Great tutorial because I hate this pose! LOL so if you can only get to the very beginning of that posture where are you are still pretty much on all fours do you just stay like that and keep trying to push into it? How long do you think it will take to get flat and what is it exactly that makes it so hard? Also, I find it easier to put the toes together then have them apart – do you know what that means muscle wise?

This position always makes me fart in class. I was asked to plank instead. Apparently, planking tightens the anus up and it is virtually impossible to release gas.

This is something we do in cheer but to us it’s a stretch instead of a pose but we call it the awkward stretch I actually really enjoy it because I love a deep stretch but all my teammates hated it. I can get flat down like you so that may be why I like it…

What is the difference between this and the butterfly stretch? do they stretch different muscles?
as we all know yoga is less practice in india because people are not aware of benefits of yoga but you are doing a great work for explanning and aware the people for the good benefits

This is actually my FAVORITE pose! Nothing targets the hips so directly, and once you are able to fully let go in the pose it feels amazing. Now, if only I felt this comfortable in seated forward fold…
@bananablondie108 I’ve been having a pain on the inside of my grown like my inner hip, my hips pop sometimes but these the outer hip, this one won’t go away and I feel like it’s preventing me from progressing….any suggestions?
Ok… when you say “your feet need to be in alignment with you knees”, do I need to make sure my ankles don’t roll to far inward??
