My sickness would be 50% easier if I could breath through my nose
The pickles from the store that are preserved in vinegar are not good for the flu because they don’t have probiotics. Get the fermented ones.

Handful of carrots
Handful of radish
Handful of celery
Chicken shredded
Chicken broth
Salt and pepper
Rosemary/thyme/corriander are all optional
Boil all ingredients
Add coriander at the end when serving and drink up

that time when you want to cook something, but have got nothing!!!!
And right after we’re both getting better from the cold. Though can’t really make most of this is there’s no one around to make it for you. ^^;
You’re awesome and I’m so grateful for you sharing your knowledge with us. Safe travels while here in Aus
Easy way to soothe a cold or a strep throat is to make honey pops or honey water. Honey is a natural “healing source” for your body. Mixing a spoonful of honey into your water tastes really nice and it soothes your throat for real trust me. Another way is to mix a spoonful or more of honey into some water (the proportion doesn’t matter just add more water than honey) and pour the mix into a cup then freeze it and you just made healthy popsicles that taste great and help your sick self a ton. (If you don’t like honey please don’t come back and say ew, personally I love honey)
I’m sick, and I sure as heck am not gonna do all this if I can barely get out of bed
Honey. I haven’t seen you in YEARS!!! And you LQQK Marvelous Jenny! I still remember how crazy funny you were doing your standup comedy acts in the 80’s, also your appearances on “ Star ⭐️ Search “, with Ed McMann. All my best wishes to you!! Looking forward to incorporating some of your recipes into my 55 year old body. Godspeed #6
red peppers, green and yellow too for that matter freeze well. Get them on sale, cut them up and freeze them so you’ll have them. Fermented foods like pickles, sourkraut, yogurt, kimchi, are, as Jenny said, excellent for gut health and to ward off colds.
Wow, not since 8-track tapes! What a great track record you’ve got going. Bravo!
Somehow i hate everything that is gd to the body like lemons, ginger and honey
Thank you for the advise; been so busy with my exams, I realize that I haven’t been eating any of those mentioned in the video. Hope it works out for me. But I’ll try it after my exams:)
Thank you, Jenny! I know about healthy eating but it’s great to have this extra info. I’m so sharing it with my 13 year old son & my husband. Hopefully going to make some changes around our house!: )
If people ate nothing but veggie soup and salads year round the flu and cold can’t hang around for long and they won’t even hurt that much
More like an unwanted tickle
I could actually put those all in one meal…and just leave out the pickle:-)
mm.. all you guuurls up in here take way waaaay too much time talking! This segment could’ve been over in 1.5 minutes. Ah Lawd!
I would love to hear what you put in a vegetable broth! Whether combining spices or individually! I’ve never heard of this and it sounds like a great start to the morning!
OFF Topic, I remember when I first moved to London and was living in a one bed flea pit in Kentish Town. To impress / offset worries with my folks, I filmed a video of myself walking around one of the fenced communal gardens around Kensington / Knightsbridge and while I never said I did live nearby, I never I said I didn’t either. When I first clicked on this video, I was reminded of this nugget from my past and thought you I’d share as it made me smile….WHICH… (the which being good humour) is something that along with all of your excellent advice, is something I find helps when I am suffering from a cold. When I can laugh about it, I know in my mind, especially the dissenting dark corners, that I am turning a corner, the worst is over and recovery has begun.
Great videos, great books, thanks for helping me on my lifestyle / nutritional medicine journey:)
My mother is really sick so im going to make her some soup
