What should I do if my machine doesn’t have inclined function.
10 minutes leaves me no excuse to NOT do this.
Just started back on my elliptical after a 2-year hiatus. Searching for something that emulated a guided workout at the gym.
Made it all the way through the 10min! It’s simple, but kicked my butt! I love the countdown on the screen. I turned down the volume so I don’t wake my people but the countdown is large enough to see from several feet away. No excuses. Thanks so much!!!
This worked me in just twenty minutes..as a HIIT workout should. Easily modifiable workout for the exerciser’s fitness level. The trainer gave good prompts and explanations. I will do more of her workouts as she was also positive yet firm.

Just curious about your resistance and incline levels. If my elliptical (a precor amt 835) has both on a scale of 1-20, do I still want resistance and incline at 10 (50% of max for my machine)

glad I found this. I lost fifty pounds last year just on straight treadmill work, and changing the way I eat. I’ll start giving the elliptical a try to see if I can lose 30 more pounds this year. Before I got sick, I just used to live in the weight room pushing and pulling.

Wow!! That was a great workout. I kept thinking this is so easy but my heart is racing. The trainer said exactly what I needed to hear at just the right time. Love this tutorial! I’ve always been more of a threadmill person but had been wanting to switch things up a bit with something low impact but still get a good workout. Strangely enough, my gym has over a dozen elliptical of various models but only 3 of them are the ones with the ramp and settings described here.
Wow I have been trying to get fit the past month now I found this video yesterday and could not get through it I stopped twice because I couldnt breathe [asthma]…. Today [just now] completed it and Im so tempted to attempt round 2!!
I like that workout PDF file for the elliptical has many benefits, Great job creating that, I’m disappointed since I just got a gym membership considering I was only running and jogging outdoors I got on the elliptical to attempt to follow the instruction on that PDF file one elliptical was called Precor it had the SPM but it didn’t have the swinging arms to hold onto, then they had a elliptical machine called matrix where it gave RPM Only an settings labeled L1 L2 for elevation.. Just wish The other machine has swinging arm grrrr. But a very nice detailed PDF file

Hey Adrian. Thanks for this video. I’ve done it several times now and intend to keep using it. It’s great. I wonder however, if you’re able to redo the voiceover, to reinforce with positive statements rather than negative statements.
So instead of saying thing like ‘dont quit’ or ‘ I know you want to get off but don’t get off’ can you rather say things like ‘stay on, keep going’.?
This other video of yours is better ( https://youtu.be/qbk0QAzw0Qc) with regards to positive word use so that one is more inspiring. As the brain hears negative words easier than it does positive words, all I hear through this video is ‘quit quit quit’ and ‘get off get off get off’.
I would still continue to use this video, but if you happen to have a spare half an hour to redo the voice over, they’re be awesome.

Hi Alyssia, there’s no crossramp settings on the elipticals at my gym. There’s just resistant, and they even don’t show spm or rpm but speed in km/h. Do you have any tips for that kind of machines?

What would you say if the “average” speed for s beginner? I tired the elliptical and I was dying after 7 minutes, I don’t understand why. I’ve seen ladies who can last over an hour on that thing.

Going backwards works a different set of muscles. When going backwards, kind of “sit” into it. That works more of your butt muscles, you can definitely feel the burn!

17 and struggled with weight issues my whole life tbh 5’4 and weigh 192-5…pretty bad but im gonna start doing this tomorrow plus doing boxing also lol but i really hope this will help..i try so hard to lose weight and never gave up but my body just didnt agree with me and i struggled to lose weight so i quit and gain more wait for a couple years but im tired of how i look and i hate feeling so uncomfortable with my own skin…i grew up hating my body and everyone calling me names but now im gonna try really hard again and this time im not giving up like i did a couple years ago. I just dont want to lose weight, i want to regain my confidence and not feel so insecure and feeling trapped in my body cuz im so tired of not being able to look in the mirror without hating my body
I do full 30 minutes 5 times per week, haven’t started diet yet. But I do this full 30 minutes in the same speed, not as fast as I can but fast, like running. I am 16% bodyfat, can I drop to 8% if I include diet?
Ironically I planned to use the elliptical tomorrow at the gym, thanks for the upload 8) I usually do interval training with it but I don’t plan them so well, I’ll give this a try! For a suggestion, I’d love to see any tips/tutorials/advice on some ways to tone/gain some lean muscle. As a chronic runner, strength training is something I need more help to understand and to learn to enjoy. I hear a lot of conflicting opinions (for females especially) when it comes to how heavy to lift vs. how many reps to do, I’m curious about your opinion on it! I’m in need of some healthy muscle mass, but unsure how to go about it? And thanks again for sharing this vid!

Very well explained. Thank you. However I don’t think I can go up to a resistance of more than 5 now. Sob. I resumed my work out two months back after break of 5 years. I am 5’8″ and 193 lbs. I haven’t been able to burn more than 200 cal in 30 minutes. So you are right. I am getting cozy on my trainer and not really challenging myself. I can’t do the treadmill as it makes me dizzy on stopping it. Hope to build up gradually.

If I say I want to do this around 2 or 3 times a day how long should my break be before I start again. While doing the 10 min one it does wear me out but after a while I’m ready to hop back on and try again.
My elliptical only has an elevation of 8, so I stayed there a while. Good workout.

Hey, i’m kinda new to all this “workout” thing, so I just wanted to share my opinion. I got eliptical trainer (HMS h9224) about a week ago and being someone who never excercised (i used to walk 12-13 km a day before, but I don’t count it as a work out) I didn’t know how to do a proper work out. And then I stumbled upon your workout videos. AMAZING. I tried this one and actually was super surprised when you said that its only a minute and a half left:D anyway, thank you so much! i might not lose weight fast, but god damn i fell much better after doing this workout for 6 days

I was really excited to try this, but my gym, which has a lot of equipment (probably 5 different kinds of ellipticals), didn’t have a machine with ramp settings or SPM. I felt like a lunatic getting on and off of each machine checking the settings (display only comes on when you start moving). Sad face.

this was my 1st day I did 20 minutes. But my heart rate was way beyond the ideal rate to burn fat not sugar. I had to slowdown to make it worth my while.

I am definitely one of those people who like to have that pace to match when doing cardio so I often go to the treadmill, but the eliptical feels so much better on my joints! I just mix some oats with greek yogurt ( and sometines honey ) and voila! Also, when I really need something sweet I use nutella instad of yogurt and it’s delicious. Hope you liked it!:)
Started with the Elliptical, I always switch direction but not the inclined, will try today thanks, but now I noticed and fell in love with The Lateral machine still trying to figure it out, so if your gym have that machine could ya please do a video, so love your channel, your treadmill is my favorite routine to do now especially when I get bored with running indoors..lol. TFS
Looks ok. But, please get rid of the music. In some spots you cannot hear the trainer, that defeats the purpose.
My machine doesn’t calculate SPM, it does MPH instead. Any suggestions?
When you were doing this, did you engage your core? I’ve seen some people say we should engage our core but it’s so hard for me, I can barely do 2min if I engage my core

I dno if my elliptical at home has incline… but it has the resistance up and down. Dno what incline is… the setting mode level?
