I weighed 137kg (302lbs) on January 10 2020. I followed a Keto diet for 11 weeks then did a 27-day food fast ending on 23 April 2020. I was at 114kg (251lbs) on day 21 so now i would be somewhere lower than that (i don’t have scales at home to check atm).
I had no hunger on the fast at all or any significant bodily complications. I was aiming for 40 days but decided to stop at the first instance of vomiting (just clear water, nothing gross). It may not have been anything serious and i believe it may have been due to stress from not enough sleep caused by me staying up late watching movies every night.
My goal weight is 90kg (198lbs) and i plan to start another extended fast next weekend and be a bit more disciplined with getting more walking and sunlight and going to bed at a reasonable hour and see how long i get without being sick. Then i can do the slow race these guys are talking about to maintain it by never eating shit again like biscuits, pizza, sodas, etc. My love of these foods has completely gone because now i can eat all the butter and mayonaise and fatty meat i want and it is tastier and more satiating anyway.

Intermittent fasting is a way to help you intuitively reduce your daily caloric intake but without you having to count or track them. Over my lifetime, I’ve lost THOUSANDS of pounds… and gained them all back. This is due to the fact that the body has reset the mitochondria to burn fat and now your body is restored to “flex fuel” where both carbs and fat can be burned for energy. I find it interesting that some people find the Keto diet so “unhealthy”. Because highly processed foods and sugar are superfoods, right..ughh..no. The essence of Keto is very healthy whole foods filled with vitamins and minerals. Yes, it includes high amounts of fat as well. However, a large amount of the American diet is filled with high amounts of sugar in those carbs being consumed. Sugar may taste better, but it does nothing for you except give you fake short-term energy, health issues, and leave you wanting more. Keto isn’t about binging on eggs, bacon, and red meats. There is more to it. I thought the same until I did my own research. Just do a search for clean keto recipes and you will find so so many delicious and healthy new things to try. Once you get over the sugar addiction, you will be surprised at how much healthier you feel and how you don’t need the processed carbs and sugar. Veggies have carbs, but no long-named and hard to pronounce chemical additives literally making you crave more or messing with your body’s chemistry. Change your frame of mind. Do your own research. Don’t be lazy..learn. Even cutting out sugar and lowering your carb intake will make a difference. Read the labels when you shop for food. Is the ingredient list long? Someone please answer this question: Is it 100% necessary to exercise while on this diet? I work a physically demanding job that forces me to walk a lot, lift heavy things, and squat for 5 whole hours. When I get home I am too tired to do cardio, but I do go out on a walk for 30 mins everyday. Then I do some abdominals/crunches before I rest for the day. Is this enough exercise or do I need to do a lot more to lose weight? Sorry if this is explained on the video, I haven’t finished watching it
