a lot of clothes that never got worn. I might be able to pass them down if I have another boy but I wish I had just been smart and kept it simple with mostly pajamas and a few outfits for each size. Reselling clothes only gets you so much.
Love your tips! We are planning for me to switch to working PT once I have baby #2 and tour advice is very helpful. Do you have Hulu? Or YouTube tv? Or? We are debating what to switch to! Thanks!
I have a YouTube just haven’t uploaded in while please subscribe to my channel
Good tips. I don’t know. I’ve done both. Stayed home and worked. I like working and having all the extra money and savings. I don’t like restricting everything so much. Especially since I have two teenagers always need things for school.
Very helpful! I’ll be utilizing the info!
The blacking out comment had me Rotfl!
Love your tips! Can’t believe that I’ve followed you for one year now!
Yes, please do a day in the life about everything you work on as a YouTuber!
Oh, it is hard to be a homemaker/housewife/stay at home mom. Sometimes it is so hard to get anything done.
My name is Michelle Lynn Tackett. I am a full-time homemaker and mother. I love cooking, cleaning, reading, playing games, arts, entertainment, reading and fashion. I love writing blogs about homemaking and entertainment.
Target is indeed addictive! I find that by ordering items from the Target app and then selecting the Drive Up option to pick them up helps me a lot. I only order the items that I need and most importantly, it keeps me out of the store. Lol!
I use to be a stay home mom and loved it and I miss it soooo much even though my kids are older I want to be home working in our home…. I hope one day my channel does better some day and I can be a “ house wife “ although I hate that name. But idk 2 mths in and I have yet to get even a 100 subs:/ and it takes a LOT of time. But I love my memories I captured though:) thanks for the video
This was awesome Krista thanks I’ll be checking out the links
Krista, great tips!! I’m a SAHM & I find your tips all to be true & very important.
I just started my own channel as a creative outlet bc sometimes being home all day gets a bit boring. It keeps me from going crazy .. Great video.. TFS
Thank you so much for this video. I love the content you put on your channel, keep being awesome!! Also, I really needed to hear what you put at the end of your video today, thank you for the empowerment!:)
Congrats on 1 year on YT! I can’t believe I’ve been watching for that long. Time really does fly by!
People should also realize that being a sahm is the ULTIMATE contribution. So moms feel confident in knowing that, even if you aren’t able to earn an income while caring for your family.
Love ❤️ your channel. Tune into our channel for Mommy and Me Storytime and Baking.
You’re looking gorgeous girl I see the change of your diet
I’m guilty of blacking out at Target Great video hun awesome tips!
Very happy for this video ❤️ thank you so much obsessed with this your so intelligent. I really am so blown away you’ve been doing this for a yr and have this many followers WOW. It rhymes with shmarget rotfl . This really was an eye opening vlog. I seriously feel out of date with what’s happening… truly need a hobby.
Great tips! I’m currently attempting to start a business selling refurbished furniture. Only problem is, I love how my pieces turn out, so much that, I keep them instead of selling them lol
I’m also a stay at home mom. Your video is totally relatable.
My girlfriend is making me watches this. Saying: “ You never watch my videos!” So here I am commenting; any other guys watching this?
These ideas are great! I watch an infant a few days a week for extra income. I love staying home with my baby but there is nothing wrong about being a working mom too. These were great tips for any family!
Aloha Brianna…new subscriber here…I’m loving your videos and you’re so beautiful…
I am a new Vlogging mom and am also running a business on Etsy! At the end of your video you said “if you’d like to see a behind the scenes” of that you could share it with us… and I would LOVE to see that as well! Thank you!!!
can anyone explain why her account name is null which is literally the german word for zero
to be honest, i love seeing that some recipes don’t taste even if you make them.
Just rewatching all your vlogs but yes stainless steel straws are the best!

Us mom are honestly the bomb. God bless you. I have three kids, set of twins included and I want like 5 more no lie!!! Keep it up, you’re doing an amazing job!!
Tip #1: Live in the South. It’s cheap out there and the houses are dirt cheap. These tips don’t fly in Cali.
Can you please share your cookie recipe?? Bamboo straws are a great reusable option too!
Thank you for your videos… they really motivate me in the morning ❤️ I’m a new mommy, my little one is 8 months and I’m 5 months pregnant with our second ❤️

A little late but I use the metal straws from Jeffree Star, love them in those fun colors!
Hilarious that you guys spit the food out!! I’ve been there. Your kids are adorable and seem so sweet well done mom!!
Thank you for sharing your successes AND failures!!! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has had to tell everyone, “Don’t eat it. It’s terrible. We’ll order pizza.” lol!!!!
so glad i found this channel when i now have a two month old and feeling like things are beginning to overwhelm me. thanks. newest subscriber here.
I cannot believe I actually found a YouTuber from Cleveland, OH. I’m so shocked. This was a great video
youre kids love you. you’re a great mom! don’t let that dinner ruin your night.
You have the sweetest well behaved children. Good job Mom!! new subscriber.
Instead of the paper straw you can use a reusable metal straw! ❤️
I swear I’m busier now as a stay at home mom of a newborn than when I had a full time career! Making my YouTube vlogs are a challenge but worth it. You are goals sis!
Personally, I have been using these metal straws from Pampered Chef! I love how it’s dishwasher safe (I’m not a big fan of handwashing dishes) and it has it’s own bag so I can take it on-the-go with me and avoid Ziploc baggies. https://www.pamperedchef.com/pws/averymitchell/shop/Entertaining/Barware%7CGlassware/Metal+Straws/100092
Part of me wants to become an Anthropologist but the other part of me wants to be a stay at home mom
A little late to the party but try reusable metal straws gr8 vid bte
I use reusable metal straws that I ordered on amazon, maybe you could try that cause the paper ones really are annoying lol. Beautiful family!!
I love it! Trying not to walk funny while being sore and on a steep hill (story of my life) ❤️ Loved all the clips of the different days. Fav way mask while working out was the cutest!!!! Love your daughter she is really cute!
I love how you include baby girl in your workouts!!! You are looking great girly!!!
@brianna k i love your channels i can watch you everyday all day you inspire me and motivate me and iam almost ready to start my own channel as a mom youtuber just a little scared, but need to get over it and just start, well anyways why dont you use stainless steal straws thats what i bought and use. Xoxo
Love the tips! I was a SAHM 5 years ago for 2 years. I enjoyed it and hope to be a SAHM again in the future. The tips you shared are definitely what I followed while I was a SAHM.
Love it! I just spent $200 at shmarget the other day! Didn’t need anything when I walked in there
My name is Chantel Bolen. Stay at home mom going on 3 years now. Left my $100k job
Have a 7 year old and 3 year old. I suffer from depression bad and feel at times being stay at home mom makes my depression worse. Any advice
Hi, my name is Lennyi am a dutch mom of 3 boys. I recently decided to share how we do things on youtube as well but you are so complete ! Wish I found you before! I am a perfectionist too and it caused a serious burnout ( I am recovering now ). Love how you lay out the kids clothes. In our house we have a rule that the boys can only go downstairs when they are dressed… love the stores you go to. Want them in the Netherlands!!! Are those lash extentions? i am thinking about getting them but I feel like I am too old or something.( i turned 40 recently ) Maybe I will look like a cheap dragqueen. Lots of love ( and chaos) Lenny
CCC JE SUIS UNE maroccaine qui te suis depuis une annee… j adore tes video tes routine tes vlog meme si je comprend pas la moitie:(
Hiking is my fav! I like the exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise. LOL. Hiking, Bike riding, zumba. All of that stuff is so fun to me! I can’t wait until we can go hiking again. It’s cooling down a lot here. I love your shirt in the beginning. (The skull one)
I’m a new subscriber. Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation
Loved this DITL! Your alarm label is awesome and I think I need to get my daughter one of the chairs you have for Presley!
If you’re trying to be a “good human” and not use single-use plastics then you should also stop using those plastic baggies for the kids’ sandwiches. Those things are impossible to recycle and they cause so much pollution.
Every time I watch your videos I hear the same song lol “my heart goes boom boom boom”
I use stainless steel & reusable plastic straws. Got them at Target!
Pioneer Woman reusable plastic straws are the best!! You can just throw them in the washer and reuse them!! ❤️❤️
I don’t see what the big deal is about being a stay at home parent. I did it for years and loved it. It’s a blessing not a chore. And honestly not hard. Stop thinking you’re so special by getting to spend all day with kids and play games
Does making videos motivate you to get up early and be productive?
Or is this something you did before you started making videos?
Any small youtubers wanting to help each other grow?
why don’t you try the bamboo or stainless steel straws? they will last you for ages and won’t broke down like the paper one. xx
Wow your beautiful Great tips, thanks for sharing it helps alot!!! I been desiring to stay at home with my little ones and looking for ideas thanks for sharing New mommy vlogger subbie♀️♀️♀️ Showing some love and support to your channel I hope you show some love mine

The part where you spit your dinner out is hilarious!! Lol Loved this DITL! New to your channel and SAHM community! 😉
Sweetest video!! I cried at the end when you shared about “moms, you are doing a good job” ❤️ needed to hear that! I loved seeing you cuddle your kids and eat popsicles. Sooo sweet!!
My oldest daughter’s name is Paisley, how funny! Presley is so stinking cute. I’ve never heard that name before. So unique. And you are so beautiful & such a good mama!

Dear friend. Very nice to visit your channel. I see your video is great. I subscribe to receive your video every day. ❤❤❤❤
Steel straws work better and last way longer. Even though I don’t currently have one yet.
I try to keep under 10 min too. Repeat “try”. But what ever length urs is we still watch.
Try using silacone or stainless steel straws they last up to ten years and ar reusable!!!
I love all your videos! im a new subbie! id love for us to support eacch others channels!!
Hiking is so fun especially when your exploring:)!!!! Lol that looked like a really steep hill:0!!, loved the video:)!!!!! Thumbs up Jessica:)!!
