Using just a pair of dumbbells and this dumbbell-only routine you’ll be able to hit all the major muscle groups in your body, and build a stronger body in only 30 minutes a day. Why it works. Dumbbell training allows you to workout one side of your body at a time, which is great for curing any strength imbalances you’ve developed.
And because each limb moves independently, your core has to brace.Workout Description 1. Dumbbell Squat 3 10 2. Dumbbell Stiff Legged Deadlift 3 10 3. Bent Over Dumbbell Row 3 10 4. Dumbbell Bench Press 3 10 5. Lateral Raises 2 8 6. Standing Dumbbell Curl 2 8 7. Lying Dumbbell Extension.10 each side x Plank T-Raise (In a straight-arm plank, lift a dumbbell up and rotate up into a side plank, keeping your eyes on the moving dumbbell. Penny, I just found your videos. Loved this workout. I’m trying to focus on weight loss of about 5 lbs with weights more then cardio. I’m recovering from a fall that caused me a concussion 2 weeks ago and my foot still recovering. I modified three of the exercises as I couldn’t bare weight on my right foot/toes. Loved ❤️ it!!

My husband and I love this video! You nailed it on a really great way to follow your steps without being confused. It’s a great weight workout that targets the full body. The only call out that we have is if you can do a demo step during the break of what’s going to be next on the 40 sec rep instead of when the 40 sec count starts.

Day 1: I’m so goddamn sweaty but that’s probably a good thing. I only got 8 and a half minutes into the video before my right knee started to hurt. I had to modify a few of the exercises since I can’t do lunges. Decided to stop a quarter way through the video and push myself further tomorrow. My arms don’t hurt surprisingly.
I love working out with weights today as I made a program for myself of once or twice a week weight lifting. So for today, I am #teamweights🙂

Hi Penny, yes I enjoyed it as I will train legs on the MBK later. I would like a stretching session of about 15-20 min to add it after the HIIT or Tabata or else workout. Anyhow I love your workouts and do them almost every day.

*Just to answer a few commonly asked questions on this youtube video I was using 8k weights only in this workout. This type of workout doesn’t need crazy weight, especially if you’re just getting started.Beauty is if you need to push yourself a little harder you can simply up the weight over time
*Again depending on the weight you’re using, I would recommend doing this workout every other day, or 4 times a week. If you’re going heavier, a break in between would be recommended to give the muscles used a little time to rest and recover.

Really appreciate this workout! I am fifty-one, with lower back issues caused from a birth defect that seem to have gotten worse the older that I get and that has slowed me down as far as working out goes, so I started out today with five pound dumbbells and that was enough for me. I use to work out to maintain my weight and of course for appearance sake, but my goal now is to keep my body strong and healthy. I liked that this was a full body workout. Thank you again!

Hey, how frequently should this be done? It’s so hard to figure out what exercises to do in a week. Could you create a playlist in a nice order for doing in a weekly rotation? It’s been awhile since I went to military college and I can’t remember all the routines as there’s so many and I would need a hangar sized room for the amount of running added into each exercise so some nice home exercises would be great in the playlist style mentioned.

Can we do this everyday?? If so any rest day is required like sunday in general.. will my body may not loose skin if i do this.. becoz i dont want it once i did all these
First time I’ve tried your workouts. I really enjoyed it. For me, there would be a great improvement if you simply timed the rest period (eg 15 secs). I kept having to fast forward to the next exercise. Thank you though, great workout.
@ Funk Roberts Good Workout do you ever use any RESISTANCE BANDs in your workouts?
Just a request…would it be possible to put up the name of the upcoming exercise a little earlier, during the 20sec rest period? And maybe a little pop-up preview window showing you doing the exercise in a corner somewhere, like the upper left or right corner I guess? I think the preview window and earlier timing on the exercise titles would help us set up for the next exercise during the rest periods. Thank you! (Oh, and loved your humor during the workout definitely felt your pain for sure!)

Loved it, great to have something different to my usual body weight and hiit cardio workouts. I like how all the exercises are simple to follow but effective. Can’t do those press up thingys just yet though, got to work on my balance!

You put together a good workout there’s a couple of negative points concerning the names and the exercises the power clean that you did is actually a hang clean as the power clean starts from the floor the next exercise was the Romanian deadlift the deepest you go is to your knees you were actually doing a stiff leg deadlift and the arm technique is called stage reps the video presentation was very good so keep up your training take care

New subscriber here! This was my first Penny workout, and I really enjoyed it even though it was tough, and I had to lighten up on my weights. The no vocal cues/coaching was new for me, but as I got more familiar with the moves and the timer, I could see the benefit in that it helps with focus, and it’s nice to not have to keep up with someone elses counts and reps. The workout truly becomes your own. Glad I found the channel! I’ll be back for more!

Sum squats do not make my knees pop. Can I do those instead of the split squats?

Definitely only went once this time but I had already done bench press earlier, shoulder press, squats, dead lift and eccentric straight bar curls so I was a little burnt out. Loved the second camera showing the movements. I love your workouts sir and helps keep me going when you’re there right along doing it to.
