Don’t let #celiac disease or #gluten sensitivity stop you from enjoying a night out. In this post and video Jefferson #dietitian Emily Rubin, RD, give some tips for Dining Out #GlutenFree: http://pub.vitrue.com/HW6S
What I look like going to a restaurant asking them to make my meal only 100 calories.
Can a person suffering from celiac disease eat gluten free oats? And how the oats are made gluten free…n we can trust them or not?
Great tips! would never never have thought of some of these. Love your videos!:)
Guys, losing weight doesn’t have to be difficult (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Search a diet plan known as Custokebon Secrets. Seriously, that program has changed my life. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I do not want a bunch of other guys out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am just in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.
hello….
i have on question please answer if you can
does lychee tea help lose weight or gain / what does it do
i used it and it really messed me up really much
So funny I have the same saying about eating when you don’t enjoy your food being a waste! I have strong debates with friends about this (I’m French we get intense when it concerns food)
Nice Video clip! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you considered Dinanlinson Natural Beauty Approach (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for learning what to eat to look younger minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy at last got amazing results with it.
My 17 years old stepson now lives with us. So I’m teaching him healthy swaps! So far he’s tought me how to make an unhealthy food even unhealthierrrrrr. He and his friends ordered pizza they put old hotdogs on top added more cheese and microvewed it and then they topped it off with chips! Aaaaaa! But he told me maya don’t warry we did not order any coke we will have just plain water just like u tought me:)
I always keep a small 4 compartment Indian Tiffin in the Dicky (Boot / Trunk) of my car to use as a doggie bag if needed when eating out. I have a larger Tiffin also if eating out for larger meals. They are the best quality stainless steel
Healthy resturent. Hennur cross above Apolo gym. Manager and maintenance is very very boor people’s manager of this branch very unresponcibility person I’m a Custmer just Im going to complent for this man
Nice addition of the swap coffee or espresso or latte for dessert. Especially now that I’m doing dairy free (not always), I find an almondmilk latte with a little stevia just as satisfying without all of the crappy feeling the next day. Who knew that even a decaf just fills that need after meals to “finish” with something?:)
great vid, thanks for helping me make smarter restaurant choices
USA is so behind about cross contamination. when will you wake up?
Hey sweetie, just wondering why you say that sweet potato fries aren’t healthier? Even if they’re fried their still healthier than russet, right?
Hey There! Thanks for this useful video. By the way, I notice many people keep on talking about Custokebon Secrets (search on google), but I’m not sure if it is good. Have you considered Custokebon Secrets? I’ve heard several unbelivable things about it and my sister lost a lot of weight with it, but she refuses to tell me:(
Hi! You should try to make homemade whole wheat saltine crackers! (Like the Keebler or Rovira ones) they’re so good but are made of refined flours which I don’t like..
great video. Simple. to the point. and alot of suggestions I didn’t know! Thanks!
mine of munch I like moon pie but I know it very faty I was wondering if you could make it healthier
I love and look forward to watching all of your videos! Your videos have been very helpful to my family and I. You are awesome!!!!!!
I love how you were able to fit so much information into just 3 minutes!! Thank you so much for your channel and sharing your knowledge.
Why do you associate healthy food with food that is low in fat and calories?
Love this! Great video idea! I also love the “job titles” you give yourself in your introRestaurant Swapper! Haha so funny!
Whenever me my boyfriend and I go to Red Robin I always get a lettuce wrap and get their broccoli on the side (it’s endless). And then I’ll just eat a handful of my boyfriend’s fries. By the time I’m on my second round of broccoli I’m full and I still got to enjoy some fries (which I love) lol
yes the video is totally awesome as yours always are, however I really love the color of your shirt today
No comments? Keto works. Intermittent fasting works. Sugar bad, gluten bad and dairy bad.. Ask a Chiropractor before an MD on nutrition. Get supplement for gut bacteria and Kefir and homemade sauerkraut type food for natural gut bacteria. Metabolism “sluggish” takes a while. Fast for a day weekly or twice. Keto can help with diabetic med use. Keeps blood sugars steady. People may get off theses meds.
I always wonder if I am really making the best choices when eating out so thanks for the video this is definitely going to help me in the future. Really enjoyed it
Great video! How about about one dedicated to deserts! Healthe and unhealthy couse unless it’s a fruit there are not any healthy options in a restaurant. Wich is less harmful muffin or pancake cheesecake or brownie etc. I usually get a panckace or desert with more cream and less flour I find it metabolizes faster and is not heavy in a stomach so I can even use the rush and workout or do all my errands like a “Flash”
I’m in the process from moving from Toronto to Northern California and currently staying at my in-laws and there has been so much eating at restaurants. I’ve been using most of these ideas for trying to make the restaurant meals healthiers.
Not a very useful video…most of the options aren’t really possible in a restaurant…! I mean…most of us visits a restaurant to have good meal…who eats lettuce wrapped burger when eating out??? And no one can swipe an espresso for dessert…that’s stupid really!
Just wanted to appreciate you for using the pronunciation “broo-sket-uh” rather than “broo-shet-uh”:)
I love your videos. I do a few of your workout videos when I don’t have much time. My husband likes that even in 10 minutes you feel like you got a good workout!
Amazing information and great vid…..like always I them all.
Hey, can you please make a video on what to eat to get your period???
Hey Alyssia! Can you please do an educational video on vitamins and minerals? I think it’s one of those topics in nutrition that aren’t discussed as much as others like macros. Thanks!
I love the final comment. I’m not used to the big portions in the US and additionally some of the ingredients that I asked to not be included end up in my dishes anyway.. and I always feel judged and ridiculed for picking them out or leaving stuff over.. It’s getting better, but the weird looks sometimes get to me.
That you mention this as something that “just happens” and is not specific to me will probably help. =)
I like your videos are in fast-paced I get bored when people talk slow…
Wow this great very good tips thanks I have hope after watching this video
Bottles I use to carry dressings(in summer blended berries and chia souse) so I can buy any plain Greek yogurt on the go and add this souse as a sirup. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BKUDC5I/ref=asc_df_B01BKUDC5I4537393/?creative=394997&creativeASIN=B01BKUDC5I&linkCode=df0&tag=wwwshopstylec-20&ascsubtag=2182371336
No you are not allowed to eat half the bun! >:( because then many restaurants will simply throw it away and that is wasteful! Eat your delicious nom nom!
I eat healthy all week and seldom go out to eat, so when i do i chowing down on some fries lol
i loved that last tip YOU DONT HAVE TO FINISH! exactly! people look at me oddly when I don’t finish my meal and just tell me to finish it. I’m all nope! You do you and I’ll be me!:)
Not trying to be hateful, but not finishing my meals is one of the greatest reasons why I have an eating disorder now Maybe don’t tell people not to finish their meals next time okay? It’s pretty triggering
Thanks for these tips! I really don’t like restaurant food. The only thing I like to eat is at Applebee’s and I get their cedarwood grilled chicken and grilled veggies. It’s very light and delicious!
Thank you!!!! This is so helpful!!! I’m not an adult, so if my family is busy we have to get food from places other than home. I can find it hard to try and keep healthy when we do that.
You don’t have to finish your food nor throwing it!
Just take the extra and finish it later or give it to somebody.
This needs more views! Amazing video, spot on with such great tips! Thanks for sharing
Edit: Subbed
I relate so hard to the “you don’t have to finish your food” thing, my parents always said it was good to have a “clean plate” and would always push me to not waste food
Yes! I love what you said at the end, it’s going to waste if you don’t want to finish it and eat it anyway. The food will either go to your waist or the waste bin, either way it’s going to waist.:)
Is Custokebon Secrets useful to lost crazy amounts of weight? We’ve learn numerous good things about Custokebon Secrets (just search it on google).
This is so awesome and helpful! I shared it with all of my fit club participants and they LOVE it! You are the BEST! xo
I actually like and struggle saving my food because I like having something to look forward to for lunch the day, it’s like eating out part two! Another tip is to ask for frozen fruit with seltzer water I just thought of it, I may try it the next I go out!
Hi Alyssia greetings from Doha, Qatar
Thank you for all the good information and yummy recipes.
Great info as always. Sometimes when I get a salad I’ll ask for a side of salsa instead of salad dressing…depending on the type of salad, of course…but it adds lots of flavor without all the extra fat/calories.
LOVE YOU! Thank you for reminding us to claim our power over our food, especially when with others!
Thank you for your reply,But I can’t let you go on thinking Saturated fats are unhealthy that is old out dated information. Some saturated fats are healthy we need them (example)coconut oil is a saturated fat but very healthy for our bodies. It is Trans fats, hydrogenated oils like margarine we need to stay away from you can find plenty of new information about this I hope this is helpful not trying to be the fat police lol just want to share the knowledge.
Love your dining out tips! As a college kid, I tend to go out to eat often just because my friends do so I do love these! thanks:)
Great swaps!
Do you have a favorite protein/nutritional bar you like?
Ahhh I always get so excited when I see that you upload a new video! You’re definitely my favorite channel in all of YouTube and this video was as great as always:D
Couldn’t agree more with having the dressings on the side!!:)
Okay how can anyone give this a thumbs down? I don’t get it.
I do like healthy foods. And I feel great after exercise. My problem is enough will power to make it a routine. Got any tips?
I just wanted to comment and say THANK YOU!! I have been trying to lose weight for a while now and I have been staying focused on the macronutrients (still do, but not as obsessively) and I started focusing on eating more whole foods and thinking of food as fuel and I have began losing weight more easily then ever before! I love your videos, they are so informative and it is so refreshing! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Do anyone know about Custokebon Secrets? Does it really work? I hear many individuals lost their weight with this popular lose weight secrets.
Could you do a “Choosing a Healthy (or healthier) Bread Option?? I know you just did a video on sweet potato bread and in some “What I Eat in a Day” videos you have shared that you eat Ezekiel Bread. Are there any other healthier bread option? I LOVE CARBS! 😉
I love watching your videos! They helped me a lot during my first few weeks of becoming a vegan. You have so many great ideas and recipes!! Thank you!
I have just found your channel and I love it so much:) I have gotten so many good advise and tips. Could you make some videos with recipes that are suitable for a low fodmap diet? I struggle adding veggies to my diet because of the restrictions.
I only recently got over the guilt of not finishing my meal in restaurants. I used to think the waiters would judge me if it looked like I hadn’t eaten ‘enough’ of the meal. I have a disorder of the small intestine so I prefer to eat little and often and when im out i tend to feel forced to eat as much as physically possible but recently I’ve been much better at stopping eating when I feel the first twinges of pain and no more. I shouldn’t risk causing damage to my health just to save face, I am paying for it after all.
A good restaurant will always offer substitutions. We were at Panara Bread last week and I ordered a salad without the chicken. She asked me if I’d like to substitute avocado for the chicken. Love that place:))
I’ve been meaning to send you a snap but this will do, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR ALL THE HARD WORK AND GREAT CONTENT YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OUT ON SNAPCHAT! great great great
I love these types of videos but this one was so fast-paced I had trouble keeping up!
