Good video all around.
Except one thing….. that music, I swear its played for crazy people in the psych ward.
Almost all this “gluten-free” nonsense is bandwagon trendy bullshit for hipster dumbasses! There’s barely 1% with actual Celiac disease.
As a gluten free vegan, I can tell you that gluten is 10 times harder to give up, and I love ribs so much that I’d kill a baby for some…but not a cow or pig. Fuck babies. Wait, not literally.
Yum! Our girls would love those crepes! So easy! Thanks for the ideas
is it gluten free or free from as that most of the time has no dairy or egg which am sure don’t help
hi I am on free diet that is gluten suffering Celiac for 6 months. I always look out for great gluten-free recipes on internet everyday to get my health dessert, but it wasn`t easy to practice and it had been not delicious. I`m wonderful because it presented complately since I found the best free gluten recipes. The sweets are extremely an easy task to prepare and taste that is delicious. If you are going to prepare some healthy dessert, We extremely suggest to search Delicious Desserts Perfecta Solution on google.
I don’t have celiac disease (thank goodness) but I recently got tested and diagnosed with hypothyroidism, meaning that it’s better for my body if I avoid gluten since it doesn’t let my body absorb the thyroid hormones it’s making. Though since I’m not intolerant, just sensitive, I do occasionally sneak in a little something something here and there lol
my sister is gluten intolerant, sends her into anaphylactic shock, almost killed her, once…so, not much of a choice for her
Gluten free pretzels are about the only product that doesn’t suck way worse than the original.
Hello! I really liked this video. Combination of buckwheat and banana is quite unusual, should give it a try:)
May I please repost this video in my study project http://healthysnacks.site provided I specify your authorship and a link to your youtube channel? Thanks for considering:)
Gluten isn’t in corn so how do they make gluten free corn flakes????? They’d be the same
The cardboard comment is perfect the first 10 years of my life being celiac I didn’t eat bread because it was horrible one thing that is better gluten free though is brownies!
I don’t understand these people… I’m a coeliac (gluten-free) and all the foods they ate are delicious
Celiac here, and VERY happy I live in Oregon. We have a bakery with actually good cupcakes and stuff (the baker was on cupcake wars, and won a record 4 times…against gluten bakers). We have another bakery that makes bread that is tasty. Ok, so I still dream of a good sourdough and flaky croissant, but still. Also, there is a pizza I can get at Costco that is good and not insanely expensive. We have a purple completely gluten free restaurants that are fabulous as well. When I was first diagnosed though, I went and bought bread, tried a bite, and lost cried. It was like yeasty sour sand. Oh, a day Barilla makes a erfectly good pasta. It isn’t gluten pasta, but we don’t feel deprived eating it and gluten eaters have been fine with it too.
Celiac Disease sucks. I’d rather go hungry alot of the time
I’m gluten free intolerant, which is good because I like flavorful foods
“If you’re gluten intolerant just dont eat bread” she had a point. I dont have celiac and I dont even eat bread. There are so many other things to eat.
“If you are gluten intolerant just don’t eat bread!” screw you, sometimes you want a damn sandwich and when you can’t eat wheat because it feels like the devil has entered your soul to try and burn you to death, all you have is crappy dry bread or stupid lettuce leaves!! I’m kinda happy gluten intolerance has become trendy because those of us that actually suffer from it have more options for products that we used to really miss.
As a celiac I find this video extremely funny because there are good gluten free foods out there I’ve been celiac for 8 years and it’s gotten so much better but their reactions are kind of funny. Slightly offensive given that gluten intolerance is a real thing and they take it as a joke. But what’s no offensive these days? Lmao just take it as a joke and shrug it off. -your friendly neighborhood diabetic celiac.
Warning: Incoming angry comment from a Coeliac
“A gluten free world is a world I don’t want to live in”
SOME OF US DON’T HAVE A CHOICE YOU DICK
cries in the corner for 10 years
I don’t know anyone who buys lactose-free milk that is not lactose intolerant. There is absolutely no health benefits in the same way if you are not intolerant to gluten, a celiac. Gluten-free takes all the fun out of bread. Bottom line is don’t do it unless you absolutely have to.
The sweet potato latkes look interesting, and those crepes with fruits are mouthwatering!
There’s nothing wrong with gluten free pasta if you cook it right
God forbid you have a terrible medical condition like Celiac. It is horrific.
I’ve got the dumb celiac disease to the point my intestines are bleeding and tearing up. This test meant a lot to me because there really is a difference. To those people who choose to eat that cramp. I ask why. If I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t touch it with a thirty foot pole. I found that factory made gluten free items other than the basics, (oats, flour, cereal, etc) are great. But things like mac and cheese, or even just the pastas themselves are disgusting. I make most of my foods by hand. All you have to do is take a great recipe and substitute gluten for non gluten. Fried chicken, sugar cookies. Last year I was able to do my entire Thanksgiving gluten free. It just takes three times as long. So believe me when I say this, I don’t enjoy any of those things either. Thanks for this taste test
I’ve had a lot of gluten free products and there are some that you wouldn’t tell the difference. you just have to try different brands to see which you like better.
Think about how there are some people like me who can’t eat the stuff that you all liked. I am stuck eating the food that you described as stale, taste like cardboard, and is dry like a desert, and there are gluten free foods out there that are good. The ‘Gluten Free World’ is not okay to me when I hear that because think about the people who have celiac and can’t eat the foods you love, it can be taken away in an instant. WORST FACTS VIDEO EVER! Whoever thought that this video was a good idea and wouldn’t offend the 1% of people who have to live in the ‘Gluten Free World’ should have done some research instead of buying random gluten free brands.
if you need gluten free your inbred ass needs out of the gene pool.
Gluten-free food sucks and costs a fortune. Since being diagnosed with Celiac disease my grocery bills have almost doubled. Plus shopping takes hours because I have to read every label. People don’t realize that gluten is in almost everything like ice cream, deli meats and cheeses, soups and nuts, just to name a few. You also have to be careful of cross-contamination for example, l can’t use the same toaster that the rest of the family uses to make their “regular toast”. Going out to eat or trying to pick up snacks on the go is a nightmare. I don’t know why anyone would want to do this that doesn’t have to.
that’s the thing, there are people who medically cant have gluten, but then theres the other 90 percent who are just food-douches and think everything is bad and eat kale and vegan crap and then go home and cheat and act better than everyone. people with celiac have it bad enough without gluten but then there are so many trend-douches that they give people with celiac a bad rep. if you have a medical problem then stop eating gluten, but if you just heard that it was evil, fuck off and be happy you dont have celiac disease. you arent sick, be happy about it you dumb shits. sugar is also evil if your diabetic. i’m not so i enjoy the ocasional sugary thing. i also enjoy gluten and peanuts and milk. now, i cant have fruit. people have different bodies.
Gluten=Same as the normal stuff, But 5x more expensive with less flavor..
Look, I get that most people who are gluten free do it because it’s fashionable, but my father and 2 brothers all have celiac disease and rely on gluten free options to maintain a semi-normal dietary lifestyle. Saying things like “if you are gluten free just don’t eat bread” is both misinformed and insensitive. I am usually a huge fan of your videos but I find this to be nothing more than a distasteful opportunity to bash those wit dietary issues only because some hipsters imitate them for kicks and giggles.
Paddy,”I’m all over that gluten!” Me,slipping on my gluten body suit.hehe
If you go into a supermarket and shop in the gluten free section, you should be required BY LAW to bring with you your DOCUMENTED diagnosis on a paper of celiac disease, otherwise, you can’t shop there
its is nice video about gluten free drinks. i will suffring with six month.
Unless you have Celiac disease, gluten is not bad for you; and if you eat too much of anything it will give you stomach cramps. Gluten intolerance is a hipster, fad that people self-diagnose themselves with to feel special.
Looks at the symbol of wheat “God it even looks evil”…what?
I accidentally bought gluten free pasta once. Despite all the other stuff on top of it, there was an overwhelming bitter flavour like you might find in cough medicine.
Gluten free is just sand infused food. I know because i’m intolerant.
I roll my eyes when I hear gluten free. There can’t be that many people with celiac disease or people with a serious reason other than preference that need to jump on this band wagon of crap. Again, gluten free, just like organic and vegan, doesnt mean healthy.
In one way, the number of people who go gluten free because they think it’s “healthy” is good it means that more gluten free foods are manufactured for those who actually suffer when they eat it. Two of my friends are coeliacs one has had to have a length of gut removed because of the damage done. For those who are really gluten-intolerant the fad of going gluten free has given them more choice in the shops and restaurants.
“A gluten-free world is a world I don’t want to live in” same!
She said if your gluten intolerant just don’t eat bread. First of all you can have a gluten intolerance and you can also have celiac disease. ( if you don’t know what celiac disease is look it up) second don’t eat bread, what the heck. I know that some people don’t like bread or are vegetarians, but if you like bread and are not a vegetarian but have to eat gluten free why avoid bread? Yes I understand that you cannot eat the regular bread any more but the gluten free bread that is available now a days is not as bad as it used to be. I am celiac and have been eating gluten free for a year now and love gluten free bread. If you don’t like gluten free bread it’s because of 1 of these 2 things: 1 you may not have a gluten problem and are not used to gluten free breads or 2 you just have not found the best tasting bread for yourself yet. When you find that gluten free bread that you like stick with it when you eat bread in its many ways.
In America and you can’t eat gluten, I’m not saying your a communist but you are allergic to our amber wave of grain Jim Gaffigan
I drink herbal tea as well before breakfast, my favorite combination is chamomile, raspberry leaves and mint … btw that omelette looks delicious!
I have celiac’s disease, so I have to eat gluten-free. Overall gluten-free foods are not as good as regular food. In my experience, gluten-free bread is horrible. Gluten-free pizza is good, gluten-free pasta is hit or miss, and gluten-free desserts are pretty good.
I was at whole foods the other day, and this lady came up to me and said, excuse me, do you know if this is gluten free? I said look lady, if you want gluten, you’re gonna have to pay for it like everybody else.
I was gonna suggest just eating rye bread, but you can’t have that either. Fucking hell all the good food disappears along with the gluten.
i am the most unlucky person ever, i found out i can’t eat anything with gluten or dairy, than i looked for some recipes for me to do, and when i see the video it has cashews and eggs, which i can’t eat neither
yay
A crumbly texture and tasting stale are the biggest things that I dislike about being gluten sensitive
“I don’t know what gluten is, but apparently is delicious-and you need to put it back in there.” J. Pinette
Okay people who complain about the gluten free trend but don’t have the disease, I get it. It’s annoying. The people that are pricks about it are annoying to everyone, but you are still free to eat whatever you want so really, it’s time to move on. For those of us who are not gluten free by choice the trend has been really beneficial, now there are so many more options for us in grocery stores and when we go out to eat, not to mention a general awareness about celiac and how to keep cross contaminate the out of other foods. Is that really so inconvenient for you? No one is attacking your delicious baked goods, so chill.
For a long while I’ve been anxious about letting people know I’m gluten free because I’m worried they’ll assume I’m one of ‘those’ people, the annoying and obnoxious ones, but I’m getting increasingly more annoyed with the people who get all butt hurt about it. So what, food trends come and go, and some of us actually do get really sick so don’t go off to me about how frustrated you are with the gluten free ‘movement’ when you can sit there and eat your bagels and rolls and fun sugary cereals without exploding.
idk his name but i love the guy that just tears through food in every video. xD
Love most videos, as a celiac this made me sad. They were less negative about testicles and insects.I wish GF food wasn’t all crap.
It has that secret ingredient……dust I’m deceased…..arrggggg yall need to come to TN!!!!
Why were corn flakes the first thing? Corn is naturally gluten free. Do they add something that contains gluten as a binder in the cereal?
I’m freaking allergic to grains, bananas, raspberry’s, watermelon, cantaloupe, and avocado. I can never find a breakfast I can eat:(
I have celiacs and I had to stop watching this because it pissed me off. You guys sounded like asses I felt so disrespected. You guys have no idea how hard it is to have a diagnosis of a non curable disease. I am sure the people that picked out the food didn’t know what they are picking up because there are so many gluten free options that are better than gluten ones. They must have had bad gluten free pizza because I love gluten free pizza. Also the way you guys were like “I love gluten.” It’s really rubbing it celiac people’s faces saying how look how good this taste and you can’t have it. A lot of name brands of foods are gluten free for example: most sodas are gluten free, lays chips, Doritos, cheetos, most chocolate, General Mills cereal, I love gluten free pretzels, fruits and vegetables, meats if they are fresh, most teas are gluten free, hidden valley ranch, actually most dressings are gluten free, etc. the list will go on. So you really didn’t have the good stuff you got the shitty stuff because your crew didn’t know what to shop for. You eat gluten free products every day in your life and you don’t even know it.
I dont generally comment on youtube videos, But(everyone has a but:p ) I have a gluten intolerance, While i havent been officially diagnosed with celiac my symptoms the day after are really not fun, I eat gluten-free out of necessity because the following day i haveTerrible migraines, cramps, hotflashes/coldflashes, nausea, fatigue, vomitting and more, So i generally avoid it, and again while i havent been diagnosed with celiac i could technically have it, why? because when you get tested for celiac disease they only test 3 out of the 13 proteins that cause it, so people could be celiac and not know it(generally if they feel the way i do they avoid it) i’ve been gluten free for atleast 5 years now and have realized that there are good gluten free things, and there are bad, just like with normal food you gotta know how to do it, my family jokes that my mothers lovelanguage is cooking(thankfully its become one of mine) and she’s made wedding cakes that people are completely shocked that its glut free, To sum it up-i cant have gluten, but not all foods are bad if you do it right:3 Thanks for reading! now ima keep eating
John Pinette on gluten-free foods: “I don’t know what gluten is, but apparently it’s delicious!”
I owned a GF bakery and retail store for 6 years here in Canada with my dad, before he retired. We won several awards against competitors who had gluten based bakeries. Plus, any event we attended (or still attend) unless we pointed out our food was gf, no one knew the flours or products we used were not wheat, rye or barley flour based.
I feel like the selection provided was no where near to what gluten free food should be. You shouldn’t be able to smell a product, or even look at it, and know that it is made from different base ingredients. I wonder if some of these products came with other changes to the standard recipe. I.E. if you gave a milk chocolate chip gluten filled cookie and a chocolate chip vegan gluten free cookie it would be vastly different of the hop. As a cookie with butter, milk chocolate chips and egg regardless of flour used will taste different. It isn’t the fairest comparison.
Gluten free food is still regular food. People eat flours and products made from quinoa, rice, amaranth, oats, arrowroot, buckwheat, millet, sorghum, soy, corn, potato, teff, chia, nuts, beans, flax, and more daily and internationally.
Other than that, I enjoy all your videos very much and thanks for making them for us all! -XO
To be fair I don’t think anyone sane eats gluten free unless they HAVE to due to Celiac (I’ve got Celiac myself). And the food options now are seriously improved from even just 5 years ago.
its lame that its fashionable to be a hypochondriac. Super fuckin lame.
As with anything, it’s best to enjoy your gluten/gluten free food items in moderation. Eat smart, see your doctor regularly and have blood tests done. It could save you some hassle later on.
Anyone looking for really good gluten free pizza (safe for celiacs like myself) can try “Against The Grain Gourmet”. That brand has, from the many pizzas I’ve tried, the best gluten free pizza. Also the best frozen pizza I’ve tried, better than many of the freshly made pizzas I ate before getting celiac.
If you try these healthy breakfast ideas, please feel free to share your thoughts and comment below. Its super helpful for me and readers. Make sure to subscribe as more videos with dairy free gluten free breakfast ideas are coming! Thank you!
I mean, if this is how the gluten-free food is in America… the companies that make the food has got to up their game. Where I’m from, the food with gluten and the food without almost always taste just as great as the other. Sometimes, the gluten free food even tastes better. Loved the video:)
As someone with gluten intolerance it honestly sucks. Rather than eating gluten-free options I just avoid eating the foods. Some are fine, but most have this unpleasant grittiness that I can live without.
I’m going to go off a bit, but of course gluten free foods are going to taste dryer, gluten is the protein in foods that make it stretchy and moist. Also, before you say that someone should just stop eating bread, that is extremely hard if not impossible because we are meant to eat bread. Eating gluten free is not better for you, and it is pathetic because I have Ceiliac disease and if even a microbe of gluten gets in my food, I have fits of vomiting for at least twelve hours straight, so before you criticize, just see it from other people’s perspective please.
This looked great I usually try to do a fruit smoothie every morning
Anyone with celiac or gluten intolerance knows the struggles of flavor and texture that assults us when eating gluten free cardboard bread
Be careful about announcing that you’d hate to be gluten free (gluten free world is a world I don’t want to live in). I remember saying that repeatedly to a friend aged 14-16. At 21 I was diagnosed with Coeliacs. And when it’s a choice between slightly dry food and the staggering list of health effects eating gluten can cause (such as nutrient deficiency, anaemia, osteoporosis, spinal problems and pathologic fractures, lymphoma, infertility, liver damage, liver failure, various other cancers, and the risk that my body will just no longer heal itself, I end up having surgery to remove my damaged or dead intestines and spend my life emptying poop out of my colostomy bag!) I’ll take the dry food thanks. Pro tip, “charge” gluten free bread by heating it in a microwave for 15-30 seconds, makes it softer and more moist.
Tired of people just announcing “oh I’m running a Marathon, I’m gay, I’m vegan, I can’t eat gluten.” Keep it to yourself. World was better when private matters stayed private. And people used their legs for running instead of their mouths.
Makes me wish I knew how good the real thing was, I have a gluten intolerance and haven’t had a diet with gluten since I was a kid.
aye stick to gluten and ill die I wish I could eat it it taste so good I miss fresh pasta so much
how to make that honey lemon ginger syrup and how to store will it go bad in how many days
My kiddo has Celiac Disease luckily he is getting accustomed to gluten free things now and how they taste cause then he will never know how gross some gluten free food is but for reals, the gluten free bread I buy my son is delicious, it just depends on the brand. And instead of gluten free noodles we do zoodles (zucchini made into noodles) and he really likes that. Also, the gluten free pancake mix that we buy is delicious, I actually prefer it over regular pancakes. Anywho.. trial and error, there really is lots of delicious gluten free food out there.
Ok wait!
So Corn Flakes should be naturally gluten free… shouldnt it?
Being a celiac I have not found a bread I like other than Aldi’s.
It is a nice video about gluten free drinks. But we can get more information like this from google search the exact title “Delicious Desserts Perfecta Solution”.
I`m on free gluten diet after suffering Celiac for six months. I always be aware of great recipes that are gluten-free internet everyday to get my health dessert, but it had not been very easy to exercise and it ended up being maybe not delicious. I`m wonderful since I found the best gluten free drinks, since it presented complately. The sweets are simple to prepare and delicious taste. I highly recommend to search Delicious Desserts Perfecta Solution on google if you are going to cook some healthy dessert.
