Other than a yoga mat, you don’t need any specific equipment to perform compass pose. Sit in a comfortable, cross-legged position. Breathe in and bend your right knee, hugging it into your chest. You may leave your left leg bent or straighten it in front of you.
Summary of Compass Pose. Compass Pose, or Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana, is a challenging pose which is known for its ability to open the hips. Before attempting Compass Pose it’s a good idea to work on the simpler forms of it to build up the strength and flexibility necessary.

Never commented on YouTube before, but I’ve been doing your guide to splits and LOVE it. This new tutorial is something I am going to try out very soon. Questions I have are:
When you say a hold this position for a few breaths how many breaths is that?
Should we be following along with you in this guide? Or Should we pause and hold positions for as long as we feel would be right? Or should every position be held for like 5 breaths?
Also how often should we do this tutorial Everyday, 2x/week, 3x/week, etc.
Would also love a shoulder opener routine to help with my climbing.

I really loved this class overall. ButI would have like more instructions or modifications in the splits. As in maybe where/ placing/ placement with blocks. While in the pose.
I am mid way into my splits but didn’t know so I had to stay up in the high split. Thanks!

Hi mam I m from India… m such an admirer of urs… there are so many poses I could do only with ur techniques… wanna try this too.. n m practicing handstand with the trick u have shown… u are actually the one I wanna b like… loads of love..
just like you did, I am right now practicing the hips rotation while almost completing the middle splits because without it I cant do this but Im trying and pushing thru even to get to the compass one day
