I have tried chamomile and melatonin but never lemon balm. I will.
OK, so this was ten years ago and it was all on a low fat diet and drug company concerned so I would like to know what happened because I don’t believe it and would have a hard time believing a low fat diet would help anyone.
I`ve had trouble with sleep my whole adult life. I started out this sleep plan “Bαkοkαt Fawam” (Google it 7 days ago and observed good changes in my sleep. Fellow insomniacs!!! Try these for deeper, serene, endured sleep! An rx medication called hydroxyzine(it will definitely knock you out), doxylamine (otc but more sedating than Benadryl and smoother). Also try an otc med called Power to Sleep PM and try another one called Somnapure whch uses natural herbs but trust me it works really well for sleep.
I didn`t took my insomnia seriously before because it only occurs once in a while. But about 5 years ago, my problem became worse. I was having ZERO to 3 hours of sleep most nights. I agree with more leaves fewer seeds. For more micronutrients, my priority food are sprout, green leaf, seaweed, herb, mushroom. For more micronutrients, seeds/nuts, fermented plant food. For more protein, legumes. Excess protein is bad for health and we can thrive on very little protein like the african countries. For omega 3 fat, fish oil, algae oil, flax/chia powder, purslane. For more carb, fruit vegetable, fruit, roots, grain. If I eat fruit, I make sure I exercise to avoid triglycerides.
I already try to follow okinawa diet (lots of vegetables) and vegan diet (micronutrients food, no refined foods like sugar, oil, salt, no processed foods). Doing exercise after every meal and some weight training with cheap door frame pull up bar to help lower blood sugar. Planning on doing more strenuous exercise that can use up glycogen reserve storage in liver/muscles. I learned a lot of new health tips for old people like me.

The best sleeping aid ever known till present: study materials
Daily, I go over list of foods with vit a to zinc to be sure I get my micronutrients from real food (unrefined, unprocessed, containing fiber/water) and not rely on vitamin tablets which are missing thousands of micronutrients. I keep animal foods like meat, dairy, egg, seafood to a minimum or zero bec these are bad for health. I take vit b12 supplement to get my vit b12. For vit d, sunlight or brands of white mushrooms with vit d listed on the nutrition label. I like to eat natto for vit k2.
I’ll have to try the Valerian root tea sometime. I didn’t know it was stronger than chamomile or that it could potentially quiet brain electrical activity. Thanks!

I truly need something to help me fall asleep at night othrer than “over the counter” pills that make me feel groggy the next day and the “all-natural” path sounds like a great way to go. I like the sound of the Lemon-balm and chamomile for the relaxing effects they offer. I also love the smell of lavender and spraying my sheets with it sounds heavenly and a nice way to fall asleep.

I’ve been trying cbd oil, mostly for arm muscle inflammation and aromatherapy for mood relation. As of now, I use cbd oil elixir under the tongue, and feel it helps the pain, thus relation for better sleep.

I love tea and drink one cup every evening and am going to try the lemon balm tea. I love lemon and have never tried this tea…worth giving a try for sure. I have tried the tart cherry juice and couldnt get past the taste and am not patient enough to wait a couple weeks to see results so will pass on that one. Since im allergic to so many things i think i will pass on the valerian and lavender…this was a great video and i learned a bunch…thanks Cody for all of the helpful info

Lavender is good in so many ways. Its good in essential oils, lotions, fragrances, sprays, etc. Its just so calming and relaxing, i can see why its on this list. Look into cyclical fasting. Works wonders. And less expensive than every alternative. Generally, we should be eating in a narrow window. Three meals a day is unhealthy. I usually go with eating in a 6 hour window, because that’s my metabolism. People on OMAD who are geared for it show remarkable results.

Organic chips have bad oils like gmo soya, sunflower, palm. canola oil which is made with soy beans very bad.

Sorry but where is the research showing a proper double blind study? Yes, food sensitivities can make RA symotoms much worse, but not everyone has the same sensitivities. I also have RA and also can’t consume dairy. Potatoes don’t bother me at all, nor does gluten. Other triggers can be alcohol, sugar and meat. Sorry also but honey and maple syrup is sugar too and best minimized. I eat a whole food plant based (vegan) diet and do great on it. Other helps are daily exercise and keeping your weight DOWN, not just normal but at the low end of normal. Sew your mouth shut. If you overfeed yourself, your body will use the extra energy to attack itself. I’m 5’7″ and if I stay at or below #125 I do not have flares.

As we age our bodies react differently to food. Don’t follow another person’s dietary restrictions, just reduce what foods are your own bloating or pain triggers. Be aware of what troubled (or what helped) your parents, if possible… Because our family often predicts things like lactose intolerance or Irritable bowel syndrome. Unisom is Doxylamine Succinate which is not Benadryl in fact you should never take those two antihistamines together as thats dangerous. Melatonin is also a hormone not a herbal remedy, its combined with herbal ingredients I would recommend to take pure melatonin and avoid any herbal substances. This was very frustrating to listen to! I wanted to hear what she had to say but Bob kept butting in every time she started to get going. Additionally, he had nothing useful to add but merely talked about the basics most people who suffer from these conditions are already very well aware of. I have fibromyalgia and had severe lBS with diarrhea almost everyday for years. I started a sorta keto diet and started eating cheese, especially Gouda and grass fed. It helped my digestive problems immediately. For me, l had to eliminate pastas, even the fake ones because of too many carbs, junk food, sugar and just basically cleaning up my diet. No alcohol. No bread. We all know what’s bad for us. Also, losing weight really helps too.
You shouldn’t cook with flaxseed oil, it is not stable at high temperatures.

My pain is so bad that it has totally stopped my life I dont even bath anymore my pain is so bad its so horrible Ive had it since I was a little girl then it got worse around 8th grade I went without wearing a bra a lot and not to long ago see Im 44 maybe afew years ago the pain management I was going to for arhritis that was all through my right side they could see arhtirtis all through my body but exrayed and x rayed for decades and then finally they see 3 bone spurs in one spot the same spot I pointed out to m general doctor and said It feels like a bone spur right on my spine the doctors said to me at the pain clinic about 3 days after the result at my general doctor that said Nope nothing there the pain management said yes something there 3 bone spurs in that one spot and bulging disks eveyrhting but they said I was born with it it happened like I inherited it or developted it in the womb, I hate life it sucks the doctors give me oxycotin instead of the liter pills the oxycotin I dont knowIM SICK OF IT 15 millligrans twice a day and 4 loratabs I hate it
Actually even sprouted grains for some of us r a problem. Not quite as bad. I am curious…do u retain huge amounts of fluid if u eat starches or salt? Potassium has really helped me. Eating huge amounts of green leafy veggies is profoundly helpful. Sorry but I disagree with eating animal proteins. Lots of people experience pain with that too. U should have mentioned every person has a different body type and should research their own diet.. I found raw vegan to be most helpful.
Salt even in small amounts sends me through the roof from joint pain

Maple syrup and honey is just as glycemic and void of nutrients as table sugar. Date sugar is somewhat better, in moderation.

I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis (and I’m only 56 years old), and the O.A. is in my jaw so it’s painful to chew. My facial bones are deteriorating and I have 6 titanium platings and 25 screws (there were 27 screws but 2 have been removed) and with the bone loss the screws and platings are starting to poke out and it’s painful to chew. I drink quite a bit chocolate milk and eat quite a bit of greek yogurt, and then suck on candy and consume other sugar in the pre bottled iced tea I drink. I know that sugar is bad for any kind of arthritis and it’s my worse habit. To do away with dairy almost makes me panic because that’s what my meals consist of at times. (I refused infusion treatments for my facial bone problems because I’ve heard so many negative things about them.)

I’m not the only one that’s reacts badly on potato and ris. Have been feeling like a nut.
For me it’s just so painful to eat rid (except for the black ris in small amounts) and potato (my gutter gets as big as if I was pregnant and as hard as stone, so painful).
Have cut down on sugar and no milk in any form.
I call the action of going to store going to the library and school. You always learn something new.
Sorry, but people who are clearly obese definitely shouldn’t be giving diet advice! The very first thing ANYONE with RA should do is lose weight! Diet can help your arthritis but not cure it. I have gotten out of my wheelchair through the use of a correct diet. I eat only meat and cooked vegetables! So I am zero carbs and zero inflammatory foods!
