Ingredients 1/4 cup flaxseed meal 1/4 cup water 1 egg (slightly beaten) 1/4 tsp or more ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp 1 tsp honey.Ingredients 1 cup flaxseeds, ground 2 cups alternative milk of your choiceor even water if you’re in a pinch! If you use honey or maple syrup it is definitely NOT Keto.

You need to soak them in whey overnight and redehydrate them before grind them, if you really want to get the most nutrition out of your flax seed, it any seeds,

Flax seed and chia seed as an oatmeal alternative. 5 years ago, you couldn’t have paid me to try it out. Here I am in 2018 and having noatmeal. It’s not bad. I put swerve in it as it was cooking. And added butter and hwc after. Will try a nut butter with it next time.

Good recipe I’m going to add cacao powder maybe a little pinch of nutmeg and salt possibly a tablespoon of almond milk too. I’m going to use a coconut oil ganache cacao powder and monk fruit as a drizzle over it and top it with some nuts seeds and coconut mixture as a dessert for Christmas looks delicious can’t wait to try it thank you so much.
Two things:
(1) On the Ketogenic Athlete podcast I believe you said to use 1/2c almond milk, and when I tried that it was nice and thick, like oatmeal. Last night I tried 1c liquid (actually used half water, half coconut almond milk for flavor), per this video, and it was obviously more runny. So if you readers like it thicker, you can actually reduce the amount of liquid (I think that would be better for the add-ins, too).
(2) Could you do a video on how you set up/structure your diet? There’s a lot of info on ketogenic diets, but not from the perspective of an athlete (I compete in USS as a middleweight). Do you adhere to the standard 70/25/5? Aim for more protein with no concern for gluconeogenesis? Are you eating at/below/above maintenance? Fasting? Do you do any meal planning/prepping or eat as you go? Between my career and my training, I’m home an hour a night, and when I was IIFYM it was easy enough to keep up with, but now that I’m giving keto another try it seems to be very inconvenient.

Sorry, but this is not a keto chia pudding. The maple syrup has lots of sugar, which will kick you out of ketosis in a heartbeat.

Changed it up a bit and see if your fans like this:
3/4 cup of water
4 tbs of flaxseed/chia organic mix
1 pat of kerry gold unsalted butter used 1/2 pat then added noatmeal then added other 1/2 pat
Waited about 1 min for it to melt then added the extras
1 tbs of hemp hearts
1 tbs of pb fit chocolate peanut butter powder
2 tbs of Walden farms zero calorie pancake syrup
332 calories @ 27F 13P 5(Net Carbs) 13 fiber and 1 gm of sugar

I nuked it in the microwave for 2minutets I will make another with dry fruit or/and blueberries thankyou..I will see what other great ideas you have o yea I added LSA ground linseed sunflower seed and almond
I’m going to try these! Just a side note, if the cast iron is well seasoned, there’s no need for nonstick spray which is unhealthy anyway. All my foods slide right out of my cast iron pans.

So, I hate the texture of China seeds. To me, they are slimy. However, if you grind them onto a flour in a coffee mill, it really improves the texture 10000%. Deffinitly use some flavorings because they are tasteless on thier own.
How much pudding would be considered a serving? A half cup? Quarter cup? My husband and I use chia seeds all the time in cooking love them in scrambled eggs but we’ve never made the pudding. Thanks!

Quick Method: 2tbsp each of chia, flax, pb, and butter, 1/3rd cup boiling water, sweetener/cinnamon/salt. Add water to tiny pot to boil, which takes 2 minutes to boil due to size of pot and amount of water. Add all other ingredients to a boiling-water safe bowl and then when water boils, add to bowl and mix well. It takes just 3-4 minutes this way, easy cleanup. Delicious toooooo!!

Looks good! I will do this but have to adjust for baking time, as I do not own a microwave. I’d probably also use golden flaxseeds which have a lighter taste and add the berries inside the muffin rather than as a topping or even do with a sugar free berry jam. Thx!

Moderation is important with chia seeds. Its reccomend to not eat more than 30grams or 2 tablespoons a day, and only 2 to 3 times a week because of possible vitamin toxicity. They are literally too good for you.
The other thing to be careful of is if you take blood thinners, blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, etc. because chia seeds increase the action of these meds. If you are taking these meds, you should ALWAYS consult your doctor before changing your diet, adding any new otc meds, supplements, or superfoods like chia seed.
I added the chia seeds to the bowl first, then poured in the liquid… without doing anything, I was reading the recipe for a minute or two…
Chia seeds left to be with liquid and no stirring = superglue!! Tip: stir chia seeds IMMEDIATELY!!

So I saw this recipe recently and it looked good. I made it twice so far. I added a little more cinnamon and chopped up about 1-2 Tb of pecans and added to mix. Delicious and reminds me of spice cake. I think it might be good with pumpkin pie spice too. Maybe a little cream cheese for a great dessert. Nice recipe and so easy. Thanks.

A bit late finding this, but thank you! Personally, next time I will add a teaspoon of cocoa as it looks like chocolate sponge & seems odd not tasting of chocolate when eating.

I tried it with 1.5 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp cocoa powder, and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. It still came out kinda bland, and it was very dense and dry. I added 1 tbsp peanut butter on top, and that helped with the flavor. Next time, I might try adding a bit more butter/fat or a splash of water to help with the texture. It would make a really nice dense, savory bread/bun to slice and toast with the right seasonings!
