Indian restaurants are another of my personal favorites for easily enjoying gluten-free when eating out. Naan is an obvious no, but almost all curry dishes are naturally gluten-free. A unique appetizer called pakoras are also often made exclusively with chickpea flour (no wheat) and fried in a gluten-free fryer (be sure to ask!).Gluten-free diets, while once obscure, are becoming the new norm.Right now, roughly 3 million U.S. people have celiac disease. And as many as 18.
Mexican, Hispanic, and Southwest – Chipotle, On the Border, Don Pablos, Taco Bell, and more. Pizza – Dominos, California Pizza Kitchen, and other gluten free pizzerias. Barbecue – Famous Dave’s, Dickey’s Barbecue, and other meaty joints.
Pub Style and Grills – Chili’s, Applebees, Hooters, and more.Of course, some restaurant concepts lend themselves particularly well to a gluten-free menu just by nature of the food they serve. That’s the case with Brazilian churrascarias like Chima Brazilian Steakhouse, Fogo de Chao, Rodizio Grill, and Texas de Brazil.

I don’t believe Starbucks oatmeal is gluten free. Be careful.
Thanks for the video! I just started exploring gluten free options and am looking forward to eliminating it from my diet. Gtk there are fast food options that will due in a pinch. That’s huge for me bc I drive for a living.
Man, I can’t even have the fries at most places because they’re thrown in a frier that’s been used for other gluten containing foods like breaded chicken strips.
Eating out can indeed be a challenge. Great Video! Yet I must say I am quite annoyed with Domino’s Pizza here in Australia. Be sure to check out my recent video

Today I was diagnosed with celiac disease and thanks to this video I can kinda figure out what I can eat at my favorite restaurants thanks!
My sis has celiac disease and I wanna find places to go for her, also anyone that’s gluten free, GO.TO.SALATA. It’s really healthy, gluten free, and there’s dairy free options too, and it’s so delicious!! I hate salad, but they’re salad is really good!!
I have celiac disease but I have “cheat days” like once every month err so. I know pf changs has gluten free menus. Honestly I don’t care about cross-contamination.:3
At Red Robin you can get a lettuce wrap for your burger or chicken!!SO GOOD!! And Jimmy Johns is also GF you can get any sandwich in a lettuce wrap!!
I have a gluten allergy and it’s pretty tough so can I get 5 likes
I’m trying to make some food for a friend with gluten problems. I am not a chef nor do I know how to make all these Asian dishes. Is there some way to make something good but easy like a casserole or lasagna that does not have gluten? This is very interesting but out of my league to make. (for a potluck at church so not a big chef’s kitchen)
Didnt know their oatmeal was certified gluten free. Thought it wasn’t
Thank you. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a couple of days ago and was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to eat out again. Now I know how to ask the questions and eat out with confidence again.
Don’t tell spongbob about Lettuce, it would be a really salad day otherwise!
Hey guys, The best results that I have ever had was with Marks magic method
(just google it) Without a doubt the most incredible diet that I have
ever tried.
I’m celiac but I’m muslim I don’t eat pork, thank you and bon appetit!!!
Katie your actually the person to make me aware of gluten and it’s possible affects. I figured out I am gluten sensitive and I can not thank you enough. for the first time in years my joints don’t ache, I don’t get migraines, my depression has gone way down practically away, I have way more energy and other things I may not be aware of I’m sure. so with deep appreciation thank you Katie for bringing awareness and making my life better then I once thought possible. love the vids and the general attitude towards life you show.
trying not to get emotional, I love you Jesus loves you, Steve:D
Burger 21. And thanks to you I take my daughter to Red Robbins
I have no kitchen and have to eat out instead. In order to keep the cost down I find supermarkets that have hot food sections. I get semi-home cooked meals for less than half of what eating out costs. I can have a roasted turkey dinner for the same price as a burger and fries at a fast food place. Metropolitan market is my go-to on a daily basis.
If you would be kind to download the app EATWISE GLOBALLY, and review GF restaurants, that would be helpful. This a crowd-sharing app for people to input dietary restrictions/preferences and allow users to find safe places to eat! Thank you. Available on apple and android…in English, Spanish, and French! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/eat-wise-globally/id1462019126?mt=8
I have a milk allergy and a gluten allergy. I know that the 99 restaurant has a gluten free section on the menu.
Ummmm… You should have been more specific when talking about curry. Japanese curry is NOT gluten free.
Thanks for this. On the lighter side, I figured out how to eat delicious food in a gluten intolerant world Instant gluten! Glutens are nasty little animals and we should make them extinct but they are SO delicious! Please check out my video: https://youtu.be/3K7aMHWRgUM
Thanks,
May I ask what font you are using for your thumbnail title? Cheers!
Thanks for telling me in n out has a gluten free menu!! I had no idea and its my fav fast food place. I cant eat gluten, soy or fry food and it sucks bcos when i do eat it my throat and my right earlobe feel discomfort. Btw, another place where they have a gluten free menu and bread is Denny’s and its delicious
Eh I dunno about Waffle House. I don’t feel super confident about eating there. I go there with my family and I only get the hasbrowns (bc I cant have eggs) and I’m like PHEW lucky I dont get sick bc when I watch they WILL GRILL TOAST on the grill for some orders and they dont really do any cleaning of the grill. so…
Thank you so much for telling me about Red Robin I looked on their website and it says they have a fryer dedicated to french fries!!!!!! Hell ya! Oh, and btw, Arbys has a really good Farmhouse Salad with Carved Turkey and Bacon gluten free!:)
i think there is a place called twigs tavern and grille in rochester MN there is other things there to i will have to check if i can i do not know about the chain bit for all but i will send you what i can
Thank you for the video. I know this is for people with celiac but my so just got diagnosed with Chron’s disease & needs to go gluten free. I’m happy that I can still take him out to eat.
I just found out I’m gluten intolerantthank you so much for these suggestions!!
I was just diagnosed with celiacs..this video has helped so much. Bummed I don’t live near an In n Out,. Thanks!!!
The spinach wrap from Starbucks is not actually gluten free! Be careful!
Yes! This was so helpful! Coeliac Aussie coming to the US in June and I love me some burgers and fries too!:)
You and I actually went to a Red Robin together once in like 2010 or so. Haha. Found this video totally by accident searching for gluten-related stuff
Thank you so so soooo much! I have been sick for a month and we didn’t know what was going on but recently I found out i have celiac and it has been so hard to adjust so this really helped!❤️
Love that they have a fry “fryer” that never touches the gluten laden chicken. It is a dedicated french fry fryer! WTG Chik-fila!
the spicy pepper paste in bimbimbap has gluten in it, so it is must to make sure they do not add that to the dish.
PF Changs has a gluten free menu. Boston market’s poultry gravy is gluten free. Nothing Bundt Cakes has one of the best gluten free cakes.
Hi Katie! I have a pretty severe gluten allergy. Sweetgreen, Tasty Burger and B.Good are also good options for us GF people. Their food is great and I don’t get sick when eating at those places. If you find yourself near one of those chains and you haven’t tried them yet, you should.
The Waffle House thing isn’t a good idea if you’re really sensitive to wheat (like allergic to wheat as well as gluten) because cross contamination on the grills. They never clean them. Denny’s is good though.
So glad to hear that rice noudles in pho is gluten free. Most authentic noodle soups is rice noudles i think. Im very glad to hear that as i love it so much
We eat at old Chicago, Pie five and at Wendy’s the chili passes my gluten detection service dogs check as long as you dont get any cheese on it!
Thank you very much for this. i was worried how I would do this if my 3 year old daughter has this disease. she will be having the bloodwork done in a week and a half.
I was diagnosis with Celiac Disease and here is a good web site about being Gluten Free. https://celiac.org/
Also check out Subway Restaurants.
Baked potatoes can be amazingly versatile, the only limit to what I put on them is the gluten allergy.
Nice looking resto. This is such an interesting series. Really enjoying it.
A chain of restaurants in Wisconsin called “Culvers” has a gluten free option. I have a gluten sensitivity.
Craig and the crew get it done for me.
Tell’em “Jake” sent you.
Now I need a video for gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and dairy-free dishes. Asian dishes would have been great for me but it’s the soy that gets me
Because you mentioned the makeup on your brow area, I stared the entire time to the area. I see it is actually a frown line. Sorry. I have OCD and couldn’t stop trying to figure it out.
Katie the world health organisation has actually said bacon and other processed meat can cause cancer
Yes! Omg this was so helpful! my husband was just diagnosis with celiac disease and is tired of chicken and misses having “soft” breads…lol if you find any more restaurants please share! I asked McAllister and they said they were but have not yet tried it.
Please don’t eat Pigs they are smarter than dogs. I know they taste good but Its almost like canabulism(sp) they are that smart.
And what to do when you r in Pakistan and on gluten free diet for your rest whole life?
Happy Thanksgiving Katie ohh and remember I love ya and Jesus Loves ya:) bye
I recently discovered that I had celiac disease and been looking up recipes without gluten or dairy. I then realized all my ads were about amazing foods containing gluten or dairy, I’ve never felt so bullied by YouTube before
Technically, a salad is any two or more things mixed in a bowl.
I’m not celiac, but big amounts of gluten leaves me feeling really awful. I can eat soy sauce though.
Number 10-1: Anything that has Nutella in it (yes, Nutella is gluten free read the label)
Shove your gluten free. I want extra gluten. Extra MSG too!
Anyone interested go to my gluten free group on FB “Gluten Free Show me what you are eating”
Thanks for this video I am intolerant to gluten and I thought I had to give up fast food, but so glad that I actually can eat at a few places without having to worry
Fresh rice noodles are often made with rice flour and wheat based “corn” flour so are not gluten free.
Pho is my favorite! My husband and I go out for it at least once a week!
Its Thailand that is still mainly GF. And Japan leans more that way. But Korea and China have eased wheat into products too just like u.s.
(I can’t speak for Cambodian or filipino food since over ten years now, but i’ld look in that direction too. I know glass noodles with roasted pork is one of my all time favorite foods ever).
I have not been compatible with gluten for several months. But now I have great recipes to eat without loss of taste.
your welcome to drop by ❤️
Great compilation, even though not all these recipes are healthy
First off there is a lot more traditional Mexican dishes that are gluten free.
all of these look like i would have to eat 2 dishes to get full.
I am gluten intolerant and I’ve been having a really hard time finding foods I like. This is helpful. However, my nutritionist said I have to limit rice due to arsenic.
uhmmm the rice vinegar used in the rice for sushi contains gluten.
Is Fenoboci Diet Plan effective to lost crazy amounts of weight? We have read a lot of good stuff about this popular weight loss method.
They never get a diagnosis…They always think they are their own doctors! It is very rare to have ciliac Disease but apparently every fat girl thinks thats the problem!
But what if you’re gluten and dairy intolerant? also nuts bother me and too much peanut stuff so not sure if peanut oil French fried would react well. I have Ibs and tons of intolerances. Sucks lol
Warning as someone who loves Koren Food Hot Pepper Paste Is Not Gluten Free!!!!
If you are allergic to gluten you can not consume cross reactive foods. No grains can can be consumed.
So gluten, sugar and dairy are no goes for me:( what can I eat?! I’m not vegan and I get acid when I eat quinoa or any other legumes. Faaaaack
Chick-fil-a has grilled nuggets and gluten free waffle fries! When you tell the cashier they will flag your order as gluten free so there is no cross contamination!
Dear Health-Conscious Dessert Lover try this http://bit.do/dL4ZW
The spicy chilli beef wraps from Gordon Ramsay are AMAZING one of my favourite dishes
allergies are mother natures way of letting you know that your parents are related
and that your should stop to further pollute the gene pool
see these are the people that need gluten free food, people with a DISEASE
Thank you for these delicious recipes! I was recently diagnosed with a gluten allergy after years of struggling with congestion. I’ve been looking for good recipes but there hard to find. Thank you for this! My mother gave me this book and I’ve really enjoyed some of the recipes in here:
https://www.amazon.com/Gluten-Free-Recipes-Healthy-Living-ebook/dp/B0719NZ7BY/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1495675403&sr=1-1&keywords=gluten+free
I’m new to the whole gluten free thing. If anyone else has any recipes, please share with me. Thanks!
When they say they don’t have that I say, okay can I have it without the bun and notify that it’s due to an allergy. It’s out of habit at this point, but I always keep a gluten free bun in my car cooler.
Basically everything I love to eat and now I have proof to my mom that I can
STOP! You have Bibimbap as a gluten free food with “no substitutes,” but it often has red bean paste (gochujang) which DOES have wheat in it. You have to buy it special in order for it to be gluten free. Actually, unless you do substitutes, Korean food is not a good gluten free food. It’s misleading since it looks like it should be, but most dishes have gochujang or soy sauce (often both) which both have gluten. You can find them available in gluten free versions and then eat your heart out.
Thank you!!! You just saved my life! I recently found out that I am gluten intolerant and I thought I would have to say goodbye to fast food but Red Robin can be my friend! Yyyyaayy! I’m doing it! I’m so going to keep going!!
Well this doesn’t help to much because my wife is also allergic to rice and peanuts
hi,imagine if u r gluten intolerance n allergic to nuts,soy,citrus fruits,tomato,ginger,mushrooms, beef, seafood,chocolate, n diabetic??then what to eat?!!
I’ve never seen a recipe for shepherd’s (or cottage) pie that didn’t involve a flour gravy as binder and flavor, nor a traditional meatloaf recipe that didn’t include breadcrumbs, although both can obviously involve substitutions to become gluten free. Most taco and chili seasoning mixes also contain gluten in the form of maltodextrin or flour, so be careful.
I still like your list, though, despite the fact sushi is on my very short list of common foods I’ve always found disgusting. Even made with cooked meat, all you taste in sushi is seaweed covered in soy sauce, because that salty, fishy, rotten-lettuce flavor is so strong. Add raw meat and it’s just vomit worthy. But I may come around eventually.
Aren’t most corn taco shells gluten free, including Old El Paso? Sure, not flour tortillas but true taco shells and corn chips. It’s the seasoning that’s usually the issue. so just use hot sauce and/or salsa to season your homemade tacos, or make your own mix.
Also, a prickly pear comes from a cactus and looks nothing like a typical pear, so that image is way off. Thanks for the video.
I really needed to find some recipes for my mom to try, she’s not supposed to eat gluten or dairy.
The only one of these 5 places you mentioned near me is Red Robin. There is a Chipotle in Boston but I live 45 mins away and don’t have a car. We have a Moe’s.
I wasn’t clear what scale the ratings were out of and why 4.4 was highlighted red. Looking it up, apparently Zagat adopted a 1to 5-point rating scale in 2016 in place of their 30-point scale for each component. I don’t know what the red highlight indicates.
Chipotle is not gluten free. Their seasonings for their meat are not gluten free.
anybody else realize that a lot of this is Asian food
The food looks amazing and comforting, not pretentious. And so well filmed, I can almost feel the cosy friendly atmosphere.
I do zucchini and mushrooms with marinara sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Burgers wrapped in lettuce also.
Love this video as I’m a coeliac so it gave me some great food idea’s. One video I would love you to do if you could is where are the winners and runner up’s of America’s Next Top Model now? what happened to them? are the runner up’s more successful than the winners etc. Would love to see a video like that
Love love love this!!
And as a fan of “Firefly” the series….this makes me even happier.
I’m too an a celiac, the fast food I like is from in n out. It’s called the protein diet.
They said they wouldn’t mention any dishes to which you’d have to make any drastic changes, but for the sushi, I feel like it wouldn’t go along with their “rules”.
As someone who’s recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease and looking to do some proper cooking to manage it, I can’t thank you guys enough for this <3
Dont you have to combine flour with liquid to make gluten? otherwise its just 2 separate wheat proteins…
Nice approach to gluten free. At least I have a better shot since February last year at avoiding gluten with the gluten testers out in the market. Makes my day, and the day after dining out.
Gochujang is NOT gluten free y’all. That is the red pepper paste in the bibimbap. And a lot of Korean food.
It’s pretty dumb to say that you should look out for tempura while eating sushi. That’s like saying look out for Caesar salad if you’re allergic to anchovies while eating in your pizza restaurant. It’s kind of obvious and not related to the item that you’re eating.
At McDonald’s ask for the double cheese burger (add lettuce)( no bun). Those are buttons they can hit on the register and they will put it in a tray.
Very cool, I liked the distinction between preferences and allergies at the end.
