My name is Margaret Karcher, DO and on behalf of the non-profit Health4TheWorld. We are an online medical education platform, and we are in the process of recruiting lecturers for our global partners. I want to extend an invitation to attendings with direct experience caring for COVID-19 patient and Critical Care Doctors to lecture. These lectures would be streamed live to audiences of residencies and physicians at our partner sites in Asia, Africa, and South America, then uploaded to youtube and our lecture library for access by anyone.
We've reached out to some ID docs, epidemiologists, and Pulm/CC docs individually and lined up some great speakers, but we would also like to have people who could really speak aspects of diagnosing, triaging, and caring for large volumes of COVID-19 patients.
If you are a Radiologist, ER doctor, Internist, or Critical Care doctor who has been working with large case volumes of COVID-19 patients, please consider sharing the experience. We'd welcome anyone from China, Italy, Korea, Iran, or the West Coast. We are HIPAA compliant, so the number of cases you have seen must be significant enough to provide anonymity for patients.
As other specialties are being "drafted" into caring for critically-ill patients, we'd like to sure up our collection of critical care lectures. We are looking really great educators from academic medical centers here to cover basic topics like SIRS, septic shock, ARDS, Mechanical ventilation. That way a pediatrician, orthopedic surgeon, or outpatient practitioner rusty on dealing with critically-ill and complicated patients could get a reliable and current overview of these topics.
There are also some more niche topics that are becoming relevant, and we are looking for people who have published on these topics or have considerable experience with them: Prone Ventilation, ECMO in medical settings, and Epidemiology of COVID-19
