I HAVE 20 SPOTS LEFT IN MY ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP BEFORE THE PRICE GOES UP! DON’T TRY TO LOSE WEIGHT ON YOUR OWN, GET THE GUIDANCE, SUPPORT AND ACCOUNTABILITY YOU NEED TO SUCCEED http://WWW.BRIXFITNESSINSIDERS.COM
Ok, this isn’t intimidating. Some videos for strength training are just over the top. I’d rather start slow and build the proper form and develop consistency than start all hard core with improper form and then eff up my back or blow out a knee. I love the progressions, good advice!
Most important thing to remember, is to STOP shoveling mass quantities of shit-food into your face hole! You can have some salad, but if you toss 3 cups of 1000 island dressing on it, it no longer constitutes as “diet food.”
I would have liked to see more examples of exercises in “cheat mode” like the elevated push ups.
I hit 277 after a year of not being able to work. This is going to give me motivation to get healthy again
6ft tall 270 starting today wish me luck guys
Will be back for update!
Peace ☮️ Blessings and Love ❤️!
Hey fam just wanted to say thanks for putting this video out! My name is Arthur Carrell and I’m just starting my weight loss journey, seeing this guide you put out has given me some great tips and advice. I currently weigh 300LBS and im trying to drop a 100LBS in then next year. I subscribed to your. Channel hope to see more helpful guides and tips from you fam! Thank you again! God bless
I belong to Nainital. Before Corona Lockdown, I had lost 20 kgs and achieved 88kgs by just walking 6kms a day (no dieting). During lockdown i have gained 7kgs in just 21 days despite a vegetarian diet (i can eat meat but avoiding it) I live in a Himalayan toen called Nainital and it involves 1.1 km of downhill and 1.1 km of an uphill walk.
I haven done pushups or pull ups for over 20 years because my hand injury had made me lazy and my trainers (yes i could afford a trainer 7 years back, i lost weight but then gained again in Delhi in a sad job) were afraid to risk it even when my doctor said it is ok.
Now, in a lockdown, i want to start pushups and pullups again. I have a strong lower back and thighs, my upper body is neglected. I do intermittent fasting but my goal is to become capable of doing exercises again. I am doing Yoga and it is helping but What do i do to be able to do pushups and pull ups asap?
I’m 260 and I’ve been doing a ton of burpees. High volume basic calisthenics is the best starting option.
started 300lbs June 19th, ate 1700 calories/day, workout 5 days/week, lost about 13lbs in the first month. Let’s goo bois
ok so i’m like 6’2 and about 190 and i’m definitely not skinny but i’m not necessarily fat or overweight either so what do i do in my situation like do i do this one or the other one
I like how these videos are clear and straight to the point.
Brix Fitness, I think you made a really good video on how start out the training. But I wonder what your views are on how important the mindset is and how to prepare or build a somewhat good enough mindset to atleast start executing the first steps after a long brake?
I’ve been on and off the gym and I can see a pattern of high levels of stress that is connected to whatever that is going on in my life that kind of criples the mindset needed for my training somehow. I am very curious if you have any tips and tricks for keeping the mindset to always keep training regardless of what your situation is? Hope it makes sense
Why I am asking is because I heard you talk about morning mediitation in your other videos which means you take care/protect your mindset
Once again thanks for the great video!
Anyone here making progress in losing weight after watching all this easy training video?????

I have been dealing with this source for 3 years and never had any problems with my package. I did my first cycle from this source and that’s how I got my body transformation he even provides good diet and workout plans.
Guys, build muscle does not need to be difficult (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Search a diet plan known as Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that diet plan has changed my entire life. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I don’t want a bunch of other guys out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.
When it comes to eating healthy, you must try not to fall victim to modern fad diet plans. Extreme diets are a threat for your health, especially ones that seriously restrict your daily nutritionary intake. While they might induce quick weight loss, these kinds of diets will never be a long-term answer for your weight problem. It is best to look up Custokebon Secrets on google since it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.
To heavy or to weak for calisthenics? https://youtu.be/1KCOVkjgDT0

I am very pleased to share the news, I lost more than 35 pounds as I did see here @Emilie Kesinger
Had a heart attack 3 months ago at age of 37, big wake up call, this has given me so much inspiration and has been an immense help with my rehab. Guys like you inspire, thank you.
I’m 33 and tired of my weight. I’m 6’1″ ft /186 cm and I now weight the heaviest in my life 308.6 pounds / 140 kgs. (BMI says I am meant to be 85 kgs!) Enough is enough I decided. I am currently typing out an excel spreadsheet of these exercises and a few others to keep track of sets and reps. Set my new sleep pattern, on keto and doing intermittent fasting, tomorrow is the day I start making health and fitness a big part of my life, wish me luck all!
Another idiot that losers weight and thinks he k ows wtf hes talking about, there is no beginner, intermediate or advanced,

See? This is a helpful video. The rest of the videos ive seen don’t give a real in depth look and explanation. This is
When i started calesthenis i eas over weight and i have some sujestions. Start basic and dont try to have supper high spectations like u watch an athlete and u want to be at their level. If u cant do pullups just hang. Do some knee lifts and do soe pushups and some situps. Dont make it complicated just do “some reps” and dont stress out. Walk for an hour. And replace some meals with soups and cut sugars nd bread and rice. Forget it exist. Drink green tea. Dont dreank protein shakes.
Lovely trainer, very encouraging but not patronising! But the other guy! What a champ! I hope he’s reaching his goals, he has such a lovely attitude
Sorry sir but unless there is an over weight person next to you training, not credible.
I see a lot of people keep on speaking about Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google). But I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you ever tried using this popular diet plan program?
When considering eating healthy, you have to try not to fall victim to modern fad diets. Extreme diet plans undoubtedly are a threat for your health, especially ones that seriously restrict your everyday nutritionary intake. Many of these fad diets work for a short period of time and then the benefits decrease after a while. It is best to search Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine since it is not just another fad diet where you starve yourself.

As a fat former powerlifter who is now looking to lose weight and get healthy, I’m very glad I found your video man. Super simple and very well explained, just subscribed to your channel and I look forward to mastering these exercises:)
Hey bro, can you suggest exercise that are same as bent over row?
Hi, I just stsrted following you as well as fitnessfaq’ s.com.
I’m 50 now, haven’t exercised in roughly 30 years, though I do have a physically active job. So, I’m 1m87 and about 93 kg, which is overweight. I do like your vids and as far as for advice in this one, I pretty much came to some identical conclusions, bar the exercises. Makes sense that the higher your weight, the harder the exercise will be, hence why advanced guys use extra weights for more gains. It can be demotivating for beginners though. So I figured, cardio, starting with the Cooper test, to lose weight fat mainly and get back in shape.
As for exercises, definitly yes, because activating muscles helps burning fat. However, here I would probably focus on the core, since it seems all important in the other exercises. Any advice on core strengthening exercises?
My interest in calisthenics is overal muscle build looks more natural and balanced than bodybuilding. Also, I think mobility is important, as well as flexibility.
Thanks for your work and sharing. Keep up the good work.
My Planet Fitness has everything including mutiple barbell rack, squat racks, and free-weight benches.
thank you! i’ve searched videos like yours and never found one. thank you thank you!!! from Brasil
Thank you so much! I love this and your explanation of them. I like a challenge but get overwhelmed if I can’t keep up and this I can do!!
If youre reading this, to anyone not feeling like working out: Its too early, youre kind of hungry, “Youll do it tomorrow” STOP remember your goal, youre stronger than you know. PUSH IT
Any tips for doing push-ups since I can’t do em. I’m also 13. Not sure if age helps with the tips and stuff
Last time I checked I was 106kg at 15 years of age, I play footy too.
I’ve been going to the gym for awhile but I don’t have a proper diet because we have to feed 5 people in our house so we cook what our parents or older brothers/sister buys.
What should I do because I can see changes in my arms and shoulders etc, except for my belly, I do more cardio then weights at the gym. What do I do?
It’s so difficult to lose weight with anxiety and depression and I’ve struggled my whole life with my weight. I love how kind this trainer is and it’s so helpful to see an actual obese person working out too and not a stick thin woman who’s been working out since before they were born
I’m watching this because this quarantine I gained a couple pounds
Hey man I’m 5 ft 8 inch 180 lbs do you think I would have a problem starting? I recently became a vegan with my vegan mom helping and I have lowered my daily calories a lot ( no sugar drinks, meat, fat foods, etc. ) I have no idea what my routine should be, I have enough time everyday for everything but I’m asking for your help on making a daily routine from Monday Saturday off Sunday. Please help I really want to get into this.
Am 5’11 and I am overweight and want to start calisthenics what is a good weight I should start calisthenics.
I thought being fat is having 73 kgs at 5.6 feet but woo I see people with more issues now I feel, I must start a healthy life before I turned into them. You can do it guys cause I’m going to do from tmrw morning bye.. I never commented in any of those pages but honestly, I would write up everyday until I reach my dream goal of 60 kgs by three months. Inshaallah.
Thank you so much for this video! I started my fitness journey about 2 months ago and it has been a slow, painful but also very empowering journey (I’m currently only doing yoga and walking because of my knees and poor core strength). Often times, I get overwhelmed with all the data… this was really cool! Thank you!
When I married my wife, back in 2000, I weighed about 140 pounds. My goal was to increase my weight to around 160 pounds, as my height is 5’9″. Over the course of about 10 years, my weight shot up to about 216 pounds (what can I say… my wife is an amazing cook). That’s when I decided to start losing weight. By watching food portions, I dropped down to my stable weight of about 183 pounds. I wasn’t satisfied, so I started working out. Over the course of a few months, I dropped 16 pounds, just by doing a 45-minute routine on the weights. I’ve started to increase the weights, in my workout, and my weight is continuing to slowly drop… and I’m feeling better than I had ever felt. My goal is to reach my original target weight of 160 pounds, but to do so in a manner that promotes actually toning my body (I don’t care if I look totally bulked out, I just want to look like I take care of myself). The important thing, though, is that in the process, my blood pressure has gone from averaging around 150/90 to averaging around 117/78, while my resting pulse rate has gone from around 85 bpm to around 68 bpm. Those numbers, alone, are a victory, in my book!
so basically i have to loose weight to start calisthenics.. well no shit sherlock i could not have figured it out without you… stupid fuck
Video summary: step 1, 2 and 3: lose weight and do calisthenics when you not fat anymore
Holy shit you guys came a long way to get to where you are, congrats on the weight loss and those gains
Is swimming okay for cardio? I’ve been doing it for about 2 weeks and have already seen some changes
How long did it take you to lose the weight I weigh 260 pounds & I’m 5′-8″ I just signed up with Youfit in Greenacres, FL
The thing is about my gym is it’s a apartment community gym so the whole thing is in one room and I hate working out around people that close
Thank you Brian! I saw you doing it, so I tried it myself. It was my first workout in 15 years! I feel great and will keep doing it!
I notice lots of people keep on speaking about Custokebon Secrets (look on google search engine). But I’m not sure if it’s good. Have you ever tried this popular diet plan program?
My son and I are starting are weight loss journey ❤ #NewSub
I’m 300 pounds and don’t get me wrong I’m fairly strong but there’s no way I can do any movements I would have to be the hulk to do any movements at 300 pounds
Wild concept, here. If you don’t have an answer, then don’t answer. Or do research until you can answer the question, which is “how does an overweight/larger person start doing calisthenics or bodyweight-based exercising?“
The advice offered here is literally, “stop being overweight first, then you can get started on the basics.” What a crock. There has to be a better answer on how an overweight person can safely begin body weight exercises while engaging in weight loss (or not, if that is not their goal.)
Come on, man—you can do better. I challenge you to take another shot at this after looking beyond what’s worked for you and other skinny folks. I’m going to look for a better answer in the meanwhile.
I read many great reviews on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets will help you lost tons of weight. Has any one tried using this popular weight loss method?
So simple, yet so effective. That’s how would I describe diet plan from NextLevelDiet. Now I belive that simplicity is the key to brilliance.
Minus the Bear?
No, that’s not you. I watched you retire last year.
Is Minus the Gym your side group.

If your reading this and your overweight… It may not be an eating issue.. It may be imbalances in muscle. It also may be atrophy. Atrophy happens in a sedentary lifestyle. In my experience…. Being imbolized for 8 months… First, I understand the fight inside you head… But your going to either live your dream or your fears… If your past that and ready, from a seated position… Just start getting up and walking around the house.. Then move into walking around the outside of your place. Then as your lung compacity raises.. Take one step at a time up stairs.. Later move laterally up down and around. As you move and stretch.. You will drop weight… Remember to eat and drink clean as you can. If your at the level your strong enough… Push and pull and squat your body at inclines.. Working your way down to horizontal.. Your mind and body is like a building.. The right mixture makes a solid foundation.. After this.. Your pillars of support will come to help you raise the roof. #TapN2U
I miss being in shape. I used to be 163 lbs and felt awesome. My job was so physical I stayed in shape with ease. I was a 3rd shift stocker. Always moved for 7.5 hrs per day. Mind you I’m only 5 foot 6. Now I’m 213 lbs cause I don’t have a physical job, but same eating habits. I will implement your tips and I am 100% motivated. I cut pasta, sugars, soda, bread, and starchy foods in general. I already feel less bloat. My goal is the iron cross on the rings.
Does Custokebon Secrets really help to lost a ton of fat? I’ve read a lot of good things about this popular weight loss diet plan.
Another recommendation for Pull-ups is a negative Pull up
PS i really don’t like People selling programs on YouTube. Do it offline and so it as a personal trainer or so
Moderation is perhaps the governing concept for a Christian view of bodybuilding/weightlifting. First Timothy 4:8 teaches, “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come” (emphasis added). Physical fitness is important, and as this verse states, it does have some value. We are physical and spiritual beings, and the condition of the physical body undeniably can impact the spirituality of a person. Surely part of “glorifying God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:20) is keeping it in reasonably good physical condition. Bodybuilding can definitely be a part of a Christian’s physical fitness program.
At the same time, as with many things in this life, bodybuilding, if taken to the extreme, can become an idol. Eventually, a point is reached where there is no true value in adding more muscle. Bodybuilding/weightlifting can become an addiction and/or obsession. While this is much more often an issue with men, it can be an issue for women as well. Striving for bigger and stronger muscles, taken to the extreme, is nothing but vanity (1 Samuel 16:7; Ecclesiastes 1:2; 1 Peter 3:4). Once we allow our physical appearance to become more important than our relationship with God, it has become an idol (1 John 5:21).
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). The key question is does bodybuilding/weightlifting glorify God? If it is done to increase fitness, strength, and tone, and thereby health, yes, it can be done for God’s glory. If it is done out of vanity and pride, or from an unhealthy obsession with getting bigger and stronger, no, it does not glorify God. How should a Christian view bodybuilding? “‘Everything is permissible for me’—but not everything is beneficial. “‘Everything is permissible for me’—but I will not be mastered by anything…. ‘Everything is permissible’—but not everything is constructive” (1 Corinthians 6:12; 10:23).
Gian Giorgio Trissino
Both I and J were used interchangeably by scribes to express the sound of both the vowel and the consonant. It wasn’t until 1524 when Gian Giorgio Trissino, an Italian Renaissance grammarian known as the father of the letter J, made a clear distinction between the two sounds.
Good advice, how to start calisthenics when you’re overweight/fat, do everything to not be. hahahaha LOL! You weight 330lbs, try to do pull ups… Guys don’t get down, work your shit out, if you want to do calisthenics do that, I think it won’t be that hard you weight a lot so the mass you’ll be working with is hard to handle but when you do you’ll see much more progress than skinny people, just don’t give up, do it in small steps, I was expecting from that vid to get some exercises, like half pull-ups or working your way to the summit in small easier way for fats, well looks like you have to lose your weight first, you’ll lose the fight that way and never go back to calisthenics.
What if your like in between like your not really fat but your not really thin either
I have figured out a lot through the “Kοnοnοz yyd” (Google it) and have dropped some stomach fat that I never considered I could eradicate and it also permitted me to do it the healthy way. Ever since having this guidebook I have dropped 15 pounds, and have had much more results toning up in a health club. Not just that, I have lots of energy left in my tank..
Another way for pullups is the pullup hold. Basically jump to the top of the pullup motion and hold it going down for as long as possible. Repeat as a set. Eventually when those get super easy you’ll progress to an actual pull up. From there just do 1 and try and push 1 more and keep going an going eventually you’ll be doing 10 pullups no problem
I recently gave up drugs and alcohol… I need a life change and watching this has definitely given me more confidence to start with my health and fitness. I’m starting from ground zero and watching your journey definitely took me from frightened to excited to start my own journey to a new lease on life. Truly inspirational and I’ll definitely be following your channel as I begin my journey starting tomorrow. Keep up the great work.
brother, you talk entirely too much. You youngsters are all talk. IN fact, I fast forwarded the video and you are not shown ONCE doing any calisthenics. Without providing an example, your video is worthless and I will NOT be sending people to your site who could benefit from such a bogus title. Watch MY videos if you want to see a workout. I practice what i preach ON CAMERA even for the beginners. You generation is the video generation who wants to see themselves in a video. Where is he fat person trying to do the workout like Tony Horton has in his video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gq16g4JvvM? You better take lessons from this guy who SHOWS you how to START calisthenics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB3X4TjTIes Man, you kids act like you are some expert. I have 40 years over you son. You did NOT just discover how to present calisthenics. I have never done one video without doing the workout on camera. Period. That is what a video is for. If I want to listen to someone, it would NOT be a kid like you. Work on a better presentation featuring how to start calisthenics with an obese person if this is what this video is actually for and not your fan base.
Im from Australia so here we go. Im a 40kg 13yr old male and im starting from 28/7/20. I wanna be able to play cricket for my state but im litteraly a stick insect but fat. So as mario would say, “here we go!”
So this is all talking and explaining without. Showing how to do it?
So i was 95 kg 10 months ago and decided to change. I get to the gym and get inside. What did i see?! Some big ass dudes big arms, legs and all. I imediately get out and go home. Said to myself thats it im done no more gym. But then i said why do i need gym? I dont want muscles. So the next day i started diet. I can eat whatever i want how much i want just one rule. After every bite i drink 2 sips of water. Thats it. And today im 70 kg. Maybe after some months MAYBE i will overcome my fear of gyms but for now this works for me.

Thank you for this video man. Bless you . Take care of yourself. Be Safe.

Not necessarily. Your resting metabolism isn’t the same as your daily energy expenditure. Even if you are sedentary your daily energy expenditure will probably be a few hundred calories more than your resting metabolic rate. If you have a bmr of 2000 and eat 2500 calories a day you may not even be gaining weight depending on your activity levels
Been using this workout for quite awhile now, adding modifiers and added weight. Usually do it before work right after i wake up. It’s become a routine now so I’m happy with that. It feels like I’m missing something if i don’t do it. As basic as this workout seems Rob covers a pretty good spectrum and by the end the body feels decently stretched out and ready for a day of work.
Great video, awesome workout!!
I know im super late..but thank u for this video….do u have a email i can reach u on?!!
My mate has gone from the FORTY-ONE inch waistline to some THRITY FOUR inch waist withthis guide “Kοnοnοz yyd” (Google it). I have experimented with this specific diet program also and after having a 7 days, this guideline has provided me an improvement. I possess far more strength and I`ve shed Seven lbs..
I’m 38 years old and avoid the gym like the Black Plague because of intimidation. maybe I’ll try again tonight. Nice video man. Guys are awesome.
My excitement to try “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) weight loss program is at all time high. My eating habits as well as my consistency of few workouts wasn`t modified and also change. Over a period of 30 days, I dropped around 6 lbs. While using this process, I did observe that I consumed food less and filled up quicker..
PLANET ROCK @ 3:35!!!
That is the sign of a good gym.
Great vid, get moving people.
This quarantine has given me anxiety, depression, and worry about my future and the future of my loved ones. You can see that obesity is a major disadvantage in being able to fight this virus. Im 30, 6’1″, and 405 lbs. Ive weighed as much as 470 in my past and have been up and down through the years. Im committed now, more than ever. I did this workout today and will continue this work-out until I am able to do more. I’m thankful this video is here, @beachfitrob.
I m from India
I m 138 KGS.
Can u come some more videos
A only standing
B only sitting.
I cant do both together.
Exercise is what I hate.
Eat is what I love.can’t control.
This is best video I found on YouTube for people like me.
Thanks for this video
N see my body I hate myself
Very good video, lots of info without being too drawn out. Perfect video for someone who wants to get their but into a gym.
I lost over 150lbs with intermittent fasting now im ready to try some workouts!
I just started going to the gym to get rid of the dad bod, are you saying weights are more important than cardio for that? ive been doing 30-45 mins on the elliptical, but not lifting.
I started going to the gym 2/17/20 and have not missed a day since. Almost every single day I’ve worked out for over an hour and a half. I’m 305lbs, and go to Planet Fitness, since I’ve been going I feel better and actually crave going. It’s insane how when I’m not at the gym I think about going to the gym. I have not experienced gymtimidation, I actually love seeing others workout bc then I learn from them and how to fix my stance or posture. I just have a poor mindset when it comes to food and wish I could figure out how to not binge or eat crappy. Any tips would be awesome! Thanks guys!
I’m 200 lbs and 14, I’m more chubby than fat because I’m pretty tall but I’m still really over weight and hope to feel confident in a bikini some day. I tried other work out but I’m just so over weight I wasn’t capable.
That ain’t no lie. Hurt my rotar cuff trying to do 1 pushup. I wasn’t in overweight status…i was flat out obese. I recommend fix your diet, learn proper way to use all the weight machines and don’t worry about going heavy. I joined a gym for 2 yrs building up the strength i need to do calisthenics. Started out at 297 lbs. I only own a set of dumbells and the rest of my exercise is just from calisthenics now. Running well…jogging…helps to drop those pounds the fastest taking me awhile to build back up to where i can run non stop for at least 1 mile. I’m also a 3 pack a day ex smoker. My weight is currently 208.
because I always wanted to do body weight workout instead of doing weight lifting
“if you are still watching drop a like” **GOKU
this my fav beginner video now.
Thank you, i cant wait to do STEP ONE tomorrow
Day 1: 27-7-2020: 100x push-up, squats, Bendover rows, 300 secs plank
Video
(Coming soon)
Those bikes are actually really good for people with joint issues or recovering from severe heart issues. That’s the only thing I’m allowed to do according to my cardiologist. It is probably a much better option for the type of people this video is directed towards than the treadmill
This video was great. Me and the wife just started 3 days ago, and have only done the treadmill and sot down bike. Looking forward to trying diff machines tomorrow. How long did it take u to get to this point?
Was it ok if I will do it at night or it is better in day time??
Thank you so much. I was looking for something like this. I’m 150 over weight. I have heart failure. I need a excercise like this. I just dont want a gastric bypass.
Morbidly obese people looking to lose weight should start training somewhere where they aren’t crushing their knees with their entire bodyweight every step (pool, bike, etc)
I’m watching this on MAY2020 in quarantine. This is inspiring, i’m so proud of the obese man! Clapping for him, great coach he got too.
step 1: drive your car off a cliff. step 2: stay in your car, do not try to get out, or you won’t lose weight. step 3: the worms will take care of the rest.
Any more advice you can think of?? Also thank you for almost 110k subs!! ;D Tee in video: https://teespring.com/takeflightshirt
What is the best way to lost crazy amounts of weight? I read many good reviews on the net about how exactly Custokebon Secrets can assist you lost a ton of weight. Has any one tested out this popular fat burn methods?
We all have different bodies and what works for me might not work for you or vise versa. I tend to bulk up fast and put on muscle and weight fast. Best thing that worked for me to lose 40 pounds was a shit load of cardio and of course a clean diet. I did a clean diet with weights only and I wasn’t losing weight. Did a shit load of cardio and pull up’s, dips, push up’s, etc. and that helped me a lot. Intermittent fasting helps too.
I’m just a little over average, will the 100 pushups a day challenge be a good start?
Fucking awesome! I just started my journey. I’m currently at 275. My goal is 200
Thank you for a modified beginning version for overweight starters…
Btw I’m 5’7 205 pounds any tips advice I wanna reach less than 180
These videos are honestly so helpful! I’m 16 and going to the gym for the first time today. My doctor said I’m at risk for many medical issues and strongly recommended that I lose weight and I’m honestly super ready for a change! I hope I can come back to this in a year and proudly say I lost weight and can finally do a damn pull up LOL
Start where you are you will build the strength you don’t have to lose…
The word fat isn’t offensive it’s a state of being, like being short. took me til highschool to realize that yea I’m fat I’m working on it thanks.
July 26 2020 THE DAY I CHANGE. I’m 13 and 160 pounds and had pre diabetes ( I don’t any more) I will come back in 6 months see you then
Im coming from a gym background, been going to the gym for like 3 years and I was pretty advanced, now Im switching for calisthenics, but Im heavy, I can do push-ups just fine, but pull-ups and chin-ups I can only do series of 3… Can I work with it?
Gatorade is mainly sugar unless you get the zero or minimal.
I have a question for someone closer to the middleground. if you have some time?
Im about 230lbs at 6’0-6’1 im not obese by any means but im starting to get more chubby than id like. My issue with a lot of calesthenics workouts is that my legs are too strong and my core and arms are too weak, i used to be really hard into working out my legs because i loved to do leg press, but ive always neglected a lot of my upper body aside from my forearms (blacksmith and swordfighter so those get worked out more than the rest but still not enough) is there any low impact excersize that focuses more on my upper body?
Hey Brix I am subscribed and I follow IM CALLING OUT FOR HELP I AMD EXACTLY 150 over my body weight… and I have Anxiety and bi-polar depression I’m willing to work out but I I wanna see if I can transform doing AT HOME WORKOUTS I’m willing to put forth full effort but again BRIX I NEED TOUR HELP!! ❗️❗️
So the advice for doing exercises when heavy is… don’t be heavy. Jesus that is low-effort
HERE’S MY PUSH WORKOUT FOR YOU ALL CHECK IT
https://youtu.be/nVGP2fOgRf0
Overweight calisthenics Push workout
Gatorade is okay? Only if you’re super skinny and running a marathon, otherwise avoid like the plague.
To lose weight you need to take in less calories and do cardio
It would have been better if I uncovered this particular “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) a few years back. I lose 12 lbs in 3 weeks up to now. There is still need of exercises even just a few times a week and also the foodstuff to eat must be ideal. It showed astounding outcomes for me. I definitely advise the product, hope it works as excellent for you because it does for me..
You have great form and EXCELLENT encouragement skills. Thank you!!!
These simple assisted motion (knee pushups, straight leg body rows, planks and hinges and bridges) Are pretty effecting. Almost more effective then the chair assisted workout even though I don’t work as long. Would you recommend things like one of those 90s physioballs or yoga straps? They might help get your body into different positions. I also tried some box squats and they were amazing. I should be doing real squats in a few weaks. And If I overdo it. FREE BOX
Is it possible for me to do pull-ups and chin ups since I have long arms?
Day 3, absolutely love this video. Only one that is real for people like me. Hopefully in a few months I can start to breath normally again. Thank you so much
actually instead of cardio it would be better to go weight training for a few months. It burns more fat (proved) and improves your strength too.
Calisthenics ppl don’t want to hear about weights.. I know. I understand i hate gyms too:))
i started cal when i was 6ft4 330 and i could only do 1 push up and 1 pull up. it started there. now im 230 without a belly. just start.
I only want to switch to calisthenics because it’s more suitable for MMA. I weigh 330 but I carry my weight really well actually. I know I can be way faster at 185 and that’s my goal, to fight at middle weight. Lifting weights is cool and all but those are static movements, body weight training is more suitable and more realistic
Running is cool…
But interval intensity sprints are were it’s at if your trying lose fat when your bigger
Im a 5’7″ at 182 lbs and can do 20 pushups, handstand, elbow lever,L sit and 5 pull ups
Thanks alot big fan I’ve technically already lost my weight but I need a lil motivation
well… all I have to say it’s that I lost about 40 pounds.. with no diet just excersise 6 days a week
Another option for pullups are pullup negatives
Either jump or get on a chair and control your speed going down
That really helped me
if your “fat” and your bmi is over 30 any exersize is good it doesnt have to be all cardio but if you want it and i mean want it bad you will try to throw the bs aside and push through cardio training
Covid-19 has taken so much from us, lives, jobs, family, exercise… Thank you for giving back. When life returns to normal this will be my go to video series. BTW, I love feathered guys attitude, ten years of not working out and he has a fabulous attitude towards working out. Thanks beachfitrob for giving the “obese” a healthy and gentle guide to exercising!
intermittent fasting, i.e., fasting on every other day was the practice of Prophet David(dawood) and prophet Muhammad
Should i do HIIT such as interval running daily or alternate days?
What if you dont have bars to do pull ups. Is there another exercises to replace the pull ups or no?
tbh this whole video s a awaste of time, like its common sense that losing weight makes things easier, every fuking person watching the video knows this. the people watching are fat and want to know what to do while fat.
I was 300 lbs and I could do about 20 dips 6 -8 pulls ups and 30-35 push up.
Wait…. the title of this video is how to do calisthenics when you’re overweight/fat….. and the first step is to not be overweight/fat? Smh I want that 5 minutes back. Lol ♀️
I found this during the pandemic in 2020. I am a heavy dude (300lb + my age) and have been looking for something to start the day with. Also switched my morning cereal for a protein shake. Guys let me tell you this felt amazing. Like Brain, I never went above a 7 out of 10.
ok so i just did this workout, and oh my god i cant wait to do it again, i am very over weight and this work out was spot on, thank you so much Lockdown might have its upside after all.
cant seem to buy any of your resistance bands:'( always got a 404 error
I have currently utilized this “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) for a few weeks by now as well as the results are amazing. I have the power I want without curbing the urge for food without having making me feel jittery. I have not changed everything else I am doing and also have dropped 7 pounds..
29yo obese female at 244lbs. Been trying and failing due to my eating habits, laziness.. Also with unsupportive people surrounding me. Yeap.
I decided to cook my own food. The boss in my home cooks food for everyone and forces me to eat too and hence i fall out on my excercises and due to overeating i developed gastro illnesses. I stopped that.
I realised at 29, at 111.1kgs.. This is the first time in my life that im looking within myself and wanting to find beauty. I never wished to look attractive at all, i was all chubby since i was a kid. To top it off i didnt realise i had pcos a year since my first period until it was too late, discovered it in 2018. It explains why i kept gaining weight despite brisk walking excercise and one meal a day diet, they just maintained my overweight numbers and slowed my weight gaining process. When im at home, my life is sedentary, so it quickly maximised my fat reserves. Mom neglects me and keeps loving my skinnier big sis who still looks like a girl even if she is married and has bore a kid.
People often say that i look like a mom to four kids. My sister’s son become my son in others eyes, my mom becomes my sister and my actual sister is not related to me-these are stereotypes people throw at me based on my looks alone. To them im the bad girl but in actuality its the opposite. Too brutally honest and very pure at heart and intentions.
Edit: i heard your advices and it think it might just work if focused mainly on simple stuff and gained expertise on them rather than jumping from one regime to another. I did the exact same thing u mentioned. I added in various excercises until i hurt myself many times.. Ill try my best
Thank you
I don’t know how much i exactly weigh, but I’m not extremely fat. As far as everything goes, my body is fairly proportionate regarding how overweight I am. Iast time i was put on a scale i was weighing almost up to 300 pounds. Right now i fit pants that are 46, and I wear 3XL shirts. I’m at least 5’11” to 6′ tall. How much weight must I loose to start doing calisthenics?
Man i remember those days I was 250 when I started in 2013 fast forward 2019 175lbs and now I help people do the same even won a few trophies along the way….wasnt easy just start off super basic and enjoy the journey…intermittent fasting probably saved my life
Day 1, of my first serious attempt at fitness starts with this, it was easy to follow, encouraging as all hell and actually was a bunch of fun to do
thanks for the video I’ve watched a couple of these now and it’s basically this.
step 1: stop being fat.
step 2: do beginner calisthenics.
it makes sense. calisthenic exercises for overweight sedentary people probably not a good idea.
Thanks for your video
Are you overweight in Covid-19 Quarantine?
If you do not have the opportunity to go to the gym and want to lose weight with a healthy diet
See the link below:
https://www.digistore24.com/redir/273309/Mmshsalaho/
I’m 116kgs and I’ve been doing squats because they’re the least uncomfortable exercise where I still burn calories.
Idk what to comment but there are 4999 comments and I want to be the number 5000
Please, please please @beachbody make a full length program with Tony like this!
cardio cardio cardio i heard……swimming will do right as cardio?
I remember hearing that coffee is also a good replacement for beverages and that it actually benefits weightloss. Is this true as far as you know, I googled it but I get all kinds of contradicting answers.
Just throwing this out there for learning purposes, the term “morbidly obese” doesn’t mean anything medically, really only out of date medical providers use it anymore. Now we use different grades of obesity depending on BMI. Yes, I know BMI is a limited tool but if you are over weight due to excess fat it correlates to an increased risk in several diseases. I’ll list the different BMI categories below.
Below 18 underweight
18 to 24.9 “normal”
25 to 29.9 overweight
30 to 34.9 obese class 1
35 to 39.9 obese class 2
40 or more obese class 3
Note this is only used to discuss risk and not estimate the “ideal” body weight for an individual.
Nice, although I have no idea where is the start point to be consider overweight, even though I’m heavy.
Sort of 95kg (around 210 lbs) and 1,79m (5’10.5″ I guess) with body fat around 18% to 22%.
I used to go to the gym, mostly because it worked better for myself than bodyweight exercises, due to the fact doing push-ups was way easier than doing bench press, at the same time doing pull downs were definitely way easier than pull ups.
I guess would be interesting to establish some mindset about progression, that’s actually what I see the less in calisthenics videos, despite the fact that are a lot of great videos about doing the exercises.
More sort of a suggestion, dope stuff anyway, thanks!
I’ve found that in my process of trying to lose weight, the stents where i’m lifting weights or doing body weight workouts AND doing cardio every workout is when i lose the most weight. If i’m just doing cardio and some ab workouts, there’s not as much of a dramatic loss. Not to mention that I feel as though I look better when doing strength training than i do when just doing cardio. A lot of people don’t realize that you burn a lot of calories doing strength workouts as well. I’m currently doing strength training so that when I lose enough weight to be able to some calisthenics movements, i have the strength for it.
Ok, so say your not OBESE, but you are like 10-20 pounds overweight, small moobs, some flabby arm, jiggly leg, but not stupid crazy. Should you start a combo of things? Like cardio 3x a week with some body weight training like 2-3x a week? Sure it’ll still be hard with that extra weight, BUT, it’s no so much weight that it’s impossible and theoretically you would really benefit quicker from that little extra weight right? Especially if you can stick with it and just burn that shit off?
thanks for the video.. yes I’m 43 and out of shape only 5’6 225lbs. chins are very hard I was trying just to do a few partial reps and seems to help. but yeah I walk and try jogging off and on while walking. slow progress but progress. I actually am able to do 5 to 6 reps of dips on my own now. thanks for the video!!
Im tired of being unhealthy, having big craving on food and also gaining weight each year. Im motivated to lose my weight this year. Lets do this guys!
define “overweight”. I appreciate the sentiment but it has nothing to do with body weight. It’s just strength period. Im “overweight” at 250 lbs. But i’m strong enough to do “basic” calisthenics.
Don’t listen to the idea of “you’re too fat for calisthenics”. All it takes is modification. Little by little it’ll work out. Don’t think cardio is your only option.
What to do of youre not overweight but want to get a sixpack with calisthenics? Like having body fat percentage of round 18%? You really need to eat tons of protein?
Ps: its so great having a channel, that doesnt was just skinny and and gained a little muscle
bro thank you for this. i started by doing just pushups while i was losing weight, and i do think it made the difference in being able to start seeing some definition in my upper body once i got down to around 260…in my 250’s now from 320 in may. looking forward to working some bars by summer and in my early 200’s or less
3:01 BREAKfast will always be the first meal that you eat whenever you eat because that first meal will be BREAKING your FAST.
Guys Gatorade is not okay, idek why he said it is ok. Just stick with water a fruit smoothies home made if u want somthing sweet. Even then don’t have a fruit smoothie every day, prolly twice a week or so
How many times a week should I do strength training? I’m getting my nutrition together, my workouts for my goal are cardio for me having to run 1.5 mile at a certain time, HIIT, and strength training so I’m not flimsy when getting all the fat off I need to get rid of. I’m 5’8 220 with 23%body fat and need to get to 175 by March 20. Any advice would be great. Also for my situation when do you think it’ll be good for me to begin Calisthenics if that’s my main goal instead of strength training?
Im 14, 5’9 and 140 lbs. do you guys think that’s fat? just by the numbers
Great inspiration.. I’m that person new at the gym. Want to do more but don’t know how
I have a tip for you.
I managed to do pull ups with 30% bodyfat. I started with deadhangs->jumping into negatives->holding at the top->partial pull ups->pull ups
All within 2 weeks
I’m slightly overweight can anyone advise me if stair climbing is ideal?
u noe diet is wut contributes the most wen losing weight and excercise is next but it is mostly da things u eat
“How to start calisthenics when you’re overweight”
Step 1. Lose weight
Cool
So… basically… calisthenics isn’t for fat people. They need to drop the weight first. Shit.:/
Great, I’ve been loosing weight and started walking 7 miles three times a week. I’m now looking to implement more varieties in my activities without being bound to a gym or specific lenders tools. I really liked your video. Thank you.
Ps: I assume these recommendations are applicable to women, right?
Im lifting for a year, got bigger.
Im 5’5 yet I train more on strength by liftng heavy. So im overweight for my height. I wanna look more athletic than strong. I wanna be agile and lighter. Do I need to cut first before doing calesthenics. It really sucks that I can bench my bodyweight yet I cant lift myself in a pull up bar and dips. Got any tips?
Just came across this wow such a great trainer and his client is awesome
i love pullups, i used to do barely one now four easily cuz of consistent light weight lifting and pushups. and just keep trying pullups
Agree with walking, and progressive angle of leverage (wall, stairs). Intermittent fasting is a NO NO.
Decrease sugar intake, get more veggies, decrease the starches. Just normal eating. Stop when full.
Men only need about 2000 calories a day, ladies a bit less.
Starvation is NEVER good for the body. Better to eat small 7 times a day.
Hey Guys, i have found amazing method how to lose weight in 2020, if you want to know how i did lose weight email me, [email protected] gmail.com,
i will send you a free program
Thanks for sharing this informational video, you are doing a great job.
Thank you for this!!! You have encouraged me to get back to health. Thank you! thank you! thank you!
Thankyou so much it’s really helpful for obese people like me
Thank you for this video! This helped boost my confidence in wanting to start calisthenics
i disagree. Should not recommend IF for obese people. Obese people have problems with food, impulse control, amongst other food related difficulties. Your solution is to tell them not to eat for 16 hours? 8 out of 10 will fail almost immediately and 9 out of 10 will drop IF 6 months to a year in regardless if it works or not. If calorie restriction is the goal, have them analyze a weeks worth of food with a tracker. Then show them areas where they can cut 200-500 calories, i.e. eliminating certain snacks, reducing portions, food substitutions. Allow them to become comfortable with less food while incorporating walking to their daily routine. This will allow the stomach to shrink slowly while improving cardiovascular endurance. Then begin amping up the calorie restriction and activity as allowable. These crash diet approaches rarely work for any non athlete and they most definitely do not work for the overwhelming majority of obese persons. I respect your opinion but these sound like opinions taken from youtube videos and not real world, scientific, and safe weight loss techniques. Out
I am fat and I needed a workout that I could start and not feel like it was to much. Now with covid 19 this video could save my life.
I can’t even do 1 pull up at age 12 116lbs.. what should my lb be for my age
Yea fasting is the way. Not only do I drop pounds but my insides feel better.
Thanks Brother, been trying to lose fat, I’ve been doing exactly what you’re saying and I also do Muay thai on the side…
Keep up the good work G
for those of you who hate running learn to longboard, skate around for a few hours a day, ull put a ridicules amount of muscle on and also lose a lot of weight
Imo for most overweight people the steps should be.
0. Do something to increase activity levels if you are too sedentary. Ive seen everything from pokemon go, to slacklining, to fire spinning accomplish this. So find a niche that you think is fun do it when you feel like it.
1. Cut all liquid calories out of your diet, drink water, tea or coffee but no soda or milk.
(Most people already see an incredible change after just that)
2. Remove all unnecisary snacks from your day, maintain the big meals and learn to distiguish and control hunger and cravings.
3. Once your weight gets to a range where bodyweight exercise is not maximum effort all the time, start increasing the volume of your calisthenics training.
Not true. The muscles to ex cute those moves need to be developed. There are men in the military with beer guys that will slay you in burpees.
If you read the comments, I could use some pointers, which might seem dumb for what I am about to mention, but I could use some help.
So after over 13 years, I have decided to start working out. Currently I smoke like a chimney, drink pretty heavily, and do not eat a lot.
I know that I need to quit smoking and drinking, but my biggest problem is that I really do not like to eat. For me eating is a chore, not a pleasure, so what are some mental tricks I can use to help myself want to eat more, so that when I do work out I actually build muscle and not end up hurting myself due to lack of nutrition for muscle building?
(Hope my question made sense.)
Is their anyone who actually eats breakfast lunch and dinner on the reg
I wasn’t sure that I could pull if off…after 6 minutes I was out of breath loll,..but I pushed myself…so I said to myself..if he can do it so can I…and I’m proud to have done it all the way..and now I’m gona do it 3 times a weeks..then 4 until I can do it everyday.
I am Sorry but at a glance i thought he was jonny sins but yeah, great tips mate
I wished I’ve seen this before. I had many problems with my joins because of overweight and doing exercises that my body could not handle. Walking is certainly a good habit. I said to myself…doing something is better than doing nothing. And about jogging, don’t run to be in shape, get in shape to run!, thanks for the video! Greetings
I am 37 and never been to a gym, yes:-) And this the first video I watched to start…wish me luck guys
This is the most realistic start-up for the people who never worked out in there life. Hence Me. Seriously thank you. But like the saying goes… Im starting my diet tomorrow. lol
Guys I’m 14 and weight 61kg or around 124 pounds and I’m 5”7 or 5”8 it’s 24 of July 2020 let’s see how I do any tips hmu my ig is @k.shhmo
Hello there, have you considered Custokebon Secrets yet? Just simply do a google search search. On there you will discover that a great tips about how exactly you can lost a ton of weight. Why not give it a chance? maybe it’ll work for you too.
I’m 380 + as I’m texting this msg.just finished this workout with my kids. Thanks Brother for posting this workout with a big man I can relate to. Just feels great just after the first day.may we be blessed.
Thanks man. At least i can put it in my self lock down activities lol i watched it last year. But never did it for a long time. I will try to be consistent from now on. Since at least nothing to do other than knitting during the lock down
I have already applied this “Yamzoko Weebly” (Google it) for some days already and the final results are fantastic. I still have the vitality I want without controlling my desire for foods without making me feel jittery. I haven`t changed other things I`m doing and have lost 7 pounds..
Watched this video 7 months ago and now 7 months later im 40kgs lighter and am now at a very “healthy” weight. Thanks so much man.
This was a really good way to teach the calisthenics basics.
Push ups pushing
Inverted rows pulling
Squats legs
Plank core
I’ve seen other channels try to go into way to much detail about these 4 categories. When were just starting out though that’s way too much info, we have time to learn all that later as we progress. Thanks for the info
I just found this workout video. I love how positive he is. The hardest part of starting to workout when obese is finding workouts that make feel like ‘Yes!!! I can do this!!!’ This is only the second workout I have found that I have not quit after the warm up. Thank you so much for sharing this. I will be sharing this with the people I care about. Thank you to Brian for sharing your workout. You have shown us all that we can do this too. You inspire me to get moving too.
My frend is 596 pawnds he hard work cant do full ups can help me?
Just started this in January it started off once a day in the mornings now I do it once in the mornings followed by 30 mins on my exercise bike then I hit this workout again around 9 PM every night. I haven’t missed a workout since I started and I got the video memorized just about I love it!
I did everything you said when you first made this video and I was 270 now I’m 175 and I’m ripped. Thank you
I just finished taking the time to watch and listen to this video. This video did help and I’m going to give it a better shot at the gym. Being depressed doesn’t help at all, so its a constant struggle for consistency. Thank you. I’ll give it a better try.
Ok the way I understand it your body breaks down glycogen stored in muscles after 6 hours of not eating, this is part of the reason breakfast is important, if this is accurate intermediate fasting such as 16/8 is not a good idea. I also looked into some research because I was curious and it is not recommended for women wanting to become pregnant. I just wanted to put this out there since my degree was health education. From personal experience I recommend eat small meals or snacks 200-400 calories when hungry and drink water in between. This keeps you body from breaking down muscle and provides energy. 3,500 Calories equals one pound of fat. Try to develop a healthy lifestyle. A small deficit in calories and increased activities will result in weight loss, but insure it is maintainable or the weight comes back quickly. good luck and be safe!
Can’t believe I’m finally seeing this guy now, damn, needed this video when it first came out.
As someone who’s been overweight for a while, one thing I noticed is that nobody of the trainers give advice on how to walk properly to reach maximum results.
Very few trainers talk about swimming oa an exercise and how to do it correctly to reach maximum results either.
Yet, when done correctly, those are number one exercises for loosing weight and getting fit.
This is great. I’m 350 lb and starting my weight loss journey. Here’s a workout I can do daily in addition to weights and riding the bike. Eventually I will do the P90X work out.
Intermittent fasting is always a bad idea. Either you control your calories or full out fast. You’ll always be hungry and not really make progress. The government / military has done studies on this.
Honestly, i weigh 280 lbs. Im sticking with negatives on all the exercises i can lmao
Pullups are actually pretty difficult they are nowhere near basic
Bro just say fat if you can’t accept you’re fat you won’t change. From experience
Am 370 I want to lose weight and look and feel great by next summer. Help me
It all starts with push ups do what u can and add more when your able
Intermittent fasting, previously known as “skipping breakfast”.
If you have access to gymnastic rings, that will open a work of possibilities for all skill/strength levels!
I started body building at age 14 I was a bit overweight my resting metabolic rate was 1500 I was eating 2200 calories of good fats and around 200 grams of protein a day, I started noticing gains about a month in, just eat healthy not all about calories if you are trying to gain muscle
I need help man. Been tryna lose 30lbs but can’t seem to stick to any diet and or plan.
Your channel is really helpful right on spot and addressing specific problems. Thank you!
Your channel is really helpful right on spot and addressing specific problems. Thank you!
Does anybody have any other links on YouTube to more workouts like this one?
Years ago I was like 330 n I started at 1 kicking pull-up and within a year(maybe yr n half) I had a 10-12 count,50 pushups, and 30 dips for 10 sets..so it can be done very mental if anything..now I’m fuckin back at 330 and starting from the bottom did 200 pushups sets of 20 yesterday…wish me luck
I am pretty fit but am thinking about hitting the gym twice/thrice a week is it worth it, and if i do go what should i do? I was looking and was thinking about doing a 5*5
Don’t shy away from the assisted pull up/dip machine either.
Being morbidly obese has ruined my life. I have nothing to look forward to. I can’t do anything without gasping for breath, bright red, sweating, being in pain so I’m rarely in public as it’s humiliating. This obviously makes it worse, as I just sit inside, I have no friends for support or to go out with anyway. I was also diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and it makes physical activity even more painful. I paid for weightloss surgery 10 years ago, had some success til it made me really ill and failed in 2013 and now I’m heavier than ever at 325lbs.
At nearly 28 I have never been so down in my life and this weight is mostly to blame. All because I can’t stop eating fatty and sugary foods and am too embarrassed to go out. I hate myself for doing this and I still can’t stop, it’s like a slow suicide.
This is probably the worst bit of information you can give someone who is obese, let alone morbidly obese.
1. Go see your medical doctor for a yearly physical check-up.
2. Ask doctor what type of low-impact aerobic exercises a person at your weight can reasonably accomplish.
3. Get a work-out buddy or friend to go with you to work out and/or walk. As this is for safety and to keep the boredom from setting in. Safety, for those just in case moments when either one of you could have a medical emergency.
4. Don’t do yoga until you’re about 25 30 overweight or under that, you’re body, as being morbidly obese will not increase in flexibility because your body’s core muscles and joints are under undue stress because you’re overweight. You may wind up straining or over-extending one of more joints by accident when attempting to do yoga.
5. Do warm and cool down stretching from a standing position; only. Using a park bench to help you do an assisted lunge is a very good idea. Morbidly obese people will not be able to do a normal lunge as seen in yoga.
There are other suggestions, too but it’s all about common sense.
What if you’re agoraphobic? I have a treadmill and weights also a fitbit
Push ups are no problem, but Pull ups fucks me up every time.
Why do people use stone instead of kg or pounds? It seems so complicated
That’s what I was thinking too. Most morbidly obese people can’t walk for long periods of time.
“How to Start Calisthenics when You’re Overweight/Fat”? You can’t. lose weight first.
There. No need for a patronizing six and a half minute long video of an athletic person, who has no idea how to lose weight, telling you the obvious as if it’s some unique “three step plan”. P.S. His advice isnt even that great. Do weight training, it’s very good for burning fat, will help making the changes to your metabolism that you need, and will give you a head start when you do finally get into the calisthenics. Cardio is also good but if you are fat and don’t exercise you will almost certainly not succeed in becoming some hardcore pure cardio person overnight.
For such a big guy he did awesome. I hope he is fit and well today
step one:DONT EAT SO MUCH FUCKING FOOD THEN YOU WONT NEED THIS VIDEO:D
and BMI is bullshit.
what if your BMI is 30 and your fat level is 2-3%?
Doesn’t get discouraged fat people, use grease the grove to build up strenght while you lose weight. when you arrive at your first marked weight you will have the strenght to perform a lot of exercises and you will have already some muscle (that will help you lose weight, give form to your body, lessen the loose skin and not make you look like a deflated baloon). Work on building your pushups and pull ups as well as your squats. Core exercises can’t really take advantage of your heavy weight, but do them regardless. take it easy build your strenght, lose your weight and then build your body. Careful with pull ups and bad form. If you have dumbells use them to work your lats and your arm (especially that bit from pulse to elbow (can’t remember the name in english)). Good luck fat bastards and make gainzzzzz
If my personal trainer said “whatever turns you on” repeatedly I’d be a little weirded out…
Great workout though
Currently sitting at 564 at 26 years old about to be 27 I was gonna do the gastric but then Corona said “haha fuck you”
So after a two week depression I found this video and did my first day today I’m not gonna let my depression or this weight control me anymore I’m tired of just existing I want to live again
really interesting and to the point. gonna try this as soon as I can. thanks for the info, man. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for the advice. Will start and track my progress accordingly
I’m pretty overweight(not morbidly obese)but I can still do some push-ups a easy calisthenics work outs but I’m still working to lose weight to make it easier for me because I still struggle a lot so thank you for the advice and tips I appreciate it
If I didn’t have man boobs I would be just big and tall any tips to getting rid of them? I’m tired of the bs
Hey AD, great informational video bro loved it. As a soldier who got overweight (325lbs) after getting out of the army, I know how hard calisthenics can be! The basic workouts you listed here are great for overweight people to train on. I used to eat 7K+ calories daily easily, dropped down to 2-3k now. My goal right now is to build solid muscle with the basic bodyweight exercises which is going great because the extra weight actually is helping me build more muscle than I could before when I was 180 to 200lbs years ago. My dream is to be able to perform planche pushups, muscle ups and handstand pushups. I’ve never done let alone a handstand in my life tho lmao so this is going to be a long journey. I also upload every workout video I do since I started this journey if anyone wants to check em out, this is my channel. At the moment I’m on day 56 of my weight-loss journey, I hope it can motivate and inspire some of you who see this post!
I’ve cutout soda, my hardest thing to stop drinking would be sweet tea (a cup of sugar to a gallon) My research says 90 calories to a 16 oz glass
AD you the man thanks for the tips and all your helpful videos.
I really want to go to the gym, like I’m really motivated to after this video, only problem is, the island I live on doesn’t have a single gym:’ (
Thank you for this. You and your client were an excellent team and the exercises were properly modified to suit those of us whose size and fitness level rule out certain movements. I did the exercises along with you and I enjoyed it. Which is… a miracle, quite frankly.
I don’t know if you’ll respond but I’m 16 and I weigh 187 lb… Can I do these exercises as well or should I not? I don’t want to try these knowing that it could do more harm than good…
I really thank so much,I’ve struggled with weight this is awesome advice thank you keep doing your thing and I’m your biggest fan pal✔️.
bro what i need to do about food if i dont have money to buy healthy food, can i just eat less or what?
This video was fantastic btw. I never saw myself in the gym and now it’s 2 months in I go 4x a week and love it… I start off with cardio, I get warmed up on the treadmill, then I move to the weight machines and I go round each machine doing at least 3 sets of 10-15 reps. With a high weight. Then I move back and finish with cardio… but what’s next? What should I aim for next? I’m ready to change my routine but I’m unsure what I should head into next?
Tony, you seem like a really good guy and you’re always helping people. Blessings to you and your family.
im 28 5,9 316lb im doing this program and the plank the most difficult one for me i can old it about 10-15 seconds also i do 3 rounds of all exercise with about 10 reps each
I’m a 160ib and can do 50-100 knuckle push-up but can’t do a single pull up
I’m a Tony Horton fan. I’ve never met him but he’s a ‘friend in my head’. Patience! He has it in spades! Fantastic trainer!
This really helped me bro thank you God bless you and your family ❤️
I don’t wanna start calisthenics when I am overweight, I wanna start calisthenics because I am overweight
This is truly a God-send. I am so happy I found this video!!! Please make more of these kinds of videos!
I’m still young
13 years old
But 100 KG (220 lbs I think)
Change is needed
I’m a 55 year old female, I’d like to know if it will be safe for me to start doing calisthenics beginning workout?
Your channel is really helpful right on spot and addressing specific problems. Thank you!

Definitely like the workout Tony Horton!! Give you a lot of credit for helping and pushing the the man to exercise. I subscribed
Thanks, I appreciate your clip. I learned a lot today. You’re the best.
please some one ytp the fuck out of this. I’m too lazy to do so.
cannot believe i stumbled upon you during the “social distancing” era. o how i wish i would’ve know about you months ago. such a motivator. like a virtual life coach. you guys are pretty dern awesome
Thanks for the wonderful explanation.. I have a question, can you suggest the types of protein and who should take what kind of protein and for how long.
I’m back on here. I found this in Jan Did it nightly then gave a shot to P90 which is the first p90 Tony came out with. I still can’t keep up. Level 1-2 is suppose to be 6 weeks long then the level 3-4 6 weeks. I can’t get past level 2. I was doing fair considering I hadn’t done it in a while now I’m back at square one. So I’ve come back here just so I can keep moving. This journey is hard and tough. I’ve gotten in contact with Brian on Twitter trying to get him on here and FB but……he hasn’t appeared. LOL….. yet. Maybe Rob can get him.
This is a great workout. Thank you so much for posting it for free!
I went whole food vegan almost two months ago and have lost about 22 pounds (currently 187 lb 5’1) but as I’ve suffered from anemia since I was a kid, it’s hard to control my breathing and just exercising in general. I found out about calisthenics and have been watching your videos! Although it’s tough for me right now, your content motivates me to keep working harder. Thank you!
I’m 330lbs.. been searching for an exercise that will not make me stop moving as beginner.. I’m gonna try this! Hopefully i can keep it up….
Much love from malaysia ❤❤❤
Okay so I’ve been in shape most of my life but recently I’ve gained too much weight. So I’m 21 and 200 lbs let’s see how it goes
Really love this workout, you can follow at their pace or speed up to your own level/ pause and extend reps amounts. I have found myself on days where I’m feeling extra active challenging Brian to see how many reps I can do in his 10. Thanks again ☺
This video is definitely amazing! It helps me recall of the time when my sister used Custokebon Secrets to lose 19 lbs and enjoy being healthy again! Many people want to lose fat, however we also need to stay healthy and balanced, which is what Custokebon Secrets given.
Your realistic and very excited I found your video!!! Most other videos trainers are unrealistic and well I am not down with that 😉 I am SOo excited to get started as I am 273 lbs 😉 Thank You!!!!
Hmmmm… Interesting. I can do that workout routine, but I need to find a different one for my dad.
He’s not as overweight as I am, but he’s got a bum leg. As in cancer treatment in his leg killed the bone 10+ years ago, then 2 years ago it snapped like a twig, and it will never heal because the bone is just calciumno live cells anymore.
So standing on his leg is painful, bending over is painful, and squats are painful. So I need to find him a workout routine that works out the muscle of his leg, without putting a lot of stress on it.
But I can 100% try this workout. I don’t expect to lose weight, but I’ve been gaining weight since I was 10 and never stopped.
I’ve tried dieting, I’ve tried yoga class, I’ve tried swimming, I’ve tried belly dance, cycling, treadmill… None of it slowed down the weight gain. PCOS and depression is hecking fun.
I mean, I felt better exercising. I had less aches and pains, so even if it doesn’t slow my weight gain, I wanna do it anyway.
I hope, I really, really hope that I can keep myself from crossing the 350lb line. I hope I can stop gaining weight before that, even if I have to bust my ass to keep at 340lbs. No weight loss goal, I’ve been down that disheartening road before. I would be happy if I spent all my life at 300lbs. I don’t need a beach body. I’m not terribly proud or vein. I just… Don’t want to die of obesity, you feel me?
Getting down to only overweight (180-200lbs for me) is my pie-in-the sky dream… Akin to dreaming about what I would do if I got hired by SpaceX or NASA.
But, if I cross the 400lb mark, I’ll consider weight loss surgery.
Congratulations on your transformation. Keep up the great work.
Walking is great, I remember when I walked about 6 or 7 miles a day. Lost 20 pounds in a trimester… but the last 10 pounds of the 50 I neees to lose are being hell!
Intermediate fasting is a no go because my metabolism is really slow and it is already otpimized for crunching meals and absorbing everything!
How u lose weight without mad loose skin? That’s what im really afraid of
i love this student has such a great attitude and the coach is soothing vs aggressive
Did my first workout today, felt good. He was so nice to the man and that helped alot. Made me feel more encouraged
Dude this actually is gonna help. I thought I was just worthless because I couldn’t do pull ups and push ups but I could only lift so much weight. I’m 5’11 becoming 6 feet and I’m 280 and I’ve been 280 for a while I’m somehow sustaining the weight but this will give me an idea about how to lose weight thanks a lot.
This is a fabulous home work out! Thank you Rob, Tony, Brian, & your vidiographer! I used my water bottle for the ‘lawn mowers’ & two coffee jars for the shoulder flyes. I’ve collected some milk bottles of increasing sizes up to 2 litres so I can increase the weight. I’ll go & check out the new modificayions. Again, thank you!
I streched it out a bid into a 1 hour workout and stuck with it and did this for one week I have already lost 2 pounds this is crazy this man is very motivating I love this video
Lovely…If Brian could stay the course, I could too! For me the 2 lb weights came out of the dusty corner and were enough. Thank you both. See everyone tomorrow AM…Be there or Be square!!!
This really touched my heart ❤️ I want him to WIN in life and in his journey! God bless you for this!!!
Thanks great information and and your video was easy to follow thanks again

06.21.2020 im about to start my journey im 5’10 315 someone comment so i can keep coming back to see how far I’ve gotten. Thanks man u just motivated me
Or. Water fast. Simple as fuck. Buy a jar of “ultima replenisher” electrolyte powder, mix 3 scoops with 3L of water, have another 3L of water plain, and take multivitamins and omegas as directed on the containers daily.
Simple shit, peeps. Drink water. Take Vitamins. Don’t eat. Your body fat is literally fuel for your body, you won’t die by doing this unless you burn off all your fat and then start going into muscle and everything else. TheProGamerJay did it for 28 days and went from 220 to 169, and that was after spending months to get from 247 to 220.
Not to mention this other guy that was in the mid to high 400’s and he fasted for just over/just under a year. A YEAR with just water and vitamins. Dude got down to 180-190. Both of these people have either maintained their achieved weight {aside from gaining back 10 pounds of water weight and poop weight in the first week} or only gained weight through muscle building due to exercise.
So yeah. That’s what I’m doing. 4 days in and my 10 pounds of water and crap weight are gone. Trying for 170 from 280. My worst was 330 and I’ve been floating between 270-300 after getting down from that weight spending TWO YEARS cycling 5 miles a day and skipping one meal just so I could fuel my internet addiction at a library. Tried going to the gym briefly and doing the whole protein powder macro tracking thing, and it didn’t give me acceptable results. This will work much better.
Then it’s onto clean eating {aside from my ‘victory run’ lol} and full on calisthenics mode.
The only people I catch judging others at the gym are the little old ladies
So I’ve recently lost a bunch of weight I went from 250 or so to about 190 but when it comes to strength I am still pretty much out of shape in honesty. Do you think I am ready for at least starting the basics of Calisthenics? I honestly want to get into this but I just am not sure if I’m quite physically there yet. Honestly I’ve already tried doing a few things like push ups and I struggle with that as it is. Do you think I need to lose some more weight before starting or should I just keep pushing myself and continue trying? Of course sticking to the basics as you said.
another thing is getting a chiseled jawline. will calisthenics help you to get a chiseled jawline?
I’m 5’65” and 187 lbs and can’t even do one single girl/knee push up
Have u ever asked yourself why u dont have subscribers? Please dont use clickbait pics to make people listen to your talking. Only muscle ure training is your jaw. Boring and unnecessary. Waste of time and o2 as well.
Thank you so much. I’ve been struggling with my weight for so long now. The corona quarantine hasn’t helped with that. Every video is so complicated and unclear but you’re so clear and helpful. Hopefully the journey starts here
The Next parts of these videos are now out! Push day, Pull day, and Leg day routines! Check the description!!

COMMENT ME
AND I GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION
I have really bad social anxiety and the gym is one of few packed places I feel comfortable.
Im 215 and i have a belly and love handles if i want to weigh less do i loose the weight i have now or is it a smart idea to start now
@thegagalover1 it depends, if you’re 6 ft tall and 12 years old then 149 is okay but if you’re 4 ft 6 than you’re considered to be morbidly obese.
As soon as all this virus stuff tones down I’m going to the gym, all of mine around me are closed until the 31st. I just turned 22 in Jan and I’m 5”9’ weigh 288 pounds. I really really need to lose weight and get to a point in my journey where I’m more comfortable with my body and more healthy. I’m scared of later in life if I don’t do anything about it now. I used to do the keto diet and went from 305lbs to 240lbs in a year but idk if it’s a good idea to try that again. My goal weight is anywhere between 220 and 190 I feel it’s a logical and doable goal weight. Just need to plan out everything!
Hi everyone… I want to share my weight loss journey with you all to help. I did all kinds of cardio exercises but I am not able to lose weight. To lose weight you need only one exercise. Try doing skipping rope. Start from 500 a day and keep increasing with time. I was 200 lbs before doing it. And after 20 days of doing skipping rope, I went down to 183 lbs… Also diet is the major part.stuck with 1700 calories a day diet and boom you will see the difference.
Who else doin this cuz of quarantine glow ups I’m 5”8 and 59kg I’m tryna lose weight if yall got tips tell meh
When considering eating healthy, you have to never fall victim to modern day fad diet plans. Extreme diets undoubtedly are a risk for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your every day nutritionary intake. While they may generate rapid loss of weight, these diets will never be a long-term solution for your weight problem. It is best to search Custokebon Secrets on google since it isn’t just another fad diet where you starve yourself.
On the bright side of being overweight trying to start calisthenics, once the weight is lost, the exercises will be just that much easier because you were basically doing naturally weighted pullups and dips
Great video. In my personal opinion I think for any overweight people to start the strength training along with your diet and cardio because strength training burns a ton of calories and it will help build a good amount of muscle. I started doing calisthenics about 1 and a half months ago and I weighed about 210 pounds when I started and I now weigh around 196 and if anything I can tell I’ve gained a ton of muscle. So incorporate strength training when you start and you’ll see results.
Nice vid thanks. My knee simply will NOT let me squat (left knee is jacked up). Any advice to get core/leg workouts?
Hi im interested in calisthenics and im tryin lose weight but i have some insecurities. First of all im 15 yo, 1,81 and 93kg, i wanna get to 80-85kg, will i have loose skin? Btw i have some stretch marks which may be increased in the future, will they disappear with time?
im 210 trying to get down to 145-155. Thanks for the motivation.
