I think you are the only one who teach archer push up this good, other youtubers I see only teach using negative form only, which is still hard for me, but you teach us step by step from wide push, elevated platform, negative form, until success doing archer push up.
Right now I’m learning using elevated platform to train thanks to your idea, and I am getting better each day. I think I might be able to do the real archer push up one day. Thank you so much for this perfect guide
Thanks for ur precious videos.i like ur all videos. I am started doing ur workouts. Pls make some workouts using stairs.
Wish your views were better like a mirrored room or even outside to see your techniques better Yes indeed, great form and strength. But may not be able to do a 1/3rd of these push up versions due to rotator cuff tears. Can you do some injury repair strengthening videos. Just discovered your site.
Used to do them before when I was like 10. Since then I got heavier and only went to gym so calisthenics are a bit hard but I wouldn’t say extra weight is bad for this. It help to get stronger. (Not fat btw just saying)
In a push day, how it is better? shoulders, chest and then triceps or chest, shoulders and then triceps?
300 to 1 on likes. You must be doing something right. Your videos have the right amount of brevity and detail. I’m gonna try progressing to archers soon and look like Legolas in no time. Thanks Mahn.
I just started my YouTube channel and have my first video up right now. Austin is one of my inspirations and it would be great if you could give me feedback on the video!! Have a great day if you’re reading this! ❤️
Pls make the video which push up should be done for leg, shoulder, Chest, back workout as warm up exercise
thanks this helped a lot! this definitely should have more views
Hey just wanted to say I’m at the last progression after doing this for weeks. I can do 6 5 5 2 (then I do 3 reps of negatives after the 2). My archer push ups are not as pretty as yours so I’m going to keep doing this until I can do 4 sets of 8. The OAP will be next.
What a well explained video!
Thanks. Definitely going to subscribe!:)
bro your chest is no doubt your best looking muscle. I hope i get one like yours
Your boy here weighs around 280 lbs. and got his first archer push up!:) #progress
love from india… i just want to give you the label “iron lady” hats off for the hard work…!!!
Love ur exercise tips & demos. I use it & definately makes me want to hit the gym & work out. Ur a machine!
I’m unable to do BodyBULDING due to multiple hernia surgery the only things I can do is push ups and Swiming
If you know some swimming moves let me know
When we do the one hand on chair push up and the left hand on chair, which chest muscle is worked?
Is it right or left?
Great videos, man! Subscriped instantly. I like it that you are so beginners orientated and explain everything in detail. Quite refreshing compared to all these other “watch me doing a hundred shirtless pushups”guys. You deserve way more attention.
what are you doing to build your traps? theyre pretty huge for body exercises imo
mirin’
Honestly, I watch a lot of channels on YouTube and you are a hidden gem. By far my favorite channel. Keep up the good content.
I do so many of these. Didn’t know their names. Now, I do. Thank YOU
Hey, what about normal decline push-up? It’s less effective than diamond decline push up, I’m targetting then more overall chest than upper chest or standard decline push up is also good alternative for incline dumbell press, especialli if I add some weights then?
Not even exercising, we are constantly bombarded with advertisements.
Jmm hmm niche jakr apni saannss andr khichte hai ton saari frrsshh ki mitti hmmaare naak ke annddrr
loved ur video. could u also make a video on getting bigger arms like urs thanks!!
These exercises look pretty dangerous for shoulders and elbows but I’m recovering from a surgery so can’t try how they really feel
My left chest is big for right now. But my right chest was imbalance muscle.. How to fix it at home?
Народ побил рекорд за 37 мин 509 раза отжумался. Посмотрите https://youtu.be/HRJeS5-C4aA
When you do chest, do you do upper and lower chest one day, and then outer and inner chest the next time you do chest, or do you do it all in one day?
Hey! I can do regular pushups, clap push ups, diamonds, but I can’t even get a single rep of the archer, any help?
Nice advises, I am watching your videos once in while, and I have noticed (of course it is very obvious) that your body is bigger than few months ago, what is the secret? how many hours a day are you spending for working out? and what exercises usually are you doing the most? and beside that you eat well, right? how many meals a day? all proteins? no carbs? no cakes? cookies? chocolates? and do you like to get bigger? Thank you for your vidoes.
Unfortunately I get nothing but shoulder tri activation on the diamond face. I wonder if there is any other movements that hit that upper chest.
I have found you yesterday and have been reviewing you videos and I’m like…who are you? OMG inspirational and strong! Amazed!
I’m definitely doing the decline diamonds. And the staggered. I need more explosive work
You make working out so interesting as one can never get bored with the amount of variations you provide. They are especially excellent as we are all on lockdown npw so we have the time now to practice
Best push up variations I have ever seen! Adding to my favorites and incorporating into my workout
Wow!!! Absolutely incredible! Can’t wait to try some of those out!
Could you list in the video description what muscle/s each position is primarily targeting? That would make this a really helpful video for people looking to work specific muscles, e.g. shoulders, chest, triceps, etc.
I’ve only used mine for “Parallel grip push-ups” and “Wide push-ups”. It would be nice to know what muscles all those other variations target and would make this an educational video instead of just a demonstration.
Good video, I realize now that I’ve been doing my archer-pushups wrong were I didn’t have the elbow tucked into the ribs close enough. It’s alot more challenging now and alot more rewarding.
Just hit 100k on Instagram! GIVEAWAY and challenge coming soon!!!

you are phenomenal! I love doing push ups would you suggest doing them each morning and would this increase my strength? you are fantastic!! thank you so much Viki
Great video!!!! You are a hidden gem. Girl, I can barely do 10 push ups the regular way lol. However, I want to challenge myself to accomplish ALL of your variations. First for a novice such as myself which push up variation should I start with first?? And how many sets…. how often a week? Or do you think I should try to do your entire variations? Not sure how to get the best out of your information.

Hi! Can you please upload a tutorial on pull ups? I JUST HAVE A PULL UP BAR
I really love and a precise the format of your videos, there so straight forward and informative!
Yo Austin, when are the double dip bars and pull up bars going to drop?
Nice, thanks! Had to miss the gym tonight so I did 7 sets of 40 hands-up-push-ups with the last set being a 50 rep burnout. My upper chest had an huge pump afterwards!
Side note: put on a skullcandy hesh 3 and listen to some UXN for increased performance, lol
Hey do you do nurtion plan and work out plans let me know thanks…
At 1:53 Is that elbow positioning optimal in terms of safety? I know it’s a lot harder to get that tucked elbow position since your arms are further out front than standard pushups. It just looked to me like that’s the exact flared position we generally avoid with pushups.
Hello. Hopefully you continue reading the comments on this video. I was wondering, since I suffer from tendinitis (elbows only, for now) due to the nature of my job (used to work with power-tools, they weight and vibrate quite a lot) what variation you reckon puts the least amount of stress on the elbows. I mean, I know you just can’t avoid the pressure on them, but at least have a bit of a less stressful push up workout. I got myself a pair of elbow straps… they help a bit, but it still hurts, especially on the dips. I’m quite lanky and skinny, too ( 6’2″ / 176lbs ) Anyways, thank you for the videos, you’re charismatic and inspiring:) P.S: I do push ups once every 2 days, until exhaustion. I also never count and do 4 to 5 reps.
Such great content.. im rooting for you to blow up on here soon!!
You speak so well. Your narration is very easy to follow. Thanks.
I want this rag btw hahahah from which site or place you have got it bro @@
AD, certainly I will all variations. Currently I’m working on my front lever.
Do push ups along with the video and you’ve got yourself one pretty hardcore workout, my friend:)
Omg, wow…I can only dream about it. I cant do nor one!! I am weak. And very slim (ectomorph). Still doing it only on knees. Also I use dumbells and work different exercises at home. My arms are forming a bit, i see difference, but I am still weak. Plank on elbows ok, but holding on hands is still tough. I want be strong. You are amazing. Strong and still pretty fitness woman.
I did 20 set of push up for progression 1, also for 2 and 3. After like three days of doing that, I did my first archer push up! Thanks bro!:)
Hi Austin what % of people can do 100 push-ups non stop??
How to do 100 push-ups non stop
Great exercises but surely you got to be super fit to do these. I thought I was reasonably fit and strong but I cant complete one…..I can only do a plank for 30 seconds before I am wobbling like a jelly. any tips for me super fit lady?
The first 2 days using this i can feel it in my right upper chest. Now i can’t feel it..:(
Thank you man! This is really helpful. I initially assumed that progressions for these involved using the knees, but boy was a I wrong.
Hi austin,, i am one of your follower from india…And I also doing body weight work out for a month…Can u pls tell me the week routine of bodyweight work out… Should I go for one or two muscle on a day or what?? I am very confused and want know…
I’ve seen other people rotate their hand facing forward on the bending arm during archer push ups. Is this necessary or is it ok to keep your hands facing outwards like you demonstrate here?
Let me ask what do you need to learn to make videos like this.. thanks.
Great variety of exercises. As always, thank you for the amazing content you put out.
Hey Austin! Just got the Double Dip Bar! Do you have a ruff idea of when they will be shipped?
Can anyone tell me the name of his digital watch? I need one like this.
You arch your back too much on the end of the push and you should keep your chin slightly up and almost touch the floor with your chest for full range of motion.
I skipped one or two of the steps….. I can do the archer(not sure about proper form) but the problem I’m having is discomfort in one of my shoulders, I think it’s joint not muscle?
Is it possible this is from bad form & not an underlying problem I dont know about?
camera angle makes it look like hes recording this on a sinking ship
Guys do I breathe in when I lower down or do I breathe in when I go up?
i subscribed because your sub count was 99 and i felt better after seeing it at 100
I wish I saw this before I got shoulder injury when doing this push ups. Thank you so much man, I can’t believe you have less subscribers and views, you deserve a lot more and one of the best!
I learned something then I subscribed, thankyou for the guide man it helps alot
Did you do all those in one session? Elbows in, or you’ll need a straw to drink your coffee before you hit 50. Think long term. Joints. I’m still impressed.
wonder why he didn’t say what part of the chest you’ll be working and that the upper pictorial
my wrists hurt after doing 100 of pushups over the last few years have any advice ( in not kidding I do 300 on chest days and it has gave me wrist problems).
Really really great channel it is a hidden gem and honestly this lady’s a fitness beast excellent form..
You got a perfect athlete body buddy….
Appreciated…
Love from INDIA
Hey, this was an actual great video! The angles helped alot
One problem though, one common thing they tell you to do is keep the arm fully straight. But i noticed that if i do that, my straight arm feels like its about to snap, and I’m not sure is if it’s because I’m:
a) Not strong enough, aka need to keep progressing
b) my posture is wrong, I am keeping my arm too straight [it bends slightly backwards when fully straight], and need to keep a tiny angle of bend to prevent injury
Do you have any suggestions about this?
I just… I can’t… After all Progressions My body just refuses to do Archer Push Ups, too hard I’m afraid to dislocate my shoulder or break my arm Damn you Freeletics…
nice collection of pushup variations, maybe you would like to include Pendulum pushup and Superman pushup too. them good:P
Love your content Austin and quite keen to give these exercises a go:) just had a bit of a constructive criticism if you will..
The amount of neck flexion you have during these push ups made me wonder if its just how you perform your reps? Or maybe due to fatigue?
I always thought that if you do your best to have a neutral spine/neck then you could get more depth, stronger contractions and personally I believe the reps would look cleaner too
But please don’t think I’m trying to put you down in anyway, love the channel and love your creativity with these sorts of vids
Keep it up mate:)
Thanks for this video. I’ve gotten bored with doing traditional push-ups so I found this video and started doing these ones. I can do almost of all of these but some I couldn’t do because I don’t have the equipment to.
I’m doing x5 minimum of every pushup in your video so it counts as 100+ push-ups but all different.
Btw your strength and balance to do these different push-ups is quite impressive well done!
Don’t tell me that she did this in 7 minutes without rest.
Well even in 7 years….
Bravo
What is the name of the instrument that you use in archer push up
Me learning one hand push he says learn archer first.
Also me learning archer push he says learn one hand push up first.
i legit did this for 6 weeks and saw major developments. i do a slight variation though.
Hey buddy, you dont deserve million subscribers……… but you do deserve billions subscribers…:)
When i tuck my elbows in for a pushup I get a pinch feeling in my right shoulder. I had a rotator cuff injury before and now it is somewhat healed. When i flare out my elbows slightly more I don’t get that pinch pain. Any advice?
Man did u really build your body like this with only calisthenics???
I tried doing this push ups variation but I can’t keep my arm straight for some reason. It stays bent and I’m not sure what to actually do. Maybe my arms are not wide enough or something.
Hi do you have any tips for these types of workouts for beginners? I play basketball a lot and I cant raise my arms up to shoot if i do a lot of pushups a few days before a game because i have a weak chest. Will I see any improvements if I tone down the reps or do I have to go all out?
ive been looking for this forever!! it definitely helps.thankyou so much
Daamn, as long as i saw your channel i subbed right away.. We are in the same niche, you’ll be a great motivation and i think you will inspire me to make more videos like yours! Keep it up mate!
Excellent set of weights!>>> ur2.pl/1182 I start with these for motivation, then I get on my BOWFLEX M3 MAX TRAINER! I can do cardio and strength in the same workout! I do a set of reps for three different muscles, then after I do a set for each of those muscles, I FEEL ENERGIZED TO HOP ON MY ELLIPTICAL (the M3) FOR 20 MINUTES, then I get off and do 2 more sets for those three different muscle groups, and I’m done!! Excellent equipment, just gotta keep doing it at least 5 times a week!
I would like to know the height and weight of the model. Great workouts, cool gym, if I live in oc it’ll definitely be my training ground.
I was just searching for a vid to check if my form is good and after watching this I guess it is
Great video for beginners though!:)
Just did my first set of Archers using your progressions. So satisfying. Thanks for your excellent explanations in your progressions.
This video was 4 years ago i think is time for a part 2 with new variations
Insane yet beautiful.. I am trying this.. Best video ever… Thank u
When you do pushups on a raised platform doesnt that work the lower chest and is actually a decline pushup?
Very clear, detail and simple guideline. Thanks for sharing
Great videos! What are the progressions for these push-up variations?
Perhaps, this is the best channel in fitness segment.
I can do only basic pushup. The variations in video are too tough for me to do.
could someone please explain what is wrong with the shown pushups technique? or even better link to perfect pushup grip technique, thank you in advance
What’s up my man great videos, do you recommend anything for explosive exercises for triceps?
OOH so that last one is typewritter..got it I was doing that xD
I do regular pushups
typewritter pushups
wide pushups
elevated legs normal pushups
pike pushups..
MAN, it REALLY does make working my body more fun and enjoying when there are different pushup variations, unlike just the same variation over and over again..
Today I got them. The paralettes look great and seem to last for a long time. It’s really premium quality. The training it’s much more effective now. This is my second item bought from Pull up dip company and I am very pleased with their products.
anyone else nearly break there face doing that last exercise
Hi Ryan, Thanks for this awesome tut, man. It’s really simple and I can’t wait to be knocking out my first sets of Archers with a few typewriters thrown in…
Sir I want to unlock the push-ups
Like standard, diamond and wide push ups….
Can I do their negatives and unlock these movements?? Please reply Sir
Big fan.
Should i do 4 Sets of regular push ups before i do These or are These enough
U should checkout Athlean-X. He has wicked tips. Not to say yours aint good but it might help for future videos
This is the second video I watched of yours and I just subscribed! You take the time to describe in detail without over doing it so we can fully understand. Most of the bigger channels just kind of rush threw it. I’m brand new to calisthenics and appreciate the little extra explanation (steps). Anyways keep it up man I’ll be back for more lessons.

WRONG PUSH UPS!!!!!!..u are not allowed in calithenics anymore cuz teaching people with the wrong position
Excellent video! Does taking a pronated (horizontal) grip change the push-up exercise or is it merely personal comfort / preference? Thanks.
I always do pushups like 09:55 but I noticed most of the people do them with arms closer to the body.
Enjoy watching the exercises and if you have any ideas for more exercises let us know in the comments:)
Good morning Cori. Hope all is well. May I ask….the last set with the straps, are they the same as trx or more functional? What are they called?
What if i already can do 4 of them bcz im skinny but have some muscles?
already i done with that step push up..I’m doing it everyday
No formed balls and penis. Why? Every man has it. I have one and its formed when I wear a tight jeans.
Why do everytime i do archer push ups the hand that comes down shrugs.. like you shrug your shoulder but horizontally..
