I tried the nachos recipe everyone in my house loved it. I added a few different ingredients though, I used some chia seeds and homegrown chia sprouts as well:P

I just made the curry and it’s super good! Swapped Coriander for parsley, fresh ginger for powdered, and kale for spinach. Used a full can of coconut oil, drained chickpeas, and diced tomatoes and eyeballed the rest.

I attempted the first recipe. It came out nicely. This coming from someone who has virtually no experience cooking; this is pretty much the first recipes I have ever attempted to follow (I’m not joking). The most difficult part was finding all the items at the grocery store. Is coconut milk different than full fat coconut? Also I think the diced tomatoes I bought are more watery in the can so it caused the curry to be more watery. Other than that it came out very nice and was actually super easy to cook and prepare.

I’m thinking about doing your 2 week shred challenge… and if I make it through that I’m going to do your summer shred challenge… I just need to do it… I actually did do the first day video of 2 week shred.. I only got through halfway… I got kind of weak wrists and I was wondering how I can keep them from hurting or how to build them up to where I can stand it… or what stretchy to do before work out?.. I really need to get into shape.. and thank you for providing us with these workouts… I’ve been watching videos of people doing these workouts and the results are amazing… so I really want to look good with toned body for once in my life… and have more confidence in myself…

I want so bad to make your meals but my husband refuses to eat veggies except green beans and it’s so frustrating! no i’m not comfortable counting carbs. matter of fact i suck at counting EVERYTHING. i eat when i’m hungry and avoid stuff that makes me feel disgusting. that’s about it. i balance my foods every day and try not to overdo 1 type of food. i drink MAYBE 1 pop 3 days out of the week, and maybe 1 glass of juice 1 day out of the week…. yet i still just got diagnosed with GD.:/ i eat out ONCE a week, trying to keep eating out to only TWICE a MONTH, yet still got GD.:/ My weight gain is on track and so is baby’s growth, yet… here we are. I don’t get it. The diabetes wasn’t enough thus far to leak over into my urine the glucose has been at 0 as well as the ketotones, which i was told by a nurse i work with would be high if i had GD >> sooo I don’t know what’s going on for me to “have GD”. hopefully recipes like yours, Jess, will help me eek through the last couple months of pregnancy if the Docs are right, which I think they are erroneous IMO, but whatever LOL i’ve never been one for “dieting”. I don’t “Diet”. i CHANGED my diet entirely about 8-9 years ago, and eat intuitively mostly, balancing out types of foods & just not overdoing anything, never overindulging. over-eating 1 type of food makes me backslide BADLY, so “dieting” & “restricting” doesn’t work for me. it makes my cravings worse.
Worst of all, most of the foods on healthy lists are expensive peanuts alone are too expensive much less healthy nuts. We have a budget of $90 and below on our grocery bill, which i try to stretch as much as possible, so always staying away from processed boxed pasta meals or what have you isn’t always easy. other than that, i’m not ALWAYS eating pasta, and barely ever eat bread. i don’t get a whole lot of veggies unless they are canned, same with fruit, because to have those on hand don’t always work outuntil now. Pregnant with my 2nd, I am CRAVING salads, but buying all the salad fixin’s is expensive too, you’d be surprised how it adds up. so i don’t do it every week. i just BALANCE.
I’ve been taking FISH OIL as opposed to eating fish since so many fishes have mercury levels i’d rather just AVOID than worry. and i take my prenatal. i have NO other health problems, no problems with my BP and no other meds i’m on.
anywho, i’m probably pre-diabetic/borderline more than anything, but i go to my ‘education class’ on monday & the OB on thurs after 3 days of testing my blood 4x a day.. so this should be interesting. i half feel like they are just trying to swindle me out of my money, i’m that borderline. my first glucose test, the Dr in the group i’d gone to, said it was okay to eat before taking it… WRONG. but still, 131 when the healthy range ENDS at 130 (literally) isn’t bad for having eating at 5:30 am, drink that drink at 8:30 and get blood drawn at 9:30 now is it? LOL Then my 3 hour test failed at hour 2 and 3 at hour 2 it was 1 point (only 1 point) above the healthy range, and hour 3 it was 5 points over the healthy range. Stillnot too bad considering. That test, i indeed fasted & did as told. I’m a stickler like that. Yet here I am with GD. i don’t get it, but whatever.
PS my first son -i had NO GD, my wt was on track as was his growth, and he weight 5 lb 1 oz at 41 weeks gestation and needed inducing. had a C-Section due to “not progressing” (was only 2 cm for 24 hours or more). he was looking to the side, too which doesn’t help. and my pelvis was too small. so i’m getting a c-section THIS time as well simply b/c my pelvis is too small. in any case, i have a feeling this baby will be under or at healthy weight no matter what, because i don’t overdo stuff and DO eat balanced already, as much as possible anyhow, seeing as how with my son i ate out 2 out of 3 meals, drank 1-2 pops a day EVERY day, and DIDN’T get GD (I had him at age 33 and i’m 37 now). So the ONLY risk factors I SEE, are i was slightly over weight at pregnancy’s start & i’m 37. otherwise, everything i’ve done this time is healthier than with my son (who isn’t overweight, is short & skinny, & has a good appetite but doesn’t overeat & we don’t even ALLOW lots of carbs if we can keep from it, candy, not too many fats at all, and NO soda and NO juice. he doesn’t even get juice boxes. he only drinks water & milk (which i do too when i’m home).

I don’t understand why is everyone complaining with the fact that maybe it hasn’t help or they just think it won’t help them. Maybe it has work for some and not for others because of they actual nutrition or because their systems aren’t working in the same way. I just made the peanut butter cookies. I didn’t want to use a blender so I mixed the wet ingredients with a whisk but the mixture was became really viscous in comparison to the runny mixture in the vid. also I used all purpose flour instead of wheat flour. when I mixed the wet and dry, my dough was superrrrr crumbly so I added 1 more tbsp of honey and 1/4 more tsp vanilla extract. I’m not sure what role my flour choice or the viscous wet mixture contributed to that…anyway I put the dough in a conventional oven instead of an actual bigger oven and I baked them for 20 mins and the cookies were actual ROCKS. i don’t even think they expanded in size at all. I think it’s my fault for not paying attention to stopping the baking process when the cookies turn golden brown bec the bottom of the cookies were a bit burnt…but they were sooo absent of sweetness that I ended up eating them with vanilla ice cream/peanut butter/nutella so next time imma just use a regular recipe
the good news is that I can just crumble up the rest of my cookies into bread crumbs for any next dessert I make

These desserts are NOT healthy at all. All of these recipes contains flour wich is one of the foods you not allowed to eat if you want to lose weight.. and the honey also contains lots of sugar. If you want to lose weight you should not eat any carb ( flour or sugar as in these recipes).

In my opinion, these recipes are not outstandingly low in calories and I know that there are many recipes that offer way less calories for tastier and bigger desserts. I get the fact that it’s impossible to make cakes that are like 0 calories but I don’t think that this video actually showed good and useful recipes if you want to lose weight. The portions for each serving are tiny as hell and there are a lot of calories for a very small amount of food. I don’t think this is a good video. I’m currently on a diet and I know about the calories deficit etc. I’m not restricting myself at all, I’m just eating healthier but I wish I had some good recipes to help me being more motivated but this clearly isn’t in this video that I will find what I’m searching for. I find those small portions very dangerous because they tempt you to binge and it’s really not what you want when you’re on a diet.

these deserts will still help with weight loss cuz they get rid of cravings and they can be filling for less calories than normal deserts. Just remember to count your calories and macronutrients.
One of the most delicious recipes I know is the banana pancake it’s healthy and delicious all you need is 2 eggs, beat them. Smush a medium sized banana and add it to the egg. Cook it like you are making a pancake and make sure you put it generously and you can make 2 large yummy pancakes that taste like banana cake. I love to add lemon but you can add whatever you would like as there are hardly any calories:)
Crepes-8 grams of sugar
Banana cake-11 grams of sugar
Brownie-7 grams of sugar
Peanut butter cookies: 10 grams of sugar..

Kinda sad how many nutrition experts we have in the comments saying you can’t lose fat without exercising?! Lies. The whole point of weight loss is to be in a caloric deficit, meaning you eat less than you burn. To know how many calories you need to sustain your weight, calculate your BMR and count calories from activies throughout the day. If you do not exercise at all, the average BMR is around 2000 calories. For example if your BMR is 1800, you need to eat 300-500 calories less. You can go further if you can persist, but don’t go below 1000 as that is too dangerous for your health. Exercise isn’t what makes you lose weight. It’s a tool to help. If you eat 2000 calories and burn 150 through exercise, you’ll lose 7*150 Calories a week, which in total is a third of calories in half a kilogram ( 500g/1pound is 3,500 Calories) That means, weight loss is 80% food, 20% exercise.
