Hi Schellea….closer to 70 than 50 but I’ll try……enjoyed the 1 mile walk and will endeavour to do this religiously for the 14 weeks. Not ready for the other exercises just yet and don’t want this to become a chore I need to enjoy what I’m achieving regardless of how small a change.

I’ve been doing therapy for around 2 most I feel I’m ready to walk with out a therapists at my side but I don’t want to fall but I feel I’m ready I could lay around another month but I’m ready to go. I been trying on a cane and Walker both Never have walkedun assisted. But I need to get movin or I’m gonna lose my job. They are wantin for me to heal but I feel I’m ready cause I got strength and balance.

HI DR. T, even though I’m way passed this stage is, one suggestion isyou do these exercises is, in the corner if you loose your balance. To add complexity, close you eyes to some of these exercises. Btw, most of us lost control of both hand and leg, you cant switch objects from one hand to another. For walking, one should walk in the hallway.

Have Parkinson’s and transverse myelitis and walk with a rollator. This video takes what I have learned from my own PT and adds to it. I am able to do most of the activities on squishy foam (with a grab bar close) and you’ve given me some new ideas to try. Thanks!

When I walk I always move my arm diagonal, up and sideways at first it was impossible but it is a little easier now. What I realize is that if I lose my balance my unaffected hands goes up and try to balance me out but my affected arm doesn’t move.

You are so good!! I have PLS/spastic Paraplegia, RA, peripheral neuropathy and more. I walk with a walker. I do many of your stroke exercises. They seem to be the most fitting for many of my disabilities. Do you have any exercises more specific to spasticity and also ones to maintain my muscle strength. I am in Assisted Living and their therapy isn’t the greatest. I am very faithful to all of my exercises. Do you give private on line sessions? Pauline age 79

I had a right brain ischemic stroke 3 years ago at the age of 65. Before that I was fairly fit and active. Now I have paralysis on my
left side ( very inconvenient when you’re dominant left handed). With the help of my therapists my balance has improved greatly from the early stages. I have a custom AFO which allows me to walk safely in the community using a 4 point stick (“cane”), although I am not confident walking on downhill inclines and it is a struggle to haul myself over a kerb. I realise the AFO is necessecary for safety however I’m concerned that it prevents improvement in my foot and ankle control. I can’t even move the toes on my affected foot. I would be interested to hear your opinion on the pros and cons of long term use of an AFO. My immediate goal is to walk unassisted ( your video on walking without a cane was very helpful) and if a miracle occurs I would like to be able to run again because I was previously a keen runner.

Awareness is awesome. Thanks! I never think of yoga in terms of levels, as the most consciousness and breath-control can be married with “simple” poses, and sometimes the physically challenging poses don’t seem the most suited for deepening a practice. I also have found that sometimes videos labeled by others as “advanced” are simply quicker-paced, leaving little time for body awareness. We’ll see. I love your attention to all the small things!

I really enjoyed this work out. It fit into my day, I also included the 10 minute tummy trimmer standing abs work out that is great since I don’t have to get down on the floor. My goodness this one is a ‘good time fit’ for me. One day I can do this one and my abs, the next day I can fit this one in and my arms, etc. I love the positive upbeat ‘tips’ to do thru our day and what muscles area of our body we are working to tone and lose the fat and pounds. Your great at what you do, I found your series after I prayed to JESUS in one of my novena’s. I am Roman Catholic. Jesus, and angels blessed me with your series. That’s amazing, good for you. My husband and I are both 70 years old, we are shielding due to age and my blood pressure problems. We decided that we needed to exercise to try and keep active. We started out using a plan for older people which was ok but not very challenging. Someone recommended Leslie’s videos we really didn’t think we’d be able to do it. However we tried and found we could. We are now doing the 30 min cardio walk twice a day and this one once a day. We are from the north of England in UK We’ve never felt so fit and well our average is 5 miles a day. And loving it. Thanks Lesley x

There are a lot of yoga videos on YouTube, but Five Parks Yoga is the best. Erin is very considered in her choice of asanas and the ones she includes in sequences… she’s fabulous. The pace is also important and in these videos the pace is exactly right for beginners, intermediates & advanced students the longer you can hold an asana, the more beneficial for your internal organs and your mind.
This is an awesome workout. I love 30 seconds on each circuit. Let’s keep it going feeling great

Good morning Erin! Today is my rest day and I just did this at 6am! The 5 min shavasana in the beginning was so hard for me as I am always impatient with that hold but I did it! Thank you Leslie after work and a train commute home I’m so tired. Leslie With your energy and positivity it gets me ready to work out at home and burn calories which I have no excuse not to work out. A very nice friend Patty I met on the train told me to try your videos at home and I did as of last week and plan to continue. Also a co-worker told me on Monday about your awesome happy mile walk video which I told her I’m doing your work outs as of last week. I’m gonna keep doing your work outs at home to be healthy in life. I’m letting other co-workers and friends and patients and the physician I work with know about your videos too so they can work out at home and there is no excuse.
I have a little bit of difficulty doing the first exercise where you move your legs out out and in in. Can I incorporate another exercise into the routine on that first one. I feel so great afterwards. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

I really like these 60 minute classes. Could you please do more slow flow ones as with this one I found that by the time I got into one pose properly it moved into the next so I didn’t feel the full benefit of the poses. You are the best yoga teacher on YouTube.
