I always defaulted to the mediterraian “diet” its balanced in a lot of ways and your not cutting much out. Many middle eastern dishes are really good and not processed. Basically anything processed is bad just have to be moderate about it.

This is not food, these are products. Yes, it is better for you than a lot of what many people eat, but let’s just not confuse this with actual food. Way too many people rely on supplements and snacks especially when they work out.

I’ve been eating Keto for the past 4 months and no gout flare-ups. I was told by my doctor to stop eating red meat and seafood. Also, no alcohol. Gout is inflammation of the joint and the uric acid crystals happen to settle in those joints that are inflamed. Eliminate your inflammation, you can eliminate gout. I eat more red meat than I have ever in my life. I have stopped alcohol and that has helped too. This is typical medical advice that isn’t valid. Fats are good, so is protein. The devil is in the carbohydrates, that cause high sugar levels and insulin resistance. THAT’S the issue, not fat or meat.

Caution: low carb does NOT equal keto! Please read through some of these studies quoted by medical experts (if they even post them) and you’ll find that they are referring to diets with around 20% of calories coming from carbohydrates (any carbohydrate) and sometimes high protein, which is more than enough to keep insulin levels high and cause problems.

I only feel full and satisfied if I eat around 2000 calories per meal I’m on my 4th week of eating 1700 calories a day (aiming to lose 10lbs in 8 weeks) and I swear I’ve been hungry the entire time! The low cal meals take the edge off for about half an hour then it’s back to hungry. People seem to think 1700 calories is plenty but I’m finding it really tough. I came here hoping for a magic low calorie food that will keep me full all day lol

Been on a calorie deficient diet had been a bit rough so I found your video and not gonna lie, but that sugar free Jell-o got me excited.
the most effective diet for me was not a diet at all. My diet is I can eat whatever I want but when I hit 1200 calories I have to stop. Can’t have anymore food for the rest of the day. I only eat breakfast and supper at 4- 4:30 and 2 small snacks in between. It is so easy. I’ve dropped upwards of 5lb in a week healthily. fasting is good for you and I spend about 16-17 hours in a fasting state every day and I only eat between 10 AM and 5. 7 hours. The rest of the time I am fasting.

I cannot get into burning weight on this kinosis diet. I did lose 167 lb keeping my carbs to 25 per meal. But it’s 61 my body is just not moving any of that weight. I’m riding on these sites just no good nobody ever answers you they make a video and disappear if I don’t hear from anybody I’m beginning to think all these people who have 16k followers it’s a bunch of horse pucky there’s nobody watching it at all they’re paying YouTube every month to make it look like they have followers as they do on Facebook and Twitter.

Don’t believe anything anyone says about a diet before they at least properly define the diet. More often than not, the low carb diet comparisons are generally using a lower high carb diet, not anywhere near what low carbers consider low carb: < 10%

Some of the comments below are odd and not very wise. You CANNOT apply one approach to gout to everyone. That’s just dumb. Many factors impact gout and our INDIVIDUAL bodies act and react in different ways. Be aware of what goes into your body and eliminate anything that has the TENDENCY to increase gout. Continue eating things that don’t cause gout. Again, it’s all different for everyone but keep an eye on those foods with high purines. Yes, some might not impact YOU but some impact OTHERS. That’s just common sense, people. Good video.
Trying to lose weight by eating less, because eating healthy backfires, I still live at home so my parents pick out dinner. But I had a green apple for breakfast and I’m already halfway through the day, going strong! At the moment I am 16 y/o, 169 cm and weigh around 69 kg. That’s 5,5 feet & 152 pounds. Low fat diet has gotten me nowhere, except overweight. Low carb diet (healthy fat) with intermittent fasting has been a game changer for me. Only carbs I eat are veggies, 1 low GCI fruit per day, and oatmeal every other day with flax seed and cinnamon. Not going back to the bullshit spouted from the “medical community”.

Medication for gout? Didn’t know there was such a thing. But i found even skim milk wasn’t good because of its high sugar content. I switched to almond, coconut, rice and oat milks, they have less or 0 sugar.

It may be that living a low carb lifestyle is a skill that must be developed over time. Just like anything else, your not very good at doing anything at first but over time you get better and better. That may be the key. Trial and error until you find what works for you. A Korean friend once told me it takes about 30 days for your body to properly adapt to a new way of eating. So don’t expect to be an expert at low carb living over night. It takes time. However don’t forget to drink lots and lots of water. Most people don’t drink anything even remotely close to enough water. It’s really basic but so very vital to healthy living. You need that water to flush your system out of all the toxins in the digestive system. All those chemical reactions to convert food to energy produce waste and that waste needs to be flushed out every day.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but have you noticed that it’s always big pharma telling you not to do something that actually works. For example, low carb diet has proven to help you lose weight and become more healthy, there are a million people who have done it successfully and have been unsuccessful on a low fat diet. They can’t make money on healthy people with no medical conditions so they keep peddling their crap to keep you going to the doctor for more and more medications that don’t help.

12 weeks on keto, down 30 lbs. wife down 19. We have also cut down our caloric intake a lot which obviously also helps.
Original goal was for 40 lbs. weight loss. New goal is 60 lbs. that will be from 243 to 183.

What did you use to mix with the pudding to make it 140 calories? It says you need 2 cups of milk but that would make it a lot over 140 calories because the whole pack of the pudding mix is already 120.

Im a gout sufferer for the past 20 years I tried all those “healthy diet” none of it worked, I started on the keto diet for the last 4 months, and now I feel way much better, the worst thing you can do is to eat carbs, sugars, fruits, any sweet natural or processed are the main causes of gout flair ups.

I did this diet since 2010 and for 3 months of those beginnings ive lost more than 70 lbs but was a bit unhealthy because i was eating on low proteins too so it was a bit of a crash diet

Thank you Victoria. I just had my first flare up over Easter, 2020. Don’t wish this on anybody. Been in the process of loosing weight. Close to sixty pounds so far. This diet makes sense. Not a big fan of pork, tolerate beef, lamb too expensive. What is killing me is the shellfish. Didn’t have it often so really enjoyed it when we did. However, if I can prevent that pain, I will. Couldn’t walk at all.
Guys. lost a ton of weight does not need to be hard (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice now. Get a popular lose weight diet plan called Custokebon Secrets (do a search on google). Thanks to it I’ve lost crazy amounts of fat. I should not even be talking about it cause I don’t want lots of other guys out there running exactly the same game but whatever. I’m just simply in a great mood right now and so I will share the wealth haha.

These are some nice snack, unfortunately the options for protein rich snacks are a little more limited in Belgium and it’s pretty expensive. That’s why I like to make my own protein cookies, bites and bars.
I think any long -term diet restriction is unhealthy for you, and difficult to stick with anyway. A balanced diet of natural foods that are not made in factory and exercise always works long term. Low Carb/Low Fat work short-term for many, but I ALWAYS hear about people gaining back the weight. There is no “magic” diet other than natural foods eaten in moderation and in balance.

So discussion wise, let’s get more high protein low carb details in here! I personally love ground beef burgers, no bread and a salad. Also love chicken! I marinate mine for 24 hours and then cook up a whole 8lb pack at one time for easy access. Eat it with a salad, shred it, add it to burgers or my favorite. Chicken for breakfast with eggs. Oh, a well formulated low carb diet meets all 27 essential nutrients, including fiber… but still wants grains. Grains are the issue with how the body metabolizes… boy, they just can’t get reality, can they?

I make my own bacon it’s easy it’s cheap and taste better than the store bacon. Five or six days of curing and then I smoke it to 155°. Pancetta is similar to bacon just requires different spices and longer curing.
Hard boiled egg whites… I fill them with things like hummus or chicken salad.. and I use them to bulk up my salads.
Nobody ever mentions the strategy to cycle both. Best of both worlds. Same long-time effect. Why are people so attached to a dietary strategy as if it were a social identity is beyond my reason.
