Crunch bars are tasteless,the quest bars are made of play dough,spelling is off, the protein powder is good. The cliff bars are are not the healthiest but, they taste amazing, love all of them.thankyou for putting so much into this video!

I was dumb-founded & even took notes. Glad I found ur channel, have liked & subscribed. I will go back to Amazon to find & order ur suggestion. THANX SO MUCH!!!! Fiber is not always a good thing. Sometimes they add artificial fiber in protein bars, cereal etc that is not as good as natural fiber from grains or fruit. You always have to check the ingredients list for the source of fiber if a high fiber content is important to you.

Thank you for this video, Alyssia!Through this video, I was able to find Garden of Life Performance Bars that are good fuel for me. Perfect Fat to Protein to Carb ratio that satiates me. I use these bars + a piece of fruit + water as a quick meal when I am on the go. This has been absolutly vital for me in my busy life -having a quick Celiac-Safe/DF/SoyFree/EggFree meal replacement that will keep me going. My favourite one is NuGo Slim, it has 160 calories, 17g of protein and 2-3g of each sugar and fat. Sweetened with natural chicory root it’s the most calorie-efficient protein bar I found.
I like how she says fruits and vegetables together, as if most fruits are healthy, yet says to stay away from sugar… She did not explain anything in a very insightful way, just repeated the same thing different ways. Obviously people arent relying on protein bars and shakes for food. she also doesn’t mention fat aside from it being added in bars… noone adds fat to bars, and noone adds unhealthy fats to shakes

When you talked about quest bars. Isn’t soluble corn fiber just fiber from corn… your probably talking about IMO which was in there old recipe.

Thanks for the research, very informative. I think that the quality of protein is just as important as the quantity. Most protein bars contain soy protein isolate, which is a heavily processed and very unhealthy form of soy. Hexane, a gasoline byproduct, is used to soak the soybeans, stripping out the beneficial nutrients and fiber. Consuming it has been linked to neurotoxins that damage brain tissue.

the power crunch bar is low on carbs, high on proteins and fat which is good because your body will use the fat for energy instead of carbs.
I’m vegan, I can tell you it’s hard to find very high protein bars. I use vegan protein powder to supplement or I eat the goMacro bars
Can protein bars help a person gain weight? I have always been underweight due to a high metabolism and a disability. I really want to find a way to safely gain weight because I can’t gain pounds with just eating regular weight gain foods. I’ve tried everything and if protein bars can help me it would be very convenient and easier than what I’ve tried in the past. Thanks! ❤️

Sorry but I read the ingredients in a gomacro bar and it had over 13 Ingredients and that not bad but 26% sugar or 27 gram of sugar sorry but I’ll stick with rxbar at least it simple ingredients
Thomas DeLauer does a better rating of protein bars on his channel, from inside Costco. He’s more knowledgeable. He rated the RX bars as one of the better ones. What I’ve learned is you can’t do better than the nutritional advice from bodybuilders themselves.

the gomacro bars are my favorite protein bars and i was so afraid you were gonna say they were bad for you.
I would eat three cliff bars a day until finding out they are mostly sugar!! So funny that you mentioned post postpartum as I’m currently feeding my 1 mo and eating a perfect bar. trying to loose weight and still eat for two is a challenge when you want to make sure your baby is getting the nutrition they need while also trying to regain that confidence you lost from gaining 50 pounds. Also, being expected to eat all the time like in pregnancy is unrealistic, protein bars or smoothies seem to be the answers. GoMacro bars will definitely be on next shopping list!

Hello, I am wondering if I could interview you. I’m creating an energy bar company and I would be honored if I could pick your brain about Nutrition in energy bars.
I had a Quest Smores protein bar sitting in my car on a hot day. When I came back from my work out, the bar was nice and soft and the chocolate was all melted. It tasted much better that way.
Forgot to mention that Perfect Bars have four certifications on the package!:)
I did some research on your favorite bar and its first main ingredient is brown rice Syrup which is worse than normal sugar, higher in calories and gives you more of a appetite to eat more

I’ve tried Quest bars and sadly I’ve trashed every flavor I’ve tried, I really was hoping I would like them. I like RX Bars best although it does have dates ie sugar but I only eat a third of the bar at a time, maybe not even that much. Thank you for your input

I’m surprised you didn’t cover the Nature Valley protein bars. I have those when I’m in a pinch and as more of a treat than a protein supplement, but I generally go for the Think bars when I can find them. I’ve never tried Quest, but I guess I’ll have to buy a few the next time I’m at the store. I love Think but the lack of fiber was always a bit disappointing. Thank you!
My co workers couldnt figure out why i always complained about the “healthy” options at our store. All the protein bars we had were bad. I would just go to walmart and stock up on quest bars to bring with me as my snack.

I have trouble getting in enough carbs, so I rock clif bars usually. I get enough protein from my shakes and meats. Quest bars max my fiber intake way too quickly, so I stay away from them.
Brilliant video with great explanation! Certifications are amazing, but make sure the certifications have ethical standards! Gluten, artificial sweeteners, indigestible pesticides have a at one point been certified as fine.
