If you’ve not heard of him I high recommend you check his videos and any interviews with him. He is a great example of fighting against the accepted wisdom of other health professionals and industry.

Hi I want to help somebody out who was going through the same he’ll as me. I was having sharp lower back hip pain. It originated from picking up heavy objects at work with the wrong form. I didn’t believe that lift with your knees and not with your back. I’m only 17 so I thought I brushed it off. So after a couple months of bad form I was getting home breaking down. I corrected my form right away and started wearing a Back Brace. But that was only going to help not make it worse. So the I began to look for remedies. Natural ones in that matter. And stretching helped so much. I started doing these stretches every day for a week and felt a huge difference and obviously the pain didn’t go away right away because you have to give it time to heal properly. I was at a point where putting on shoes or picking things from the ground was a mission of maneuvering without setting off a spasm to my lower back. The first day I did the stretches it felt better not 100% but noticeable improvement. One stretch that he doesn’t mention here that worked wonders for me was a stretch called “ Prayer Stretch”. At first I couldn’t put my full weight on my legs without feeling a sharp pain from my lower back. I was sweating bullets but don’t rush it I slowly ever so slowly stretched toward and sat my bosom on my legs to where I felt the stretch really pulling nerves. It was a 30 second process that took me well over 30 minutes to even get to the correct position. Once there the pain was doable I held that position and just relaxed my mind. A thing I did to help me concentrate was turning off the lights and closing my eyes. I held that position for around 5 minutes and sat back up. I felt a relief the pain was still there but I noticed it was hurting less. And I got back up on my own, I slept with my back brace on that night and got up the next morning feeling refreshed and got up with minimal pain. Pain was still there but after dealing with the pain for weeks, the change was a sign of hope. I thought I was done for and my back was going to hurt forever. I continued to do the same stretch everyday to the point where I could do it pretty freely. I am now pain free and I’m loving it. I take my back serious now and even began doing excersized to help make my back stronger. So if there is anyone here who doesn’t have hope please know that you can do this, and even though I don’t know you I believe in you. I know what you are going through and I’m here to tell you that that pain is beatable. Good Luck

ahhhh sweet relief. love the information and stretch. For the first time about 14 months ago I had a bad case of sciatica after riding in a moving truck for 3600 miles. I literally could not walk for about 2 weeks. How can someone very active get sciatica? crazy. Took me a long time with yoga to start walking and that was very slow healing. I agree, Yoga will help your body heal. I still have to stretch out every day. Its either stretch first thing or maybe even several times a day to be able to function or be in pain and hindered. Its always a choice to try to do something. Each morning when I get there is no question that I sit on the side of the bed or bench and do cradle the baby and the other is to have one leg down to brace myself on the bed and the other to hold the back of the thigh and do high leg extensions with a straight back of course. Then I can walk without pain in my feet. Once I was doing the cradle the baby and my husband walked in and with wide eyes said, “I would have to be in a car accident to get my leg in that position.” I still laugh at that to this day. =) Thank you for the stretch!!!!
The exercises were good for me because I have a very stiff lower back and occasional sciatic pain. The ones that aggravated my lower back though were; hanging over my leg while stretching hamstring my lower back isn’t strong enough yet to bear the weight. And the one lying on your belly and doing a reverse backbend again, my lower back is still too stiff for it. Thanks for the tutorials!

Bolsters are sold out lots of places at the moment, I made a temporary one by putting two regular pillows in one pillow case, and then using loops of gaffa tape to hold into a roll. Works like a charm!

I had a herniated disc about 3 weeks ago. It got better and I hurt it again on accident a week later. I went to the dr finally and got some muscle relaxers. About 3 days went by and I had a full day without pain. Then the sciatica pain hit and I’ve been in excruciating pain for 3 days now. I can’t walk or sit because it hurts that bad. I would rather go through childbirth again.
I’m going to try these stretches. Physical therapy doesn’t fit in my budget. So I’ll give an updated of how things go soon.

I have done these regularly for a few years now with great improvement in the condition of my back and almost no sciatica (if i take the time to do them). But always wonder is it intentional that they move from prone to standing back to the floor? Why not just do the floor ones all together?
I’ve been working this routine twice a day for 3 weeks and I can’t recommend it enough. I work on my feet for 8 hrs and do some lifting, and these stretches are saving my ass.

Hello, I have extremely tight hamstrings because of quick growth where my hamstrings didn’t stretch, Alongside sciatic pain through my back above the coccyx going down my leg till around under the back of my knee, I don’t know if this is sciatica or just pain from my hamstrings but I am completely unable to do the last hamstring stretch or the sciatic flossing do you know if this is because of sciatica or my hamstrings, the pain has been around for 7 months now and it is extremely unbearable.
The low level stretches seem to work so thank you so much for this video.

We’re found the Cobra pose/back extension is really good for those suffering from sciatica which is brought on by a disc herniation. The piriformis stretches are great for those who’s condition is brought on by tightness.

Standing toe touch. How can this do, shiatica don’t let me bend in front.
I have been to a Ciropractor and Fisio no improvement yet. Problem is the can not prescribe medicine. They recomend anti inflammatory drugs but no relief. I want to try muscle relaxer/ pain combination. I am scheduling for a MRI don’t know if it will bena overkill? I can not walk properly. Can not sit for long.

My pain is down my left lower back and side. I can feel stretches 1,4,6 7 and 8 have help immediately, but I believe in doing the whole routine as they seem to work very well together. Thanks very much. I have searched for other programs, but your combination seems the best.
You know, I believe that many (except horny guys) would feel more comfortable to see a “normal size” person in the video. This girl is very well trained and look fantastic, but its not realistic for the everyday person. Otherwise its good narration and I will recommend it.

I am a 52 year old woman. I have pain in the lower waist for 20 years. Slip discs too have been lost. Take medication as long as it is okay but after that again the same pain I also do yoga in your sara workout. Butt….. now I want to do workaout. Who always kept me fit.
