I am considered an endomorph…. I guess when I was 15 to 18 i actually was moving enough to accommodate the body type and generally slimmed down which made me look not such a big guy if that makes sense… yet the arms and the thighs as well as the torso was shaped so, heavy set that it kind of gave me body dysmorphia not understanding it because i literally thought i was relentlessly a fatass.

I came here because I started working out for a hour and a half everyday since I was 13 I’m 14 now. When I first started working out I was so skinny to the point that my doctors said it was dangerous. I only weighed 78 pounds when I started. I now am 130 pounds and am in the best shape of my life I am a mesomorph. Before I couldn’t so a set of 15 lifting 10 pound weights. Now I can lift 20-30 pound weights with a set of 30-40. Hard work really does pay off.

I’m none of them. Just unathletic as fuck, low T at young age, wide hips, skinny wrists, lanky build and relatively narrow shoulders. I don’t have the “advantage”of any of these builds. But despite this I have been able to turn my body from skinny-fat to strong and lean with 6 months of hard work on TRT. I finally lift respecteable numbers now and look good. So my point is that no matter what body type you think you are, you can always improve on what you already have. If your diet, training and hormone levels are in check, you WILL gain muscle, gain strength and burn fat long as you progressively overload.

It’s absurd to think that there isn’t more variation to human bone and muscle structure than the theory suggests.

i myself have more of a problem with the actual types, but it does seem real, not due to bone structure, but due to genetics for sure, I am about 1m76 or so long, but with very broad shoulders and i find it easy to gain mass, fat easiest but muscle as well, i eat no fastfood anymore, drink very little alcohol and drink no soda or fruit juice what so ever
i also started going to the gym allmost dayly, all i truly want is to lose the fat and show the muscle underneath it, (and build my muscles up even more)

you say endo’s would have trouble gaining muscle and losing fat, most others say they have trouble losing fat but not to build muscle, most look at it as one of the extremes, and meso in the middle between the two
now i have come to dispute that the types are real in themselves, but the differences in metabolysm most certainly are real, but are not tied to your bone structure, my best friend in high school was pretty ripped, but he could not gain mass at all, no matter what, and he ate like crazy, yeah yeah, i know the counter to that, “it is all in your/his mind, he probably does not eat that much at all”
no, me and him were at boarding school together, and took the exact same classes, we did sports together and ate together, i gave him my deserts half the time, and his mother was fully convinced that he must have had a parasite having taken him for a check up at least 3 times, (she believed he must have had a tapeworm) he did not have one, but his metabolysm is just that way,
me the oposite, i gain mass easy as fuck, sadly fat easiest of all, at my heaviest i weighed 106 kilos, now it is 90ish, i lost a lot of weight at some point, then went into limbo as i watched what i ate and exercised just enough a day to keep it stable,
my point in all this is that these bodytypes may not be real, but the differences in metabolysm are, my bones wil not differ much from my affore mentioned friend, but in terms of bodytype we were vastly different,
I think the best thing to do is to use it, build more muscle mass and do HITT for burning fat and so on, another channel said that i should do weigths first and then do cardio to maximize fat burning, I think i might do so

Okay I’m extremely late to this but I’m 5’8″ 290lbs I been working out almost 2 years now with little to no progress I workout 5 times a week mostly just jogging I jog 2.8 miles every day and I spend at least 30 minutes on a heavy bag every morning. I eat 3 meals a day coming out to about 1700 calories a day if anyone who is educated in fitness sees this can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong! Last summer before I started getting into watching my calories I was pretty much well set, I used to be able to bench 400 pounds, leg press 900 pounds, didn’t realize how much it helped intel I hit my head and kinda maybe sent my body into shock, took 8 cops to hold me down and my cousin said I was still dragging them, reminded i know now that I’m an Endomorph, and I’m only 19

Good point, but that’s why we have the in-betweens, like ecto-endo, ecto-meso, meso-ecto and meso-endo, where we can have big boned+fast metabolism and the opposite.
Bone structure cannot correlate with metabolism, but that doesn’t invalidate the theory, just proves the correlation it makes isn’t real. But sure these body frames and types are seen on our everyday lifes, even if it’s inbetweens or more prototypical ones.

You can’t change your body type, but you can change the way you look based on which muscles you focus. If you have wide hips like me, do ab toning exercises to get the obliques, do lat exercises to get the triangle chest, and NEVER skip leg day… triangle chest and big legs make your waist look thin.

I always noticed that the big ripped guys are never the strongest guys. You see me and I only weighed 160 pounds and I looked a bit soft, but I always out muscled the guys I wrestled that were heavier than me. If you are in great shape, and carry excess fat, you are going to be stronger than everyone that’s the same weight as you.
Just being honest. It’s okay to categorize people by objective fact. Everyone has different goals and different body types. But here’s the thing. Just because someone is at a certain level of a certain body type does not mean that can’t change it. They can indeed. It just involves a lot of effort time and changes in training. It’s definitely possible.

So I’m strong. When I was 13 I was deadlifting 375 and squatting 250 and I was able to run my mile in 6:04 while the ripped kid got 6:27. It really does pay off to work hard. Science has its truths but everyone’s different. But it is true that I did push-ups with dictionaries in my backpack to act as a weight vest but I drank a lot of energy drinks that helped recover amino acids and other recovery vitamins. And it took some weed ofc and some machete swinging, I watched alot of anime, and chopping trees and splitting logs.
Edit: Extra. Ages 8-15 should be able to run a mile under 6:30.

I’m 75 percent endomorph and 25 percent mesomorph. This is rubbish. While the 3 somatopes are probably a massive oversimplification, and while self-labelling yourself into one of these categories is probably mostly counterproductive, there are absolutely pretty startling differences between peoples’ bodies and how they respond to exercise. You need to get to know your body, how it responds to exercise, nutrition, rest, injury, etc., and exercise to your specific goals in the ways that work best for you. That’s it. Unfortunately it takes years of trial and error to figure out what works for you, and most people don’t have that level of dedication and patience.

As far as my personal experience goes…..Tripling my carbs and doubling my protein was the only way to get actual noticeable growth. Not to mention a whole different way of working out.

I barely have to do cardio anymore, although I did when I was losing weight. I’ve put on 15 pounds in my current bulk (last few months) and am looking pretty big right now, pretty far from a six pack but also muscular… Not sure if I even care about rock hard abs as long as I’m not gaining fat and I keep putting on a lot of muscle

Wait, i don’t understand a lot, and im not a guy with a lot of knowledge about those things.
But, i mark that the main thing in thise diet is carbs.
Carbs is sugar, with that the body is making energy, If the body gets more sugar than he needs for producing energy, the body produces the energy to fat.
So, or we can just keep stoking fat and lose them while training, or we can use all the energy that we get then be tierd.
The problem with carbs is that between 2 and 4 Hours the energy is gone and then we need to eat again carbs, because if we dont we start to starve, usually its like that.
But! There is an other way,
Keep low carbs, and height fat, sounds wired i know, but when we stop eat sugars (carbs) after 2 week the body understands that he don’t have sugar to produce energy so he start to eat the fat (remember? The carbs that was unused) and with those fat produce energy. Well, like that the body can have access to “infinite energy”, and there will bot be drops of energy.
Like that you can lose your fat every time all the time, even while sleep and even without exercise.
While eating carbs you cant get in this mode of “self eat fats”.
What do you think? And what are you propose me to do?

Great advice.. especially the ‘labelling’ aspect I can relate cause once I tell myself I’m a certain way I tend to make excuses. However, I feel knowing your body type is fantastic because it can allow you and guide you to be one step closer to the body you want to achieve. Before knowing I was an ‘endomorph’ I always blamed myself and never understood why I couldn’t shred my weight quickly. But now it’s like a weight has being lifted and now I know all I need to do is be very consistent with my diet So to me the labels are very useful! #Teamendomorph lol

I was a skinny kid but in my 20’s I think I was the 3rd one. Now in my 40s I definitely know I’m the 3rd one as I can still build muscle quickly and still have a decent stomach and eat what I want with minimal training. Great video.

My favorite post workout (cheat meal) is a protein shake and my flavor of the month bagels! From time to time I will also include the fat free Pop Tarts if I can find them! I try to always keep the fat calories low and the carbohydrates naturally higher after that workout is finished for my meal! The finish line never tasted sweeter!

Some people are ectomorphs with slow metabolism so they have small bones but gain weight. Some people are endomorphs but have fast metabolism they are stocky but their body metabolizes quickly its not that simple. I do agree mind over matter. I am a Meso-Endomorph and my metabolism is not fast at all. I would say due to genetics. I eat clean and exercise but its an uphill battle.

I’m definitely an endomorph. It’s extremely easy for me to gain muscle but I’m also very restrictive on what I eat and the amount of calories I have per day. I get jealous sometimes of my friends who can just put food away all day long hahahaha but then again they lift everyday same as me yet don’t see any results so there’s a positive side to everything

People saying it wasn’t three months… some of us may work in an industry where we already look naturally toned or husky. But lack of cardio or constant vigorous weight distribution in a healthy way may be needed for a “3 month transformation”.
