Lol, too funny. They may not be able to run more than 200m, but they sure do look jacked.
How to prepare for basic training: Go to college… Get a real job… atleast that’s what I have to say to this newer generation, with that janky bullshit retirement scam they currently have going. Do your research before you join. Recruiters are lying scumbags as well, don’t believe them unless you get whatever they promise you in writing.
Oii mate thank you so much for the workouts you post, godbless ay
im 15, girl, dont wanna be in the army of my country, but i really liked to do your video and im feeling great after i did all the exercises, you’re a really great person, trying to help and motivate people to be more active, greetings from Brazil!
So im heading off to basic in a month… and a story Im worried about, told by a recent grad from basic, is that the Drill emptied everyones storage and they had to find their stuff amongst the wreckedge, put a kit together, and form up for rifle pt in 5 minutes. He said that put your name on all your stuff was crucial, even socks and underwear…. I am stressed, how should I identify my things?
Very nice control
I have a question. Being the Olympics is upon us, if you could train for any Olympic Event, Winter or Summer, what would it be, and why?
You are the best informative motivator for all things I need to know about the United States Army. I am willing to bet you are quite the military Officer, sir.
I try and run a mile or so and walk that same distance. An easy way to do that is to have a planned out distance and split it evenly. I run to the end of my road which is just over a mile and then walk the way back. Really helps.
Thanks this workout will definitely give me a good foundation for military fitness
Noice one, mate! Perfect work for cold days in Australia. May I ask you that how many days per week should we do this workout? Or it would be best if we stick with this workout everyday without changes.
I repeat all 3 times and I’m dying
Now I need 30 min rest or I will need coffin.Man you’re machine.
Just getting into this work out,I think it’s going to get me fitter, thanks
Salutations Sir! It looks like a 12 minute interval training. I’m currently doing a similar workout.
Im going through my RAF application at the moment but am feeling a little nervous about the run would anyone have any tips on how to train effectively. Even the most basic stuff
Would you recommend doing this every day? I’m 18 and training to be in the army
The whole world’s military training is based on the one of Great Britain especially the British S.A.S THEY ARE THE BEST SOLDIERS IN THE WORLD
Sir. Craig Hollman i agreed with other guys.. real soldiers aren’t like what Hollywood is trying to make us think they are.. really nice workout here.. thanks
I read that people from Commonwealth country can join the British Army is that right??

Thanks for this man I’m 15 and my dream is to be in the US Marines and I’ve been procrastinating on losing weight but today i decided that I’m doing 2 full body workouts a day
Thank u so much for showing this. I want to join the military but i’m not fit yet soo this video helps alot!!!
Can person got a knock knees can join military? Its not like is bend enough to have difficulties to walk and run it’s just there is a distance between my foot when I stand straight like (2 inch I guess) but I working it out now I do some stretches and a lot of leg exercises I wish I can still join military one day
You have to understand that the Army goal is a fit and lean soldier, this why you won’t gain much muscle mass in Basic. You March everywhere. Your access to weight training equipment will be non-existent during Basic. You will be using bodyweight exercises. The New PT Test is geared towards soldiers who have already passed BCT. So odds are, you will do the soon-to-be old test to get a baseline of your Physical Fitness. There are plenty of YouTuber’s who are into Calisthenics who can get you ready for BCT. But, just like Matt said, you are going to have to clean up your diet, and get your mind in the fitness game. The earlier you start, the better off you will be at Basic. Even if you don’t join, exercise can help you in life.
I’ve got 6 years before I can join the army, why am I watching this
This dude literally talks me out of the Military everytime I watch his vidz.
Well I’m dumb ass fuck so I guess it would be very stressful.
Thats a really great workout! Really liked it! Much appreciated ^^
I want to Join paras I’m fit in the sense of I can run 8 miles if needed to I box 3 times a week I’m 66kg should I put weight on and how do I train hills when I live in total flat lands cheers mate the only thing I can think of is run up the stairs any advice will be huge I have assement centre coming up soon as well BTW
Is this an army workout for little girls?:D my morning wake-up routine looks more intense
Basic Training is about making the recruit into someone who will enthusiastically and physically follow orders without question, without undue fatigue, without unecessary thinking, and to be of one mind with the other recruits under their ranking leader for the sake of having a one mind military that will protect the United States from foreign and domestic enemies of her way of life, primarily enshrined in the Constitution. A house divided cannot stand. In like manner, a nation’s military divided cannot stand. And a military that cannot stand is necessary for a nation to be defeated and fall. Do you want your nation to fall? Do you want your constitution to fall? If not, may the drill sergeants be hard on our recruits even more. More importantly, may the drill sergeants consistently instill in the recruit the patriotic reasons for their hardness.
Да, парни действительно красавцы. А самое обидное, что 1 пуля может уничтожить все старание и все тренировки.
If you want to lose weight and boost up a monster energy just drink 5 cups of hot green tea per day No sugar added. You’ll thank me soon!
Thanks Craig, as a 50 year old retired Company Sergeant Major this workout really took me back to the good times!!! Keep it up.
This is what a real soldier looks like, fit and athletic, not a muscle bound juice head you see in Hollywood
Most of the people in the comments are guys talking about form or becoming a marine and I’m just a girl here to watch hot guys lift weights lol
Thanks for the upload sirthinking about joining the army….and I’m from the Fiii Islands
If you can’t make it through army training now, you are destined to be a huge fuck up. The entire thing has become an emasculated, undisciplined shit show where the inmates are running the asylum. Morale and cohesion is a damn joke now, especially since they started the whole SHARP garbage and putting more emphasis on social experiments (gowta let dem womenz n2 teh combats! derp!) for the sake of “inclusiveness” rather than actual training for a large-scale conflict. The army is having to pick up every scrap of garbage off street now just so they can get CLOSE to recruiting quotas because it’s no longer appealing to guys you could trust in a foxhole…so you’re not in any danger whatsoever of failing out now that the standards have been lowered to the level of a participation trophy lolol.
We have been fighting sandal wearing cave men in Afghanistan for nearly twenty years, so that should tell you all you need to know
Great routine! How many times would you say to do this workout in a day for effectiveness? Once a day? Twice? Thank you!
Best prep is pushups, sit ups, pushups, running, pushups, running, sit ups.
I wish I could join a military boot camp without actually joining the army
Im doing Army Dozen Military Exercise too sir for Full body Work out
This is awesome! Really tough. Learn some proper discipline doing this too! Thank you!
The army is filled with fat men/women health and safety ruined real training in the army great video buddy
Thank you for this. I’ll definitely try this out, I’ll add in planks too.
I’m 19 and leaving for army basic on July 8th. I’m using your video to get into shape.
Just put an application for the reserves this is really helpful for getting fit for it cheers!
I’m ten and also a girl, I’m the most fit in my school and 99% stronger than most boys. And want to fight for the country when I’m older. Just trying to stay fit!!!
Im always struggling with my push ups, what exercises can I do to build myself up for my first push up? Loved this video
Most people don’t realize it, you show up broken down..the core builds you up to a new higher level.
Once i finish high school (a year left, i study graphical design) i plan to join the army next year. I been working out already, but probably gonna follow your workout routine, thank you for the video!
Awesome channel, big love, just tell me one thing ,how to increase pushups reps and how to increase height, dude i m 17,5’8 want to reach 6….plzzzzzz
I’m 16 years old and I want to have a strong looking body, to all types of body I’ve search, military body is the strongest so I want it hahaha
I’m 16 and I want to be in the army, but im not fit enough. So I start with sport and you video helps me a lot. Thanks man
I always watch army videos and army movies And I’ll love to do this workout I’m that type of person when i watch a movie when it’s over i act like I’m in the movie
Good vid and Not sure if you mentioned in the vid mate but what is the app/website you are using on your phone for the timer would love to know mate
I’m 14 and a girl. I want to be in the army when I’m older. I’m following this to get fitter.
Does pre-wrestling “career” help in the hand to hand combat training?
When I joined the Navy, my recruiter told me that the day I go to Boot Camp, I won’t get any sleep, but after that I will get plenty of sleep…what a lying sack of shit! And it seemed the higher I got in rank, the less sleep I got out in the fleet.
YES stop drinking calories. Cut out refined carbs. Those are two BIG ones.
Everyone:older, actually being serious about this
Me: being a 13 year old skinny and small kid, trying this
Also me a few moments later: i t hi nK i’M dYiN g-
I went to boot camp 6 years ago…. why do i still watch all these videos lol
did my first PT today and turns out it was an IST, and just so you know I’m out of shape as hell. I was the weakest there but that sure as hell ain’t gonna stop me.
oop. I just drank my second Dr Pepper while watching this video… hahaha Im screwed
For a guy that’s 26 and joining, is the opportunity for being an SF out of the picture in the future or would I still be within the age requirement? Cheers man
I didn’t used to be able to do ANY regular pushups (like literally couldnt do 1) started out doing pushups on my knees and I and now I can do at least 3 or 4 regular pushups!
i ttried doing this and my dog got scared and now im just huggin her and shes shaking. 7 minutes in. i guess i wont do it then
I have lost heaps of weight. I need to lose more though. I want to join because I think there is a war coming. Australia has USA’s back
Punished with just push ups? What about getting IT’d which makes push ups even more difficult because your overall body is even more exhausted because you’re doing multiple different exercises at a fast past. That was the worst.
I was 315 now I’m 250 and got 30 more to loose, stay away from alcohol and sugar
I found that the maximum amount of pushups i can do in one set right now is 25. To get myself prepared for basic i got myself into a habit of doing one set in the morning when i wake up, before breakfast, before dinner, before bed, and before i do any extracurricular activity like for example playing a video game. (i’m 18) lol
I can do 20 push ups and I have to stop for like 20 minutes. And 20 sit ups
C25K (couch 2 5K) app is good app to use when first starting to run
I’m like a stick I can do 100 pushups easy but I need to gain weight
You can build muscle with calisthenics making the work outs harder is what gets you bulked it’s not just 100 push ups a day
I’m joining the army for the 2nd time this month (last been medically discharged) i have to go through basic training again which I’m syked about buy what are you best tips for a perfect 2km run ♂️. Thanks
Very helpful video Matt… getting shipped next week to fort Jackson
1 issue 110% doesn’t exist being human, we are not perfect at best we only do 99%
Very interesting, but what’s going to happen during an ROTC course? It’s over a 4 year period, so would it be less intense or more?
I’m not trying to join the army. I’m just fat and want to get fit.
So i lift and im very fit, but i heard the army training is super hard so idk
I’m 12 and I consider myself quite fit, I really want to join the army but sadly I have to wait 4 years
I am 38 and trying to join the Air Force before the 39 age limit is up, I need to lose 40 lbs to make my heights weight, you mentioned my fitness pal and I am using that to calculate my calories each day.
My question is I am doing a 35 minute self paced run Tuesday-Saturday (500 calories burned per map ly run) rest Sunday and Monday do a timed PT run, you said you need to burn more calories than you eat each day but does that count everyday activity or if I eat 1500 calories a day I need to run twice a day and my fitness pal reading i have burned 2000 calories a day to lose weight?
I bought the book and hey guys you can buy it for $10 right now, wish me luck!
If the military uniform was the clone trooper armor form star wars everyone would join change my mind
I’m from Equator, South América, want to joik the army. Here the army doesn’t upload useful information or training, Lit nothing. Thank God I found you sir.
1:04 That’s not how you salute nor should you salute to the camera.
I was told by a recruiter that if I get down to 185 I should pass tape, I’m 5’7 and 211lbs last time I weighed myself(not wearing boots and didn’t have my edc on me earlier today when I weighed myself, in what I go out wearing it’s about 217lbs) and I’m starting out with changing my diet, though kicking my caffeine addiction is hard, so I’m starting with eating healthier and working my way up from there
trying to get fit in this situation and came across this video, thanks
PT for me
13 push-ups
27 sit-ups (stop cuz tailbone hurts)
17:452 mile run
Hold up. Why are push-ups done on your knees classified as “girl push-ups” they are just what people(of both genders) do when they are out of shape. Come on man. Pshhh
Hey Matt I know I’m very late but, I run in the treadmill for 20 mins every other day. Will this improve my run time?
Не переживай, они и стрелять не хуже умеют… любой гражданский в США имеет больше доступа к оружию чем любой расиюшкинский “солдатик”-поломойка, не говоря уже о профессиональных бойцах из горячих точек.
This is FAKE BE aware you could get raped MEN OR WOMEN SOMETHING THE MILATARY DOESN’T SPEAK ABOUT DIRTY PIG SARGEANTES RIP VANESSA GREGORY BRANDON WHO ELSE?
I am a high school wrestler, I run a 5k in 30 minutes and can do 20 pushups in a row without stopping, I think running is my weakness, will i be able to pass basic of i leave for basic soon
The thing is, I really need to make myself get off my ass and at least start running some. There’s a JC near me that I can use their track.
Wait, so in the usa they join and when they are already at basic they get the fitness test? Like not beforehand?
So nice,, so when joining the British army there is no longer a beep test?
Luckily me recruitment office has a next door empty build for us to workout and nearby park to do PT at 0830–1030. So physically I’ll be ready for bootcamp by October. Been at this for a year
Thanks! Haven’t been exercising enough this summer break and this really helps me.
I’ve got a long way to go before I’ll be ready but I’ve been working with the recruiters and since starting out I’ve lost 17 pounds and none of my pants fit me anymore.
not to be nitpicky but the picture with the trainees are doing chin-ups.
if you never run in your life and want to join military, I recommend starting couple moths before you go to boot camp. I remember I had the worst shinsplints my entire time in boot camp, it was bad, really bad, the only think that kept me going is I didn’t want to spend 5 month in medical hold. Start running before time it will help
I eat twice a day, four days a week, drink nothing but water and 5-6 coffees (8oz coffee, 2 non-sweetened creamers) on top of mid-day snack (usually protein around 200cal) and lunch which would be the bulk of my caloric intake. I guess my only problem is that I dont move enough, even though I bike 20+ miles for those four days.
What do i do if im trying to gain and put on muscle if I’m too thin?
Oo fuckin rah. Can’t wait to enlist and get my chance to earn the title of United States Marine
Don’t know why you stress the PT test so hard its really not that big of a deal. People need to just watch calories and run alot. Cardio is key in sweating not fucking doing 100 push ups and sit ups. You literally do so many push ups in bct everyone should be able to pass the pt test before graduating bct if someone still fails its not a you get sent home type of deal they will still help you lose weight!! The key is the less someone weighs the more easier it is to do an actual push up. stop stressing doing push ups the first thing someone has to do is lose weight.. Period…
You know its a Craig Hollman workout when your legs start shaking uncontrollably mid way
Great job on this subject Matt.
In Basic, I think we did more `Flutter Kicks’ than anything else lol, especially when getting smoked. I know those helped me with my sit-ups a lot. One thing I remember when getting ready to ship out was that I could do crunches very well, but not sit-ups. That is something I’m glad you stressed. It is necessary that you actually do the exercises you will actually be doing in training and your PT tests. Also, when my feet, or ankles, were not held down I couldn’t actually do a single sit-up. My ratio of upper to lower body weight was not helping. With more exercises for my abs and hip-flexors though I got to where I could do full sit-ups without support. For those new out there, yes you will have someone holding your feet or ankles for an actual APFT, but during regular PT, or when being smoked “corrective training”, you will not have that luxury. So other exercises to help get you to the point of doing another exercise is key. Oh, and in AIT we also did push-ups from our knees after we couldn’t do anymore regular reps, then just from the waist up, like that ab stretch where you look to the sky shoulders high. Granted we were doing hundreds of reps, but still muscle failure is muscle failure no matter how many it takes to get there right?
Man, I wish I had these videos before I enlisted.
Actually it is possible to loose 100 pounds in 3 months cause I did it went from 350 straight out of high school down to 225 doing insanity max 30 and going hard eating right it is possible but it is not healthy to do not would I recommend anyone doing that
Nice video… Plz make a video.. How to improve my shoulder, core, hip, and back for punching
I work out 6 times a week and i do and 3 out of 6 days i do 100 sit ups 100 pushups and i go up 10 every month the goal is 500 and if i join the marines able to do sets of 100 pushups what will happen to me?
I could probably to do Military crawl right now perfectly I’m only 15 years old and I’ve now how to Military Crawl since before I was 1 years so here is why my left arm has Braichal Plexus Injury the doctors told my parents your daughters arm will never move it will be limp her entire life and with family support, prayers, and Birth to three and the Lord giving me a Miracle is exactly how I’m moving my left arm it still has a shoulder blade out of place I’m okay with that and I couldn’t learn how to Crawl I had to learn to Military Crawl with a left arm being limp therefore I was using only my right arm and I’ve been getting my left stronger for 15 years going on 16 and I’m also in AFJROTC at Parkersburg South High School and I love it I’m a 1st year and my rank is Airman First Class
I’m 14 and I’m. 260 pounds, and I’m really overweight. I’m thinking about trying my very best to get into shape so that I can join the military. Do you think I should do it? I’m not sure if I have the strength to do it, or the willpower, not to mention I’m not really sure what to eat or do diet wise. I’d just like to know what you guys think I should do.
Thanks for posting this Matt. I’ve been working out everyday now.
17 and weight 240, i have to love around 60-70 punds for weight requirements i want to join the army to serve and to help me out with college.. your videos keep me going started watching a week ago started walking/jogging with a little running for 2 miles a day. You my motivation.
I can’t decide between joining the Army or the Marine Corp. I could join the Army to continue a family tradition since WW1. Or I could join the Marines and be a badass. Which should I join?
Hoping to enlist in a few months and a pretty good exercise I started was walking for 9 minutes then running for 1. As you get used to it you can change up the time to 8 minutes of walking then a 2 minute run. As you get more stamina and strength you can just do a minute less of walking then add a minute of running. Eventually you just run for 10+ minutes no problem. (I started off walking for 5 then running for 5 for 20 minutes) I’m getting close to running the full 20 with no problem.
Don’t eat less calories then you spend, it works but you end up feeling tired no matter how fit you are. try carb cycling, it’s much healthier and works better in the longrun
My dad called me an idiot because I scored a 53 on the asvab and my mos is 11x. I leave in July
Sir….if possible can you make a video on
Ways to grow taller.????….if possible sir
Is there a physical test before basic? Not a physical like MEPS, but like a pre PT test.
Eero I love you in the army gear. you are so cute prefer you clean shaven best wishes Dave
I lost weight for Meps I’m 5’10 and was originally 235 pounds. I’m now 187 which means I barely made it for my height and weight. I’m being shipped off at the 22nd but I just passed Meps like 2 weeks ago. Is it even worth it? Thanks for anyone that responds
Hey Matt, I ship out April 30th and I am super nervous. I can do plenty of situps and I know my running will be OK, but I can barely do 2 pushups. I’m freaking out a little bit, didn’t think I would get deployed so soon. AAAAA
Thank you for watching! Time stamps are in description. You can also find instructions to each exercise and the training templates in this blog post ➞ http://bit.ly/army-workout
Also, feel free to check out my FREE workout routine and mobility class at https://adayofmobility.com
The class has already over 300 five star reviews and I’m sharing some of my best stuff there.
Turning 30 this month and looking at going active duty officer. I do manual labor all day and was shocked how few pushups I can do. This video is a wakeup call and an encouraging message for me. I can get there but I’m gonna have to be on top of it.
I like that this takes place at a kids park, makes me wonder what the public were thinking..lol
I do wall push ups, lean so you’re in the same position you’d be on the floor and get to work. I do 10 in one go, they really get you tired which I never really felt with knee push ups
doing this with gear in the mud here in sweden just made this look alot easier
What are the things writtern after that 3x,4x and all…???
I am confused
Nice video
This is awesome like always, I’ll have to work on my pull-ups, I’m trying my best but still find myself doing weak, what would you suggest I do? Thanks so much for sharing this video, btw you look awesome, and you’re excellence is so inspiring!
What kind of tactical pants are those? I’ve been looking for some forever with the fitted ankle….
You always surprise me with your workouts, Greetings from Puebla, México!
Hi, a workout for the torso front, back, upper and lower, to keep myself slim, NO bulkiness n curves. Thanks.
Real military is mostly cardio. You don’t look like this in the military when you eat MRE’s and run all day, you get skinny.
Also when we train in the field, we do it in battle rattle. That means, 5 lb helmet, 35 pound ruck, 22 lb vest, 8 lb rifle, etc….
Nobody is giving 110% not even 100 % 100 or more means death. It qill feel like 110’it not actually IS.
I can’t do one press up… can’t run to the store that’s 7 min away with out stopping and I get pains all over my body and I want to join the army
Some one helppp
I want to join the army when I’m old enough so I really enjoyed this video!
Your awesome dude, love your stuff. I am an actor who plays creatures and you have helped me with my movements.
Running isnt easy, but i run cross country so here i my tips
-start short and slow. Start with a mile loop, and go slow. The next day, go a little faster. A mile isnt that long, so you can really push it the whole time. Get down to abt 7 mins.
-start running farther. Two miles is twicee as far as one. Run two enough that you can run your previous 1 mile pace twice and the same speed.
-keep running. Im not the best at this, but run whenever tou can. This is a little difficult for me in the off season, but do your best. Make a 5 mile loop, run it so much you can do it under 40 mins

Everyone wants to be in the army until they have to fly out.
Wow….you’ve now got 154k subscribers…….which doesn’t at all surprise me given the quality of your routine. My form has improved drastically since paying closer attention to you. Great material!!!!!!!!
The best thing to do. Is have a good mindset. Never give up. Thats it
First time I see a British army work out. Greetings from Colombia south America.
a small workout I do like 3 months before joining
50 pull ups
70 push ups
30 shoulders press with dumbbells
30 biceps curves
30 lats pulls
30 bench presses
80 situps
2 miles run
4 days a week
Have fun
these guys are just some fuckboys who like to show their abs they immediatly would get rejected from every military branch for sure
I know you following the theme however I prefer seeing you work out just in shorts and clean shaven
Hello Matt, I’m a 450lbs 32yo former powerlifter. I can run/walk a mile in about 11 minutes. I’ve hit a point in my life where my goals have changed and I want to join the army. Where do I start besides obviously loosing weight? I bench press over my bodyweight and squat and deadlift almost double or better. I’m currently around %38-%41 body fat. I’m on a ketogenic diet and dropping weight rapidly with that. Thanks in advance
This is a fucking joke. Just because the guys are wearing camo doesnt make this a military style workout.
I’m pretty sure they’d fail their “gun safety handling” course.
Comment tu fait pour trouver tes exercices? Je regarde tes vidéos et elle sont uniques, j’adore
Ivalossa -96 tuli ryömittyä hangessa, kaasunaamari päässä. Ei kovin happirikas reeni LoL
Real military workouts are mostly cardio. This isn’t military style at all.
Us MARINES carry a pack of at least 46 pounds during mct ( MARINE combat training) and at boot camp our pack was 50-68 pounds so when we got to mct the hikes sucked a major fat one it was so hard for me but boot camp actually prepared me for those hikes
In delayed training right now, just have to finish next school year and I’m off
So in other words, put yourself through basic training before actually going to basic training
fuck no these aint real recruits lol
army doesnt want juice heads with no cardio
Imagine foing all these workouts and then get a asswhooping by some farmers.
I do this work out every day so I can join the American army
Song no easy way out. They give me a desire to see if they can manage to defeat me. I Could beat them with my bare hands
They told me at basic they break u down then they build u from the ground up, like starting from the foundation and working your way up
I’m 28 5 foot 10 179 pounds and when I googled it I found a spread sheet that said max was 144 and my jaw dropped. Went to the goarmy website and it said my max weight was 195 what a relief…
You think I could lose 70 pound in three month that how much they gave me I’m kind of worried that I wont be able to I did in high school but it been 3 year since I was at the 200 hundred range kind of worried
Im looking to get fit so i can join military, great tips, thanks!!
Excellent video, thanks a lot for sharing… errrr… sorry, each week is every day, right?
That intro is exactly me I’m shipped off in February and I’m nervous asf
Can u please make one that’s without jumping because I live in a apartment

I’m 15 and from Australia, but this really helps motivate me. Since I plan on joining the ADF when I finish high school. I also want to say thank you for your service.

The music epic! Of course seeing that beautiful body is always welcome!:D
Do you think I can be a Marine? I have been working as a line cook throughout college. Full time in school and full time as a line cook. I feel like I have been pushed mentally, emotionally, and physically. I always tell myself to adapt. I want to serve after graduating with a degree in CS.
Wall pushups and girl pushups also on a rail really helps you build up strength… great tips
Lol I remember rucking 16 miles with 80 pounds right before Honor Hill. If you know you know
Well if the smart suffer less than the dumb and the strong suffer less than the weak, I know I’m strong for my age but I’m damn smart. You said give my 110% but you ALSO said if you’r able to do 50 push ups you will be forced to do 70. BUT 10% of 50 is 5. SO i would do 55 Push ups.
I leave for Missuri on Sep 25, Osut 31B, who else is leaving that date?
This is a really solid page!!! I’m going back in and here I am looking at the physical part again so thank you for the tips!!
I am one of theyr enemy(opposite afgan) camp.:)))))))))) =)))))))))) I will put a video with afgan warrior train(they are superior athlets an soldiers). Americans use technology, spyes and money to win wars
How much rest do you take between sets? Interested to know if you go for fitness as well as strength when you do your weight training?
I was Army and basic training and AIT were the best time I had in the military. Even was treated like shit. We formed a bond and great friendships. After I got to permanent party, I hated it everyday until I ETS’ed. With that being said, I would not trade the experience for anything.
Cute! This looks like a nice change. You make it look too easy. Hope you guys are well. Peace
That’s true
If you do genuinely care about the training and push yourself, the drill sergeants will notice.
Very Good Exercise tha Military Dozen/ Army Dozen Sir Thanks for This Sir
I want to join the space force, it sounds dumb but I want to serve my country and I think the space force is a good option
I’m joining the national guard and the recruiter sed i need to loose 20 pounds and that it will be easy i know i can do this
I was going to join the army in Brazil anyways. Thank you for showing the brittish military workout
I’m 14 I run every day at least 5 miles I use a punching bag I always try to do push-ups I want to be at the top of my class I really want to go to special forces
As I’m coming into bootcamp at 25 will I have higher expectation in bootcamp or will I have a more rigorous experience because my age?
Isn’t there something to teach you militaristic ways for kids
How are the shoes? Good support? I have extremely flat feet and they tend to hurt after a few straight hours of active use. Normally everything is fine with inserts in my shoes that add more arch.
Before entering the chow hall to eat each and every meal, we had to do a number of pull ups. The first week it was 1 pull up before each meal. At week 16 it was 16 pull ups before each meal etc. This was at Ft. Benning OSUT 2/58 INF.
This was just a bunch of posers taking their shirts off and close ups of their bodies for the entire video. What. The. Fuck.
It was hard explaining to people what basic training was like because they expect the physical to be the hardest part and although it was, the mental exhaustion was what I struggled with most. I was a string bean when I got there and the physical was very difficult (other than running, I was a cross country runner in HS), but that mental game was something I hadn’t gone through before, and it was definitely brought on by the physical. I knew someone in a foreign military and they had thought it was so weird how everyone is yelling at you in basic, and that it didn’t make sense that you would learn things under such high-stress situations when it would be better to learn them at a better pace. I think what I learned most in basic, was the “Embrace the Suck” mindset. Eventually, you learn that no matter the lack of sleep, energy, weather, etc., you will suck it up and finish the mission, whatever it is.
The military squat we use to do is with your hands hanging down and you go low to touch your ankles then stand back up.
Hi Matt, I am planning to try and start the process of joining the army in late August or September.. Do you know if Co-Vid19 is going to affect this process? Also what would be the best start for PT training for someone like me who is a bit older.. I am 29 now.
Having been a US Army Drill Sergeant for 3 1/2 years, I’d say this video is extremely accurate. For those considering joining, I’d say DON’T WORRY ABOUT BASIC! It is a tiny piece of your career, and objectively pretty easy… to pass. It might be the roughest thing you do in life, but in the end we had <10% failure rate. JUST DO IT!
I started basic in November our platoon quickly realized that the only way you can get fucked up is there is a snitch or if you get caught we snuck hella dip and food from the outside our cycle was to fucking easy
Hiya im ex military (retired) but do i need to shape up! omg so im totally going to start the revamp my bod process, thanks
I been boxing LIKE CRAZY, and running around my block. I’m really f’cked with the running tho cause of cigerettes. been cutting down, but I get iron lung during my runs and have to stop for a good 5 minutes or more to catch my breath. Drill Sergeant will rip off my testes if I do that in PT.
I want to go into the national guard under police and protection. Yet I don’t have much confidence or self esteem. I always doubt myself, and crack/cry/panic when i’m yelled at or put in stressful situations. I have anxiety and simple things stress me out to the point where I’m all shaky. I’m sure I could do decent at the physical part, but should I be worried about the mental part? Should I consider something else if I know that I’m “soft” mentally?
Starting out while I’m younger so I get a good couple years of getting fit.
Agh I can’t wait to enlist one day!
I started watching your videos about 3 years ago when I was in highschool. Completely changed my Outlook on life. I became a better athlete and team member in sports and group activities. Looking forward to basic training in a couple weeks and hopfully a successful career. So thankyou.
Honestly… I have never taken myself seriously, I spend majority of my life being a selfish dumbass who blames the people who care for him for things that haven’t gone according to plan, I have waisted a full year of feeling sorry for myself… I had a dream once…
It was someone I talked to, someone who was SO great if I was quarter of that guy, I wouldn’t be here feeling like a fat sack of shit that I was…
I always wanted to be someone else…
That was the case for me, wanting to be ANYTHING but yourself.
I learn that if you want to be anyting in the world, you gotta aim to be the best version of yourself.
I remember waking up after the dream…
Believing that I can do this, that I can change…
for a better tomorrow.
You should do a timeline video of your time in the military.
Thanks for your service, men. I for one am very grateful for your generous service to our country. Without you we would not have a country.
Yes, but don’t go in in over the top shape because you will end up loosing weight and you will be built by the end but I highly recommend cardio every day to prepare. If you are still in high school or college even I highly recommend cross country.
Hit the nail on the head with this analysis, no doubt! I went to boot camp very out of shape but with years prior military life/school experience, living with recon marine tac officers in my barracks 24/7 for a couple years and they loved fucking up our young undisciplined asses daily so i actually had comparatively lots of mental toughness or i couldn’t have made it near the middle of the pack through the first half. Going through that shit 40lbs over weight and smoking a pack+ of reds a day plus many other bad habits… I DON’T RECOMMEND IT! Get in shape!
Me with my belly hanging over my shorts, and gorging myself on hot Cheetos. “Pshhh I can do that.”
I like the sound of your timer, would you please be able to give details of your source, your exercises are keeping me trim! Thank you
The preparation starts with your ASVAB test. The higher your score, the more opportunities will be offered to you before and after you enlist.. Physically, start doing 100 push-ups and a two-mile run with boots every day for 30 days and you’ll do fine.
Why would you need preworkout if your preworkout is having bullets fly at you get them real adrenaline. But much respect, I’ll be joining in pretty soon. Semper fi!!!!!
you do not build that size of muscle with that kind of exercises, and also without steroids:)
28 years old and finally planning on joining. ASVAB test on the 13th.
Just found your channel and subscribed I’ve just recently started my own bodyweight workout channel if you want to have a look it’s called UK BURPEE 100
I needed this video Matt thank you! Getting sworn in on the 31st.
I found it to clicheic…maybe something like real commando drills, like muscle up on a wall, wall jump overs, running or crawling along a wall. Banana rolls with push ups rather than the clicheic push ups, sandbag with renegade squats…I don’t know how the finish army beat the USSR when the invasion came to that country with a workout like that from someone who was in the finish army. For me it lacked everything….
My experience in the Navy=do 500 squats! Okay now do 10 push ups!
I wish there were more parks like this in the UK. Sadly there are very few.
Fuccc, I’m nervous and also excited hahaha wish me luck guys. I’m shipping in a few days from now.
perfect and very strong this routine.
one more reason to use my lawn.
more videos like that.
i like it
Jump rope is actually one of the best ways to help u gain run endurance
I was rejected from all forms of military due to asthma heath concerns. Now its my weight. I want to train like the military to get into shape.
All of my family laugh when i told them i wanted to become a seal
