Omg such a super fast talker, had to slow down the speed of the video, but good tips thanks.
I want to change the way I eat to also keep my pcos under control. In addition to lowering my insulin resistance and to stay away from foods that trigger my gluten intolerance. I want this because I think my skin will really benefit from it and i want to stop feeling bloated and immobile after my meals or those annoying binge episodes.

Sometimes its important to listen to your cravings cuz its your body talking to you. I am doing keto and drastically increasing my training. This left me so low but i found out if i have a small portion of carbs after training i wake up the next day full of energy and able to clean the house run after the kids and do my training. I had to rethink what my goals really were. Being perfect at keto or feeling good and improving my fitness.
Hi Jessica, This is great advice that works in all sorts of areas. When I don’t feel like doing housework, I commit to doing just 10 minutes. Same for yard work. I can do anything for 10 minutes-except hold my breath! I have a question for a future Q & A. We’re often told to “lift with our knees, not our backs.” In other words, we should bend our knees to avoid straining our backs when lifting. But, deadlifts are designed to do the exact opposite. Personally, I love deadlifts! But, I’m trying to figure out why the technique is good in one circumstance and bad in another. Thanks, Robin
Ok so i watched this on the 19th (the day you posted it) and it is now 30th and I swear my life has changed a bit for the better. I stopped hanging out with negative people and I feel happier and I’m making new friends and talking to people that I never thought I would talk to. I will admit it was a huge risk and I was so scared that by taking all the negative people I would end up being alone but I’m so happy that I made that move because now I am living my best life with new people that are positive and always keep me motivated. Love this! My recent challenge is emotional eating or eating for comfort when feeling ill due to a current medical issue. But I know the healthier I am with my lifestyle, the better I’ll feel overall! So just this week I’ve already committed to adding 2 days of strength training following your workout videos! Did the legs workout on Monday and will be doing another one today I’ve also committed to stop eating foods with added sugar and processed carbs. Instead, I’ll choose a healthy snack and do something fun like watch a YouTube video or get active like doing some housework to change up my energy! Haven’t built out a 12 month plan so will do that now! Thanks for being such an inspiration!!! ⭐️

1) go easy on yourself, you don’t have to feel guilty
2) figure out why you’re failing to eat clean/ can’t make it (is it stress, convenience??)
3) find healthier choices (bad eating is not the solution)
4) find specific goals that you can achieve > break it down so it’s easier
5) go through your pantry, get rid off that bad food guuuuuurl
6) talk to people you live with about your goals and why it’s important to you
7) New routine, but small steps
8) make sure you eat enough
9) eat meals that you would like, look for inspiration
10) make a commitment to yourself > turn motivation into habits

just typed up a menu filled w all my tried & true recipes, printed it out & put it on the fridge… used a cute font, sheet protectors, etc.:] it’s been super helpful with meal inspo & guiding me in the right direction when i forget to eat or prepare food or w/e. so far so good my goal is to stay on track w sustainable diet & exercise.

I have a question.
I play the sport volleybal 4 times a week. 2 days 3 hours and 2 days 2 hours. And it’s mostly cardio. But now i just can’t get myself motivated to do some muscle training, so i can loose weight. I can’t do my workout before school and when i come home from school i am most of the days tired and not motivated.
So my question is, what can i do to stay motivated after school to do my workout?

Love this video!!! It is so easy to feel like “I just blew that meal, I guess the whole day is ruined”, or to think “I’ll start tomorrow”. That is so me!!! I feel confident in being able to combat that because you have given me a new perspective on my body. Although I have always believed that this body isn’t mine and know it will remain here on earth, I have never considered it as a gift. Gifted items in my life are most cherished and I take very good care oft hose items. I love the idea of thinking and treating my body the same way. I have a question. So my family stress eats alot due to my parents working full time and me part time plus school, so convenient cheap food is what we go for. What foods are cheap, healthy and filling?
Gave me the motivation to go do a few stretches and 10 half push ups. Lately the thought of doing a long hard workout puts me off doing anything.
I’m thirteen, and I have a really strange eating problem. I like to eat and drink as much as I can for breakfast and for the rest of the day, when I’m not at school, I don’t eat anything until dinner. And because my mum enjoys really unhealthy food sometimes, I have to eat most of the things she does. On top of everything, we don’t have a lot of money. Me and my mum don’t have a great bond either so we don’t agree on things. I really want to start getting healthier and get the body shape I’ve been aiming for. If I could just get some help with either exercises or persuading my mother to help me reach my goal, it would be really appreciated!

My advice is do it for you. Do you want all of the health issues from an unhealthy lifestyle? Or do you want to get healthy. That’s how you should look at it. Diabetes, heart disease, stroke, breathing issues, mobility problems, joint pain, chronic diseases, going blind,early death,obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, organ failure. What here is appealing to you. I’m not saying be fanatical about it, but do some Stuff to help yourself.

Hey ^^ it might be a selfish request but would you like to make workouts for femoral patellar syndrome patients plz! well i have been working out for 3 years until an unfortunate incident this year that deprived me from working out! i’m gaining more weight because i’m not that active anymore and whenever i put a video to workout my legs or my back, it requires bending on my knees or flexing them which is very painful:(

Thank you for this really informational video! I think the problem with me is I tend to forget all the amazing things my body is doing for me and how much it loves me to be fighting to keep me alive continuously and that the least I can do is treat it right: eating healthy 90% of the time, drinking lots of water, reducing stress, exercising or just being more active.
All of the emotional eating, the bingeing, the cravings: they seem so irrelevant and small when you consider just how much your body does for you each day, and asks for nothing in return. It’s your duty to treat it right.

Hey Rachel! Thank u for your videos that bring us support and motivation. I personnally am a binge eater and I usually eat without feeling hungry when I am bored, stressed, angry…….. this habit of mine dates back to my childhood as my parents used to give me much food to eat and it was mainly healthy food but when I grew up I started to get addicted to sugary stuff and sometimes even spicy and salty. I tried many times to control myself but whenever I get angry with studies I fall off track and start eating whatever is in front of him.I also lack in self-confidence and loose faith in myself really quickly. I am right now in serious help as I begun living alone and my eating disorder got way worse than it was + I became overweight which is a serious threat for my health.I find no problem with training.I thought you’d be the one person that would give me an advice to overcome this obstacle, as you know already the habits we develop while being a child aren’t that easy to get rid of.
P.S.:I wanted to also know if a ketogenic would help with my sugar cravings.

A main obstacle for me is the anxiety that comes with having fresh food in my fridge.. is sounds stupid but I’ll be constantly planning how to use the ingredients, what I can do so anything will go bad… it ends up taking a lot of mental space and it becomes a problem when I have to focus on other tasks.

Hey! This is a question for the back pain video you did a while ago. Okay well I’m only 13 and a few months back whenever I moved my leg my butt would hurt, then it moved into my lower back and now my whole back its been killing me for about 2 months!:( I’m really worried. Is this good knows such as I’m growing or what?
I think it is great you talk about setting 1 goal at a time. I am also a RD and I tell clients the same thing. I also really liked that you talked about not being so hung up over a slip up. Even as a dietitian you might eat something off your normal routine. It’s hard to stop yourself from negativity sometimes. Great video!

I have quite a few of issues when I try to be healthier.
#1. I don’t have go to recipies. I have just begun my journey into a healthier lifestyle, and I haven’t found any solid recipes for dinner/lunch I want to make again and again. And I don’t want to get bored of a recipe, or eat the same thing for a whole week.
#2. My family doesn’t know portion portion control, so whenever I make something it gets eaten to quick to last for more than 2 days.
#3. I don’t like our kitchen and I hate spending time in it cooking. It’s way to open and cold.
#4. I don’t want to spend my whole life cooking for 4 people before I am even a parent, but if I don’t cook, we eat crap. And I can’t cook only for myself because I’m being “selfish”.
#5. My dad does all the shopping and shops at Walmart so he can never find things and I’m stuck with a half finished recipe.

Going Keto has been amazing for me. I have been at it for a week now and obviously would love pizza, but refrain from it because I have a goal in mind. My head and body feels better. Knowing the benefits of fruits and veggies; what vitamins they contain and organs they enhance is very useful. Making a detox smoothie (or anything) would be no problem and you can get really creative with your knowledge and make unique recipes (goals)! Btw, your fashion sense is adorable. I think you would enjoy the documentary The True Cost and being a part of the Fashion Revolution! I’ve been trying to eat healthily but since my mom buys groceries ( I’m 16) I don’t really know what to do? I eat fruits and other greens instead of snacks like chips etc but after that my mom makes dinner and always tells me to stop trying to be skinny and just eat. Tips?
I decided on 2 things. 1: That I was going to start to try to Vlog again because I find it fun. But the bigger one was I decided eating healthy by slowly but surely cutting out all the bad stuff I was eating and integrating more fruits, veggies, and lean meats BACK into my diet and going back to the gym at least a attainable 3x’s a week is a good goal for me. I am not doing it for any particular reason. I just know my body reacts and feels a lot better when I am actively trying to do good stuff for it. The losing weight, and how I’ll wind up looking is a bonus of course. But I just wanna recreate the healthiest version of myself that I was actually not too far long ago. I remember how much natural energy I had, I wasn’t so reliant on my coffee to get me going in the morning (even though I drink it black) My skin was clearer, I had more stamina and endurance throughout my day and slept better. Not do mention knocking out a good gym sess helps me with my stress from the work or just the day, anxiety, and depression so it’s healthy for my brain as well.

Starting yoga can be a good motivator. When I made the decision to improve my life style, one of the yoga teachers taught me to incorporate visualization and breathing in many aspects of my life: bad drivers, stress at work, temptation to eat poorly. There were poses I wanted to do but my fat was getting in the way. So I started to eat better and exercise and eventually I was able to so the advanced poses.
When I had the urge to snack, I visualized what the junk food was doing to my body on a cellular level. Inflammation, auto immunity, cancer, etc. I visualized myself at an ideal weight. In turn imagine what the veggies you’re eating is fighting disease.
I used to love gym class and recess as a child so I viewed my workouts as my recess and grew to enjoy them.
Everyone will have setbacks going through this type of life transformation. Expect that to happen. Don’t be hard on yourself. Just keep going. Definitely pat yourself on the back often for every small daily accomplishment.

I’m really happy, I saw your video, now I know I can control it and eat heathly and have my mindset whenever I cross to a fast food, I will walk away paid no mind and just go to the natural juice bar and walk around in the parks with a book cause I was in a overweight stage, i kept repeating the same mistake, the same bad habits I used smoke cigarettes but I stopped cause it wasn’t helping me, so I just look for a easy diet and join a kickboxing gym and stop eating outside and i needed help cause I was going throw a rough time now I’m happier trusting the process I will be fit and strong, I stop buying junk food from outside I be like hell no papi you won’t control me, and i drink alot of water now. I used hate water lol now like fuck it it healthy for the body and i stop drinking beers and going to bars i lost like 10 pounds

You don’t know how much I needed to hear that, today. I had been doing about 80-90 minutes of walking each day to get my 10,000 steps and focused so much on that. Then, a day came where I didn’t want to do anything. I got up and did your “under the weather” routine and felt better, but didn’t really do a workout and thought that I was stupid and hurting myself. Sometimes, it’s okay to say, “I don’t feel like it.”
I have a problem of under eating, even though I workout everyday and I’m learning to love myself no matter where I am mentally I always somehow end up under eating. I’ve been through 2 different diets about a year apart ( trying to eat less, and Atkins) and I had to end all of them coz I was always tired, stressed, and scared. I am 16 years old and I’m 60kg I NEED help.
I want to look after myself because I want my body to get smaller, tighter and strong. This will also help with my scoliosis and make sure I do not run the risk of diabetes. Finally when I am older I want to look young, lean and strong!
Hey! First I love your channel, I always get excited when I see you’ve posted a new video. You’re so encouraging and motivating. I do have a question. I used to drink coffee for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My energy and mood depended heavily on my coffee. I realized this was not a healthy habit so I’ve switch to herbal tea and I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t add sugar. However my question is is tea with caffeine unhealthy? I drink green tea or black tea in the morning and with my lunch and then I drink a tea with a chamomile base before bed. I want to be as healthy as I can and I feel a difference ever since cutting out coffee, soda and energy drinks but I want to make sure I’m not doing damage with the tea I drink.

I was a part of the ERL12 group actually but i didn’t even follow the plan even tho it was incredible! I was going through enhancement/breaking up and i couldnt even keep it up. changing from super unhealthy and junk food diet to super healthy diet is possible, but you have to have cheat meals!! being all healthy all of a sudden cant last long unless you have foods from your previous diet, because your body and mind is used to the unhealthy foods that when you change things up it will crave the old foods more and that will cause being eating or something so my point is you have to have cheat meals every once in a while and its imp to have a balanced diet in the first place that will allow you the chocolate and what not but in a small amounts,, if you want a lifestyle ofc….
I don’t have a number goal though I just want to feel good about what I’m putting in my body

What are your thoughts on using prescription meds to reduce cravings? Three months ago, my doctor prescribed me Naltrexone to reduce both food and alcohol cravings. Since then I’ve lost 25 pounds, cut out drinking alcohol completely, and I no longer crave snacks at night, which used to be a big problem for me. I’m still eating what I would consider normal meals, just in smaller portions. I’m exercising about six hours a week, same as before taking the pills. I haven’t noticed any side-effects from the medication at all. It just seems too easy. Do you think there’s a downside to what I’m doing?

Back in 2012-2013 I lost around 40kg. I went down to my normal weight for my height. In the last 3 years I gained 35kg back and I dont know how to stop myself from eating. When I have cravings I just dont care, I cannot think anymore. I think I am junk food addict.. My husband also eats a lot of junk food, it makes it harder for me to stop when he needs ice cream or chocolate every day after lunch or dinner. My willpower is gone

The only downside of motivation is the fact that it doesn’t last and that you have to proactively do things to replenish it. Fortunately, there’s an infinity of techniques that you use to boost your motivational levels… You can create Dream Boards, Read Motivational Quotes, Get a Workout Buddy, Sign a Friendly Contract (not legally binding) that hold you accountable for following through on your clean eating commitments. Just have fun with the process and you’ll be just fine. By the way great video!

The thing is, i’m not even really hungry, I just want to eat something sweet. Some chocolate and some sugar and I just still don’t know how to get away from that..other than that I eat when I’m bored, but that I can fight with lemon or cucumber-water. The sugar-thing’s still an issue.

I have recently needed to adult myself more with my health choices due to medical reasons. 1: I found a different type of ice lolly which i made of a frozen smoothie and I personally think it’s even better
2: The original version of ramen is buckwheat noodles and they are SO GOOD
3: If you really want a donut but don’t want to gain any weight, get a plain bagel and make homemade icing. Still just as delicious!
4: Try eating junk foods only on one da of the week but don’t eat to much of it and make sure it’s not too unhealthy
5: Try getting more sleep than you normally do. It’s great for your mental and physical health

I watch a lot of videos like this but this is the first to give me that “aha!” moment. I’m a busy working Mom and often am that person that “forgets” to eat and then comes home ravished. It’s definitely a pattern! I’m committing to planning my week out and making sure I have quick, easy meals on standby. Thanks girl!

I use sweatcoin and it works ok your house or in a building but I can’t track my steps during the day because I go to school ( not in high school yet) so when I come back I only get like 200 steps in if I’m lucky. Right now I have 120 sweatcoins though

I exercise daily but eat horrible! Today I ate a whole bag of chips and 3 ice creams. It really upsets me that I can’t stay motivated to eat healthier. I feel like I have no self control and before I eat it I always think if I should or not but I do anyways.

I’ve tried these types of strategies (gym goals, identifying triggers, talking to relatives, tracking progress), and it usually works for a few weeks, after which I get fed up and can’t carry on anymore. I think the problem is that I don’t really want to give up sugar, or even to have my goal body, I just ‘want to want’ it.
I am trying to lose weight by counting calories and during the week I eat healthy but on the weekends I tend to eat lots of bad stuff (or just too much food) which I feel is stopping me from losing weight efficiently…Do you have any tips? (I am 18, 1,50m and I try to eat about 1200kcal per day…)

You are so right! I’ve been stuck on that all or nothing mentality for awhile now. Also when I blow it I think well I already blew it like over 200 calories so mine as well really blow it. I hate thinking of food 24/7, very draining. Waves my flag, yes I am an admitted binge eater. Could you please give a couple of quick breakfast ideas that are healthy and filling? I don’t like soda and I love salads, two things in my favor. I only like salad with greens in it too, not cucumber or onion or other things. I log all my food on MFP and honestly it keeps me thinking of food all the time such as how much protein do I have left and what do I need to eat next to get to my fiber. Tfs ❤

Hey Sadia, I´ve struggled with multiple eating disorders and i have always felt bad about what i eat wether it is too big of a portion or just fattening. but you changed my whole mindset about food, It should not be about losing weight or being skinny or anything obsessive and toxic like that it should always be about living well, being wholesome and feeling good. SWEAT COIN SOUNDS LIKE IT WOULD FIT SOMEONE WHO GOES TO SCHOOL OR COLLEGE OR WORKING AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO WALK AROUND A LOT/BE OUTSIDE.
My problem is that i wanted to have lunch with my family in a while and they ordered without telling me…it was not keto friendly…then i stopped going out cause no resturants have keto friendly food, i even stopped visiting my friends because they don’t eat keto and always order out…i think i am depressed:(
