There is this burger I tried, it’s vegetarian all clean except the cane sugar. The one problem is that I can’t remember the name of the brand, it’s another company that makes vegan/vegetarian stuff, like I said pretty clean all except the cane sugar. I can’t remember the brand name bc my mother recycled the packaging (I’m glad she recycled the packaging but not the fact that I can’t remember the packaging bc it gone.)

So we just found this channel….as my husband and I really need to lose some weight and eat healthier (we got blood testing back; high cholesterol, inflammation, low vitamin D). Bobby, you’re doing a great service for both consumers and food producers here by showing them the way to eat and what to buy!
That said, your videos of late have been pre-package & snack heavy. While that’s exactly what busy families are looking for, it ignores what’s ultimately best for the planet. A move towards buying bulk (minus packaging,) making your own, and growing your own (if at all possible,) is really the best way to go. Buying prepackaged/premade foods (including drinks of all things,) is a move away from where we should be going. Showing kids how things grow from the ground up and how to cook and how to choose ingredients is empowering and good for the planet. “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Can I skip mushrooms or use something else? Or won’t u taste the mushrooms in the burger?

you keep saying to make these burgers with “extra virgin” olive oil.. its not neccessary, when you cook extra virgin olive doesnt it break down anyway, making 2nd or 3rd press olive oil just as acceptable as the almighty “extra virgin”?..

A lot of recipes do use black beans and grains. I would have not thought a veggie burger recipe could include cauliflower. It looks tasty. Good job.

Wish you weren’t so blissfully ignorant about soy. you state you dislike it and yet have no rational explanation for this. The idea that it somehow influences your hormones (increasing estrogen) is a complete falsehood. Please don’t spread your misunderstandings to the mass public! This can harm peoples’ understanding of plant based diets. you have valuable information to share, but you need to spend as much time learning about soy as you have about oils.
I have to try this and can you use something else in the place of rice. I am trying to keep things low carb because I am disabled and can’t get around to do much exercise and need to keep everything low carbs to try and loose weight because I have gained weight and have to get it off because I hate looking at my self in the mirror.

Newton’s Fourth Law that was never published: The one ingredient that MUST pass through a blender/food processor before it goes into the mouth, is the onions. The chunks of onions, especially the lightly sautéed ones, can feel gross on the tongue. I will adjust the recipe when I cook these.

As a fellow veggie, I’m allergic to corn, onion, garlic, wheat, potato, garlic, mushrooms and… brewer’s yeast…which is mold, that’s in vinegar, olives, tofu…
I didn’t know about those allergies until 8 months after going WFPB… so it’s been a journey! It’s now been over a year since being WFPB + allergy free, I’ve lost over 50 pounds!

I add frozen bag mixed vegetables,bell pepper, spinach, broccoli, sunflower seeds, black bean, chickpeas, red bean, great northern bean, plus what you use. Soo good!

It figures you would mention the only meatless burger I’ve ever tried! That’s right it’s the ultimate meatless burger by Gardien! I like the taste and the only reason I eat them occasionally is to get away from real beef because I already have heart disease partly thanks to dear old dad’s gene pool! So it’s not healthy to bad for me!
It will be interesting to give these a try. I’ve tried the burgers in the How Not to Die cookbook; I was not impressed. I made the ones in The Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease (Esselstyn) which I loved. And I’ve made those over and over again, and they’re loved by everyone who has tried them. But I’m always open to trying new recipes, and I’ll be giving these a try very soon. Thanks for sharing. They looked pretty good.
