This flax meal peanut butter hot cereal recipe is a healthy way to start your day. It has 10 grams of fiber, one-third of which is soluble, which is good for you, but that’s a lot of fiber all at once. If you are not used to a lot of fiber, you may not want to eat a whole recipe of this.DIRECTIONS Pour boiling water over flax seed meal and stir well. Stir in peanut butter and cinnamon.
Let thicken for 1 to 2 minutes.Directions Pour the boiling water over the flax meal and stir thoroughly. Add the peanut butter and cinnamon.
Let the mixture thicken for 1-2 minutes.Note that a half recipe would be 2 T flax meal, 1/4 C water, and 1 T peanut butter. 1) Pour boiling water over flax seed meal and stir well. 2) Stir in peanut butter and cinnamon.

Woman, you’re a genius! This was delicious! This is what I did differently. I didn’t have any almond milk so I used half and half. I added in a bit more of the half and half to make it a bit runnier. Used Lakanto Monk Fruit/Erythritol sweetener x2 teaspoons, 1 teaspoon almond butter. Garnished with frozen blueberries. I couldn’t believe how delicious and creamy this turned out. Great recipe!
Never use a Pyrex measuring cup for pouring anything, ever! It would be a smoother smoothie if you ground your dry ingredients in a spice/coffee grinder before adding ingredients. Good recipe though. Lots of variations are possible too.
Thanks for sharing this.. I make a similar grain free porridge using rolled oats, hemp. Flax and chia seeds; cooked in water and soy milk. I substitute the sweetener and flavors for banana and /or peanut butter. Top off a small serving with a dollop of plain yogurt..wards off hunger for many hours
I’m sick of coconut. It’s not a balanced diet. Keto taste as bad as fake meat vegan food.
nice recipe. will def try this. not sure if you are aware but that sweetener isn’t real good. it has 55% Maltodextrin. Dr Berg has a video on it & also Keto Connect have one. they do a blood test with all sweeteners & Maltodextrin was the worst. almost same as sugar.

Totally absurd. I don’t see why one would cut out carbs that our body needs. Girls that are developing need carbs for steady hormones, and a low carb high fat diet has too much fat which isn’t good for the heart. How can you eat that many sunflower seeds in one sitting? It’s insane and it’s overly doing the whole high fat low carb thing. Too much fat can be dangerous for cardiovascular health. Just saying. This diet would also be low in fibre.

It may have been the protein powder I used but I was not a fan of this. I used a vegan vanilla protein powder and it had this weird aftertaste and very gummy consistency. I may try it with another kind cause I really miss oatmeal. Thanks for sharing though. I love pretty much all of your recipes!

Just found you today! I have a small scoop so was only able to make 13 from my batch, but that’s ok by me as I can easily make another batch. I freeze all nuts and seeds; I then grind them in batches and put the ground items in the freezer too. I ended up with a mixture of ground chia and flax seeds along with a few tablespoons of hemp seeds to make the 1/2 cup needed. Delicious; I will make again! Now I’m off to look at more of your recipes!

Hi Dani! Help! I made these balls twice but the dough will not hold together. When I try to roll thim they fall apart! I used maple syrup instead of honey. My hands end up all covered in dough, what am I doing wrong??
I don’t care about the omega 3s in flax seed. Am not fukn vegetarian I love meat plus flax seeds are expensive and so are chia seeds. Guess am just going to bake chocolate chip cookies after all

I prefer to soak the seeds for 24h, discard the water and blend them with the milk prior to boiling.
This way most of the phytic acid in the seeds will be broken down.

I made these today!! Yummy . but instead of flaxseed I used chopped pistachios and creamy peanut butter.
To me, ground flaxseed tastes like a partly green banana. As a result, I don’t use it unless I’m certain it’s compatible with the recipe’s other flavors.
I’m making them right now I’m using chia seeds stead and cocoa stead of chocolate chips wish me luck they taste so yummy

I have a diabetic dog..he loves sunflower butter. Its really good and only roasted sunflower seeds. No salt no sugar.
Sorry to be that guy but this isn’t keto friendly. Unless this is some keto friendly protein powder most protein powders contain bcaas which kick you outta ketosis. Talking from experience i could never get into ketosis and didnt know why then i stopped taking protein powder and i been on ketosis ever since. If anything this is a good low carb meal but not keto friendly unless thats a keto friendly protein powder with no bcaas.
Can you use coconut milk and leave out the protein powder? I’d rather add some berries instead of ‘pretend sugar’ lol!

I. Make this without the flax seed, I use 2 T chia seeds and 1/2. Cup unsweetened coconut flakes. Then I roll in chopped peanuts.
thanks for going through the trouble in providing that alternative to porridge, but people need to be honest about it’s taste, it was not good at all, just got this gooey slimy taste that I just couldn’t stand, sorry, too slimy, and to put it in the fridge for tomorrow, you can totally forget about eating that.

The evening I watched your video, I went to the kitchen and measured all the dry ingredients into a canning jar so I could have it the next morning. Cooking it slowly on low made this so creamy that I just sprinkled a little of the almond flour in and saved the rest for future oatmeals. Since that morning, I have a jar filled with your recipe which I have enjoyed several times. Thank you for this wonderful recipe!!

My recipe is called Buckeyes but I started calling them tarballs after Jimmy Fallon sang his song, Don’t swim in the ocean you’ll get tarballs in your mouth. LOL… Instead of adding choc chips to the balls, melt them with parafin and dip the balls in the melted chocolate. This recipe is just like your baking recipe. I made those cookies several times. I have made this and it is really good. I want to try it now with a brown sugar substitute with the cinnamon. Just like my old favorite oatmeal flavorings. I just want you to know that I put this into my Carb Manager app and the calories are only 736 with 4 grams of net carbs. I am going to make this right now but I am going to cut it in half as I only want a snack. That cuts the calories down to about 368 with 2 grams of net carbs. I don’t count the flavorings.
Lilly’s now makes wonderful sugar free Chocolate chips sweetened with stevia.
Yes stevia and erythritol counteract each other in the sweetest way hahahaaha
But yea that’s what I feel too, erythritol has a cooling after taste effect which sort of deletes our memory of the sweetness we just consumed a second ago. Love ur video tho. Nice one
I just found your channel and LOVE everything about it but the guy reviewing is just not necessary. I feel bad to say that but it’s true. Any ideas for substituting peanut butter? I am allergic to all nuts and their butters? Peanuts are technically legumes, but are guilty by association in other words cross-contaminated with other nuts and nut butters.

Wow, that is a lot of effort to avoid oats! I’ve got it down to where I only eat grains on my cheat days, and then I just use portion control to avoid taking in too many carbs. That way I still get to eat yummy oats every few weeks or so.

KETO DAD, I used a tbsp of mixed nuts and seeds finely ground in coffee grinder and added it to my serving. Love the flavor…just like oatmeal. I have also used only sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds or pecans finely ground. awesome.
I tried this recipe from another channel and they used coconut flour and psyllium husk and it dried out my porridge making it too thick like dough ugh!:( I’m so happy u made this!

I just made this for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I just add 1 tbsp of cinnamon to the mixture, and also didn’t add the stevia drops, just the tablespoon of erithrytol and it was perfect. Finally, I topped it with some keto granola…omg it was everything I wanted
