“…may help to….” They never say how the body actually uses the planet chemicals to fight diseases.
What do the chemicals do to the cancer cells? What is the effect on immune system cells? Etc.
And who might you be to give nutritional and medical advice?
Im slowly learning that an informative video about vegetable nutrition doesnt exist
Get some red onions, slice thinly and marinate in lime juice for half an hour, they go a beautiful pink colour…then add to your salad

i love green onions in rice paper and dipped in soy sauce and vinegar with a steak
What about the carbs and can you use onion powder in Keto as it is quite high in carbs for a seasoning?

I wanted to know more about onions. The process: Open YT, search for Dr Berg onions, and sue enough voila. The guy is amazing.
Hi Dr, my background is in criminal psychology (MSc. and I also studied pharmacology for 2 years) I have recently started to eat raw onions, in the morning I will usually eat a raw white onion. It started when I was living in Prague, cocaine hydrochloride 1g or less for personal use is legal there, while living there for 6 years I had been snorting cocaine hydrochloride. I was recreationally, taking speed (amphetamine sulfate) however, this was having an adverse effect on my health i.e. chest pains so ironically I switched over to cocaine hydrochloride (I was having fewer side effects, coupled with benzodiazepines, beta-blockers, and a weak opioid codeine, (for the come down to help me sleep) I wasn’t feeling the pressure on my chest, I was getting 98, to 99% lab cocaine I was taking it from the research lab, as I was the head inventory maintainer, it wasn’t a big deal for a 3g/4g going missing every week, the cocaine reduced my appetite, and had powerful sexual stimulation and body overheating so in the summer it wasn’t fun snorting cocaine if there wasn’t any aircon. Sorry, I digress.
Since I permanently moved to Pakistan and occasionally powder my nose, the next day I catch myself having an urge to eat onions, so in the morning, my girlfriend will make me boiled eggs, with lettuce, bread and one full raw onion. I am not on any medications, I’ve had blood tests and everything comes back normal even had an EGK, but I feel like my endocytic system is unbalanced. Mainly, low testosterone, so I testosterone cycle every 6 months for 2 weeks, self-administered. Due to my background in pharmacology, it usually isn’t a problem for me to convince the pharmacist to supply me with medications I don’t have a prescription for, as a matter of fact, my uncles son own a large pharmacy in Pakistan, so he orders in medication I need for me, when I first moved here it was very hard to get the medications for recreational use, the doctors wouldn’t supply me with a script so thankfully I was able to cut the middle man out and get it directly from the pharmacy, the doctors would really annoy me, going on a moral lecture and then refusing to give me a script. One day, I was actually having a benzodiazepine withdrawal (of some sorts) and I spent like a day trying to get hold of some Valium thankfully, eventually one of the doctors decided to write me a script, when I explained to him I’m starting to get withdrawal symptoms. It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper check up now, and I’m planning on getting a check-up, I’m a little worried about my heart, it’s most likely a pulled muscle, but one day I was sleeping and I was in extreme pain and woke up and my chest was hurting really bad and left side and the centre of my back was killing me I couldn’t even sit up, any movement would cause me extreme chest pain and back pain and on my left hand just below my thumb, I’ve had bad circulation problems since then, it’s kind of numb when I touch it, some days it’s really numb and other days it isn’t that bad, since the pulling of the muscle in my back or whatever happened I’ve been worried to go to the doctor and have an EGK or heart test, I know it’s unlikely but I don’t want to be told I had a silent heart attack or something, which I doubt I had, I mean the pulled mucle feeling in my back lasted a week or so, it’s been months now, and sometimes when I am sleeping I can feel the pulled nerve ocassionally.
Anyway, I just have a really weird need to eat onions, green chillies and walnuts raw. I am underweight though, mid-30s, 5″9′ 8 stone. Since the age of 21, I’ve drunk a heck load of alcohol and recreationally taken drugs and prescription medication. I think, maybe I should see an endocrinologist and a cardiologist, maybe it’s time to grow up since my 2nd child is on the way, I’ll just stick to the occasional whiskey. I’m getting old and the rest isn’t worth it anymore.
I love onions, specially raw but i get bloated. What could be causing it?
Hey doc, I like your video and I love onions my brother hates onions and I always pick on him about onions
I like raw onions before bedtime:) good and relaxing felling.
Cooking onions actually destroys a lot of the health benefits, you should eat them raw like in sandwitches, burgers and salads but chopping them or grinding them is a good idea
do i let raw onions sit for a few minute after being chopped or cut
Hello Doctor Berg.
I have a Chromate allergy i developed through work (concrete construction). Would eating onions flare my condition because of the Chromium?
I’ve just started planting, I noticed my green onions have slime as I slice them. It this healthy to eat?
On keto are onions ok? I want to make some pickled onions. I was going to use red and white onions.

People ruin gemstone videos with Steven Universe comments, but I bet no one has ever ruined an onion video with a Steven Universe comment before! cackles madly
…don’t worry the only reason I did this is because no one else has and hopefully people can just ignore this comment if they want
Dr Berg you are the best. Onions are great I actually not only eat them but I add then to my shampoo along with garlic. My hair went from very short to super long middle of my back in less than a year. FYI I let it sit in my hair for 5 minutes then rinse with another shampoo to get ride of the smell.
is it ok to caramelize it? I eat sauted onions everyday.. cant eat them raw.
this guy is so feminine especially when he is pointing the white board with his picky finger lol
I’ve always loved onions and finding out about its nutrition gives it a better purpose.
i like the taste of onions but they make me gassy and produce bloating.

Thank you Dr. Is Foxtail millets is safe to eat for a pre-diabetic? Could you please do a video on millets.
i think there was a scandal here in Greece of industry dumping chromium and it was said it was toxic or something. was it a different type of chromium?
Hi Dr Berg, I’m a follower.:) I’m following Keto and a lot of info is saying stay away from Onions because of sugar content. My app says they grade an “F”. I love them and want to make sure it’s ok.
Love greeen onions, especially raw, dipped in a tiny bit of salt.
So I can have my French Onion Soup? Replace croutons with nutritional yeast?
Dr Berg, you forgot one thing. Onions are GREAT for increasing FARTS
wow dr berg i cant believe you forgot to mention that onions are a great source of natural idoine
I’m trying to figure out how they effect ketosis. Can anyone tell me if I need to limit onions when I eat. I’m having the hardest time figuring out if I can continue to have sautéed onions with my steaks and sausage.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
A PLUS!
IT HAS EVERY THING IN IT!
which way is better to consume the onion, Juicing with other vegetables or cooking?
I bought a copper air fryer and when I take the onions out of the oven, oddly they are not very hot (I could eat right away) and they still made my eyes water really bad (assuming they still retained most of their nutrients).
I’m on day 2 of my onion diet. Day 17 of my low sodium diet. I had 3 onions this morning and 4 for dinner. 3 last night. I have no testimonial, yet, but I’m doing this because of several strokes and I’m trying to have an all natural diet that will heal my brain.
On the other hand. 18 days of under 800mg a day on sodium intake, and I’ve lost about 10 pounds (maybe a few more, I don’t know my weight when I started).
Onions improve blood circulation and help me sleep better.. I love them
My dad has an onion cooker, Its literally an onion shaped container that opens up and I put an onion in there with butter and garlic salt. Microwave for two minutes. And just eat it like that. It’s so so good. Hopefully two minutes isn’t too long as far as killing nutrients goes.. Who else loves looking up food benefits as you’re eating the food hahah
I had a family friend who used to put onions every where in food, although he is 62 now he look in shape and has very healthy hair
Well, I read a book about onion’s devastating effects on human brain when taken daily
Never eat it every da guys
2019 update Dr. Berg mentions onions and garlic (sulfates) are good for detox. In particular they are recommended to combat Glyphosate (see Dr. Stephanie Seneff, or Dr. Zach Bush)
So I eat them raw. Does that make a difference in their nutritional profile??
Onions have 8.1 net carbs per serving (110g), that’s a lot for keto diet no?
Just eat greek salad, tomato onions bell pepper cucumber feta cheese extra virgin olive oil salt and oregano and you are set..
Yay! That’s a veggie that is very versatile for me! I can make pico de gallo, fajitas (minus the tortilla shell), homemade cultured salsa. I can make marinated cucumbers, onions & tomatoes…great in the summer when all those garden veggies are coming in! I also make “egg roll in a bowl” which has sauteed cabbage, a little carrot, onions, olive oil or coconut oil, some red cabbage or radicchio, as well as some kale finely chopped (so i can’t taste it, haha) and coconut aminos for my soy sauce!! and riced cauliflower for my fried rice (with green onions, scrambled egg and bits of chicken)…I am really getting the hang of eating all these vegetables now, lol. Not so bad after all.
I just started keto diet and I’ve been eating a lot of onions and peppers. I just saw that onions and peppers are high in carb
Dr. If I’d eat onion raw everyday one in the morning will turn in to poision. Thanks anticipating your reply and also garlic one of the American Dr. Or someone was telling about garlic is shorten your life.
Looks like I am going to be making a lot more bruscette caprese from now on.
Thank you. I will begin eating onions by adding to my food dishes. Amazing.
Great Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched Taparton Pounds Melting Takeover (do a google search)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning the best diet to melt stubborn belly fat without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate at very last got excellent results with it.
This is escallion or skellion, right? I cut up the stalks for my soup. It gives a wonderful flavor and aroma. I drink soup 2-3 times weekly because I am a smoker.
People who eat 7 servings or more of the allium vegetable family, have a 55-85% lower risk of developing the major forms of cancer. This makes me think of Tulip Olsen, the protagonist of Cartoon Network’s Infinity Train because she really likes to eat onions. How about this for a fan theory: she eats so many onions because a family member passed away from cancer?
If you wash the onions after cutting the important ingredients will be washed away.
