How to Help Your Child Maintain a Healthy Weight. Changing your child’s eating and exercise habits means changing your own as well. After all, you’re in charge of what your child eats at home and how much exercise they get outside of school. Plus, you are their role model! If you exercise and eat nutritious foods, your child will see that and follow suit.

Hello Dr, I’m enjoying your information on Phentermine. I weigh 166lbs and I have high blood pressure. I’ve taken Amlodipine 5mg BID for the past 2 years.. My blood pressure still fluctuates but mostly my readings have been around 130/83 or so. I seem to really be affected by salt and caffeine. I have gone off caffeine and I’m limiting my salt now. I do think that my weigh is a big contributor to my HBP.
Today I took half of my Phentermine 37.5 mg. and I feel a tiny bit revved up but I have no problem sitting still and no anxiety to report. I am on the lookout for changes to my blood pressure as I begin this new drug. I test at home. Do you recommend any particular HBP med that seems to work well with Phentermine? If so, I will ask my doctor about it. I am seeing two different doctors, one for the Phen and one for the HBP.
Another question: you mentioned three different doses of Phen. What is the lowest dose that can still be effective? Would a low dose be better for someone like me who has high blood pressure?

If a kid has stretch marks and cellulite will that eventually go away if they lose weight, or will it scar?

Ok I have a problem and I need help. I am 14 and 230lbs. OBESE. But, it isnt that simple. About 2 years ago I was around 175 and 5’6, so not OBESE, but I was still overweight and I was getting bullied. I started going on a diet and exercising every day, but I still was getting called names. After about a month where I had lost 5 pounds in a healthy way, my best friend made fun of me behind my back about my weight. So I stopped eating…. for a year. I was FINALLY a normal weight! Everyone around me was telling me to eat. I was anorexic, but I looked completely normal. I started getting treatment and I wasn’t allowed to go on the scale. I could see I was getting bigger. Even though I wasn’t overeating or anything. I was only eating like 100 calories a day. I recovered for like 4/5 months. And nowwwww I am obese. And the only way i can loose weight is by completely starving myself. HELP ME. My metabolism is ruined.

I will try this i always get fun mad of me cause im just above the avarage wieght. To be fair if you saw me in real life you wouldnt even think im tgat fat but i still do get alot of discrimination. This makes me sad. And to be fair im never happy due to the restrictions of what i can eat. For example i have a restricked amount if watermelon slices i have. Lets see if this helps and get me out of depression! Also a sidenote i had asthma since i was born, does this mran i was born to be fat?

I used to be 185 lbs I started fasting and working out I lost a lot of weight now I’m 154 lbs.

Encouriging healthy eating? I am the mom and I decide what I buy and if they want something between te meals they have to ask me. Just let them to drink water, no soda, it is poison. Fruit you have to chew, not drink. No deep fried food, that is for party’s only and only a normal portion. Just be conscious. Don’t feel sorry that you say no to your child because you create unhappy adults from your children if they always got in childhood what they wanted. When mature they also can’t always get what they want so learn them to deal with it now already. This is the lifestyle I grew up with, that was not for weight control but it was general lifestyle from everybody in my country because 40 yrs ago already it was known that healthy food is important. As a parent you stop your child from doing unhealthy and dangerous things.

Do not listen to this, this is really problematic advice. Sure, focus on healthy whole foods. DO NOT use the word junk food! No food is inherently good or bad. She literally uses the word BRAIN WASH! What the hell?!
What I would advise is when shopping for your kids, don’t buy sodas, raise them eating nutrient dense foods. Raise them doing sports, but don’t label any foods as good or bad this is SOOO toxic. Generally, (in the absence of some sort of medical disorder) when kids do not feel deprived of certain foods, they do not crave excessive amounts of foods that are devoid of nutrients. Whereas, when there is this sort of novelty around food, kids feel deprived, thus encouraging them to engage in these cycles of binging and restricting.
I was anorexic for 2 years and almost died. I am truly hurt from videos like these!!
Bottom line is teach your kids to eat to feel good. Urge them to eat minimally processed foods that are less hyper palatable, but never shame them for eating treats when they feel like it. Always encourage your kids to try new foods and lead by example. Keep them in touch with their own hunger and fullness cues and promote intuitive eating!
Some kids may eat more sugary processed foods and not notice any adverse effects, while others may feel better eating more fruits and veggies. All foods are fine in moderation. Please please please do not promote this sort of dietary information. It is deadly!
