Add a large egg to the egg yolk that you reserved when making the English muffin. Cover with a small saucer and microwave 20 seconds at a time until done to your liking. Usually about 60 seconds total for me.Ingredients 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (1/2 ounce; 15g), softened, divided 1 English muffin, split 1 slice high-quality Canadian bacon Nonstick cooking spray 1 large egg Kosher salt.
Assemble your Egg McMuffin by placing a piece of cheese on a warm half of English muffin. Remove a baked egg from the muffin pan and place on top of the cheese. Add slice of Canadian Bacon and then top with other half of English muffin.
Place butter in a coffee cup and melt in the microwave. Swish the liquid butter around the cup a little. Now, crack the egg into the coffee cup; cover with a paper towel, and microwave for about 45-60 seconds.
Meanwhile, toast and butter your English muffin.ADD egg mixture to pan, coating evenly across the bottom of the pan. 5. PLACE 2 pieces of bread onto the egg mixture, coating each side in the still-uncooked egg and arranging in a column across the pan. Allow to cook for 1-2 minutes.
6. Using a large spatula, FLIP the entire egg-and-bread circle to ensure both sides are cooked through. If not.a slice of butter lettuce thinly sliced radishes sliced avocado a sprinkle of hot sauce.

That’s not bacon. That’s ham. Completely different cuts of pork. Saying bacon is the same as ham is like saying gowl is the same as ground beef. Real bacon isn’t even cut from regions other the belly. Again, real bacon. Way to go CA-na-DI-an-S. I could see if you were using Prosciutto. That’s an excellent bacon substitute. Not cut from the same side, but still contains the same fat/pork ratio.

Main difference is that McDonald’s never toasts the muffins enough. They just warm them enough to melt the butter. Still have a raw flour taste.
You can do this same thing veganized with JUST egg poured into the Ball Jar lids, sprouted genesis 1:29 English muffins, beyond meat sausage patties, and vivolife vegan cheddar cheese. The trick to make the vivolife cheese the best is to put it straight on the griddle pan for about 10 secs and then flip them onto the English muffins.

I buy turkey bacon at Aldi and recently discovered their fully cooked breakfast sausage, both link and patty. All of it is good tasting. I’d rather use a lightweight pan to keep the muffins from doming. Heating cans may not be the safest thing to do to the contents, plus the tops and bottoms can harbor germs which then transfer to the bread.
Please consider using lard! Crisco and all of the hydrogenated shit is really shit. USE LARD
What makes McDonalds so good is the spices in their breakfast sausage. I’ve tried many store-bought breakfast sausages and tried making my own with a couple recipes, but I can’t replicate theirs. It’s just so good IMO. I never get the bacon or ham version.
Mac Ds doesn’t butter or oil the English muffins nor do they fry brown the egg nor do they put bacon on it (Canadian ham disc) the cheese is yellow and not real cheese. Couple of suggestions, use real cheese and place it on top of the eggs when you cook them. When cooking the eggs, use a silicone egg ring (3-$5 on eBay).

In the past I’ve had great success freeing eggs from normal egg rings by separating the egg from the ring with a wooden tooth pick, suspect that a tooth pick would work as well with a mason jar lid…Cheers.
You really shouldn’t use metal utensils on non-stick pans. Those microscopic flakes that come off are more harmful to our health than most people realize. But thanks for the tips!

My neighbor makes the best traditional home made curries and Indian sides much better than a takeaway but does take more time the process for making a curry though is fun and you can make it entirely your own spice wise at home

You are very nice..just a tip..best not to use a stainless steel spatula on any pan except a stainless steel pan. When you go to scoop under the egg or hamburger etc be sure to give a good strong deliberate push all the way don’t be afraid or timid. This makes sure you get it all on the wider spatula all at once. When you flip..same thing..be deliberate and twist your wrist all in one swift move. Be confident and that is the secret. I liked your video thank you if you are still here on earth! I can see your video is old now.

When you said homemade from scratch, you have to make the English muffin, sausage or ham and the only exception should be the cheese and egg. Especially sausage or the ham or bacon must be made from scratch

I made this ring out of a tuna can. I cooked it with 2 eggs and the sandwich was good. I found a corn can that is slightly bigger but I was able to get a cleaner cut on both side. I love eggs cooked this way. If I get a jar lid, I will try it this way.

Did it take your 10 minutes or less to cook the egg, canadian bacon and assemble? If so, then that’s another way you can look at it. You could make the buns before hand, freeze them / store them, and make as many as you want when you want them.
Make 16 English Muffins on a slow Sunday. Keep them in the refrigerator all week and use them for the week to make your egg McMuffins.
Plus, you have to factor in the cost of the employee’s wages of the time it takes to make and serve you the McMuffins @ McDonald’s. You factored in your time, but you ignore their time. Not a fair comparison.
Time to Time Comparison is needed.
Lets say it takes 10 people $200/hr to make 10,000 English Muffins Total. That is $0.50 / English Muffin
So $0.50 x 16 English Muffins is $8/hr cost per English Muffin to produce your home-made muffins if you get paid $20/hr. to bake them for McDonald’s at the factory.
So to make your Homemade English Muffins (from what I can gather from the video). 15 Minutes to Mix Ingredients + 1 Hour of Rising + 15 minutes of Making the Circles + 15 Minutes of Rising Circles then 15 Minutes to Cook.
So that’s 2 Hours from start to finish for the English Muffins. That is a cost of $40 per 16 English Muffins for a Fresh Home-Made Product.
Bacon and Eggs total cook time would be around 2 Minutes for Bacon + Eggs around 3 Minutes so 5 Minutes of total time (even though it’s really only 3 cause you cook them at the same time).
so at $20/hr. it cost you $1.67 to make the insides. So lets say you can only do 4 at a time that is x4 so $6.68 for the whole batch worth of bacon and eggs.
Assembly of 1 minute of $0.34 @ $20/hr. (i’m just going to assume it takes you 2 minutes to assemble 16 Egg McMuffins) so this $0.68 to make all of them.
So total cost of 16 would be: $47.36 to make 16 Home-Made Egg McMuffins.
You had 4, so yours cost you $11.84 for the 4.
How much did the ones from McDonald’s cost you? One would have to assume they are in it for the profit, so it costs more to buy from the restaurant than it did to make, probably by at least 30%.
So do a rough guesstimate of -30% for the cost of buying the McDonald’s versions.
That is the math that we want to know.
I am going to add this in. I went to A&W this morning to get two Bacon and Eggers and it cost me $6.86 CAD for two. So that’s $13.72. So -30% would be $10.55 as the Cost of Two of them (Probably a lot less due to volume but). That means if I got 4 of them, it would cost them $21.10 to make the 4 Bacon and Eggers at A&W. And it takes me 5 minutes to get them.
That is $3.52 / Minute for each Bacon and Egger. (Takes 5 minutes)
McDonald’s would be $1.97 / Minute for each Egg McMuffin. (Takes 10 Minutes)

I bought some of those round silicone rings and they are just ok. They do not sit flat and the egg oozed out the side but they do not stick in the ring. If you have the pan sort of hot and pour the egg slowly into the ring it is better. Also, heat the ring so that it is more limber and clingy to the pan. I believe the silicone ring is superior to your method based on removing the ring. Thanx for the vid.

I was told McDonalds is known as the 100% pure Diabetes Restaurant. But I think that’s only if you eat McDonalds everyday for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, there is a risk that you can get diabetes very easily. i make these all the time, hubbys favorite, i use the silicone egg ring too it works perfect, i remove the ring after the egg is mostly cooked, flip it, toss on cooked bacon and a slice of cheese and melt it in the pan, i like melted chese on mine, you all need to try these they are great

Those rings are coated with some sort of plastic so they don’t rust. I wouldn’t get them hot. Who knows what’s burning off into your eggs.
At the risk of telling you something you already know. There is an attachment for the bowl of the mixer to add ingredients so they slide in easier. Im a newbie to your channel and so far hooked.

I followed the directions on this sandwich; but I did it in this order: Protein (sausage), EGG, Muffin and I broiled the cheese on top of the egg before I topped it. We like our muffins nice and crisp and not floppy. I had potatoes o’brien in my ninja foodi while I was assembling the sandwich. It was a HIT with my picky eater son. He ate the whole thing! I realized you can substitute the protein with whatever you like: ham, chicken, pork chop, even steak!! and the egg can be scrambled instead of ‘hard cooked’ ; can be topped with avocado and tomato… many ways to do this one.. Thanks for taking me through it. Beats coughing up 4.75 for a SINGLE Sausage Egg McMuffin

It is a skillet that is non stick, sort of heavy. The pan is not really anything very special. For this recipe most any pan you use for your eggs would work well.

Yesterday I ordered my egg rings on amazon and my english muffins from Asda. I’ve got the hash browns in my freezer, eggs in my fridge and Ima use turkey rashers instead of bacon as I dont eat pork. Its gonna go down next week in this house
