With strength training, one of the most important changes you can make to get out of a rut is to make these F.I.T.T. changes with one thing in mind: Overload. That means if you keep doing the same exercises with the same weights for the same number of reps, you need a change. Instead, try switching things up, as these workouts are designed to do.Try throwing in some “beyond failure” techniques like forced reps, drop sets, partials or rest-pause into your workouts.
Instead of always doing straight sets, wreak some havoc on your body with supersets, tri-sets, or even giant sets. You can even try.For most of us, this includes three or four runs, one or two cross-training days, and a rest day. Blend in a variety of workouts, including high-intensity intervals, fartlek runs, hills, tempo.Strength gains are all about strategy and sometimes it’s up to you to determine what your next strategy should be.
You know your body better than anyone. If you aren’t taking notes, then you aren’t going to grow. Pay attention to your training and learn how your body responds, when it stops responding, and when it tells you to chill out.If you always work out on a flat surface, it’s time to mix things up!
On the treadmill? Add an incline. Doing squats?

The sad irony to watching this video is, you’re right, the rut WE are in is TEMPORARY, but, people on the street or stuck in undeveloped countries that CAN’T see THIS video are probably stuck in a rut for MUCH longer than us just due to us having more than them. Ok I’m using this as my motivation moment, I’ll report back in a week:-)
Getting fresh haircut, clean shave and cold showers work wonders for me.
This happens a lot to me, I was super productive for a week then suddenly I was to lazy to even take a shower To avoid this from happening, I now took bullet journaling, just a very simple one, a to do list and events. I would write down everything I need to do for the week while also considering my limit. For example, if this week I need to sew 40 tote bags and I have 2 client meetings, I would limit myself to make 8 tote bags everyday for 5 days, on the days that I have a meeting I’m not going to sew the bags and will focus on the meeting instead (making points, evaluating the meeting results, listing what I need to do for the client, etc). This works best for me because on any day that I have to get out of the house I won’t want to do anything else. I usually get too tired or too lazy. Also, it’s important to push yourself to sleep at least 6 hours and wake up no later than 8am, dress up as if you have to get out of the house even though you don’t (this will also help if you suddenly have to leave, saves time and you won’t be too lazy to get ready).
In other words you weren’t actually working for a living and can afford to think of all this shit. When you work 12 hour swing shifts plus mandatory overtime coming out to 70 to 80 hours a week, in a 100 degree factory that maintains 80% + humidity, you only have time to take shower then pass out and start over. Welcome to an average American work life.

I’m having a hard time right now-it’s summer vacation and I’m afraid of ending up achieving nothing that’s worth mentioning. There are some things I wanna achieve but I’m in my own way due to lack of energy and wrong habits. I have even kept a calender to keep track of new habits I wanted to stick with-but the corona crises got me too absorbed to stick with it. Now I can start all over again and it’s frustrating me quite a bit.
My girlfriend keeps telling me to stop putting myself under pressure-but I see no other way to get anything done at all!

I just started something like this
For those who have trouble to exercise, and have not exercised regularly for some time, just start with the simplest task
Believe me, just starting with 5 forward and 5 backward arm rotations, first thing in the morning, or at whatever timing suits you, and committing to do that every day works wonders.
For some of us, we are not as fit as we were years ago. It’s as if you’ve got muscle atrophy, ie what I call negative strength aka level minus 5.
The problem for some will be progressing too much too fast, and your body being unable to keep up.
Keep it simple, until it becomes easy, then progress.
For those with focus problems, do a little social media, youtube / netflix, and mobile phone detox.
Let’s go!!

The 2 min rule::: even if you don’t feel like doing something (eg. exercise), do it for 2 minutes. It will create momentum.
7-9 hours of sleep is necessary. Don’t play with your sleep. Otherwise it will play with you.
After a period of rut, you don’t want to load your brain with huge tasks. Your brain is like the injured muscle of an athlete that needs time to recover.
Everybody goes through ruts that may run a few days to few weeks.
If your rut is prolonged, please see a doctor.

Nah..You don’t actually need “inspiration” which is some sort of abstract God given idea “to do something”.
The thing you really need is a goal. Without a goal there’s no motivation. To say “to suddenly invent a goal IS inspiration” is to say “I have ‘a deep inspiration to lay on my bed for the rest of my life”. That’s because when you lay on your bed instead of getting at the gym you have a goal to avoid the negative physical feeling caused by the exercise.
The goal can be unconscious which by the way means that ONE-DOESN’TKNOW-IT or it may be conscious.
Also one may have long term goals and short term goals.
Those goals may be and often are “in conflict with each other”. One may think “I have a goal to get in good physical shape”, and yet he may have a short term goal to satisfy he’s or her sugar cravings.
Those conflicting internal thoughts causes intense, intolerable negative feeling..which has a sexy name..cognitive dissonance..and THAT you are “motivated to avoid”..which happens technically by thought suppression and when THAT comes a habit namely really fast, automatic, unconscious reppression..then you are in deep shit and no amount of inspiration inspires you to actually THINK WHAT YOU THINK..which by the way has a sexy technical name “meta-cognition”.
Please think what you THINK and write IT..your goals up to make sense of your thoughts.
I think that actually one’s thinking “feels pretty logical” when he is able to think about hes thinking the seven plus minus two items as the working memory model suggests..dont be stupid to think yoù are able to think about all of your thoughts and memories..I mean SCRIPTS and beliefs,goals and desires, hopes and wishes at one stand. There’s lots of conflicts insthe human mind..(if it helps to give physical or three dimensional location for the mind).
Its not inspiration you “need”. You are not not-inpired to do shit because of the lack of inspiration. You just had sudden and euphoric God give inspiration to get as little inspiration as possible.

As of a almost a year ago around June of 2019 I woke up in the morning and I just didn’t feel like it I called in college sick and went back to sleep then next day I had to drag myself out of bed as of recently it’s been getting worse I can’t focus on my work I’ve dropped all my hobby’s because I lost interest and I stopped going out and going for a run I couldn’t bring myself to do much and then I’d pressure myself on the day before of when things were due to get it done and I’d still feel like I haven’t done enough I dropped out of a contest I’d been working on for months because I felt nothing I did was good enough I spoke to my mum but we don’t have a good relationship she told me to just deal with it even laughed at me I’m still stuck in that rut now but I feel like this video will help me get out of it so thank you ❤️
