YOGA DOES FLUSH OUT TOXINS!! I MEAN IT!! IT CLEANSES BODY MIND AND SOUL
Well Yoga is not only Asanas. Asanas or the physical postures are just one limb of 8 limbs described by Patanjali in his famous Yoga Sutras. Your brain and body will absolutely change if you do Asanas everyday for a period of time but those are not the deepest changes. There are methods where you can follow the Yoga limbs to get to a place called Samadhi where then you can access to Samyama described in Yoga Sutras to change your perception completely. It is not hard but you need to follow a system methodically. I found that on Drukama ( check it out on Youtube and Fbook if interested ) but there are others that teaches that as well. These real Yogic systems work like a charm and you wouldn’t believe the change you see in yourself in just a matter of weeks. Blessings and thanks for the share!

One of the bad videos on yoga due to lack of research. You shouldn’t make a video if you haven’t done research. According to your video yoga is some normal exercise for flexibility. Hatha yoga description was not upto mark.
Why you give English names to yoga asanas.
Yoga means union of atma and parmatma. Asanas, pranayama etc different ways to attain yoga.
You can refer to videos of Sadhguru or read the Vedas.
Breathing through the mouth is not ideal. Also, people should learn to breath less. Look up the Buteyko technique or other similar knowledge.

My daughter was in competitive cheer for 4 years. Going into level 3 as a flyer (top girl) she would have panic attacks and started vomiting from stress, started on antidepressants, psychotherapy, the whole shebang. We obviously pulled her out immediately and she started meditating and dabbling in yoga. Now she loves it and is mentally stronger than ever!

I’m from India and I want to say that there is one practice that literally flushes out toxins. I don’t exactly remember the specific name but it comes under the “Neti Kriya” (Google it) and it involves drinking a special mix of stuff in the morning and then being only on hot water for the rest of the day.

I eat healthy doesn’t work, have tried Yoga didn’t work, have been working out hasn’t worked so far, I take colder showers cause apparently it’s better for mental health (hasn’t worked). Jesus would have been a master yogi teacher if this practice brought ones soul closer to God.. Never once did he remotely teach such a practice because it leads one away from our creator, God and Jesus his son. Yogi is all about self. God is all about others.
God is not a religion. He is a spirit who lives in the realm of perfectness trying to get his creation to follow but many are sadly lost due to wrong beliefs and teachings.
Jesus came to restore the path back to God and once you truly experience God thru Jesus you understand his purpose for us in this life. One then goes from darkness into light and is able to as Jesus say’s, see clearly.

WOW… I wanted to thank you for your inspiration insight!! I am currently in my last year of counselling and have been practicing yoga initially to heal both a physical injury but also to strengthen my mind.. and like so many surprises in life, I have been gifted with something a whole lot bigger than just a specific outcome. Wholistic… yoga has not just allowed my injured body to realign and heal but something magical has happened and happening beyond my functional neuroplastic brain… my soul connection and strength.. “Something that made me feel productive without working myself to the ground” yess!! I’ve emotionally and physically burnt myself out in the past until I have no desire to do anything! Recently, I’ve realized I need to pay attention to my body to prevent myself from getting to that stagnant stage. I’m allowing myself to heal with practicing yoga:) and not feeling guilty for not working out to the extreme.

Great great job! I have been at it for 30 days and I already notice many of the improvements you mentioned. I have had a similar journey with anxiety….but also depression. I am 24 and only in the past year I have started being physically active regularly. Mostly with online workouts, hit,Pilates and yoga in the mix. Also vegan for five years. It doesn’t solve the mental problems entirely but it gives us the tools to surf through them easier I feel, getting physical taught me that while things are challenging and scary with time,determination and taking it step by step persistently they are…surprisingly doable I wish you an amazing life!

Felt like this quarantine and corona scary time was gonna drive me mad. In spain we are in fully lockdown not even allowed to go for a walk. So i started yoga now over a month and a half ago.. and I truly feel it has saved me mentally. My anxiety levels have come down a lot! Very happy to have started this journey.

Out of curiosity, what do westerners do when they tell they do yoga, is it practicing the yoga poses or is it something more? We in india “practice” yoga. Not many people do it, because yoga means a way of life, a way for the union of the self with the self of the universe. It requires a lot of discipline, away from all the sensousness of life and at the same time not renouncing anything. Of course I am an absolute novic e and learnt a little about this by reading Bhagawad Gita while in quarantine and for me before starting yoga, it would be awesome if people read Bhagawad Gita and other philosophy related to what exactly is yoga and I am sure it will help a lot more. Just my opinion, no offense to anyone

Actually technically yoga and any type of exercise does release toxins, i get annoyed at these ppl claiming that is some far out there woo woo crazy talk. Yoga and exercise increases lymph flow. And the lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that are part of the circulatory system that help the body remove toxins, waste, dead blood cells, pathogens, etc. as part of our immune response. So imagine that all just sitting in your body? Bc all that junk moves slower when you don’t exercise.

This is an outstanding talk. I teach my yoga students to breathe at the beginning of each class. Can’t do breath retention with one pregnant student, but we do lots of deep, conscious breaths.

After yoga I go on hikes and do even more yoga in the woods and then I might even play basketball for a few hours like I can’t stop! I’ve also had this sudden random urge to learn belly dancing or some sort of Egyptian or ancient Indian dance and I just keep watching the videos on YouTube because I’m still like confused LOL

It is rather shocking how little attention this massive trend has gotten.
The real unspoken reasons are that we are viewed economically as nothing more than consumers, workers aren’t valued very much (especially those at the lower end of the economic ladder)we are considered expendable. Most jobs are unfulfilling. We have become completely disconnected from nature. Breathing can certainly help alleviate symptoms, and I do like the idea, but let’s be honest: it does nothing to address the disease.

Indian Yoga system has had a method called Pranayama for thousands of years. Prana means life giving air, and ayama is regulating… in otherwords Breath work… Must do excercise for everyone.
Why is he breathing through his mouth. All the other techniques I’ve seen stress the importance of breathing from your nose.
I believe this is my issue I’ve lost my brother a year ago and I’ve never really cried didnt go to his funeral and now I get all of this physical symptoms headaches my asthma is acting up more and I never thought of it to be grief i thought it was always something

Its 2020 now and what he said is so true with the pandemic. People are at a all time low. But again its in our own hands, once I got rid of most of my social media everything changed. We have to realize our happiness doesn’t depend on outside external sources but in ourselves.

Yoga was first practised by Lord Shiva (AdiYogi = The First Yogi) He taught it to his 7 disciples called the Saptarishi Uttaradhikari (The Seven Great Sages) and that’s how its knowledge spread across Bharat (India)

Yoga is a Hinduism practice far before buddhism existed. Buddha himself was born in a Hindu family. He took his training from Hindu Yogis and later taught it to his disciples. And China has nothing to do with origin of yoga.

I have been doing this since 1999. Its great.
I add one other thing. When you let your air out, go til you are completely emptying your lungs of air (diaphragm in) hold for a few seconds, then slowly take a breath in.
I call it square or rectangular breathing when I meditate or just use it for breathing exercise.
Example: 3 seconds inhale, 3 sec hold your breath, 3 sec exhale, 3 sec hold stomach diaphragm in and 3 sec inhale.
Or 5 sec inhale, 3 hold, 5 ex, 3 hold then 5 inhale.

(Psychiatric) drugs that solve problems aren’t bad. I think it would be wise to use them as models. For example, figure out why you like being drunk or smoking weed, then figure out how to cultivate what you like without using the drug.
Alcoholism is in my family because anxiety is in my family. I took the aspects of being drunk that I liked and figured out what was getting in the way of me having those aspects while sober.
There’s a reason drugs are called “plant teachers” in some non-western cultures.
this is very true, my counsellor tried to get me to meditate all the time while I was suffering ptsd, it was impossible, and I felt a failure.
