Treadmill and Heart Rate Monitor Tutorial
Video taken from the channel: H L
Heart Rate Workouts on the Treadmill Depending on the treadmill model, you can either have the heart rate control maintain a consistent and targeted heart rate, or you can also set it for interval heart rates, training in different zones. You can program the treadmill for desired workouts that vary the heart rate to your desired goals.Treadmill manufacturers have developed sophisticated systems to monitor and control heart rate during training. These features allow users to create a unique preset heart rate profile—and then control the speed and/or the gradient of the treadmill based on those needs and goals.
Heart rate control uses data from the pulse monitor to adjust workout speed and intensity based on the user’s heart rate. This automatic adjustment helps ensure that a trainee gets the maximum benefit from each session. It takes the guesswork out of judging when to speed up or slow down. Landice treadmills, Smooth treadmills, and Epic treadmills are among the many treadmill brands now featuring heart rate.
On treadmills the handgrip heart rate control requires holding on to stationary handlebars. It is awkward for walking, and just not feasible when you are running. There is only one type of heart rate control that makes sense, and that is wireless.
With wireless control you attach a strap around your chest and your heart rate is fed to the console.Heart rate was transmitted from the treadmill to the PC via the serial link and read into the simulink real-time control model at the rate of 1 Hz. At each controller sample instant, i.e. every 5 s, the 5 heart rate samples obtained in the preceding 5-s sample. If you prefer easy exercise, work at 50 to 70 percent of your maximum heart rate.
If you want a moderate intensity, work at 70 to 80 percent and if you desire a high-intensity workout, work at 80.”Increase it to the point where your heart rate speeds up and you start to breathe heavy,” Brown says. For most people, that speed is between 3.5 and 4.0 mph. Strengthen or tone your legs or butt: An incline treadmill workout will make your lower-body muscles work harder.
Treadmill workouts are the top class category on Aaptiv and range in skill levels so You can also add a heart rate monitor for more data. The display is a little clunkier and hard to navigate.Your maximum heart rate is about 220 minus your age. 3 In the age category closest to yours, read across to find your target heart rates. Target heart rate during moderate intensity activities is about 50-70% of maximum heart rate, while during vigorous physical activity it’s about 70-85% of maximum.
Heart Rate on the Treadmill Typically, walking on the treadmill at speeds slower than 3 mph will get you to the right heart-rate zone for a light cardio workout, while walking between 3 mph and 4.5.This treadmill comes equipped with heart rate contacts and a heart rate control chest strap that sends your heart rate information to the console, where automatic speed adjustments ensure you get the maximum benefit from each session. The Cleveland Clinic recommends that, during exercise, your target heart rate should be 60 to 80 percent of your maximum heart rate.
To calculate your target heart rate, deduct your age from 220. Then multiply that number by 60 and 80 percent 80 percent for a more intense exercise and 60 percent for a less intense exercise.A computer-controlled treadmill and related data collection and processing systems have been developed for the control of heart rate during treadmill exercise. Minimizing deviations of heart rate.TRUE Fitness recognized the power of Heart rate monitoring and patented a revolutionary fitness program known as, HRC Cruise Control™.
TRUE HRC Cruise Control™, found on all TRUE treadmills, ellipticals, and exercise bikes, allows you to lock in on your targeted heart rate.Heart rate training uses your heart rate or beats per minute (bpm) as a guide for intensity. Instead of training at a specific pace (i.e. treadmill speed in mph), you use a heart rate monitor to train your cardiorespiratory system to work at a specific intensity for a set amount of time.
To get an optimum workout it is important to pace yourself.

i did it today n completed 6 km it burned 533 calories.. i m so proud of myself i feel great n will continue this whole week
Thanks for this, I’m struggling to keep my heart rate down.. so frustrating… my MAF is 143 and I can only manage 500m or less before my HR goes over that even with a very slow pace. I feel 100% comfortable.. can talk and hold conversation but he HR sits around 160-165 bpm. I guess I will try the run and walk which I don’t like “ego thing” =)..
Does this wrist device, using optical tech really do the job? Can it measure, accurately, up to the second or two, the heart rate as well as a chest strap or upper arm band? How do we know it is accurate, and how accurate it is, especially in real-time?
Kudos for the Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about Dinanlinson Crazy Tactic Approach (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great one of a kind product for discovering how to use short burst interval training to get that beach body minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey finally got astronomical results with it.

Thank you for posting. My confusion has been cleared now. But how do I know what my target heart rate should be for the 1-minute high interval?
I love her voice since I bought my trademill machine I watch this video it’s perfect for me i have been burning every video between 100 to 125 calories!! she is perfect couch!!
after you burn the sugar reserve then what does it burn if you continue?! In your other video I heard you say your body burns sugar or fat. I train for long periods of time using HIIT training. What am I burning after 30 minutes, muscle?
It’s heavy, so be aware of that if you need to carry it up stairs or anything.>>> t.co/PO4roXwpDF But other than that, it’s perfect. It’s sturdy, which is good for me since I am 6′-6″. And it’s well made.
Is a heartrate of 182 dangerous to run with, Im twenty so my max heartrate is 200 and I have recently started running at very high altitudes.
Fantastic treadmill workout with Stefanie! ♀️♀️♀️ I incorporated this workout on Saturday’s after my 20 min 1/90 treadmill HIIT workout. I love thegymbox treadmill workouts, they have a workout that suits everyone’s workout level.
as a distance runner myself, I can say 9mph at 4% incline is pretty quick indeed. With a 4% incline 9 mph = 6.05/mile.
I really loved this workout!! Great job!! Ur awesome thanks so much!!!
Is it good for your heart to keep starting and stopping completely or is it better to slow down to a jog before stopping?
Appreciate Video! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about Dinanlinson Crazy Tactic Approach (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to use short burst interval training to get that beach body minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend Sam after many years got amazing success with it.

at least you like to work out sometimes you should push your self little more go 9 10 as far as you can I push my self all the time im at 10 mph I boost it up to 11.8 mile then 12 for final stretch or 13 now is too slow for me to push my self at 800 meter
Punishing personable professional performance. Please may I have another?
I really enjoy Stephanie, the time frame for her workout is just for me, any longer time or hill climbing is where I’m working my way to.
Stephanie is great! She lets you know what to expect and feel through out the entire workout. extremely easy to follow. Great motivator.
Did this yesterday and thought I was going to die but I did it. Thanks Shelly
Give the proper and exact answer…everyone…bla bla bla do this, do that, this will do this, this help that..that helps that…and where is the exact answer…?!
OMG! I found my workout. I am not a outside person. My rheumatoid arthritis dictates what I can do today tomorrow in any other day. Especially when the weather changes. But finding this workout for the treadmill. How you got me through the workout I love it
Thank you
I did my first workout on the treadmill with Stefanie today. It was a bit hard for me, but I will be back tomorrow!
