If neither of these two work what can i do instead? My legs are very week, my knees aches and my handwrist are in pain.
Hlo…i feel pain at side of hips when sitting cross legged..and not able to stand up from this position…..
This was an eye opener to me. I fall during dog agility practice., Am working on reactive dynamic balance. My first reaction and that of my team mates is to get me off the ground. Now I understand that I should do a calm self check starting from the neck.
Got it.
I’m 64 and had total knee replacement on left knee. Couldn’t get on or off the floor in dignified manner. I’ve been practicing this and hey presto! I can sit on the floor and get up off the floor SO gracefully now! thank you
Thanks great video.
What is the best way or the natural way to go down the stairs without the side handles or crutches for someone with a weak leg muscles or after recovery from foot injury
Dear Doctor, how to get up from bed in the morning
the right way?
REALLY USEFUL,AS I CAN’T GET UP OFTHE FLOOR WITH NOTHING TO HOLD ONTO, SO I WILL BE PRACTISING.THANKYOU FOR DEMO X
Can u help in my after PRP knee treatment stretching nd exercise.
Thank you so much Dr. Jo for this helpful video. My 90 year old mother fell the other day and fortunately I was there. But I had the hardest time because as much as my mother tried to get up, it was very difficult. Finally, I had to call Fire Rescue. Thankfully, she was not injured. Again, thank you for this helpful video about something that many of us take for granted. I’m going to watch your video on Plantar Fasciitis of which I was recently a “victim”. I did take a few weeks for it to finally go away.
I really need to ask a question, why your dogs in all the videos are sleepy or yawning or going to sleep, of course kidding. they are so beautiful. Thanks for your videos and your advises.
Great video as always drjo, can you do a video on how to get out of bed properly? Thank you drjo
You’re great Dr. Jo! So useful to teach this to anyone who is in need of help. Thank you. =)
PLEASE PLEASE demonstrate how to push a dislocated shoulder back into place. I dislocated my shoulder (running a big tiller after a precious rotator cuff tear) and a neighbor called the ambulance. The ER medics said they would not touch it themselves. Said I had to go to the ER. Thirty minute + drive. I managed to shove it back into place pressing against a wall because the pain was so agonizing I could not wait that long. It is a REALLY necessary emergency procedure everyone should know.
Hi there! Thank you so much for thistt video. Can u tell us what muscles to strenghthen to be able to get up? I want to walking but i am afraid of falling
I have a condition that is similar to MS. my PT told me to get up this way and I just could not do it. The ironic thing is that one day when I was on the floor my son said switch legs. Put ur bad leg bent and push up with my good leg and it worked. I just wanted to share this just in case this doesn’t work for you.
I have been sporting the downward dog option since I had both my knees totally replaced in 2017. Guess I make the cut for being flexible, yea me!
I actually fell at work last week and landed on both my knees. Worse thing that could happen to me…. happened….. I am left bruised and swollen. Yes, I know I’m young for all this and yet it’s happened. Had to get my hardware checked and xrayed.
After my fall I didn’t want to do my downward dog at work (I work in a doctors office and bleh floors in medical anything are nasty) I opted for a chair to kinda of slither up with my arms, no knees being used. Was hoping to see something similar to that with your chair.
Hello Dr. Jo, sincere thanks to you for the helpful hints. They are greatly appreciated. I am still recovering from a nasty auto accident, so your helpful hints are greatly appreciated.
you are brilliant. Thanks for everything. I have a little pomeranian named yo-yo who looks like a little lion all the time… lol even when she doesn’t want to. Love your socks. You always have the best socks.
Here’s a great way if knees or hips bother you. While on floor… Think…”let me get my but in air” Get your but up over your feet and legs, legs bent, then you can use your feet and legs strength to pull your torso up. Easy as can be, works every time
What if you have a menu tare? I have problems getting up off the floor sometimes because of it?
Look forward to the video on helping others get upI moved into a 55 and over community and have had 3 neighbors knock on my door to ask to go help someone get up who had fallen and I would like to know the best way.
Lol, one of my favorite topics. You are tall and slender, watching you makes the moves very clear. For those of us who are vertically impaired and more rounded than willowy it’s just going to take a lot of practice. Even with practice, the reality is, if you have ankle, knee, hip, or wrist problems, it will be a mite painful. The techniques are good, practice helps, but, isn’t always fun.
thanks d i will try these move and let you no how vwork
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Able-bodied people do not realize just how many ways there are to be impaired. This transformed a recovery experience for me.
Another keeper from Bob and Brad. Thanks. I’m waiting for the helping video.
Being able to get up from the floor is one of the ways they assess elderly folks being able to live alone. I don’t like that but it is a fact.
Thank you, Cynthia! This video was well done. My neighbor was entranced and started practicing on my living room floor. Yay!
What’s an easy way to get down on the floor without falling and getting hurt?
Show do you suggest removing oneself from a nice warm bath in a classic bathtube? Made the end of the soothing water for arthritic pain but had to call my devoted husband to assist in getting my naked body out of that tub. Sad.
thank you very much for introducing Feldenkrais to the people.
The movements are mind-blowing!
It might be better for your back, but if you are older,or have knee issues its not easy
Dr.thanks for the video. I am.eighty plus had thigh bone fracture and am with steel rod.cannot bend my knee right side so not possible to sit cross legged. Is there any way to come to normal position.
I’m a massive stroke survivor for 5 years now still I’m working for my balance to stand up. My problem I how to move forward.its been very helpful for your video. I’m trying to do it.thank you.
.
I have titanium wires etc holding my kneecap together from when I broke it 12 years ago. So hard to get up and down. I haven’t gotten in the tub because of this and showers are dangerous because of Menieres and Vertigo. If there was a way to soak in a tub again I’d be so happy!!
Thank you, thank you, I have bad knees and always dread sitting on the floor. Getting up was painful and this move is so easy.
Try that with 3 knee replacements and no shoulder strength or the fact my knees will not even bend, all very well if you have no problems
BTW, I’m 84, and am recovering from being hit by a car and having my lemur broken (2 months in the hospital) plus surgery for a herniated disc.
Thank yall so much for this video. Been waiting a long time! Please include wgat muscles you need to strenghthen to be able to do this. Im a spondy n i want to go for walks but im afraid
What do you have for a stroke surviver???No use of left arm/hand…Very little use of left leg/foot…
Read all comments and happy that as 45 old I can do easily 1st one, so sir that means my ankle strong?
Wonderful! A graceful way to get up and down from the floor. Thank you. I just posted this to FB for my friends.
Thank you!
Spending time on the floor with my grandson.
Was having difficulty getting up.
Easy safe and elegant!!!
I can not in in and out of the tub I have a problem getting off the floor I get so dam mad one leg is short from polio but I got to try something thank you for your time
Right now I have a tear in my rotary cuff,I will try this when I can and let you know
Although the spiral looks like a great way to get up from the floor, it looks a bit odd using it to get up from a sitting position in a regular chair and would be rather embarrassing to do in public.
Brads got a case of the scoots, reminds me of my cat when she got worms…. I’m way too baked for this tonight guys…. <3
I am searching for a solution I can ben well with my knees stretched. As soon as I bend them I find it hard to impossible to bend down which in turn makes getting up very difficult. It id the front side of the upper leg that goes into blockage. Do you have any suggestions?
Ah wow I’m recovering from knee and foot surgery this is such a wonderful help really thanks for posting this!
OK: What do I do with a leg that has been amputated 6 inches below the knee? Further exacerbating the situation is the fact that the accident took my Good left leg, the right has a bad knee joint, both legs have 78 year old skin that refuses to accept a prothesis. Do you have any ideas about how I can get up and down without help. Sooner or later I am going to go down and will have to get up on my own. Getting up on my own is essential as I live by myself way back in the mountains at the end of the road. Help me if you can please.
I NEED HELP TO GET DOWN INTO THE BATHTUB THEN OUT OF IT AGAIN BY MYSELF…..AND I DONT DARE TRY TO GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR WITHOUT MY STEPPER YOU HAVE THERE
This is awesome! Didn’t think I’d have the strength to lift off my arm, but I did!
Learning all of this stretches and physical therapy exercises, makes me wonder if I should be an orthopedist or rehab Register nurse someday
Thanks, Dr Jo, this will so help me do floor exercises again. At 72, overweight with PMR with osteoarthritis, pain more pain. I got down an up relatively easily, did not allow myself to stop in any position on the way up this time lol
I stopped taking a bath. I can’t get out of the tub. Showers for me.
Thank you for sharing that with us I have not been on your channel because your notification Bell was off I turned it back on thank you so much for sharing
This is Amazing! I sure wish I had seen this video to help teach my Mother this technique a few years ago. She lost her balance and fell in her closet and couldn’t get herself up. Unfortunately she laid there for almost 24 hours before she was found by her cleaning lady. This technique might have saved her hours of angst! Thanks so much for making this video!!!
I am 45 I practice up downs everyday as part of my exercise routine.
I have two knee replacements. I’m not supposed to kneel on my knees. What other ideas do you have. I can see the benefit of the exercise to strengthen thighs. But getting down and up is necessary sometimes, too.
I had to do this today. As much as my Stroke Husband held out his working hand.
Getting up from cross legged position was difficult, the last one was easy.. thank you.will keep practicing.
Interesting effort to assist. Problem is, too many seniors HANDs AND WRISTS have lost weight bearing capacity. Between arthritis and Parkinson’s, many of us cannot even use a walker safely. Too many falls happen in WET, SLIPPERY bathroom areas and people often are unconscious, then dizzy and perhaps should NOT MOVE THEMSELVES UP FROM A FALL ( broken hips, broken ankles, serious head injury, etc)
Doesn’t work with arthritic arms and titanium knees and hips. But with a sofa can ease yourself up sideways onto the seat.
If a bag is bothering me really bad this is a method I use. I bend over and touch the floor with my fingertips lift my butt up in the air and then slowly unwind one vertebrae at a time.
I’ll have to remember that method in case I’m ever down in an open area.
I’m a 78 year old bachelor, who lives alone. I’m 6 ft tall (I was 6’3″ in my prime) and weigh 200 lbs. Several weeks ago I noticed a dried stain where I must have spilled some liquid (milk I think) in the hallway of my apartment. The hallway is just over 25 feet long and 3 feet wide. I got a pail of warm soapy water and got down on my knees to clean the spot and then found I was unable to get up. Even if I’d known about your method, there wasn’t enough in the hallway room to swing a dead cat, let alone an arm, in order to gain a bit of momentum to get up and certainly nothing to grab hold of. What I ended up doing was crawling down my hallway on all fours to the bathroom at the far end of the hall and, once there, with my right hand I griped the bathtub and with my left hand the rim of the toilet bowl and pushed myself up.
My plan for next time is to just leave the darned stain on the floor.
My wife has weak right arm and right leg due to stroke. This may not work.
All the rest methods are okay, but shifting my weight to my crossed feet is difficult for me. It is refreshing though
your info is great. just please rem your vid is mostly of intetest to lay ppl, so you can skip the extraneous chatter that is standard P.T. class training. think about it, ok? stay well.
I have had both knees done, can’t kneel on them. Looking for way to get myself up.
When I was young, I just got up or down. Now, I have been aware that I need to plan how I move. That said, this video is beyond helpful for me! It makes so much sense to use the momentum of my own body, and a bit of spiral geometry, to let me do what I want easily! Thank you so much for these insights!
Have you got any tips for getting up and down with someone with a replaced hipostwoartgritis in both knees and back and with fibro
I’m a 5’2″ senior and overweight. I have a lot of trouble getting up and down from the floor. I’m so excited to see this and I can’t wait to get started learning. THANK YOU
I used to sit on floor but now I do find I’m experiencing ‘challenges’ getting upright after going horizontal onto floor/ground. Both knees, one was replaced and the other is overdue. To complicate matters, I wear a shoe appliance now for last 2+yrs. All my tried & true methods no longer work for me so I do my upmost to avoid such events.
I figured this out, because I had to. So cool to see that there is reasoning behind it.
I am Indian and to this day I had my dinner on the floor what am I doing here watching to get up from floor? But good to see you explain things God Bless you
It is a long way Up and a long way Down when you are Six Foot Six Inches Tall.
Thanks for the info. I am getting older and am grateful for any help.
Thank you from a 61yo who wears an infant granddaughter while playing with the big sister every weekend!
Great information. I shared this with my parents. I have a mother who’s vertically challenged lol, so I know she can use this. Thanks.
Your first method is the way I’ve been doing it instinctively…after two hip replacements….without the chair.
Hello mam, plzz tell me the exercises for the eye/eyelids. Exercises for increase in the circulation of blood in opthalmic nerve.
One day a triathlete and surfer, next day watching your video on how to stand up from the ground. Sometimes you just have to laugh. Good video thanks
Thank You. It hurts me if I put my hands on my knees to get up and I have tried to find alternatives. The second to the last looks like it would be the best for me. next time I’m down, I’ll try it.
I looked for methods of getting up, without pressing on my knee, in the past. Believe it or not, the best way I’d found until your video, I got from a scene in a movie.
This is so good because Adam shows how to get down on the floor. Getting down is one of the things that keeps seniors from doing floor exercises. Hardly anyone shows how to get down, and if you can’t get down safely to exercise, you don’t even get to the getting up part!
Hello Dr. Jo. can nerve be pinched in the shoulder because of poor posture and make muscle weakness?
Number one that you showed is a common punishment in the Brazilian Army. Recruits from mandatory service and students from the sergeant or officers schools dread the words: “Sit down. 1, 2. Stand up. 1, 2.”.
Might seem silly, but when you have to do it synchronized with your comrades, it can be hell. Plus doing it with a full backpack. I’d rather hold the top part of a push-up than to do sit down-stand up while having my backpack.
If you have severe artheritis and other disability symptoms es these tips dont work I can tell u from experience
Again a timely video.Doing research on what exercises to do to help strengthen my muscles for getting up off the floor.
I slipped on the ice like this, but I was outside behind my car. Glasses ended up under the car. My head hit the bumper. There was no chair around. Tips for this outdoor winter situation?
While gardening, I find myself on my knees. I’ve also had hip replacement, which further complicates things. do you have a suggestion on getting up from this position for a 90yr old?
Hahaha you can’t believe it when you start to lose mobility! Thanks for this.
Love your videos! Your the Bob Rosses of taking care of oneself. I tell anyone that will listen at work and the gym about you guys.
Can I request a progression of exercises to achieve for a front lever from a pull up position, from your unique perspective?
Hey Bob and Brad, what about if you are 2 miles from home out for a walk with no phone on a residential sidewalk and fall? 2 years ago I was doing my usual walk on Spring morning, was looking up at some birds in the gorgeous blue sky and didn’t notice the 2 inch rise in the sidewalk. I am a fast walker and I hit that rise hard and went sailing with nothing but the concrete sidewalk to grab. I dislocated my shoulder. Had to brush myself off with my left arm, put my shoulder back in place and walk back home. Trouble is 2 years later my neck is bothering me and I get vertigo from time to time.
Great advise guysI fell over in my over the bath shower and after getting over the initial shock of the ordeal which was similar to being in a car crash I laid there for a while thinking about different scenarios looking at things solid that I could grab on to and there was nothing apart from the handles for getting in and out of the bath which were far too high for me to get a hold of.I then stuck my feet over the lip of the bath and had to swing myself backwards and forwards like a pendulum until I could grab the edge of the bath and work my way out. by this time the floor had flooded because shower rose had fallen onto the floor.I didn’t break any bones but some bruises. It was quite a long night for me
what happens when the stronger leg is the one that’s hurt? I did that. My right knee was bad. and I fell (tripped over the rug… yup) landed on the bad knee, but weak knee was too weak to hold my body so I fell all the way down. thankfully it was right in front of the couch so I had that to help myself up. Knee blew up like a balloon. went to walk in medical next day. I have crappy state insurance. they said, “Oh it’s sprained” gave me an ace bandage and sent me home.
The second and third look good. Too lazy to try it but I have plans to do it.
Doc B both. I’ve fallen 7 times in2017 “………….. I fell out of bed two nights ago. I was stuck for 3hrs on the floor.. My daughter feels she can’t leave becuse if I fall who’s going to help me
1. How am I going to reach the door to let them in
2. I fell on my side in the bathroom, but I was able to take all the clothes from the clothes bin and I was able to get up with holding onto the sink and bath.
I tried that this time and the second my right knee touched anything it was sooo painful. Then I was in a swat seat and managed to get up last time..
this time I had to ring the ambos and they have this air seat, they turned it on and I got up fine
I’m scared I don’t want to die. My sisters gave up on me, I kicked my husband out. Then my sons both moved out. I’m just alone and scared that if I do fall, how on earth do I get up?
God, how I love a man who knows how to really use a comma!
Excellent instructions. You guys have such useful information. Thank you.
Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!!
Here grandma, I have the perfect video for you ❤️❤️
I usually just jump and land on my feet, but when I broke my leg, I had to be carried. Also, my hip slammed into a metal bar one time at 15 mph, and it hurt a lot to the point that I practically couldn’t walk on it. However, I was still able to get up, and it healed within 5 days.
Tried that first one and at the ripe old age of 22 I have to say, that was damn near impossible for me to do.
Could u show us the ways for those having trouble with the knee and ankle of more than 20 years? Especially with acute gouty arthritis. Hope to get the video so soon.
I can do only for no 2. The rest is not suitable without the hand support. My target is not using hand support.
Number 2 and 3 are legit, and are a good practice to get over the issue,
with 3 being the more reasonable one of the pair, because, knees…
Number 1 is suited for the FIT people under 40, who want to challenge themselves
or for kids that want to play. Otherwise very dangerous for the ankle joint.
If you injure yourself trying that there will be no rewind.
Number 4 is legit too, but, with limitations and mostly will work risk-free
under a certain age, due to the extreme stress applied to the knee joints.
This was great! I fell a couple of years ago and it took me 2-1/2 hours to get off the floor. I can’t put weight on my knee both are bone on bone. What saved me was I was able to grab a coat from the closet and bunch it up under my knees. By grabbing the lip of the kitchen sink I was able to pull myself up after several tries. Any other suggestions that might work?
Many thanks!
That’s exactly the kind of video I need right now…Thank you, teachers Bob and Brad
So, what to do when you can’t support your body on your arms-both elbow and 1 shoulder replacement.
This is all fine and good but like all the other suggestions on how to get up from the floor, one must be able to bend their their knees rather well… this is the bane of my existence! With 2 brand new knee replacements over the course of the last 3 years and doing all the required exercises and then some, I can’t get up from a fall by myself. My balance seems to have disappeared as well. I have a tendency to fall… a lot. I would love to find some exercises that would help a person with my issues. You will have my undying gratitude for any suggestions that could help. Thanks a million folks!
Thank you! I will show this to my mother and see if she can do this next time she falls. It must be frustrating not to be able to use your knees or arms to get up.
Can you upload soon the next video how to help a patient who has fallen
I have my OSCAE next month… I want to prepare this scenario for a test
I am student PT
I have limited rom in my knees due to arthritis. Falling is a fear……
Remember, if all else fails, you can still press the button on your Life Alert neckless.
Just here for the jingle. Be back for the full vid in the morning.
My dad is always falling so I’m going to have him watch this.
Thanks!
I never dreamed I’d have trouble getting off the floor after all the exercising I use to do. I try to keep my stool close by where I can roll over and get on my knees then get up. I’m 73 now. Sad day to me. Things have changed.
Just released a new video sharing a breakdown of how to build up more strength so you can safely get to the floor. Not everyone can safely get to and from the floor. The trick is rebuilding that strength. Start from the top and work your way down!
https://youtu.be/pzPvbAHzOJ8
These videos are a great help. I can get up and down from the chair and sofa without pain or my balance. I would try getting up and down off the floor but I am afrAid of it not working. I have wicked arthritis in my knee and have fallen and had to call 911. My neighbors have helped twice. I keep watching these videos and they work. Great help.
Really interesting, such a simple thing that can cause pain made easy and painless. WWG1WGA
I find going into the tub diagonally much easier.. At library was thunken..my next invention. Personal helium vest..hello how can I help u…I fell..send som…whoa, I had my helium vest on inflated it…so ur fine…no now I can’t get down..down ma’am.. From the ceiling..will send sum one over..thank u weeeeee..
Nobody…
Indians:hold my curry
I mean irrespective of their weight n height indians used to do this in their daily regular activities.
I said this because weight doesnt matter. What matters is ur strength.let us try to build it
My elderly mother fell down the basement stairs and laid there at the bottom for 2 days.
Your very first “get up” is exactly how my husband tore his knee cartilage. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND that method of standing up.
Thanks this is a great problem for a lot of people and it causes fear going out for fear of falling outside too.
Thank you! What a great practical video for all ages really. Anyone can slip and fall on ice, water, leaves etc.
Is it sad that I’m watching this at age 13? The reason why I’m watching this is because I’m overweight and want to learn dancing. But… I just can’t stand up normally
People who wasted time on this guy obviously think they can cheat death.
Anyone that can do those moves don’t need a video to teach them how to get up off the floor.
Very nice BUT none of those would help me.. I need something to hold on to
So the second one is just starting on your knees, turning your body in a overly complicated way just to end up back in your knees and standing up
At age 66 and in fairly good shape I have trouble getting down and up. Life requires people to get “low” now and then such as picking something up off floor or squatting down (my job for one). I thought myself the split squat (didn’t know it was already a known maneuver) but lift myself with my left leg only. Now I know a better way. And that first one you showed where you just stand from cross legs. I’ve seen that one many times and here recently again on YouTube but this is the first time I’ve heard how you do it. You “lean over your feet” and then stand up. I can’t do that without hands but for the first time I’m greatfull to learn this. Funny how one little maneuver in a technique can make such a difference. Thanks man. Hope to see more of these. You just improved my life this morning.
Can’t do the last one because I can’t get my feet flat on the floor. Tight calf muscles I guess.
From comments, I am glad to see that I am not the only one in need of some help on such a basic issue. I would have never thought that one day I might look for a “stand up tutorial”, but that day has come. So, thx for your useful video.
Cheers
Thank you for posting this, come to find outI was getting up the wrong way!
Oh I am thankful to find you I have spinal cord injury but I can do this and I will check out your other videos. Sending love and light
This is okay for strong and healthy people. But for us above eighty it is difficult.teach easy way for weak and elderly.thanks.
I’m sorry to say this video is useless to me. I am 68 years old and not quite as fit as I would like to be. Also one knee Is stiff beyond a 90 degrees bend. So all of these methods are not for me. It would have been nice if there was at least 1 method for people like me. Thankfully there are tons of others that do cover this. It was of course my own expectation management that led me to believe that there would be at least one method that I could use. You did not in any way suggest this.
I wish I could do any of those without having something to hold onto. I have 2 torn meniscus and need a knee replacement I can’t afford.
Its amazing i have been getting off floor sitting cross leg since childhood.
Thank you so much for the easy way to get up and down from the floor. Because I am weak and overweight❤ Happy Thanksgiving
I live in a place where this would be indispensable.
Rather than having someone call 9-1-1.
Are these exercises? I usually do not stand up this way. I just use my arms for support and push up together with my legs
People really need to be told how to get off the floor? Don’t we figure that out when we’re kids?
There is a BBC video on YouTube which says that if you can get up from a cross sit then you will live longer. How true is that Doc?
In Aikido classes, we were taught a similar spiral technique to get up from the floor.
With the cross leg method, try twisting as you go up. So, by the time your standing, your legs are no longer crossed.
Doctor Ben, you need to work with some people who have hip or knee replacement. Often they can not come into hero pose or cannot kneel on their replaced knees. Just a good idea to know something about the people who need sit to standing techniques.
The jump cuts in the video are getting pretty bad now. It’s almost Max Headroom-ish at times. Did you change the video codec recently? This is a new phenomenon. Greta information as always.
For anyone watching this video, who has trouble getting up…I have a double whammy. I had two strokes, the first paralyzing my left side. I got full use of the left arm back but have a very weak but still useable leg. However…because it has no strength to hold my weight on it’s own, my right leg does double duty. Then I had a second stroke, same side effected…I’m actually thankful for that.
But now I have arthritis in my knee…guess which one? The right knee. So can’t knee on the left, hurts like the blazes to kneel on the right. And I have gotten on the floor to exercise even with these issues.
I found that I need to just ‘stand’ the hurt I kneel so I am on hands & kneels & then bring my left (weak) knee up & hold it with my arm while I bring the other foot up so I can straighten my right leg straight. And lift. Sometimes it takes two or three tries but it works for me. So I thought I would pass that along here in case what the two gentlemen showing here doesn’t work for you?
very good. Although, a simple visual, with less talking would be much better. No insult intended. It’s for those of us that are not as sprightly as you at a certain age, and don’t excerise enough, and just want to get up off the floor without embarassing ourselves. Thanks. You look great! I suppose you don’t have a bad, life long sweet tooth!:-)
I have severe arthritis in my knees and hips. Can’t get on my knees. These ideas won’t work for me.
Unfortunately, when older people lose use of their bodies…use of brain declines also
No way in the world I can do this. God help me if I ever fall. I can’t even get out of the tub. Showers only for this girl.
Thank you for doing this. I will have to try some of the techniques you showed. I never would have thought to put one leg out, or to put your hands on your knees to push up. Even if you don’t fall these are good tips on how to get up off the floor. “Hi”:-)
