I’ve been going to the gym for four months now 3-5 times a week. I lift heavy (ish) I’m getting there. I don’t seem to be gaining muscle mass in my legs atleast it’s not visible my strength has gone up incredibly. If anyone had any tips on what I can do to improve. Any nutrition 101 video that is 2 minutes long is just missing the point tbh. And I did that calculation 180/2 = 90 *.8 =72 grams of protein per day for a 5’9 180 pound male. Im sorry but your not gonna build lean muscle like that, maybe you’ll maintain muscle like that but if I go to the gym on that little protein id be sore for a week after.

My macros are the same and I’m 14 but I have less carb. I did a mathematic equation to get the macros I need.
Just curious… Are your protein sources from pastured, wild-caught, and/or grass-fed and finished animals? Also, why not use local raw honey instead of peach gummies? Or collagen protein for your joints rather than whey or casein? I’m always under the impression that macros are important, but so are the quality of where those macros are found. Also, I don’t exactly seeing you eating many dark leafy greens or cruciferous vegetables in your diet. Last thing: have you taken any food sensitivity tests and/or DNA testing to help quantify what foods work best for you?

Can someone please explain why you need x amount of protein per pound of body weight, should it not be lean mass instead?
My breakfast plate today was, 1 chopped frozen banana, handful spinach, 2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, 100 grams of oatmeal

Meat protein is good, anything that is animal protein is good. Dairy protein is good.
b. Carbs:
Carb:Fibre ratio = 5:1…
low glycemic index carbs in the morning, we can have higher ones after workouts
c. Fats:
Unsaturated fats are good and we can use them to replace carbs in the breakfast for better results.
d. Vitamins: essential
e. Salt: not to worry. Salt is necessary for drawing water into muscle cells to make them swell.
f. Cheating: Allowed for special occasions. Just get right back into your diet.

Dr. Stacy Sims is a leading researcher in this topic with tons of material out there. I’ve noticed this throughout several of your videos but had to reply now when you are promoting long post-workout recovery window. That’s really not optimal, especially for a woman in a high hormone phase. Please check Dr. Sims’ research out (easiest is a book ROAR).
