Without asking for money
Thank you,,,
Such a great u tube. He justifies n explains step by step n how to do it the right way. AMAZING. Thanks.
This is the best ever explanation I got for Padmasana, kindly provide insights on doing shirshasana and sarvangasa
Very cool Lexi.:)All of your videos are truly inspiring and informationnal too.:)Thank you very much!!-Jerome
Lotus position is something totaly different on a special website
I realize now why my lotus has improved, I have been working that very circular motion in the hips for no reason really except that I enjoy the sensation.
No overly long explanation, no pretentious camera tricks or graphics. Perfect video!
I have big feet and can’t rest my hands on my knees without touching the toes
Thanks great video we should all avoid ankle supination in padmasana! I think about 90% of the images online of padmasana are dangerously incorrect. Take care of your knees yogis
Great explanation. Tuff for me with a partial torn meniscus. As of now, I can’t keep my knee flexed, let alone the tight hips. I will keep trying. Thanks for the vid and info.
Do you get cracking sounds (tuduk tuduk sound) when doing this. Does the sound go away with practice?
At the left knee l’ have pain inside medial..and hip for reflex stay lightly taller than other hip.
Hi…i wanna learn padmasana…can i have your contact number
Thank you guys! I’m so glad i watched this video before hurting my knees… I thought that the pain in the knees is normal, so i just need to calm and endure that, you know…:D
Is it not possible to develop the mobility required and be able to do it?
I am glad that the ancient wisdom of INDIA (yoga and meditation) is being adapted all over the world now..
This is a great illustration. Now I got to work on opening up my hip.
Hella good demo. I was able to do this for first time ever. Did it from the back.
In the past I’ve torn my miniscus my knee and more recently I’ve really hurt my hip flexor!
Extremely insightful pointers, which all my Yoga instructors over 25 years never told me! I consequently hurt my knee joint flexing too much there, as Tim mentioned, rather than exploiting rotation at the hip joint. He has also given some easy and useful starter exercises for the hip rotation, lying on the back.
A guru worth following. Guruve Namaha!
Amazing video! I’m learning to listen my body. I’m already ready for half lotus. What is awesome for me. I need to increase my stretching on my hips to do the full lotus pose.;)
It’s not my knee the problem it’s my hips. When i put my knees toward the ground it starts to hurt my hips.
I don’t care about yoga, it’s just sometimes useful to be able to sit without a chair.
Why haven’t you given a heart to comment made by ‘bj’… ‘I’m glad the ancient wisdom of India (yoga and meditation) is being adapted all over the world’
But u have to everyone else???
I sweat a ton just to practice very basic 101 simple motion awkwardly. Yes, I’m stiff as hell.
Hello, I’m working on a commercial with STALKR.com and I think this video could be a great fit! Please reach out to me at niko(at) stalkr.com and we can discuss further. Thanks!
Nice tips. There are so chilled out that listening to them with that background is meditation in itself… Although I’m not sure it’s a good idea to tell people they won’t be able to do something, as opposed to letting them find out (e.g. some people proved the medical establishment wrong after being told they’ll never walk again).
Thanks guys! most helpful lotus video I’ve found! great visual, explanation and practice exercise!
I have a very hard time sitting just cross legged while meditating by the end I’m trying to ignore my hips knees and back. -_
Practice makes perfect!
You are a beginner too! If you are able to do some asana, thath dosent mean you are a yogi! This occidental yoga is Made by asana and pranayama… of low quality! Were is the other 5 anga? Were is your Bhakti? And first of all… were is your yama and nyama? You are just a tamasic from kali yuga
May I ask a stupid
question? What is the point or benefits of sitting in a lotus position? It looks very challenging for the hips and knees.
I can lift myself with my arms but the leg part is a one way trip to hip pain
No wonder my knees stay like 30 degrees up when I pull my feet in. O well
Hi, I really understood by the way u explained it. Any hip releasing and opening exercises video you recomend???
Thanks /\
Thank you so much for the very clear demonstration..
This is really my difficulty’..not knowing how to do this properly.
In that circular hip motion at 2:50, my hip pops when I bring my knee down… it isn’t particularly painful, how would you fix this?
Thank you… and that rotation in the hip was usually performed too fast for most of us. And also some of us have a deeper hip joints. Slow down mister. Thank you ✌️
The best explanation I’ve ever seen on this posture. From France. Thanks a lot.
Amazing explanation been struggling to figure out lotus pose since months… turns out i need work on the core issues before diving in to the main pose
Amazing! No one has explained the lotus pose to me so well! Thank you
At last! Someone able to adequately explain this. So grateful, thank you so much
i dont understand the dislikes, this is one of the few chanels, that show at all how to sit correct, plus you get a awesome view!
That was helpful, cheers from Australia.
Working on my yoga while stuck at home
why haven’t you given a heart to comment made by bj ‘ I am glad that the ancient wisdom of INDIA (yoga and meditation) is being adapted all over the world now..’? You have to everybody else.
Good explanation and easy to understand. Many yoga teachers do not share such potential injury if we do not understand how it works..
Great video yogi!!! What kind of microphone are you using? I love the quality of this video!
Thanks a lot! This is the first time I was able to sit in full lotus! some ankle pain but the rotation tip allowed me to place the feet correctly. I guess I should now just get use to it! Great tutorial!
Do you stillrecommend doing the begginer circular movements, if the hips maike some noise while doing them?
Feeling proud of being Indian that indian yoga is liked and accepted by all the world. But unfortunately we Indians do not value our own culture……
Why is my knee raised so high off the floor unlike yours tho:/
That was the BEST explanation and demonstration for how to get into lotus. I damaged my left knee many years ago when a yoga instructor forced me into lotus when I wasn’t ready.
I was forcing the 2nd leg over for the 2 weeks now when I do it it hurts so much, my knees, my ankles, Also noticed my knees hurt when I walk and stand up, I fucked it up!!! Is it going to get better if I stop practicing? Should I give it up? I still want to practice.
when I get into the lotus position my ankles start to hurt. is that normal??
Excellent video and explanation. I’m at the very start of my yoga practice and this seems a way off for me, but daily perseverance and clips such of this will get me there with time and patience
I am one such person who damaged my knees with this. They’ve been damaged for a few months now. Is there a way to heal them?
Finally someone explain it so easily that not every 1 can do it. Many thanks ❤️
lol, 7th grader in middle school and i can do the lotus sit xD
Thanks, So it’s a no no for me. His legs are like so loose. And by the way these guys are in GOA India.
Very well explained glad I continued to watch after your joke at the start…. Subscribed.
I’m from India which claims (rightly) proprietary rights to Yoga.?However, I’ve yet to see one Indian yoga teacher who explains this so well. Great job. I’Ve observed it elsewhere too. Indians simply confuse a simple issue, while Western people clarify.
I just did day one of yoga I had to prop myself against a wall to get in lotus
So what to do for people who Already hurt their knee?..by trying false way to sit in lotus?
Hi Joey Is there any remedy to decease/remove pain while sitting is shukasan..i cannot even sit for more than 20mins and legs start paining.Sitting in padmasan is dream for me..the above vidoe is of great help and but the main issue remains getting pin/needles i.e numbness while sitting crossed legged and final goal is to sit longer i.e more than 1hr without pain…is it possible?
