how many exercices and repetitions/sets do you recommend per day to achieve this skill?
Impressive to see someone in such great shape still has somewhere to progress.
this is actually a great tutorial. You best one ive seen. Liked.
I reached my V/I Sit really differently. I’ve never though of these progressions, awesome ideas there man!
Gabo please reply to this
I follow your workout
I dont know how to explain it properly but when I’m put my legs in a straddle position I feel like I have some kind of tightness near my hip. Is it because of lack of experience in doing straddle or is it something serious
Please reply
I love how the exercises are broken down and proper form is shown. So many people don’t have the right form doing these exercises and that’s why they can’t connect to the muscle
Trying this tomorrow, even though I know it won’t be as easy as Serene makes it look
One of the best tutorials on the L-sit /V-sit on youtube. Thanks bro
Hey @SaturnoMovement I saw your elbow turned outwards when preforming the action. I saw somany turning the elbow inwards. What is the difference?
Im african and i want to know what to i have to do get a body like yours?
finally the most waited video. you are an inspiration. Btw I do drawings of anime characters would love if you could subscribe
I can’t go from tuck l sit to full l sit(kick to l sit from the tucked position), i lose balance and i feel it in my lower back, and when doing the l sit should you squeeze the quads and push them further or just pointing the toes without squeezing the quads?
I actually could do the V sit then i progressed to the L sit, i found it easier to maintain a higher level of peak than an L sit. Why?
Forward bend with toes upward is the hardest thing i’ve ever try in my 22. It takes me 14 days to really bend forward without help from my hands. but now its time for v-sit, i’ try it before. Thanks for the workout guys.
There’s gotta be atleast one dinosaur with a long ass torso and short arms that can’t do it tho
First he should enter In v-sit by benting legs

That’s how I learn from u gabo sir
Thank you
it’s great seeing you two work together on both of your channels…want to see more of it!
Thank you! Brutal but do you think these will help me gain strength for jump throughs from downward dog to sit as in the Ashtanga practice? thanks!
Who else came here thinking that he meant how to sit like L?
01:49 I come back to this video from time to time just to watch Daniel go “oof”. I feel better just knowing he also dreads compression work.
Hi Gabo, I have some questions that I need to know your opinion.
What’s all muscles to use in V-Sit perform?
In my opinion, I think it use Triceps, core, and Quads. What do you think?
Thank you for your answer.
I know you said it’s an excuse but I think my arms are deadass too short to do this. When I sit on my ass with my back straight, shoulders back and chest out my palms hit the ground when I fully extend my arms down straight. Should I use my abs to curl my ass up off the floor or am I just gonna have to order some parallettes to do this?
0:05 Cool! I’m gonna be doing this
0:12 OK, this….is….hard
0:20 Fuck, I’ll have to get back to this later.
Some f**king good tips to get those two moves, by here!!!! Thanks dude!
His body looks like its sculpted from clay by an ancient greek sculptor (no homo)
Just finished this routine couldn’t get my legs fully extended out for the v sit just my knees but man this was so good! Love this thank you so much gaboo kicked my ass
I wish everything was explained this well. Thanks for showing how to do it right!
Man, im finally getting kind of able to hold l sit, i just find it hard to keep my legs straight
Hey, how can I achieve the l-sit on floor and holding my legs on the bar?:)
impressive
really good tutorial, good exercises, short and to the point, nice editing, nice quality, nice music
just well done overall
He went No mercy mode on him! You got get back at him on your next collab Daniel!
Dude, I’m doing your routine already about 2 weeks, and I can see expressive results, this compression strenght routine plus flexbility it’s just amazing, I can now combine in one just training my two favorite things! Thank you so much, you are amazing.
ps: I’m doing the pull routine too hahaha, your videos are just so good!
Excellent progression of v sit exercises. These methods will be great for my hamstring and core strength. I will definately attempt this routine. Thanks for posting!
Witaj Pal. Pzdr. Szymon. lat 44.
Ive almost finished level 2 in Calimove’s Mobility program. But. I think this is going to be very helpful. I really want to do the V-sit.
Essential; no blablabbing on the fall of the Roman Empire; visual illustration of what you are talking about. Thumb up for sure.
First step should be to have a perfect pike compression…. Face between shins… Otherwise no amount of hip flexor strength gonna make it work
The weirdest thing about v sit is that its a core exercise but the main muscle you need to be strong at is your triceps. So train tricepts guys
I saw u first in fitnessfaq channel…
Daniel and ur colab…
I like content of both of u…
Yesterday i subscribed u…
All the best…
Is V sit working the lats? Or am I just not flexible enough yet lol
Drills are not different or better than anyone Else. On the other hamd, explanation of the little but important details, satisfying.
I am just siting here watching this and I already feel the pain. So discouraging, such a long way to go! But I am determined to get there, and I will. (Hey! Did I just say that?)
What’s the name of the artist and song? Really digging the Chillhop song.
Will try some of your progressions. Very close to getting V-sit down.
Seated forward fold is the most difficult and boring part of the training… It will take months to get to the point where it becomes effortless… Only thn we can hope to achieve a v sit
I’m 5”8 173cm I cant lift my butt off the floor my arms just arnt long enough
I never thought this will be the same or harder than doing power moves in calisthenics. Great collab!
Bravissimo!!!
I can get in a v sit position for a second but i keep falling backwards
I consider my triceps strong, but it seems that theres the place i lack some strenght for this exercise.
Great video! I love the way Serene breaks down the exercises! The audible breathing is great without queuing.
How many days a week is this recommended? I feel really tight after a deep stretch the day after lol
What country are u from malin? Nice progression ill work on it!
Daniel he’s a Beast, but he’s Stuck in seated forward bend just like me
bro you are amazing, wish I could have you as my personal trainer
+TraningPal do you master each of these excersices before moving onto the next ones or do you do each one in a workout session? Thanks!
Me: well, its time to do homework
Larosa ‘upload a video’
Me: well its time to workout.
Should compression work (at the end of the vid) be done alongside V-sit progressions or in a separate workout?
it’s hard to find a Chanel with no posing but knowledge and good explanation. This is one!
Keep it up Hendrix! 😉
Hey Gabo! What an awesome song at the very end! Can i listen to it on soundcloud?
very good….that v sit you did looked like invisible strings pulling your legs up
Good video. But this looks more like an Lsit tutorial (no hate bro)
I’m nowhere near as strong as Daniel, but i think i might actually beat him to a V-sit. Obviously, this is pure vanity but it feels like quite an accomplishment to be able to perform a skill the strength athletes you idolize can’t. It shows that to achieve these skills you really need to dedicate quite some time to specialized training. I hope i can get it in the next 6 weeks. Then i can program it in as skill work together with handstand practice and focus on more general strength in my workouts again.
And big thanks to Gabo, the exercises he shows in this video and the video featuring Tom Merrick are extremely helpful.
For how long should I hold the floor l-sit? I can do it for 10 15 seconds
I have a calisthenic canal. Who can help me, I appreciate it.
https://youtu.be/6Mvt8ICTJBQ
How long should you be able to hold the isometric exercises before progressing?
where can i find the other hip flexor strength workout video please?
Amazing. thank you so much for posting this, definitely setting this as a goal
Started 11th april(but i missed 1 week of workout in total) now i can do the v sit but i must still work on it
3:46 that movement with the wall actually is very smart and seems insane effective you should put it early in the video bro it looks like the best exercise for V sit training. And thanks for tutorial cheers!
Amazing core workout. Just starting on my journey from l sit to v sit.
My strength is building a lot considerong im only 5 months doing calisthenics. I noticed i have the worst mobility and balance though. Im making it a big deal to work on this so i can perform skills strictly. I am having so much stretch pain but that how i know its working. Thanks gabo for your elite skills and the wonderful tutorials. Truly giving me inspiration to focus more on form, mobility and balance over pure strength and power.you are a wonderful individual that definately shows you love what you do and love those who peruse this passion as well. Have an awesome day gabo and most importantly a balanced and loving life.
i see this video as the most effective exercises to achieve the V shit
I’m tried this tutorial in the totaly days whit finally complete the V-shit thanks man aprecied that
You force me to train even if its night time thank you so much
This is hard (not all about brute muscles strength). Gabo’s and Larosa’s V-sit are some of the best V-sit I saw.
This video is done differently, great concept, thanks for ur work as always best athlete ☀️☀️
I actually never feel my forward fall because I’m not even able to sit on the floor with my back 90° and my legs full stretched out in front of my let alone do like 180° like you do so what do I do now? The forward fall just hurts cuz my abs push against eachother
Awesome video bro!:) Cant wait to front and back lever tutorial:)
U tried this yesterday. When I come to the tuck”V sit suported by the wall” I was wasted…Anyway great tutorial…Thanks!
Love to see how the pros struggle. Makes them more human and shows that everyone struggles at some point. Great video!!!
How long does it generally take to get to this level on average? 2 months maybe?
Whats the music at the end? I can’t find it on his soundcloud
In this video you can see how to training the V-sit! The most important bodyweight exercises you can do at home or in the gym.
English subtitles are available by using the youtube option.

O v site do larossa é mto avançado, acho que ja é considerado i site.
I am fat bit i can hold lsit in perfect form fir 16 seconds.how?
Really good and easy-to-follow tutorial. Great music as well.
WELL DONE GREAT JOB GOOD MUSIC! GREAT WOUT AND YOU ARE STROONG!♥️♥️♥️♥️✅✅✅✅♥️
I think his V-sit is more limited by a lack of flexibility than just strength. I’m also surprised they didn’t work the straddle method. That’s where you straddle your L-sit, lift up to V-sit and then put your legs together.
This park looks so goood!!! lol You need to build your house overthere haha
I was looking for Taehyung saying “Sit down! Sit down” (shit down shit down) but okay…
Andrea larosa please front lever progression new video I request you
You know the exercise is good when a calisthenics athlete is struggling doing it
PLEASE TWO FINGERS PLANCHE TUTORIAL, PLEASE LAROSA, AND MANNA BUT FIRST TWO FINGERS PLANCHE
That was tough. I have 20 seconds of lsit ground and still struggled here. Thanks gabo.
The fact that you do not have more subs than Chris Hernia bothers me
I know the best online workouts guides. Go to Unflexal and get the best workouts instructions.
You guys both have such humble and professional attitude! I have subscribed to both!
The one thing i can do slightly better than Daniel i feel good today
This is exactly what I was looking for! Excellent video instruction and PDF guide.
Belle le old clips alla fine XD. Che nostalgia tornare indietro di qualche anno…
I’m a PT. An excellent presentation Serene. Good explanations.
Great tips there man! I’ve reached my I/V sit differently, just by trying trying and trying haha
I’m not doing these exercises but this sounds and looks brutal…I almost can feel his pain.
My quad’s just cramp when i try to hold L sit for more than 10 seconds smh
Finally your v-sit wait from a long time
Request One arm pull ups
Amazing video!, I loved it!, It would be a good idea to do a “How to do Maltese”
#BRASIL

from tomorrow morning I’ll begin with seated spike butt lifts
good vid
Hey Gabo awesome video, do you have any videos dedicated to Overhead shoulder mobility? I suck at it and it’s preventing me from proper HS training. Working on compression strength and shoulder mobility at the same time! Cheers
Does there need to be a full rest (3-5 minutes) in between each set of each exercise or in between each exercise change? That is, do I take a full rest in between each set of 3 for each one, or only after the three sets?
Hey when I type in my email address it says my email is not valid? Also, do you have any complete calisthenics programs I can follow? I’d like to get more into calisthenics training and build my strength, flexibility and mobility..let me know thank you.
Nice tutorial!! What is your experience with muscle growth from those isometrics? I love it from a strength perspective anyway but it would be interesting to know!
Everytime i wonder if my arms to short or iam to stupid for this.
When i try a L-Sit with my hands on the ground, i cant bearly lift up, even when my shoulders are low and i try my best.
It feels like theres no more room to go down.
And no, iam not too weak, i can perform a proper sideflag.
What i lije about andrea is that he always tell the correct progressions
Superb man
when i try to go a bit further than L-Sit in a dip position my upper body tilts backwards and i cant cold this position and fall XD:D lol
Malin, you can buy a pop-filter for your microphone to soften the “p” sound if you’d like
If I were to sit straight, my palms hardly touched the floor. Can zi still do the L sit?
I tried this way too hard xd. I can hold l sit on ground like 20-30 sec
@ 2:50 smh maintain that standard. good form=good technique=no injury
I can hold the tuck v sit for so long with my knees touching my chest, so proud of myself, a big thank you to my boy, work fucking pays man
hey gabo, I have got a question: Im now going to start training for the vsit and I follow a PushPullLegs split. how do I incorporate this routine into such days? On push, legs days? at the end of my workout or in the beginning
I believe there is a more effective way to achieve the mobility required, obviously time, but more so the stretching needs to be far more acute, you must contact me for more details. although everything is perfect with what you guys where doing
I can feel al lot more pressure on my triceps on a v sit than an l sit
Will we ever see you doing a Manna again? Or thats a skill that you cant do anymore
I can hold L-sits for 30 seconds now, sometimes as a support hold variation warmup, will attempt doing this soon.
Gotta get them gains and skills.
Please tell me how to point our toes
When i do it with some more strength
I get noght in my calfs
Please tell me
How can i progress in thik:(
Hey Gabo love your work but wouldn’t passive stretching between sets make it more like to injure myself or won’t it over lose the muscles to use the appropriate tension for strength?
Hey bro..How long it’s take to come L SIT. just nw i started doing calisthenics..first of all i want to do this movement. Thanks!
Really good straight to the point videos. Keep em coming.:)
As indeed, the tuck v-sit on the group is way easy for me i can hold up to 10sec. However, the v-sit is rlly hard.
Thanks for sharing such routing, it’s helping me a lot with my v-sit journey. Much appreciation from Algeria
NAMASTE.
I am stunned at the quality of every single one of your videos. I don’t believe I’ve ever had the patience to watch whole 20 minute follow through videos like yours for fitness, but it’s really fun, and really gives the impression that any of the moves you do, we can do with practice. Very encouraging, lighthearted and fun to watch. Keep it up, looking forward to watching all your other tutorials!!
P.S: I am certain many, many of your viewers also appreciate the free transcripts and PDFs a lot! If you ever decide on putting up ads, I’m sure we’ll be more than glad to watch them for you at the end of each video, for example.
You guys are both great. Daniel, seeing you work that hard is pretty damned inspiring. Like to see where you’re at in six weeks or so.
1:48 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA first time ever seeing Daniel dread an exercise… before it begins. I couldn’t stop laughing.
I learned something very interesting, today. Doing a leg lift more than 90 degrees (such as in the L-sit starting position), the psoas muscle is used. It’s a weird in that respect, such a large muscle that’s hidden.
One of the best tutorial videos ever. No non sense and directly down to business. Thanks!
Gabo! Wonderful and really helpful tutorial my friend. I can’t wait for my V-sit.
i’m actually very surprise that my v-sit is better than the Daniel’s one!
Man Gabo, I LOVE this video! I tried to do these exercises this weekend. It was a sad, sad thing to see! LoL! However, I am undeterred. The potential gains in strength and flexibility are too enticing to me!
Thank you for this video!
Well, shit. I guess I’ve got no excuse to not start training this. Cheers guys.
This video will also fill in some gaps in my L-sit to handstand transition, I think. Lots of new stuff here. Thanks, Gabo!
Really great video. I thought I was fit and strong. Yesterday I did 422 press up burpees in 35 minutes. I do 250 pull ups in a workout. I can barely do an L-sit! This is very humbling but I want to get that hit mobility strength and this is great. Thanks for the video.
ho gia messo in pratica i primi esercizi dell episodio 1 e ora ho 20 secondi di l sit, grazie andre, sei mitico
I do love this channel! First time I watch it and I love this routine I will apply it
I’m very proud of you accomplishemts! I’m really glad you left THENX, a very smart move you made. Anyways, Thanks sharing!
Fellow yoga teacher here. I noticed that at 4:50 Daniel was breathing in while lifting and breathing out when coming down. But breathing in when lifting I believe might be counterproductive at least it is for me when I do this exercise. Because for lifting one’s body this way one has to engage one’s abdominal muscles (and lower one’s ribs I guess), compress the belly, but breathing in makes it necessary for the body to do the opposite: relax the stomach muscles and extend the belly at least to a degree and lift the ribs. For me at least it makes a huge difference: when I try to breathe in when lifting I can’t get nearly as high, because my stomach muscles and the muscles that lower my ribs won’t engage as fully as they can while I’m breathing out. I would love to see if Daniel would find the exercise easier, too, if he reversed his breathing pattern!
Thank you for the video, how many set and reps do you recommend?
Thank you for another brutal routine!
I’m going to be doing this one, the pistol squat one and the handstand one for beginners as one workout, twice a week. Maybe that is not a lot for some of the progressions where you asked to do it everyday, but I will add another workout (B) to the mix, and some hiit in between, to be doing other things that I want to learn. Let’s see if I can do it all for a month! Thank you for the awesome content!! You’re great!
Can you please stop saying “flat tummy” lol you guys are better than this.
gabi pls make a video about gymnast/calisthenics moves showcase
now that I know how to get to a vsit from an lsit.. how do I get to an lsit
Gabo has one of the best body in the world.
Tap like if u agree
Thank you for sharing this Mind Pump! I have never tried this variation of a sit-up before so looking forward to putting it into practice.
I tried it for a short time, it’s working for me. I can stand it as well but my quadriceps hurt. Any tips please?
Never can do it.. As mutch im fit and good in calisthenics i cant do l sit and flag
I am experiencing elbow pain while practicing this (i think its the funny bone). Any idea how to fix this?
Un maestro!!!!.. Gracias por todos tus consejos y rutinas…
Gud flexibility. But my brother the overall postures that u performed comes in yoga.
Hey gabo! This is a great v sit tutorial. I have a question. When i lift my legs from l sit to half v sit my arms are unlocking and they want to bent.i try a lot to keep them straight. But they are not looking forward. Is this normal? Should i try to lock them forward? Is this a sign of poor lock arm strength? Thnx:))
Gud flexibility. But my brother the overall postures that u performed comes in yoga.
Great tips, starting to make some progress but my writs are starting to hurt a little will that disappear over time?
Ciao. Grazie, fisico Spettacolare
dude! amazing flexibility and strengh as well… thumb up brotha!
I want to enlarge my neck like you, which routine should i follow?
Yours, a giraffe
holy fuck man this is the hardest thing ive done this year, no joke
stretching is painful but your words helped me go through it
Them v sit tuck holds really works for me, my tuck is high as ever. Just gotta work on leg conpression.

You are fabulous!! Thanks for describing and demonstrating the perfect vsit.
These guys are both legends in their own rights and humble down to earth guys, respect. Great Collab hope to see more
Bro I have been on FitnessFAQs for a while now and seen you on it before, but this alone caused me to subscribe to you. Its so great, I love it because I can see and feel the working.
Andrea hi, can you show us how handstand for beginners with basics please!!!
U got a new subscriber. Ull see a before and after soon by me
This involves a long time of training, until today my v sit is shit.
Holy shhhhiit bro nice content, using yoga and calisthenics, what a great combination
I guess I need to do some cardio because my ass is literally too big and my arms actually barely reach the ground. No lie.
any daily routines for the people who don’t have nice weather outside?
Thank you so much Gabo/Gabi! I’m having a hard time finding V-sit progressions and workout routines to do V-sit.
Now I’m very confident that i’m gonna reach my goal of doing v-sit before summer vacation ends.
Thank you so much!!!!
Larosa you are the best!! Can you make a video for manna pls
Thanks to your tutorials, I managed to get a solid L-sit and then my first V-sit! Thank you so much Gabo, I love you!!
Amazing tutorial. Although most people who watch these tutorials can ingest more technicality of the move.
I feel you dumb it way down for people to understand it.
