I have a question, I want to but One but I have an ipod 4th gen and Im not sure if it wil sync, will it work on my ipod 4th gen?
I got this for Christmas and it’s just now getting reviewed as a “First Look”!! Haha, that’s funny
I hope this generation doesn’t get lost as easy as they used to. I lost two of them before I gave up on the product. One nice (but gross?) trick was clipping it to the waistband of my underwear. I kept it for so long until it dropped into some nook in my room:/
Thanks for the video!
it doesn’t track activity accurately, it’s a known issue and they won’t do anything about it. people find them because many are throwing them away.
Dude, you don’t know what your doing. Remove the video. Wtf!
We were not compensated in any way by FitBit to do this review. We even bought the device.
You can use skylet colorful multi band clip holder replacement for fitbit one. Here you can get it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MDK21M/
The calories are not accurate on this thing, i used it in a workout and i had a heaet rate monitor on too and my heart rate monitor told me i burned twice as much as the fit bit said, plus i set my fit bit on my dresser before bed and woke up the next morning and everything was at 0 but the calories were at 867! I dont understand.
not impressed after watching this. If it only picks up slow walking, it’s useless
also, to add on that, if he would walk the 10,000 steps a day, by the bands calculation he would have burned almost 6,000 calories in one day? thats just not possible by just walking 10,000 steps, hed be losing 2 pounds a day @*****
OK. Why are people such idiots? The wristband is for use WHILST YOU ARE SLEEPING. You have to use the clip to attach the device to your belt, waistband, bra or whatever during the day. Go onto the Fitbit website and they will tell you this. So this guy has registered 4.59 miles travelled by just moving his wrist? I can imagine where all the wrist movement was coming from!
The dashboard and apps are also cool.
But t he device itself has some issues with its battery. And on the Website they more or less hide support.
It onl y works with Mac and Ipads?? No Samsung phone or Windows system?
Thanks for sharing. I think I am gonna get it. I like the ability to track my sleep. But how does it track your calorie intake?
Got one for free so I’m just going to use it as an alarm and watch.
hes walked 1500 steps and only half a mile, how has he burned 1,000 calories? i keep seeing these reviews where people are barely active yet it says theyve burned 1000-1500 calories, this doesnt seem accurate at all. i really want to buy this but im very confused on this issue, does anyone have this and can clarify for me?
To record foot steps you have to have it on your waistband when on a bike! The wrist band is fir sleeping!,
if your suppose to sleep track then when the hell do you charge the device?
Like your review and I plan on getting one, you say you have been using this for 2 months and compared to your earlier videos it shows good job man. I have the scale which is how I started and now I am moving up to this. Flex look nice but it does not track steps which is more data I would like to see.
You can change the measurements to European if you look at the settings. Also the wristband is ONLY for sleeping.
do I have to sync it to a computer or can i do it on a phone
thank you so much for a great review. just got my burgundy one today and so your review came in handy. did not come with any good instructions so watching your video was fantastic.
I have one and I always have 435 calories without me using it I don’t use it to sleep I don’t know how to do to change to 0 I buy the HR I don’t like it worse so I return it back
Can it detect if you are running and apply calories burnt that way? Or is it literally just steps walked?
Very informative. I am still learning to see what is best for me in firbit One but I will get there I think. Simple explanation of what to do and how to set up. Very good.
people buy these things because it looks cool…its never gonna be accurate…
Does it counts steps or floors when walking up steep hills and does it count steps whilst driving?
Great review and very informative. Just ordered my fitbit one so can’t wait to get that. Thanks
see heres what im looking for, i have a galaxy s3, so unfortunately the misfit shine will not work, since it has no windows usability, but i am looking for tracker, with a clock feature so durring work i am not having to pull out my cell phone since it is looked down upon doing that, and work does not allow me to wear a watch, but the reason i did look at the misfit line of activity trackers is because it has both wrist strap and clasp, for less than 200 dollars, i have been scouring fitbits site, yet to this day they do not have a device which has both a clasp case and a wristband case, much like the misfit, also having the minimalist view of the misfit it just feels like it wouldnt attract too much attention being hiding somewhere like on the outside of my pants pocket, etc…. so here is where i could use your guys help… i am looking for a tracker with a watch feature, preferebly digital but analog is alright, has both a watch strap and a clasp like the fitbit zip and the fitbit charge had a baby, isnt too bulky and hopefully doesnt cost me a whole months spending salary… also either works with cruddier older phones or works with windows… i realise the fitbit one has that wristband… but lets face it… its kinda dorky and would only be worn at night or by a serious runner, just not very fashionable… so please help… i could use all the help i could get…
This review was a bit disappointing and fairly inaccurate…
You should really give it a second go AFTER you read the instructions.
Was just wondering if I need the dongle cuz I got my fitbit one from a friend and she cant’ find the dongle or the piece you need to sync with the computer.. So can I just sync it with my i phone without it..
I know a few people getting the wrist one, which I can’t because I do dishes at work. this one solves that problem nicely. I have heard the wrist tracking can be a bit off for activities though so maybe just use it for sleep.
If your clip doesn’t work in your coin pocket you could always just put the device in there without the clip.
thank u. your vedio is very useful I have speech about fitbit one.
august 14..we haven’t had summer in northcounty san diego beaches…
just sayin’
Thank you for your interesting video. It is extremely helpful. My Fitbit one is on its way. A 78th birthday gift from my daughter and son-in law. I am super excited. Maryann M.
Had one for 6 months. Have never lost it and I lose keys/phone etc constantly. I wear mine on my bra and I only have like 3 bras so it would be hard to lose it
He should really read the instructions before he reviews something. The wristband is for sleep measurement.
Thank you. I appreciated the information and am excited to be using it.
Thank you for taking the time to review this, but long stories on the differences between men, women & tire rotation probably isn’t needed in future reviews.
It sounds like the wrist band would have been a better fit for you.
I just found one on the streets and didn’t know what it was so here I am.
Techgooch, was wondering… so what did Fitbit come up with after stopping production of The One?
I just can’t see how this has any kind of longevity, as far as popularity. What’s so great about it?
I work at Amazon picking orders. pushing carts my arms don’t move. Wristband wasn’t good. However FB-ONE works great!
This person should resign and go and work in a library or as a prison guard or something…product reviewing is not for him….
Poor review.
I understand that this is a year old but people continue to purchase this.
If you would have read ANYTHING you would have known that the wristband is sleep monitor. FAIL
The food log creates a list for each mean (breakfast, lunch, dinner) so after common meals are entered, you pick from a list (or add a new) which makes it a breeze after a week. You also do not need a FitBit for that. MyFitnessPal website. FAIL
On a bike ride… Really? It is a PEDOMETER, walking or running only. Biking or skateboarding is not going to read right. FAIL
This is a tool, use it as a guide and use it correctly and it will show inactivity and highlight total caloric intake. You make your own adjustments toward your target.
SMH
do you have to wear the fitbit on your wrist while you are sleeping or on the waist band of your pajamas?
I just bought my Fitbit One today, and I just finished watching your tutorial and found it very informative. I can’t wait to start using it. Thanks for your great review!
This doesn’t really seem like a good review of the product. Fitbit doesn’t claim to change your life.. it’s just a tool to help YOU change your life. Before you review another product, I would highly recommend reading the instructions, and the products purpose first. For example, Dan says tracking your food intake is complicated and more or less a waste of time… Well Fitbit isn’t claiming logging food is needed… it just provides a tool to help people needing to log their food and it isn’t the main purpose of the product…
does it track weight training like bodybuilding? heart rate? like when training does it tell you how many cal burned when streghtn training
very well explained. Did I miss out on the bluetooth tracking the lost ONE device? How?

The fact that you don’t know how to use it ruined the video.
I lost 42 pounds with this device. It was easy to use and very accurate. It needs to be set up on the site for stride length. Also, entering foods is a snap. It appears I eat pretty much the same 50 or 60 foods pretty regularly. Once the foods are added to your favorite foods list, they’re really fast and easy to access. All in all a great product that this reviewer doesn’t seem able to do justice to.
Use myfitnesspal for European food brands. Links right up to fibit’s website and Imports automatically.
I cracked the face of my Fitbit, I’m pretty sure it’s not under warranty,is there a way to get it fixed?
Loving the honesty in the review. And I appreciate the enthusiasm.
it clearly says to ONLY use the wrist band while sleeping. before you do a review, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
I just keep watching his hands jump up and down every time he talks…
Thank you for the review! Just one thing, the rest band should only be used when tracking ur sleep! Also u can log different activities manually like cycling, swimming etc…
The band is only for sleeping and the clip is for exercise. For biking you could put it on you sock or in it and you can log those things separately as well.
The Fitbit has got competitors now called Fiturbo. It’s like a Fitbit, but without any of the wireless features, but it’s only $40
I agree with everyone else you should’ve read the instructions. And I wondered if he paid by Nike
Great review! Very comprehensive and detailed. Will you be reviewing the Fitbit Flex wristband tracker?
The FitBit is always calculating caloric burn at all times, even when you are sitting. You have to remember that your body is continuously burning calories even when sitting still because there are bodily processes still taking place inside you and so your body is using energy. This is why your metabolism is in place so that constant calories are being burned. If you aren’t burning calories 24/7, we would not be able to lose as much weight as we can.
Well when you sleep, you burn calories and it’s probably adding the mean number of calories that a person burns in the night.
As for accuracy, it’s close enough.
i got mine yesterday and have one question what to do with Track exercise on mobile app?
when i activated my mobile app account i mention i will do 5 day work out. so, why it didn’t registered this morning work out. do i need to turn on something before workout? pl reply
I love this device. Have had it and the Aria since mid December, and have lost about 9 lbs. It has encouraged me to walk, instead of drive, and to be more active throughout the day. I love how it graphs your activity throughout the day. My only complaint is that it sometimes picks up spurious steps and floors. The steps get added while driving, but the altimeter seems to be very sensitive to the weather.
The Flex does everything the One does, except track how many floors you climb. That’s because the Flex is more waterproof.
septics are one of 3 retarded countries out of over over 190, that cant work out metric…tards
nice review, think i’ll wait till the fitbit flex comes out!
Great review. I may have no use for this but will pass the review on down!
Hmmmm……its tempting….and sounds quite fun! Ty for review.
