Genetics seem to a win, lose, or draw type of thing when it comes to building some massive trunks, or just bodybuilding in general. Some people have massive legs without ever doing any mass training on them, and it is ok to hate those people. For the rest of us, we can overcome our genetics.

Anyone tried the Clegenatur Methods (look on google search engine)? We’ve heard many awesome things about it. a lot of people increase their breast size naturally using it.
Is there one for running? And also my left inner hamstring is too lose and under active so I feel my hamstring isn’t doing its job, help with that too??
Watching this to understand what is causing me pain during walking. The pain is located behind my calf at the extension start and stops as i flex. Basically i have nerve issues but i also think my glutes and or hamstrings are transferring too much power to a weaker calf which is straining it.
Doesn’t the quadratus lumborum engage on the opposite side as the foot contacts the ground?
Everyone is able to gain more than 10 pounds muscle mass in 8 weeks and get ripped
Am I the only one watchin this to figure out how to make a working creature in evolution heheh
Is it possible the run this data through a tens unit and make someone walk
From my experience, you can hit your calves all you want, it won’t make much of a visual difference.
should calf racism be done with or without weights?..
in all seriousness, should I use weights or not? I have scrawny calves, but my ankles are really weak and I can’t really work out too intensely without throwing up or having a seizure
Very good animation!
Shouldn’t the hamstrings also activate to some degree to flex the knee right after the foot leaving the ground? (after the calves plantarflexing the ankle?)
hey elliot/guys. do the GH machine and legpress machine count as isolation exercises machines? also. a friend who plays rugby with me is just coming back from a minor (grade1) hammy tear. he’s had a history of these minor tears. after watching this really good video im thinking; would taking him to the gym for functional leg weight training help him? he’s also never done weights in his life.
Great work! Can we use this video for our project on indiegogo.com?
Hey i wonder i jog beceause i do boxing. But i eat 300 g to 400g of meat before can i build muscle with this?
walking is great for weight loss, good video bro, keep up the great work ☺
I had a dream that Jeff was in my house, and we trained together.. Imagine how bad I felt after I woke up:/
thanks for your work, it’s very usefull for our school project!
Brisk fasted walking is the secret technique of bodybuilders. The problem is that most people dismiss it as too easy or simplistic.
hey jeff im 14 years old. i have been working out properly for about 6 mouths, i have recently increase the amount of times i work out from 2 or3 -> 5 days a week. i have also just recently increased my daily calorie intake from 1500 to about 3000-3500. i work out quads and calves on Monday, chest on Wednesday, arms on Thursday, shoulders on Friday and back and hamstrings on Saturday. is this healthy and ok for me to do if i use proper form(which i do,i have practiced with low weight)? thx
While watching this video Jeff I came up with an idea I pick up a 40lb and hold it in 1 hand while I watch a type this message holding it for 4 mins each
Benefits of my heel and toe walking Regime
For some time now my feet have been killing me, I did a lot of limping, I tried insoles and other stuff, no good at all, I went on line seeking help, one web site suggested what they call heel and toe walking, striking the floor with your heel, rolling the feet and taking off on your toes, I took it seriously, I think I must have been walking flat footed, here are the amazing things that happened.
Wonderful, life changing!
Balance.
Correct walking affects the muscles in the feet, the legs and beyond.
I don’t limp anymore the reason I started this method of walking.
For a short while my thigh muscles ached, that is good.
I can now wear shoes I was reluctant to wear because they hurt my feet.
I am not at all unsteady when I walk now.
Walking on cobbled streets in Lancaster I always avoided because I felt unsteady walking on them, not anymore I make a point of walking on them now.
Steps I avoided because I felt unsteady walking up and down them, much better.
I feel a lot more confident.
Here is the BIG one
The Pelvic Floor Muscle.
I had prostate cancer some years ago and had to have it surgically removed resulting in incontinence, I did the kegal exercises but it was a waste of time so I gave up, I wear pads and change them every day sometimes twice a day, after doing my new walking regime after not very long I noticed one night when I took one off it was dry, never happened before, now they are either dry or not very wet, also every morning about six I need to pee, I had to grab my willy to stop myself peeing on the floor on my way to the toilet, not anymore, if I was caught short often I would wet myself as I undid my pants, not anymore, I wore my pads for three days with hardly any leakage!
One problem was drinking beer, bitter/real ale, if I tried a pint it was as if my body was a drain pipe, I quickly wet my pants, it’s a diuretic, Guinness and wine were OK, after the improvements with the pad I decided to try and drink a pint to see what would happen, I stayed dry, next day I had two pints, I stayed dry!
As I said wonderful and life changing.
Not bad for a man who is 79 years old!
Barrie
Just joined your sight last night. Can’t believe I haven’t seen you before. Love your enthusiasm and straight talking. Thanks
I’m not ripped ( I’ve actually always been flabby ) but I have an insane amount of endurance and very strong legs thanks to walking roughly 8-10km daily due to my cleaning job.I can almost outperform and outlast just about anybody. If I didn’t eat garbage,I would also have the body to show for it
What weight do you guys recommend me using? I weigh about 155
I cannot believe this, I walk, speed walking daily,… and calves are very developed yet my hamstrings muscles…which I se in this video as active more than the calf…my hamstrings muscles are way underdeveloped and I have seen no improvement in over two years of speed walking. This cannot be right. I am a heal to toe balanced walker, fyi.
Front muscles are stabilising muscles. The rear muscles are responsible for forward propelling…
in last 3 weeks I walked almost every day from 30 min to 2hrs, found it very relaxing and a good aid for recovery after bodyweight training. I am an avid cyclist but seems that building muscles and extended cardio training don’t have a nice relationship, sort of testosterone-cortisol ratio
I said to my friend what can I do about my tiny legs. He recommended loads of calve raises to. I have been picking up tiny cows for over 5 years now and NOTHING has happened!
Elliott is great and his in depth knowledge is appreciated. But some days I’m not really in that mood and just want the steak n’ potatoes of the clip. If you’re havin 1 of those days skip to 2:03.
Im a one month one a gym…i don’t like the smith muchine calvs exercises..
Why people say you need 2 exercises for calvs? One seated and one standing?
What can i do in the gym to cover all the calvs exercises…( My calves are terrible
I use one of these https://www.decathlon.in/p/8353819/cross-training-pull-up-bars/strength-training-pull-up-bar-100-cm
Put it near the ground and stand on it
I think everyone should do both, even athletes, squats and lunges should be the base of your leg workout but I think you should do leg extensions or curls also.
When you talk about the reps here, do you mean per day, per set or per week? For example when you say minimum should be 20 reps
this video is great. and other people don’t assume knowledge. until you know the person don’t attack! LOGIC. There are tooooo many bros in the gym who don’t understand muscle macanics. this is a must watch!
The show room dancers here in Vegas all have great calves and they never did calf raises? Ballet dancers have great calves but they are up on their toes a lot
So weird how people say cycling will build calves. I cycle everywhere, never feel any type of soreness in my calves and my calves are fucking shite.
How the fuck are people cycling where they even use their calves?!
I tore my lateral and arterial knee ligaments last year 2013 july but now I need some a work program to recover my knee back to the real form
I walk a mile downhill then a mile uphill 4 days a week to get to the gym in Medellin Colombia. I’m visiting for 3 months, been here 5 days and my calves are sore everyday. Would you suggest I still train them directly 4 times a week? I’m 6″2 and have bird legs! Thanks
I rediscovered this video I’m definitely going to give this a shot I’ve skinny hi calves lool
Best explanation I’ve ever heard why compound, free-weight lifts are better than machines and isolation for athletes. Train your body in isolation, easy way to get injured in the trenches.
Im a teenager and I really need/want a good workout but I cant afford this, anybody got a good workout?
a lot of balance. legs are fried. zero momentum. all of these add up to a hell of an exercise. love your videos, they actually educate the viewer with solid scientific information.
I believe you meant the iliopsoas? There is no Lliopsoas. Please fact check before posting educational material…
Walk…. Brisk walking up hill as much as possible, walk at least an hour a day 5x a week. there is your secret.
roll vs get up high on the toes? the toes get in the way? this is new info. NEVER heard anyone recomend this. please explain further
Whenever I experience something similar already YouTube just steps right to show a bandwagon or something.
Rows have always been one of my least favorite excercises, but now that I know about the Terminator Row, I think that’s about to change.
By “4 to 5 times a week” and “rep ranges from 20 to 50”, you mean with no overweight, right? Just doing it bodyweight style, is that so?
My glutes don’t seem to activate when I walk. And now I have a tight piriformis.
always had really small calves/legs. genetics. Been doing this exercise for a while now. I am about 75kg and doing repetitions on one leg, going as low as i can and ending as high as i can, slowly and holding the highest position for a bit.. In the beginning it was hard to go up and down 8-9 times on each leg. Now i can do 20 easily on each. For 3 sets with couple minutes in between. Not sure if my calves are any bigger but any improvement is good. I also don’t know what is better, doing lots of repetitions fast, or fewer of them slowly. Starting today i will try to keep reps at 10, and increase weight. Will see if that is any better.
I’d break that contraption I’m 265 pound what else would you suggest I use
Fucking love the originals!Hate the new ones. Sorry Elliot!! Still much love to you
The main thing people need to understand, is that Protein Mass and Liquid mass are 2 ways to grow muscle.
Protein mass makes you stronger. Liquid mass makes you go longer at high intensity. But liquid mass does not contribute to your strength, in fact is weighs you down and makes your muscles look like water balloons.
Athletes should focus on building Protein mass, most bodybuilder stuff is for building liquid mass which fades quickly from lack of training.
When I saw this last year, I honestly thought it was nonsense..
However, recently I’ve had really bad pain in my metatarsophalangeal joint of my big toe.
An x-ray revealed that the cartilage has worn really thin. Consequently, it’s going to be knackered. The outlook is osteoarthritis I suppose.
A lot of the exercises I love are really difficult now, including calf raises and my all time favourite, lunges.
The action of bending my big toe back is really uncomfortable now.
So now, the contraption that I ridiculed a year ago, could well be my saviour as far as calf raises is concerned.
Many thanks, Matt
If i do that into my House i gotta get killed by neighbours..
how far though of insurance training is good for slimming down legs in 2-3 weeks to a month????
This is the best calf workout i get fucking gains in 1 month doing this every day (100 reps 5-6sec per rep)
For some reason just when i walk more my legs get bigger, i have done squats and lunges for years. But longer walks and spin bikes work the best for my legs.
Volume is important, for some more important than intensity
This is a brilliant invention. Why not patent it and officially launch it as a gym equipment!
Thank goodness for YouTube..otherwise what would all these light skinned black men with light eyes do with their free time? =)
Great form of improve de strenght to the upper body.. So the lower body works either? Thanks
Calves is definitely genetics. My calves split in 2 like a heart, I’ve never done anything for them. I have always been told I have big calves too. They are 17 inches in circumference and I do nothing for them. They also hang very low. But I read an article that big calves suck for sprinting sports. Iam very heavy footed, I was never a fast runner and never been fat.
Hey there. Can you recommend some home bodyweight calves workouts because I can’t go to the gym or get that pipe stuff.
Things like: bike riding, jump rope, and so on. Are they good and effective?? Thank you.
Hey Strength Camp how are you hope your well, I used to squat and I loved it the best thing ever but it’s been almost 2 years now since my back injury and I see a chiropractor ones a month now, when I did squats my legs and butt would just grow and it would look good and I would feel good also, but now it’s all gone back to square one flat and chicken legs someone said cycling makes your legs bigger but then some people say you lose body fat and cycling tones the legs and butt not building, I really want to grow my legs and butt again any ideas as I can’t workout at this moment in time thanks happy holidays
Great tip Matt, built my pipe…question is it worth varying the calf raise? as in heels flared and toes flared forming a V….i have done in the past and nothing…thoughts? any tips for making the calf work harder on the pipe?
When riding the mountain bike to build calves, SPIN not pushing hard gears
Hey there, very good video! I started with this exercise like a month ago, the first two trainings with this exercise were so damn difficult but I felt so satisfied, I felt those calves just right, but after a month or so doing this exercise I don’t feel anything after it, I do 4 sets 50 reps, full range of motion and yea it burns a bit but I feel like my calves are getting weaker, could someone please help me with this recent problem? Sorry if it’s a bit trivial thing to ask.. I just want to make sure:D
interesting.
Add the animal kingdom for some fun too.
Frog jumps, crab walks, duck walks.
I am 12 and a have regnal xc finals in just under 2 weeks how should I build my legs because I cant hit the gym??
No bouncing….whuuuuuuuuut? I’m outta here! Great video! Going to Lowe’s to pick up the materials as we speak.
He’s right because ballerinas always have developed calves…its all about getting your foot to be in that fully contracted position ie toes pointed of as they say in ballet “work on your points”
While going down the heel of your feet just touches the ground.. So does mine. Wouldn’t this take the tension of the feet?Shouldn’t the feet still be suspended in the air
I have started going for long walks and it’s the most underrated form of exercise.
I’m gonna start walking again to aid with my lower back pain/sciatica recovery. Seems like I herniated a disc due to overexertion on gym day. Thanks for the tip and wish me luck!
just like any other muscle stretch and squeeze. most people can’t stretch in a rep cause they walk around in conventional high heel shoes that shorten the calf. get barefoot shoes I wear them on concrete for 12 hours a day no pain.
Your intro reminds me of Limit by Deichkind.:D https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fhlz0-lCahM Great content and channel btw.
“Best Exercise For Building Massively Slow Legs” that get tired really quickly.:) But they are massive.
Guys. enhance your bust size naturally doesn’t need to be hard (I used to think it did). I’m going to give you some advice now. Look for a popular breast enlargement secrets called Clegenatur Methods (look on google search engine). Thanks to it I have increase my breast size by two cups. I shouldn’t even be speaking about it cause I do not really want a bunch of other guys out there running exactly the same game but whatever. I’m just simply in a excellent mood today so I will share the wealth lol.
i have had metatarsal injury in the ball of my foot and am afraid to put pressure on it. any advice?
“That’s Her hot towards her head” lmaooo. The words on the screen are jacked lol
Can u please make more videos on lower body leg development? I can’t believe those are your calves! They are massive!
must be so much harder if you only have round dumbells for the first part
What is her name? Can you provide a link to follow her? She is wonderful!
A perfect cardio for non lifting days or for warming before lifting. Perfect!
Matt where can I get one of those calf pipes. Did you make it yourself?
Then it’d be even more beneficial as you wil have to balance the weight, using the core and other muscles s stabilisers. More gains:P
Suggestion: First off you are right about the shoe thing and I think that even extends to any exercise involving the legs such as lunges. Try using the same technique you use with the pull up mentioned only with the calf raises. I use the steps with the balls of both feet as you rightly suggest but get a rhythm going alternating focus on one foot then the other with full range.
amazing, this combination of a big musclegroup with small ones is perfect!!!!!
I’m not even gonna watch this. Ok well I will anyways. But before I hear anything he says I’m gonna tell you right tf now the one thing you need is squats to build your lower body. For the best you’d want squats and deadlifts, but for your legs especially just do squats.
Thank You Jeff. Your videos are always helpful and the exercises are never boring.
Hey Jeff, so would it be better if we do this for the exercises in AX-1? For example, if the workout says renegade rows or fielder curls, instead of doing it like we do normally, we do it like in this video? Or should we stick to the program exactly and do that the second time around or something?
Wow, 5/4 times a week? Isn’t that too much? I work out mine twice a week and sometimes my soleus doesn’t recover fully from the previous workout. Is there a secret to recover better? I’d do more calf workouts if i could but can’t figure out a way to recover well. I sleep 7.30/8hrs a day and i eat well…
Ps: that rep range is insane!
Leg press leg extensions lunges can’t do squat because of balanece and knees im 14 6’4 215 pounds
huge advice i have been frustrated thinking about this seperating muscle from other muscles to make along story short, its not normal unless your a bodybuilder but if you want a real body doing real things,,muscles need to be with other muscles.thanks elliot hulse… again,,,i love the way you keep real.
you haven’t got a fucking clue what you are going on about,fk me!!
What about just regular walking or running on up-hill terrain. Will that help build calves?
This guy looks really competent, but even though he’s in awesome shape and looks great without a shirt on, I’d rather see him wearing a shirt. It’s just more professional.
Can you please make a video on what is endurance running is and how to do it???
do it on 1 foot to make it harder. after the reps are done, i hold at the top as long as possible
so i got a 21 speed mtn bike and i use it to ride back and forth through town and ive been using the highest gear possible which is 3 7 which its harder to peddle when i go back and forth its about 2 miles from the store back to my house and ive been seeing my thighs getting bigger just not my calves why is that?
So if I am starting out on legs and I do leg press.. no sports…but squats are my goal but specifically asking because I am on blood thinners. So if I go a leg press then move on to squatting is this gonna be bad because once I go to squat my system…gonna not match all the moving parts like the calfs and al the the posterior chain and all the muscles but you mentioned are supposed to be trained all at once?, or can I start out with the leg press to begin?
Ехcеllеnt Рrоduсct!! Cоuldn’t gеt аny bеttеr thаn https://twitter.com/8afe4268ad5501383/status/822770372575563776, great job ОN. I’vе gоnе thru 2 tubs and hааvе gаinеd 20lbs оf musсlеeе. Its miххxxes gооd аnd thаnks fоr thе uрdаtеd sсоор, waу еasiеr tо add tо a shаkеr nоw.
That was realer than real deal Holyfield. Makes total sense.
While playing football a guy hit his leg shins to my leg shins and his leg got fractured and not mine….. How the heck did it happen?!!!!
@ATHLEAN-X™ Is this video, Build Muscle by Walking The “Walk” Muscle Building Workout, considered a burst training video that can be used during the 90 day program???
What do you think about walking on toes? Is it effective for calf development? Thank you in advance.:)
I’ve been working myself to death doing construction lately (literally) and I i’ve been catabolic for a long time. My legs are shrinking daily. Need heavy weight!
I’m an athlete type but I like bodybuilding stuff vids and all
buddy, you should watch other youtube channels, like P.O.G and lifting for life, they give good advice and have good workout videos.
Nothing destroys my legs more than walking lunges and step back lunges
Just from personal experience, leg extensions/curls have fucked up my knee. Nothing serious, but I haven’t been able to do anything heavy for my lower body for about 3 weeks now. People kept saying they’re fine if you do them right, so I did them…Now I regret it. Lower body isolations usually wreck my knees so I’m done with them.
I have chicken legs, and on top of that I have serious bad knee problems. Help me
i fucked up my right knee playing Rugby and its really hard to do squats…what do i do?
OK, so I totally understand the value of going down slowly and accentuating the eccentric phase, however, as someone whose goal is pure brute strength, should I also try to prolong the eccentric (upstroke) phase? It seems to me that to develop explosive strength, I should exercise them in an explosive manner by pushing up as fast as I safely can? I am a beginner and would appreciate feedback from experienced strength trainers.
Any tips for being a flanker and which muscle groups I need to depend on
Like this comment if you are going to do ths listening to Walk from Pantera
Anything I can do to build leg muscle instead of squatting and deadlifts after having 2 hernias??
Its the TERMINATOR!
I want your clothes and boots and the keys to your motorcycle!
You said you weren’t even trying to build your calves, they grew from mountain biking and mountain climbing, I know lots of people that do that but don’t have big calves.
Like I said 90% genetics, fuck head
My girl is so tired of hearing the intro song in his videos lol #binging
Calf pipe very cool. I made a block with a half fence post laying on top with skate grip tape cheaper and rock solid.
Nice video ; one HUGE mistake. “..your toes can get in the way on a flat surface”.. Yeah evolution is rubbish! You’ve seen all those people in the street, falling over their stupid toes! We almost always walk on flat surfaces My toes never get in the way (same goes for blocks and pipes) 😉
should of ahha, oh well just stoped with the program and went back on a more body building program
im trying to get my legs skinnier and its so damn hard. but bdimg able to accept how im built and the body type i have is also hard as hell
Anybody know what is Clegenatur Methods about? I hear many people have bigger and firmer breast naturally with Clegenatur Methods (look on google search engine).
Also that is the dirtiest beat at the end of the video. Where can I find it?
So running doesn’t make up for skipping leg days, truth sucks ass.
What Bodybuilding parameters is he talking about at 3:28? Which video is that? Could someone help please!
okay I see. See I did that last year was working certain groups only but I would try to do my core ect after to. Any suggestion and or advice on where to start? I know it’s core first (Trunk) then leg (Roots) then Arms aka “limbs” or branches think of it like a tree is what I know can’t grow if you have no trunk and need roots to feed limbs:) see. The only thing I don’t know is when to train what groups. I walk ride bike squat do donkey kicks fire hydrants more different types of all those I stretch:s it’s a lot. I can get up to running but it takes a lot for me to get into that phase I don’t run like those long distant runners it’s more of a powerful run. Not speedy but can be oh lets say 50 mph if I can get to that phase like I said. not kidding either I was running almost beside a car going down the road at 80 km. So I knwo what it can take butt having trouble right now on what comes first I hear doing squats then core is best as this helps in activating the core more.. I did that it did seem to help. But before that I would warm up and go right into working my core. mid body only. then squats or a fast walk.
What is the ball of the foot? I’m not from an English-speaking country… thanks!
machines like the leg press though should still be fine because it’s still using more than just the quads.
I have a curious question, what if I started off body building to get big, then wanted to get into athletics. Would my muscles jack up If i went from body building exercises to strengthening exercises for sports? Or will they just adapt to the exercises?
This guy looks like a MIB alien. Bro u are the weirdest looking character on youtube
he threw some shade at bodybuilders but that must mean he dosnt know enough of them to judge who they are and building muscle aint always about flexing and its not all about sports either because most people who talk that sports shit dont play it enough to be pros.
Why is there a picture of Ellen Degeneres with a beard behind Elliot
love this guy! LOVE ALL OF THE QUALITY CONTENT HE PROVIDES!!!! (don’t love the way he’s always saying “guys” ’cause that makes me feel as though he’s only addressing dudes. should femininefemales not want to watch his vids?)
ANYHU, THIS VID WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRICELESS!!!!!! i’m seriously looking for the PayPal button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT TYPE OF WORKOUT WITHOUT THE GYM!!!! FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
and, yeah, i will sign up for his programs… within the year… after i… make up for my last few months of serious slacking and regain my former level of fitness!!!!!!!
AGAIN, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These old videos are just as great, you’re just not playing the camera so much. gonna use this advice before I start exercising again after a long break:)
Awesome video and exercises! What kind of dumbbells are those?! They’re usually round or hex, these are square a bit more convenient for those exercises.
2 days super heavy with forced reps and negatives and one day high reps with forced reps and no negatives, if your calves dont grow doing this u arent pushing hard enough or u r screwed in the genetics department, go on some testosterone enanthate and try it then,u should see progress
Hey Jeff here are some videos I’d love to see.
If anyone agrees copy paste so Jeff sees!
HOW TO WALK PROPERLY(we take thousands of steps everyday, we should do it right)
HOW TO LIFT THINGS IN YOUR LIFE (like a couch or new appliance, or those big planters you carried through your yard!)
This is SICK. Any day you can play “Terminator” is a good day! My mom saw me sprinting recently and said I looked like the T-1000 (the one from T2) chasing after the car! Sweet.
isn’t the military press a over head workout? isn’t those the ones i should avoid for now?
hey Jeff… I have been following your channel for couple of weeks…. I have been working out keeping your tips in mind and I feel very confident… just wanted your advice on some thing I tried last nite…. I did a farmers walk with a trap shrug and locked the shrug on top… got a good burn… just wanted your feedback if this is OK to continue or will it have any long term issues… thanks man… u motivate me every single gym day…
I know great place to learn about workouts. Just google for ‘Unflexal’:)
Best calves I’ve ever seen where on a Lady that did boxing for fitness at my old boxing gym. She was huge on skipping, running, and cardio, and that’s how she got massive calves.
how about the most obvious tip: barefoot running.
and for those new at that, you run on your forefoot, its all calf action. its healthier for you joints and back also, on top of feet health and strength.
Did you notice the negative contraction of the tibialis anterior at the moment the heal hit the floor to control the lowering of the sole so as not to slap on the ground quickly.
where is the best exercise for massive legs… Who The hell wants to listen to your fucking lecture…
M100. I don’t like Mike Chang at all, but he didn’t make that workout (which is probably why it’s so great). You don’t need any fancy movements, a short burst of maximal effort is great cardio. Any ‘pacing yourself’ for a long period of time means you’re never pushing 100%, which wont get you any results.
Why do you match grip on the overhead press and not do a press similar to a barbell overhead press? The match grip is more straining, isn’t it? This is a great series of working muscle groups in a short time, otherwise.
All that trouble for getting your feet elevated off the ground? You serious?
I’ve never seen someone “walk” like you “walk” in the excersises here…
I see athletes doing leg extensions especially soccer players
Then you use your forearms to stabilize making it an even better exercise!
I try work 7 hours a week
1 hour a day
7 to 8 laps round my local park
Bless up brother, i am 49 young not on roids/ juice. Just a regular man working out at home and only have detachable dumbbells. When i ad them together i get about 100 lbs. I don’t want over developed legs just muscles and strength. What exercises do you suggests that i perform? Respect.
It actually makes it tougher to balance and increase the need of your core. It pretty much makes the workout harder. However if it is too hard to use round dumbells then try doing it on carpet. it should help alittle.
Just for the love of god buy good shoes or walking will just hurt you.
I’m very tall and heavy and i use the walking shoes in Adidas Terrex models and they are perfect for me.
But everyone’s feet is different.
Do you have his athleanx program?? he spells it all out in there. I find these videos to be great additions to what he has already taken the time to detail out in his program. keep up the AWESOMEEEEE work jdcav!! one day this freeloader may actually get off his wallet and cough up the $ to buy your program!!
I have a question and i really need some help:/ i did a 50 reps of these for my first set and it feels like i’m going to poop any minute and it gives the feeling that i’m working out the whole of my back leg and my twerk muscles. is there any advice you could give me?
Thanks!
I wonder du you have a bench press training program of any sort as im looking to compete in it it would be very helpfull and fun to have a bit of advantage to my fellow competers:)
should this exercise be done one round after the other, in other words no breaks in between?
hey Jeff…. My name is Dre…. and what i wanted to know is what is the best way to exercise your weaker side….. to be more specific i have cerebral palsy and im look for ways to strengthen my less dominant side…………..
look at ballet dancers. they have great calves and never do raises. if you lean into a wall and do raises, you have increased the range by increasing the angle and you can add resistance by pushing back with your hands as well. I get a tremendous burn doing that. concentrate also, picture your calves.
20 to 30 reps? Fuck. Who is going to stay consistent with that? That’s not building the muscle that’s just fatiguing the muscle. Yeah you will feel the burn as they say but just doing much for muscle stimulation. Find a weight that allows you to stick in 6 to 10 rep range and bump up the weight once you reach a good 10 reps
Hi, will this program and exercises work for vegetarian ectomorph? Is this exercise safe for spine?
I’m not trying to be rude or anything but it would be really helpful if Jeff starts saying the schedule of a workout like how many times a week or something like that.
hey jeff, i have been using ur program for the last 7 weeks and i have seen a loss of muscle development. would i be able to have a refund as it says on your website the program can be refunded before the 60th day. thank you
Heeyyy!!! JEFF
The AX-1 and AX-2 work for baseball player (center fielder)??
( I am 17 years old )
2:22 how you said dat with a straight face cracked me the fuck up loolXD
@superscorpionking90 I don’t have his Athlean x program but I’ve been trying to bury since last month only that my debit card won’t work. I’m not saying that he sucks or what he’s doing here on YouTube sucks. I think he’s really doing a good job. I was just saying that it would help if he gives out schedules even here on youtube. So don’t call me a freeloader.
Did you notice Mike Chang and his Sixpackshortcuts Ads are appearing just before your videos begin or 12-15 seconds after they start?
Will running stairs give u massive legs or butt or build leg muscles at all..im like u on the legs and bubble but deal. Dont even mess with squats.im Afraid if i do stairs my shit will grow… I dont want thst. I know running is great for leaning out legs, but i hate it. Ill do it if i have to tho. Running stairs is much funner but i dont want to grow… Im female btw
Jeff, Great Video. Simple question, what are the benefits of doing this video? Would you consider this for muscle gain, burning fat, cardio?
Loving my bike.>>> ur2.pl/1144 It was quite easy to assemble, no issues at all. I followed a YouTube video about assembling it and that helped a lot. Only small issue is that moving it around is a bit of a drag because you can only bend the bike to a certain angle to be able to move the bike around, which to me isn’t the best angle since i have to be constantly moving it. Wish the wheel was a bit larger or situated further back so one could bend it further out and make it easier to move around. Other than that, i have no issues.
Advanced level: exercise one push up to row to step left to right. exercise two lunge to press to step left to right. this would reduce all these movements into two exercises, brutal.
60s betweeen sets,30s for core exercises. no drop sets. doesn’t specify rest time between exercises.
I think what you should ask yourself is, if different lean fitness models on youtube honestly tell you that you have to eat 6 to 8 times per day with the right macro’s and stuff,(not those telsell models) I think you can say that it works pretty great so why search for something else.. people are trying to be innovative but I think its starting to get annoying, also think there is no logic in fasting..
Hey Elliott, im a 16 year old female, been lifting 2 years in the past 2-3 months i have not seen any leg gains or definition, i have tried many different things to increase size. I especially am having trouble building the inner tear drop.
In my opinion jeff’s physique is the best. More muscle than that is too much for me. I know some like the BIG muscles but that ain’t me:). Great vid jeff!!
Do you recommend changing the angle of the toes(ie point toes in/out)?
He shouldn’t, but you should search for it, cause there are TONS of vids who say the right things regarding that subject..
sounds funny, but I do them in the shower…I do 150 200 reps every day, doesn’t add a lot of time to my shower and full Rom until the end usually. I find that the best way for me.
long distance= thin middle distnace= slim/tone short distance=bulk/tone
can u do a video on how to lean bulk and calculatin macros for the lean bulk and all about the surplus
I am 50 and am beginning to really experience osteoarthritis. It is very cold this winter, and I need to do mobility exercises just to go for an injury-free walk! Please make more mobility videos, they are very helpful.
Thank you sooo much.Man you are a philosopher, I mean REALLY. loved Thoreau portrait behind too 😉
This is so stupid a leg extension is a natural pattern just like squatting except one is compound and the other is single joint. Both are functional but function is subjective when you think hey I’m a football player so squats might be more beneficial because I use that movement directly
can you make a protein shake video with very very simple ingredients?
Nope, just don’t start at age 11 or something like that. I started when I was 15 and I am now 19 and at my expected height.
I\I used to run every other day and my quads didnt get bigger but my claves were getting pretty thick
Check Unflexal handbook if you want to learn about workouts much much more.
I destroyed my knee boxing, had a knee clash and snapped my acl, im 29 and feel like an old man, been trying to build the legs but no matter what I do I cant shake the muscle waste
Idk how old you are, but Jeff is coming out with Athlean Teen soon. I’m sure he’ll answer that question then.
Do deadlifts build quads more or hamstrings as you’re not squatting to parallel when picking up the weight so I assume that’s more quad dominance? I want to do both bodybuilding and powerlifting so I’m happy just doing 5×5 squats and 5×5 deadlifts to build leg mass and throw in 3 sets of calf raises
Someone at my high school has pretty skinny legs and runs 4:50 constantly, it’s annoying
I hope you can talk about your diet in one of your videos mate. What are some of your favorite meals for example? I need a bit of inspiration to change what I eat! Cheers
What could be the best weekly routine or plan for sprinting to building legs
Thank you bro U got straight into the point and u answered for what I am looking for
I like guides from Unflexal. I learned a lot of new workouts practices there
love how you can watch the energy transfer from the glute down to the calf.
Having big legs is such a good thing! I love when a man has super muscular quads.
I like this guy, he gets straight to the point without all the bullshit. Definitely subbing
The science of walking is a video about the hidden science of walking. It deals with the impact of walking and lack of walking on the mind and the body through the citation of a scientific and philosophical literature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVcD_0okJ6k
It’s rather frustrating just LISTENING to an exercise video. I mean, seriously, would it have been that difficult or time consuming to demo that exercise? Anyway, thank you for the tip.
How about the elliptical? Does that make your legs bigger? I have skinny legs and I want to put muscle on them but I hate leg workouts.
Running doesn’t make your legs “leaner” that myth has been disproven countless times it’s makes you leaner as a whole ie losing body fat
Hi Dylan, in my opinion you do good that you show if you agree or no on the start, because there are many ppl that give arguments or informations before giving their main opinion and its causing that i cant really understand the sense of the film or prepare for arguments value.
