Hi again Everyone! I know since I first started Posting, the subject of “gluten-free” (and additive free) HOT-DOGS has come up. Thanks to several of you on the Forum Board here, I have done some research into the dilemma of us “hot-dogs” lovers Many of my questions were answered in regards to eating out and wanting a hot-dog (without the BUN of course!) and which “dogs.

Absolutely love this channel, thanks for being so creative and sharing! ❤️
I am vegan and I am not a young person but I could live on hot dogs!:-)
Finally made these a few days ago. They tasted great but due to them being rather DENSE they were not great for splitting and sliding a hot dog inside and then try to pile other goodies on top. SO…. what I did was I cut them on the WIDEST part at an angle down toward the middle and stopped about 1/4 inch from the bottom then slid my knife under those two cut and into the bun to remove a channel of “bread”. Wiener fit well, other toppings had room and no buns split.
Wow! My mouth is watery! I’m going to have to try these out for myself! What a better time than Memorial Day! I will have to make my own version and post it on my channel! ❤️
Bhavna, I love your recipe!!! I can’t wait to try it! I am gluten intolerant (leaky gut) so I use only almond and coconut flour (not wheat, and not rice or oats b/c they also contain gluten just not wheat gluten). I am also a breast cancer survivor (was diagnosed with so called hormone positive cancer) so I don’t use soy (plant estrogen/hormone), but I can use lentils or peas or eggs for protein.
could you try making sushi & “chicken” wings vegan versions please this video was really good!
I started making these and somehow ended up with beef stew….???
I’m gonna give this a whirl! I use mace instead of nutmeg in my hot dog The difference is subtle, but mace works better for me in a savory dish.
Yeah I tried the carrot thing and it just did not come out right. After, 3 days marinating and a lot of effort, it didn’t work out
Hi Anne! I wanted to let you know, I just made a video on how to make mac and cheese, I used gluten free pasta, and gluten free bread, and I thought you may enjoy it, haha! Here’s the link! How to Make Barbecued Chicken in the Oven! | Noah Greene Cooking
Looks incredible! Would it fall apart of it were deep fried? (I have no concern for my well being)
Mmm, these are my absolute favorite thing to nosh on at a fair. You’ve inspired me to make this at home for myself, Anne!!
I’m going to have to look at the recipe when I get home, I can’t get it to pull up at work. However, the buns turned out amazing looking, and I can’t wait to try these. Great idea about the mini pie tins!
Small scale class is better, the teacher can focus to the kids more.
so according to instruction #8.. I need to serve each hot dog with an extra hot dog…. now, if the extra hot dog counts as its own hot dog, it then needs to be served with its own extra hot dog.. which means I need to serve an infinite amount of hot dogs
Thanks for this, I would never go near a regular hot dog in the store. Because they’re nothing but garbage.
I made vegetarian Chile dogs tonight: but I just used fried tofu shaped to fit a whole grain hot dog bun. So good! I’m looking for. More real looking dog though
Thank you
When my daughter was young, our special summer trip was up to Storyland NH, we’d always get a Corndog and oh, did we love them. When she was diagnosed celiac, that treat was one of many that was gone, I also would not get them since we couldn’t share,. Well, she’s all grown up now, but I’m excited about having her over and surprising her with a corn dog! Thank You!
I JUST MADE THIS. EVERYONE PLS MAKE THIS RIGHT NOW. THIS IS SOOOOO GOOOD!!
Unfortunately im also allergic to corn so i had to stop immediately
my mom said we could but she needs to find gluten free sausage and something else she said
I think her husband looks like Kang Haneul when he smiles
Not 100% alike but the similarity is there
Who agrees with me?
3:40 whos the girl on the bottom left?
Isnt she in the return of superman?
I loved corn dogs as a child, I still like them but I’m going to try this recipe using GF Bratwurst. I probably need to cook them first since they’re not already cooked as some hot dogs are.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING YOUR YUMMY RECIPE AND DIRECTIONS UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE IT FOR LATER THANK YOU SO MUCH
Ya…vegan hotdog…with all the salt and chickpea, flour, mustard, sos etc etc…it will be around 500 calories…hemmmmn
Bhavnaji can this recipe be steamed, and then be frozen to make them on grill later time?
Did you find that 25 minutes was long enough to get them not be Doughie in the center these look awesome thank you for sharing your idea on how to shape them
Wow… I am going to try these, thanks for posting this. My daughter likes hot dogs and I am sure this is going to make her a vegan fan..

Damn, I thought you were going to tell us about those delicious looking toppings too
they look great Anna, I would probably eat 3 or 4, i love that you added some hot sauce, I never had a spicy corn dog before, I have to make these soon!! thanks for sharing!
Fantastic recipe, will try this for my children’s after school snack
I’ve never actually had these but now I’m tempted to try them out. Thanks for the video and recipe Anne.
I love this recipe, sending the link to my daughter:) Thanks Anne!!!
Your recipe is the best of all the gluten free corn dog recipes I found and tried. I’m not gluten free but my two young daughters are by the insistence of their mother who is my ex-wife and also a psychotic narcissist. Anyway, every year for my girls basketball teams I makeup a few dozen of these and bring them for after the games. When the girls see me come in carrying that big food warmer they know it’s corn dog day and they’re so excited. Skip two other people watching this. In my experience the batter should be thinner than a shown when she first dumps it into the tall glass. Make sure your oil is at least 365-380 before you put the dogs in otherwise you stand to lose some batter.
Good recipe but please do something about the voice modulation.
Yo también me acabo de comer unos deliciosos hot dog vegetarianos que yo misma compré con mi propio dinero.! Saben buenos! Rico
This is SO smart! I’ve been looking for the perfect mold for hot dog buns. This is a great, inexpensive way to do that. Will definitely be trying this recipe soon. I love that you measure in grams. I used to do cups, but now I convert every recipe to grams. Very accurate and produces the same results each time.
Thank you for the video I was wondering myself if I got the procedures right… yup totally vegan
Thank you for sharing. I absolutely love it, the instructions are clear, the kitchen and equipment are well organized and look clean.. food.. wonderful food
I have a stupid question… can I use that same mix for meatloaf just adding more meatloaf spices!! I miss my meatloaf and mashed potatoes!!
Wow! What a great idea! The molds you made worked! The ice cream scoop was a big help in filling them. I have molds for hotdog buns. I need to try this recipe! It’s similar to the almond hamburger buns I made recently. Thanks so much sharing this!!
The prob with this recipe is she doesnt give clarity on the flour at all. That means a lot of people fail! I saw this recipe that someone else had made and basically you have to use vital wheat gluten which you buy in health shops, not standard flour. If she’d just been a bit clear, it would probably make more sense. She’s basically made something called Seitan. Her recipes look good but her descriptions and method of describing are somewhat inaccurate.
May be I have seen this family in the return of Superman with Jang beom family…. little girl was with Hada having chocolate stick.
This is indeed wonderful can we use unprocessed or whole soy bean and mill into flour without considering the toxins in the coat???
Your simple, no fuss method to making the veggie sausages was the easiest for me to follow out of all the videos I’ve watched.
Amazing receipe! But can you do something about your audio? It’s so hard to listen to even though I really like your energy:)
Since I’m both soy-intolerant and gluten free, I’m totally going to try this with oat flour in place of soy flour, and coconut aminos in place of soy sauce. They look delicious, and I’ve been dying to eat a ‘hot dog’ this summer!
Oh my I’ve got to try this, because before I stopped eating meat I enjoyed a good hot dog and this looks scrumptious and easy to make.
Thankyou so much. My husband and I are elated to have this recipe due to my gluten/dairy restrictions. I’m so excited to be making these along with your gluten free funnel cakes:) thanks for the recipes.
Your english sucks you’re trying to pronuce like english people
ARE BAKED BEANS LOW CARB? I WILL BE MAKING THE BUNS. THEY LOOK AWESOME.
oh my gosh! they’re using Super Simple Song!! which I’m currently using for my niece and nephew to learn english! until now, they’re still listening to those songs!
Still the best recipe on you tube:) Thank you, I will be making them again soon
They should open a cafe too with his gluten-free recipes and coffee!
Liquid smoke really makes it taste realistic especially when marinated prior to cooking
Anne, I am not a even a small fan of corndogs…However, these look great! I may, not sure, but may try this,:)
Fantastic, will definitely try these this weekend. Thank you for the recipe.
Nicee! Simple ingredients, easy to make and looks delicious!!! Thank you
Anna when Bryan was a little boy he was “addicted to Corn Dogs” Before I was GF I didn’t even think about trying to make them homemade,,, now I wish I did,,, what a super easy recipe and I love your idea of using the Glass to help swirl the batter all around the hotdogs,,, I’m a big ‘wimp’ when it comes to deep frying,,, after I made my second batch of Dandelion Fritters,,, I bought a deep fry thermometer,,, do you use a thermometer,, I feel I don’t have the experience to guess on my own,,, plus I use an electric flat range stove top,,,, and depending on the pan makes a big difference how hot the oil can get! I’m still craving your Funnel Cakes! 😉 Great job on the Corn Dogs!! hugs!!
I try yr vegi sausage n this Lil girl like it so much I had to make it again thanks
Looks soooo good!! I think they will work as burger patties as well
You keep talking and going on and on. Its boring to see u video
i will ask my mom to make these for me need to not worry tht i camt have gluten
I DONT GET IT WHY SOMEONE ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN WILL WANT TO BE VEGAN. This is disgusting
Hi Brenda, I have what I consider to be a very important question. First, Love the recipe, the buns both hamburger and hot turned out FANTASTIC! Love them. Now for my question, I live alone and don’t eat a batch of hamburger or hot dog rolls all in one sitting. How Long do these keep and what is the best way to store them. Please Help, I need these they are great. Thanks Al
Thank you for this recipe idea. I’ve been tempted to purchase soy flour but didn’t know what to do with it.
is this heater idli cooker?.is it something especially available?
I would use the hot sauce for sure! Tastiest looking corn dogs I’ve ever seen! Yum!
Keep coming back to this recipe. Made flat patties and loaf. Thank you!
delicious! delicious! delicious! delicious! Love IT you are the best!!!!
She has a beautiful soul. She also seems to like saying “hotdog” I’m sure this video will make a great drinking game. I’m pretty sure her cooking is probably fantastic.
This is brilliant. I’ve priced hot dog bun pans before and they are so expensive. This was so inventive. And I bet Chris is ecstatic to have a LC bun.
Also Hebrew National hot dogs are sold in packs of 7. I always thought that was odd but they’d be the perfect count for this bun recipe and they’re gluten free too. I’m definitely doing this one. I just have to get that psyllium husk.:)
actually even with the over-instruction you did not mention that you let the dogs cool off a bit before presentation, this is what us throwing alot of people off because they look wet coming right out of the steamer. I’m a fairly good cook so I figured it out. My dogs came out perfect, thank you so much! No more vital wheat gluten, but I used einkorn flour which is like spelt and garbanzo beans since I eat a fairly alkaline diet. The dogs were yummy!
Could you make burgers with the same dough veggies. It looks like chopmeat
Hi, lovely recipe. Can spelt flour be used instead of soy flour? Thank You in advance.
Nice recepie. Boiled red beans would have done wonders to this both color wise and protein content wise.
Omg yessss!!! I am so excited about this! Will most definitely be making these soon!
Funny, I was just thinking I should try making corn dogs sometime and this recipe popped up. I’ll have to try it out!
I love this idea. I didn’t know there was such a thing as gluten free vegan hot dogs. I watch all your videos and use your recipes daily. I was wondering if you could do some recipes to make for picnics this summer? ❤
Just trying to understand the purpose of a low carb hot dog bun if you turn around and eat beans? lol
HI…Very impressive
I’m wondering however, if there’s a reason for the yogurt in this recipe, I’ve never seen that ingredient in bread. Also, could there be a substitute for the yogurt. I’m on a Strict Ketogenic diet and yogurt (unless it’s Greek yogurt), is off limits for me. Not allowed on the Keto diet.
I modified it thus way and it turned out fantastic. Grated Monterey jack in a bowl, (about three cups grated) put couple teaspoons sour cream, 2 eggs, mixed together… cold. Added almond flour (about a cup and half)…with some baking powder one table spoon,…. and this is the secret.. I slowly added about 2 tablespoons of coconut flour until the “batter” got sticky and dough like.. the coconut flour continues to stick up moisture for awhile, kept my hands wet while forming the dough around the hot dogs… this case sumptuous Nathan all beef! Put in on parchment paper and baked about 20, 25 minutes at 375 in convection oven… turned out perfect, crunchy on outside really bread like consistency in the middle.. O don’t make it to thick to begin with.. rises a little. And these are very very filling. A couple was my only meal..all day.
can you take the hot dogs and turn them into to veggie patties as well
For everyone asking based on the ingredients listed I got the following macro count per bun:
5g NET Carbs
14g Total Carbs
9g Fiber
30g Fat
12g Protein
355 Calories
2 Glycemic Load
Aw, the intro was adorable! It’s gonna be in the 40s for the next two days, but I am looking forward to warm weather food, myself, so bring it on! These look so hearty, I just need to find some vegan hot dog buns. Unless your Vegan Everything Dough can make those too? ; ) TFP!
Just made these, didn’t have any of the small pie tins, but had some larger one so i just cut the bottom out, seem to work good.you had a great idea with the pans:-)) I make a Swedish breakfast bun thats pretty close.Thank so making the video.
Low carb?
About 4 tbsp of beans plus this thick bread…
…man, it seems that’s a real insulin spiker!
I think I would feel like I had a gas tank inside my stomach after a meal like that because this kind of bread is way havier…
But I really liked the recipe and the way you shape the bread…
…clever!!!
Its actually easier to teach a small group then a large group when it come to children that age. I worked in the teaching field that age and I gotta say its a bit hard to teach in a big group. Too much behavior issues and not enough help.
Wow I am really amazed. I will do this. Thank you for the recipe!
Personally Anne I think if you gave some of those to people that eat regular corn dogs with regular batter they would not be able to tell the difference. They look delicious!
Very cool hot dogs. I must try this recipe. Awsome video. Loved it.
You are the best. Thank you for responding so quickly. You have made my Night! Lol
I have made some already. They taste GREAT! and have good texture, just like bread. Now that I know how to store them, I am in almond bun heaven. You have a good night also and thank you again for the recipe and method on how to store them.
Please please make strawberry icecram this is my request to you please
They look great, I usually give my hot dogs a boil in some water to release some salt and fat, then I fry them with onions. I tried them without boiling them a bit, they were so salty, I think they taste better when they are boiled. I try not to eat to many hot dogs, they are not good for us, we go out of our way to make this healthy bread, and then eat hot dogs? I bought some expensive ones like the brand you have they were marked down so I put them in the freezer, but then I wondered why I even bought them, I really hate having my son eat them, he’s not a child, but I feel guilty for serving them after. That seem like a really good recipe for bread, have you made loafs with that recipe? There’s nothing like a good hot dog though, and eating it with beans gives you a lot of fiber to wash it from you system pretty fast, HA! Thanks for the recipe, Happy Hoildays, keep safe.
between the funnel cakes and the corn dogs I’m tempted to through a carnival here for all us old girls. What do you think? Sound doable? Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve for us.
So how many cups of Almond Flour is this? Don’t do grams. I wish everyone would give grams, ml, & cups that way every one gets it. That’s why I love Ann’s Kitchen. If I can figure this out I won’t to try it.
so did it really taste like hot dogs because when the carrots are done correctly they are very close
can i fry these like regular corn dogs or will the batter not hold up as well?
