Great hiking video. Sorry about the ice, but at least you were surrounded with some beautiful nature. See you in the next one.
Great vlog, amazing nature, like! I am from Greece. Maybe you like to check my channel too:)
that’s some cool places to hike into! i wish i could there right now!
Wow those views were amazing, cant wait to see more in the next episode!
I touched and talked to a tree yesterday. Then I could feel this 150 year old tree stretch me up towards the sky
Oh no, Blaze! Hope he heals well! Great views, as usual. Looked like a steep fire road back up. Glad for the waterfalls at least.
Scantic River West in Enfield isn’t too bad, drove 45 minutes just to try it. Other than that, cool list.
Hi guys, just come across your channel. You certainly have some stunning scenery to hike through…..maybe we’ll have the opportunity to head over to the states to trekk ourselves one day!! Thanks for sharing. Subscribed and happily ‘catching up’ with the channel! ;-). Looking forward to following you on your walking adventures!
That’s a beautiful trail! There’s something so awesome about hiking along a river and getting to see some waterfalls!
Nice summary guys! You make Connecticut look pretty good!
Got my hiking boots on looking for the baddest like Bigfoot lol
WOW another stunning walk. Love the waterfalls, and Blaze’s super warm coat! Adventure on! Awesome, thanks for sharing Sarah & Andrew:)
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out on my van, get 99% of the way there, and then have to decide that my van is an off-road vehicle. Very nice place. Really impressed at how frequently you guys get out!
That first overlook was nice man. Thanks for sharing. Through your channel I have gotten to see some really nice places in Connecticut.
Very professional looking video to be honest and if I ever make it over to Connecticut, I would happily do any/all of these hikes, they all looked great! Cheers Alan
Those all look like great places! I’ve only been to 3 Connecticut State Parks, Eagles Landing SP which is just a big boat launch from what I could tell, Gillette Castle SP had some surprisingly nice trails and Rocky Neck SP right on the coast.
Beautiful trail! Too bad it was too icy, but good decision, especially when making for it for someone who can’t make that call:) Thanks for the trip!
This trail looks perfect! That waterfall is beautiful! Perfect day for you guys to get out!
I grew up in Ct. East Haven. Left home when I was just 17 to come to California. Wanted to be a rock star. All I got was more lost! Praise God I got saved when I was 41. I was a half click over the line and nearly went to Hell. I miss the East Coast. But I am stuck in CA now. Hope to get back there soon. Thanks for the video.
Nice guys….you 2 are getting closer to my old stomping grounds
GORGEOUS!!!! WOAH! That ice is crazy! Good call!
So pretty, guys! Thanks for sharing!!!!
You made the right call on not going over that ice, especially with your dog, shame mid because that looked should a good hike up till that point. Great scenery as always and a great watch, cheers Alan
This was another awesome State Park. Beautiful creek and little waterfalls it had. I’m glad you guys turned around and didn’t walk over the ice especially with the dog. It sucks to have to turn around and I’ve had to do it before but it’s all about safety 1st. Great video guys and looking forward to the 2nd part. Shane I don’t know you’ve ever heard of it but tomorrow I’m leaving to go to Chiricahua National Monument in Arizona. It’s a pretty good size park with cool rock pinnacles.
When I lived in CT, I used to hike in the Devil’s Den Preserve in Weston, Ct. It has been at least 30 years, but I would recommend it.
Been living in Arizona for a long time and I definitely miss those deciduous trees. I still can get snow in the Catalinas and in the Santa Ritas in the winter here.
Kent Falls is beautiful and the AT in the northwestern part of the state was always my go to as a kid and young adult.
Great video, I liked the shore point trail, that looked unique. When I visit the CT in the future, I will have to try that one.
the name is funny. I thought you said saugatuck! and I was like NO WAY! how could they visit saugatuck state park and not tell us lol…. great hike. and I always expect to go off roading hehe…..6 inches is snowed in for you guys? thanks for sharing:) cheers!
You guys do some great trips Shane. I really enjoy your vids. Do you guys ever go far out of state? Or do you stay close to home for weekend trips???
Wow What a Great Video!!! I found you through Yankees Meet and Greet! Glad I did.
I am just about to post a video on hiking in Naugatuck State forest and decided to see if anyone else has….I think you are it:). While I have been all over other sections of the forest, I have never hiked the section you did. I’ll have to check it out.
Great video! Those are some great looking trails! Like I mentioned before, I have been to Kent Falls, and it was just as awesome as you said!
I lived in Boston for 8 years, and never thought about going hiking to CT. Now that I see this I would change my mind.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh no! Poor Blaze, we hope he heals up fast. That overlook looks so awesome, such a great place to have a snack and enjoy the view while soaking up the sun!

These look great! We hope to make it up to the New England area later this summer. We’ve only been to Mystic Seaport and some scenic train ride around there when we went up to Connecticut for a wedding once. It was beautiful though. Kent Falls looks really nice!
Gorgeous shots! Oh to be young again and able to hike like that! Another great video!
Awesome video! Thanks for the trail recommendations. We’re in California, but certainly would love to get out to some great hikes out there. Always great to have quality examples, excited to catch up on your channel!

Bad news about Blaze, hope he is OK and back out with you both ASAP.. What a great day to go out for a hike and in great surroundings as well. Vanilla shortbread sounds nice and what a great place to sit and eat it. Cheers Alan
Thank you for putting up these videos and showing people how to get saved. I just got saved a couple weeks ago thanks to your soul-winning demonstration. Now I’m listening to lectures from here and DTBM OnlineVideoTraining to and from work each week and catching up on what I left behind in high school.

Hey Shane, just gave you a “shout-out” in my recent upload. Thanks for the support and encouragement!
Great hiking vid going for those is relaxing and it’s a great way to escape from all the craziness that’s going on.
We would have some crucial conversations that many would never comprehend
I get you on the interaction with other people. People confide in me at work about their problems and it can be exhausting. I’m just at a point where I like being a real person and try not be too serious about life. It’s about enjoying your surroundings and being around good people. I also understand the feeling you get when people are so low vibe. We all have a choice. If you’re feeling miserable, find something that will make you have joy in life because happiness is so fleeting. Making me want to go for a walk in the forest this weekend. As a kid I was from Connecticut but that was back in the early 90s.
Smoking it’s a beautiful thing it left your spirits high enjoy the walking my friend jah love
You are always trying to beat some sort of weather! Love all the little waterfalls! You are right, such a beautiful spot! Too bad that ice ruined your ability to go further! You know who put that there? Aliens.:)
Your poor dog seems to hurt himself quite a bit! lol. Hope he feels better soon. The trail was really beautiful! Love the view of the lakes from the top, and then the fire road following the water all the way up.

Great places my friend… I need to start making some trips to the USA to shoot some videos:) thanks for sharing!
You did a really good job on this. Very well spoken with great scenery shots included. I did a video like this once on the top 8 attractions in Virginia City. After I was done with it I didn’t enjoy it as much as doing a normal video. So I don’t think I will do another one. How did you feel about doing a video like this? It’s a little different. But like I said yours turned out really well.:-)
Haha what a funny name for a park/forest. Great trail by the looks of it and what a great view. Im sure that place would be stunning when the leaves were changing in the autumn. Just stumbled upon your channel and have a new sub from me. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful day. Cheers!
What a absolutely beautiful State! Good to know the must see places to hike…you never know!!
