Btw, when was the last time you ate fish?
Also, find out what happens to your body if you start taking fish oil every day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvYU9s8hv2U
Chunk Light tuna is very low in mercury; albacore tuna is very high.

Don’t eat too much fish because all the chemicals and gasses and trash in the ocean the fish consumes it and then you end up consuming most of it!
My favorite kind of fish is trout and salmon and also canned tuna
I just ate two delicious fresh & juicy salmon fillets with dill & lemon, rice, sweetcorn, hot pepper sauce with a side of coronation slaw.. an absolutely delicious & healthy, quick & easy lunch! Beautiful!
Don’t eat bananas, don’t eat fish, don’t eat soy, blah blah blah.
My sister ate fish because she has a heart failure do eating fish everyday is helpful to cure his condition?
You forgot that eating too much seafood also cause hyperuricemia which leads to gout.
Nonsense sardine, mussles spike my blood pressure i ‘ll never forget….
I consume a lot of tinned salmon is boneless & skinless really that bad? or just not as good as it would be if it had bones/skin? Asking because I really don’t care for seeing or feeling the bones even though they are soft.
On keto I don’t imagine you’d have to worry so much about the ‘high calories’ in mackerel, since it’s hormones [such as insulin] that cause bodyfat accumulation… basically the more fructose-loaded, i.e. the more ‘sugary’ something is, or the more refined starch it has, the more it’s going to spike insulin and cause weight gain.
I eat fish everyday. I feel exactly the same as when I ate pork everyday.
Been eating mostly canned salmon, tuna, and sardines for the last couple of days….am i going to die? o_O
Salmon is my favorite fish and i almost eat every other day.
Lol my doctor tried to send me a vitamin D supplement once she found out my d vitamin was low smfh I can eat fish then drink milk whatever
I eat the small sardines with skin in olive oil but where can u find the small sardines in just water?
I eat wild salmon most everyday but don’t eat many veggies. Salmon, potato chips. Ice cream! Not good enough!!!
Tuna steak. If you’ve never tried it, it’s absolutely delicious, and affordable. Pretty similar to swordfish but less expensive.
I don’t like to eat seafood but I like fishing I just came to get all the information and to start taking the suppliments and vitamins
My cats don’t like fish. I have a beef loving cat and a cat that likes chicken. I like fish more than my cats do.
Instead of tuna for making salad for use on KETO bread I Use mackerel or sardines mixed with hard boiled eggs, chopped onions, garlic, serrano peppers, seasoned with tumeric, ginger, cheyenne and pink salt.Mix all with a REAL EVOO. Very good to eat on KETO bread or celery sticks!
How often do I eat fish? Well if you’re referring to or including my girlfriend… Every night of the week!
Is it okay to break a prolonged water fast with canned sardines?
These idiots said that you can eat BOTTOM FEEDERS like Shrimp and Oysters EVERYDAY.
I’ve been putting half a pie pumpkin in my juice. Like 10 things together. I think it helps me thin out fast
I always hated sardines in oils. Once I found sardine in water never turned back
I l9ve salmon. I always cut small portions of salmon fish whole into small.pieces for an everyday consumption 3x a day breakfast lunch and dinner, but not by itself I always have salmon fish raw with other healthy foods…eggs, spinach, capsicum and rice and avocado. I know it’s a uncommon diet but it’s all the foods that are good for you.
Opening a can of…u know what . I love sardines in 2020.
I’ll be sticking up on sardines when stuff shuts down again because SPIKES are happening again.
Pescatarian or Vegetarian? My main foods are vegetables but I also eat fish. I don’t eat chicken, beef, lamb and other meats.
Sardines and I eat em 5 times a week 6 if I’m working the weekends
Start at >>->> 4:17 <<-<< It's AFTER most of his preaching and world saving. BTW, none of these higher quality $eafoods are for poor people. It's still Vienna sausages for them.
I just discovered your channel..and it was because I skipped lunch today & decided to eat some raw pumpkin which was on the counter. I liked it..and I like this channel as well.
I am subscribing. Thank you for creating this channel..and putting out this great stuff out there.
1st good fish 4:20
2nd good fish 5:05
3rd good fish 6:06 (dude says its not really a fish)
1st bad fish 6:39 (SPOILER its sharks)
2nd bad fish 7:31
3rd bad fish 8:10
that guy talks at you for 9 minutes. I give you the facts
Thanks for the informative video! I like tuna and mackerel, but I’ll reduce eating them from now. The eco system involving tilapia and chicken you mentioned was one of my childhood’s memories. I’m from Vietnam. My relatives had a small pool in their yard, raising tilapias, ducks and chickens for their self-supplies and selling in the local market. Tilapia is one of the key ingredients in Vietnam cuisine. It’s quiet sad to know this type of fish is bad for health, because of unhygienic fish farms.
I try to eat fish every day and I avoid meats of any animal like, beef, lamb, chicken, pork (yuk) never!
Great vid. You did your research. And props for promoting sardines, they are so good (calcium, too!).
Sardines is where it’s at lads. Bottom of the food chain, least environmental toxins.
I think you have never fished your self, too much Gym mush go out and do some fishing or claming, oyster etc… then we can speak okey? it is kind of true what you saying but when it comes to eating it depends how you prepare the sea food you have caught…
The radiation from the fukushima daiichi power plant changes the whole game as well.
Good n sensible video mate thanks its basically right what you said But maybe you overlooked the link bellow it was shocking to me even i do Not eat farm salmon for a while now at least 10 years, its tasteless the colour looks sickly n when touched feels nothing like Real oily as the Real Alaskan wild Salmon is, our leaders n their buddies are just poisoning the world n us for their profits same the world over
Farmed Norwegian Salmon World’s Most Toxic Food
I wonder about mackerel, since it is comparable to sardins and taste good as well.
But japanese eat tons of different fish do they get mercury poisoning?
Tilapia is not just a farmed fish, dude. It has been a wild species since ancient Egypt. You can still fish for it, its a popular species off of the coasts of Africa as well as the southern United States.
Read Leviticus 11 from the Bible. Fish with scales are the only ones we can eat
um yeah most of the time good healthy quality fish is very expensive so
wild caught, pacific, fukushima salmon!?!? no thnx. I’ll pass. u need to be more on top of this deadly reality when suggesting pacific ocean fish choices sir.
Since I started eating fish 11 times a day I have put on a lot of weight and have become addicted to French fries
1:23 “HEARING about all these HEAVY METALS”?
Like what? Metallica?
Great vid as always! How about rainbow trout? (farmed). Which leads to the 2nd question: should all farmed be avoided at all costs?
Thank you for the info. But what about cod? It’s my favorite one.
***Thank you so much… I’m so glad I found you and subscribed! Could you do a video or share your thoughts about shrimp?? I don’t know if they have good nutrients but it is so popular and easily accessible for all to eat, but may be considered a poor quality bottom feeder???
but i thought mussels were bottom feeders and eat all the garbages of the ocean? thats why they are often the cheapest seafood (except for the fancy steamed ones that come in a pot)
what about if you purchase farm raised fish at whole foods or at least a purveyor that is sustainable? And what if you purchase the high-quality expensive tunas in the jar from whole foods?
Hey everybody, trick question. What builds muscle? Ill give you a hint, its not protein.
I added sea bass and sea bream in my diet about 2 months ago. I eat it 1-2 a week. Now, for the past month I have been feeling very sick. Could it be related? Are these fish not good for the health?????
On my native land of Trinidad, shark is a delicacy. I always knew there was something fishy behind the scenes of shark fishing.
Please list three fish that we should it. I didn’t get it right because of his pronunciation
I buy the chunk light tuna in water. Much lower mercury content. And canned wild caught salmon (with bones and skin) is soooo good for you!
Thank you so much for the info!! Do you have any info on Red Snappers? That’s what I mainly eat
Thank you!!! I’m actually happy now because I eat wild caught salmon mussels and sardines all the time. I did not know about the albacore thanks for letting me know I will avoid that now. Danny
You mention not to eat sardines in oil but do not explain why? Whats wrong with sardines in olive oil?
Why did she mention eating healthier instead of using vitamins? I thought excess vitamin intakes were simply disposed of when we use the bathroom
I put it with my oatmeal and might start mixing it with mashed sweet potato
The best shark to eat is gummy shark comes from clean untouched waters they also have little ammonia in there blood with a delicious flakey meat and they are fast growing which causes little mercury.
Ok so I’ve been a vegetarian for eight years of my life and am about to start eating meat again I’m just going to start with fish though
Very helpful video thanks
Well good thing i have 1 ton of pumpkins and every say i eat them or drink their juice
Is it absolutely awful to eat canned fish in oil? I’m trying to understand how it takes away from the benefit of the omegas in the fish? Isn’t it just adding calories and extra oil, but not taking away from what the tuna, salmon or Sardines naturally have?
I love this. sucks that I’m left with only sardines and salmon. what do you think of Snails and Catfish?
Wild planets products are amazing! I love their tuna and sardines! They’re high quality and taste great. Thanks to costco for carrying wild planets items.
Smoked oysters on pizza are fantastic. Thanks for sharing, lots of valuable information in this video.
Tom, I don’t follow you on your mackerel ranking, it is the most nutritionally dense and lowest mercury with only 260 calories in a tub. Could you please elaborate why you ranked it 5th.
King Oscar in extra virgin olive oil is top of the charts. In water it’s bland.
Thanx, I’ve been curious about this topic for a while…..great video!!!
Fish is my favorite meat, so much variety and it can be so healthy.
Well I live next to the coast in Queensland’s and as a 16 year old that always goes fishing and spear fishing after a good swim or surf and nothing beats the taste and health benefits of eating fresh fish from clean waters and untouched waters.
wow on a boat makeral i not a good fish to even keep is what we were told
In Italy we have them in extra vergin olive oil. Sounds OK for me…
Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals are another source of chemical contamination (plastic pollution)
Hello Thomas, i know you said to avoid canned fish in oil. Does that include olive oil. im on a keto diet btw.
So you’re saying extra virgin olive oil in canned fish is bad? Then why do others say olive oil is one of the world’s best and healthy oil?
In German super markets I cannot find any canned oysters. I can find cockles but they have a different nutritional profile. Could anybody list a few shellfish types that have similar benefits to oysters? Thanks in advance.
All fish is full of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCBs, antibiotics, cholesterol and is a leading cause of ocean depletion. Imagine eating that every day. Fish is not food. There are plenty of plant sources of omega threes.
Mackerel is a less fishy than Sardines in case you are considering this as an option AND Roe can usually be found at your Asian grocery such as the Japanese grocery
Awesome info, but don’t get them in water. Omega-3s need to be in oil to preserve properly. You don’t have to eat them, you can even rinse before eating if you want, but preserving in water is not as effective.
I dont know why but I suddenly have this strong urge for pumpkin seeds
I left right away when you start talking about likes and bell icons! Just start taking about the title subject please!
There are good reasons to limit meat consumption. 1. Fibre 2. Deoxycholic acid 3. Ammonia products. 2&3 are poisonous the body seeks to rapidly get rid of through kidneys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPxwULA5Kg4
Beware canned oysters-most are from China. All the coastal waters off China are contaminated with bacteria and heavy metals. One worrying trend-many canned fish suppliers do not supply COI.
I’ve been eating fish everyday for about a month now and I can now breathe underwater
Extra virgin olive oil would be a healthy oil. You should eat it every day.
Avoid the smoked oysters from China. I will not do any fish in water.
Before vid stats, sardines best by far. Most omega 3 and lowest mercury. Edit yay hes not sleeping on sardines.
What about white crab meat? I ate some eatlier and was curious about it
I got food poison( very bad) with canned oysters twice; there will never be a third time.
I tried some anchovies and they were super salty. I had two cans but after that I gave the other one to my coworker because I thought that there’s no way this can be good for you.
Does anybody know whether it matters where canned seafood is distributed/packed? I keep hearing to avoid seafood from parts of Asia like Thailand, Vietnam, or China because of lax regulations, and I often see countries outside of the US labeled on a lot of cans, but I can’t find any information on this.
Canned fish is such an underrated source of healthy protein and fat
Mussels not mentioned? high in iron, zinc and B12. Great for protein but low in fat (that’s why you add the butter to fresh but canned mussels are also yum).
I have never ever heard of Roe in my life. Otherwise good mention on all the main hitters it canned seafood ✊
I mainly try to get them in water, or at least in mustard or hot sauce. Then I later add organic olive oil to them, add a bit of salt and cayenne. I almost never eat them from the tin, and instead dump them into a bowl. I mainly do this because I find the sharp edges of the opened tin, low-key distracting, like I’m going to scrape my [metal] fork on the edge, or that I’m going to do the same when using a plastic fork, and whittle of plastic shavings into the ‘dines…
Salmon Patty’s are good and good for you I use crackers 1 egg some onion put in patty and cook yummy
It sure is healthier than your steroids, chemical prots and mass gainers.
I prefer the oil version, the water cans smell awful. I just get rid of the oil… Problem solved..
This is tremendous, thank you! I’m looking into eating way more fish. My Russian roomate works as a mover, all he eats is fish, potatoes, tea, vegetables and pasta. And he’s built like a brick outhouse! I dont even think he lifts as all! Just diet and manual labour.
I like the spicy sardines and the mustard ones too. Are those ingredients bad? I eat oysters in water so I’m good there. What about Herring Kippers? I like them on crackers, are they okay?
taking zinc can enlarge penis but has diminishing return to nonexistent effect in your 20s, so younger you are the better.
So yeah oyster…..
Tuna has high levels of mercury due to environmental pollution.
Of all places you had to make the study in Iraq…I remember when Vietnam had their healthy dose of Agent Orange. Also, you didn’t mention the role of Selenium in binding with the Mercury in fish, nor did you conclude if mercury is a naturally occurring contaminant. If so, people would have been dying more often with the vaccines containing mercury and its derivative.
I have read that farm raised oysters are raised in the same waters that wild oysters are, farm raised are kept in cages, the diet is the same as wild, do you know anything different
Im getting my sardines in olive oil though. Figured it was better…
hay i eat fish nothing happen i eat regular fish not potion anything
I would have thought Skipjack Tuna would be healthier than Yellow Fin Tuna?
Years ago I read that with canned fish in water, much of the nutrient leaches out into the water and is squeezed out when the water is drained. Not so with fish packed in oil. If true, might it not be best to buy fish packed in extra virgin olive oil, and pick out the fish from the can, then discarding most of the oil? Does this make sense? With salmon packed without extra water or oil, so much the better. Would love other’s opinions, particularly Thomas’s, if he is still monitoring this video, for which I thank him. Oh, and yeah for anchovies. They add depth of flavor to soups, stews and other dishes.
Sardines, can actually be about 60 different varieties of small, oily fish that are canned and commercialized as sardines, herring is sometimes canned and commercialized as sardines. I like my tuna, or sardine, on French or bolillo, with 1 egg white omelette, I eat this around 4:00 am daily, and this will hold me (No hungry) until around 5:00pm. I prefer tuna on water, sardines on water, but just sometimes on olive oil with peppercorn.
If it swims or crawls on the bottom of the ocean streams or lakes it welcome to dinner.
Don’t understand why you can’t get sardines in olive oil, isn’t that your fat intake on keto?
Enjoy, 20-40 years all of the fish will have been fished. Then it’ll be farmed or nothing. There’s next to zero enforcement out there in the deep deep. What I saw turned me vegan. Get ready for soy tuna.
Thomas DeLauer, You Forgot to Consider an important factor which is if the Canned Fish has any Chemical Preservative or Not?!
What is the benefit of a Low Carb Canned Fish which is filled with Nitrites, Sulfites, or other Chemicals Preservatives?!
Do yourself a favor familiarise yourself with Moses law of clean and unclean animals do what is right eat what you are suppose to eatobey the word of the Almighty and you won’t come short of your needs and even your wanting desires will be met at an appointed time of rest on the last day the day of judgnent
I just bought 5 canned Beach Cliff sardines in water. I eat it w squeezed lemon over Rice, an easy quick meal.
is swai fish & I’m a shrimp fiend LoL are those good?
I thought albacore was a high quality tuna I have some cans in my pantry they will exit left sticking to light tuna sardines
Buyer Beware: Any fish from farming in especially ASIAN countries……no thank you. So Dangerously Poluted. Raised in a tolet of sick fish, ponds full of carsingenes, antibioteics., and you name it. Plus the origin of the toxic feed source. Google it. I wish the author had noted this and origin of where the fish come from as well as the process locations. Saying this, it’s hard to find fish, from other countries. We need a list. Much is tied to China, yuk
I raise my own and process myself. Our family loves fish.
Hey Thomas which one you recommend King Oscar or wild planet sardines?
Healthy or not healthy who cares. Coronavirus killed 80k ppl they weren’t expecting
I’ve been eating mackerel like crazy (a few times per week) Didn’t realize that about the carbs. No wonder they hold me over for so long. I feel great after adding them to my diet. Definitely good after a workout.
9:20.
I wont forget that acronym
I always SMASH whenever I can.
Amazing info, BUT very curious about p65 warnings? Ive been eating sardines 4 or 5 times a week. I want to mix oysters in. How frequently can you consume canned fish? is daily okay???
I think it’s better to get them in water… you can add olive oil back in to the level you want..
I eat Chicken of the Sea canned Oysters too……but I prioritize fresh oysters over canned oysters. Trust me, fresh oysters taste much better and they’re much bigger!!!! More expensive of course. Kroger’s sell a 4oz container of it for $11.99.
The 1-year-experiment-guy actually proved that it might not be healthy eating fish every day, so keep a good balance
One serving of oysters has 6 mg of carbohydrates, I would say that’s low compared to most fruits or starchy vegetables
Low mercury fish ok like trout high mercury fish harm our health
so this joker has been hired by fish companies or the government to promote fish eating. Consuming mercury is beneficial? do me a favour! there are so dangers to eating fish now days and he doesn’t bother to mention any of them. wonder why? wake up people
