I made a mistake…I said that avidin decreases the absorption of vitamin B6, not true…The truth is: Avidin prevents absorption of vitamin B7 (Biotin)

Vitamin B4: can refer to the distinct chemicals choline, adenine, or carnitine. Choline is synthesized by the human body, but not sufficiently to maintain good health, and is now considered an essential dietary nutrient. Adenine is a nucleobase synthesized by the human body.

I can’t help but laugh when he pointed out anal fissures. Really due to b2 deficiency or some rough play?
There is very little B2 in nutritional yeast, at least in the Sari Foods variety. I found there is much more in Spinach. Also NT in yogurt is awful! It is much better sprinkled over salads, casseroles, and cheesy dishes. It might also do well in a keto bread recipe.
Wow.. I see these videos even though I don’t have them in my syllabus…
Interesting
besides brewers yeast are there any other good sources of the vitamin

So, everyone is short of RDA unless they eat 4 handfuls of almonds?
Does Hybetez Remedy (do a google search) help me fix my high blood pressure issue inherently? I notice many people keep on speaking about this high blood pressure treatment.
Thank you for this video! I just wanted to mention, you mentioned using Nutritional Yeast to get B2, but I buy the brand you usually suggest (Sari Foods Nutritional Yeast) which I LOVE by the way! Although, when I looked at how much B2 it has (which you suggested 1 tsp, I take 1 TBSP every day), and per TBSP it has only 2% of DV (0.024mg). So I thought I would mention for others here a few high B2 (Riboflavin) foods:)
Beef liver3 oz2.9mgover 100% DV
Lamb3 oz3.9mgover 100% DV
Mushrooms1/2 Cup0.23mg14% DV
Spinach1/2 Cup0.21mg12% DV
Almonds1 oz0.323mg19% DV
Salmon (wild)3 oz0.135mg8% DV
Eggs1 large0.22813% DV (not sure if this is pasture raised eggs numbers)
Just got these off Google! Thought it may be helpful!:) Have a wonderful day!:)

It would be helpful if you let us know which gene defect. I suspect it’s the warrior gene involving a slow MAO enzyme which needs riboflavin as a cofactor along with magnesium to make this enzyme work better to enable the body to breakdown adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin more efficiently so it doesn’t build up and cause high bp as well as possible mood instability such as high anxiety and irritability, migraines etc… Some people with slowed MAO may need to go a step further and go on a low tyramine diet.
I suspect i have this genetic variant as i responded really well to 100mg of riboflavin. Very interesting video, thank you.
Is there any difference between variuos brands of B2 like any supplements being synthetically manufactured etc?
I hate migraines had a few my life, wish I knew more back then.
Also can cause low iron or iron that doesn’t go up despite high iron foods (carnivore) or supplementation.

How much B2 do you take and what foods? I don’t consume too much grains, etc… but problem with lips, tongue and sinustitus. I eat lots of veggies and salads and greens. 2 doctors didn’t diagnosis B2 defficinency and now supposed to see a dermatologist. I think it’s B2. I am a senior person.
Hey dr. Berg
I did a DNA genome and it came up with rs6323 TT and it says vitamin b2 can help with the MAOI that is deficient? Please let me know what you think.
I love your videos. Very educational. Thank you for researching and putting all the information out in very practical manner.
Can cracked fingers, thumbs Also be included in this? My husband’s fingers and thumbs crack and bleed in the winter months
I didn’t know that cracked heels, and lips were part of that.
Vitamin B2 supplements help my son with severe migraines. It really works for him. He can get low in B2 from being in the sun a lot. But the migraines are from other issues. Also, the herb Butterbur helps with migraines.
I take a multivitamin and I just realized it doesn’t have vitamin B2 in it. It has some of the other B vitamin but not B2. Now I know why I have chap lips.
This guy gets to point. No rambling and rubbish
Excellent work.
Thank you Dr Berg.
Sir, you said to take 1 spoon of sari’s foods nutritional yeast. But it has only 2% vitamin B2. And they have mentioned 16g for 2spoons. So, in one spoon we will get on 0.16mg from it in one spoon. When i googled the daily needed value of B2 it showed 1.7mg/1.8mg in some sites and 1.1mg for women on another site. Then how will we be able to get the essential amount of B2 from this nutritional yeast?
hi.dr. i m nutrionist from iran. tnx your lectur. I wish some i will be your student
Doc I like you you’re great at what you do but I hate when you start talking fast and you’d done it in most of your clips
Please your mention what nutritional yeast but it was not perfectly clear which one is correct?
Eric I just used FitnessGenes with my 23&ME data and it says i need more B2 can B2 low be genetic?

These videos are really interesting, I wanted to go into a medical career when I was younger and so your content is fantastic:D.
Out of interest, how long does it take to make one of these videos? Is it quite easy because you know all the content already and just have to present / illustrate it?
Hi there, I want to know if Hybetez Remedy, will work for me? I notice a lot of people keep on talking about this high blood pressure treatment.
How come I can’t find your video on Vitamin B3? Or have you not made one yet? B3 deficiency is the one so many people are deficient in.
I bought a Vitastiq 2 Bluetooth pen and tested my vitamin and mineral levels. I found that I needed 50mg of B2 per day just to stay normal. No other deficiencies in vitamins or minerals have appeared.
Yup! Dr. Berg nailed it again for me. I did use Brewers Yeast for my
Vitamin B and a separate complex of B vitamins! And a plain B2
supplement. And it got rid of my red, tired, sore eyes!
Thanks Dr. Berg!
Nancy
Great video. As others have said…we know you meant to say “nutritional yeast” in the end. PS. I love nutritional yeast on popcorn.
Are there any books that would elaborate in detail on vitamin and mineral deficiencies similar to this video? I would love to have a book on hand that elaborates on all of this but finding one has been BEYOND difficult! Thanks!!
Unclear at end. Take nutritional yeast or brewers yeast for the b2
I literally have all the symptoms and thought they were normal lol..
Hi Eric I’ve been taking 100mg b2 supplement daily for 2years now for migrains.. I don’t think it’s helping much but I take it anyway and I notice within the past year or so I’ve been feeling very fatigued on and off during the day. Could I be overdosing and is that a side effect?
Dr berg I am 76 have tingling as well as numbness in the soles. In 2015 I got hip implanted after a road accident. Please suggest nutrition
This one didn´t work. I don´t eat grains, and I am B2 deficient.
I love Dr Berg’s videos, I watch one everyday to help me stay on track with my healthier lifestyle. I need to loose weight, I have low thyroid disease.
Doctor Berg I hope I can throw all my money at you once I get a job. You are the batman of the medical industry. I only say this out of pure respect
You made a mistake at the end you said ”NOT brewers yeast but BREWERS yeast.:)”
It is amazing I have been expiriencing these symptoms for quite some time. I will go and get some nutrional yeast and see if my symptoms get better. Thank you, for making this video.
You didn’t say why white flower creates a greater need for b2/ deficiency of b2.
Thank you so much! I was trying to figure out why my neurologist wanted me to take 400 mg of vitamin B2 a day. I have chronic migraines, so this explains it.
I get debilitating Migraine headaches and was told to take B-2, I seem to wake up with them. Could you please do a video on Migraine s?
What about unrefined grains like whole wheat flour or coconut flour?
B2 (Riboflavin) is water-soluble (boiling washes it away unless you drink the water), it is denatured by prolonged heat and quickly degrades under exposure to light. It is extremely difficult to obtain B2 these days because we no longer eat immediately after picking (fresh) or raw.
Hi Eric I eat a lot of foods with b2 vitamins but could relate to some symptoms shown here,Don’t really eat yeast products
You just named a bunch of symptoms that are caused by normal inconveniences like: lack of sleep, cold exposure, dry air exposure.
Dr. Berg, When you said B2 is in nutritional yeast not Brewer’s yeast not Baker’s yeast….then you mistakenly said, Brewer’s yeast, take some of that. Just thought you might want to know….or not:).
Hi Dr.Berg, You are mentioning about yeast, I live in Europe and I am not sure which one you mean, I can see that I have vitamin B2 deficiency based on symptoms you mentioned. Appreciate to say little specific about yeast. Thank you
How much B2 does the average adult take per da for bloodshot eyes? And for how long.
I have red eyes in the mornings, but later after an hour, the red eye goes away through. I have been staying away from wheat, soy, and grains. I am eating more vegetables and salads with less meat. I drink a veggie shake in the mornings with Kale, Beets, radish, mixed plant veggies, parsley with a banana. I’ll add a teaspoon of nutritional yeast in it every morning. But the red eyes are still there when I wake up in the mornings.
I don’t have any of the symptoms except cracked heals, really, really bad. I am wondering if we should have 2-3 of those symptoms in order to say we have a deficiency in B2. I am hoping your Cortisol formula will help.
Respect for all your work sharing knowledge for us. The media is dominated by actions of psychopaths, time people like Eric get more attention.
I have had extremely dry lips for months since starting Keto!
Any tips i would be so graleful to combat this.
can you overdose on nutritional yeast because i sprinkle it on everything now! i love the stuff! it was an excellent tip for us, Dr. Berg. i praise and thank the Lord Jesus for His grace in supplying our needs regarding this info via folks like you.
Your the best Doc i have come across by far, i wish i could drop by your clinic for a health check, But that would be lots of air miles lol!! Keep up the good work! ( i am the using Nutritional.yeast too)
I thought Quinoa was good due to all the minerals and vitamins. not sure about giving that up.
Hi Eric I was wondering what you thought of Aloe Vera natural juice from the plant jel not the new pop drinks.
Thanks
dave
Hello Dr. Berg. I eat soo healthy and well balanced meals and I’m getting it done right, but I constantly feel like crap except for when I wolf down a pizza..I feel like a million buck for about four days after. Why is this?
Oh my god my cracked lip corners are B2 deficiency? Is there just a B2 deficiency vitamin or does it only come from the yeast?
Dr Berg, i have read that nutritional yeast can act as a form of msg is there any truth to this? I take b vitamins daily and sometime use braggs nutritional yeast. i am a little concerned.
anyone with this deficiency either has a medical problem or a serious crappy diet.
Absolutely love information from qualified professionals regarding nutrition deficiency symptoms & the linking Nutrition/s. Love to see these videos. Thank you Dr Berg
I disagree with the fact that synthetic are bad. It’s the same chemical and should have same effect, especially when its hard to constantly keep track of foods you eat. You can take supplements multivitamins every day and have no issues.
Nutritional Yeast is only showing for B12, not B2 are you sure you have this correct? Thanks.
Thanks for making this video…you said brewer’s yeast in the end, but I know you meant nutritional yeast.
hi Eric,
after i took sublingual B12 for a few weeks 2 years ago i started getting terrible headaches and dizziness
things have improved but i havent fully recovered
experimentally i took a few drops of b12 recently and immediately started spinning out
i have tried many supplements to correct this problem
some help and some exacerbate it
i have tried liver detoxing and continue to take milk thistle daily
i find that l-glutamine powder helps also
l-glutathione liposome helps too
do you have any ideas on what else i could try to recover
thank you
