Thanks for this video! I can now eat figs since I know which varieties do not contain wasps. I would be horrified if I cut into a fig and found a wasp.
I just ate a bag full of homegrown figs from Mother’s yard in Florida. What kind of suprise am I in for?

How do you protect your tree from racoons and squirrels? It is only the 2nd year that our tree started getting fruit, but while we wait for them to ripe, the local fauna gets them before we do.
I’m so glad the Holy Spirit led me to your channel…. May God bless you for this helpful information that you have researched

Soy productor de higo orgánico en Morelos, México, podrían ayudarme a colocar mi producto en usa?
I happened to buy a fig tree thinking it was the “common” kind which is the dark purple “fruit”, but turns out it is not. The riped fig from my tree is yellow, and stale because I thought it was premature ripen by Phoenix heat, but inside is red, and very sweet when I tried one. I wonder what kind I accidentally got? is it dangerous when eating unripe fig? Thanks.
YAY I OWN A FIG TREE IN MY BACK YARD, ALONG WITH A LEMON TREE AND ANOTHER FRUIT I FORGOT THE NAME, LONG LIVE CALIFORNIA!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Common figs do not require wasp fertilization because the wasp isn’t available in most of US.
I came looking for the difference between “Smyrna” and “Calimyrna” figs.
We used to see “Calimyrna” at Costco, and now they only have the “Smyrna”. The nutritional info on the back of the Calimyrna seemed to show more nutritional value (more of a particular vitamin and mineral, can’t remember which one just now but ones that were the main reason to consume them) than the Smyrna ones available there now… Don’t know if I should try to find Calimyrna ones instead or just buy the Smyrna ones.
Thanks for the information. Interesting video.
Figs are a natural laxative that will make you poo a lot. Watch this video to learn how many different ways this can be restated.

I get my dried figs from Costco since I don’t know where to purchase fresh ones. I have noticed that some of it are darker than others and taste sour. Is this normal? The light colored ones taste sweet, but the dark ones, looks like they are wet, tastes very sour. Thanks.

By being fertilized by wasps (wasps inside figs) we become more resistant to parasites of the flying type. Why? Beacause we eat the very poison of the wasp and it does amazing things. Because the fig is shaped like the gall-bladder which captures and encapsulates internal parasites by paralyzing them with acid. This is natures way of letting us know which special fruits cure certain organs. How I know? When you have a gall-bladder full of stones mosquitos eat you up on your shins and forearms which nature again is telling us something…at the lower bottom of my abdomen and at the lower part of my limbs reflect a weakness and the moquito pin points it. Do you see?
I bought dried figs and opened them a month or so ago. Then I went on holidays for a month. Now Im back and the figs are here. Im having tea. Im thinking about eating those figs with my tea. Ive read online they stay good for awhile. Do you think those figs would be okay to eat still???
Im hoping you see this question in the next 5mins and reply as, knowing me, I will probably end up eating them very shortly anyway!!!! (:
Figs are one of the most ancient foods cultivated by humans. There is also some controversy about whether or not they contain dead wasps. Find out more in this video!
