I am just starting out. 1 week in keto and I am thinking I am not doing well with cheese. Should I cut back?
LOL…I was watching this while brushing my teeth, and when I saw Marshall’s “sugar crash” face, I literally spit the water out of my mouth laughing hysterically!
I did make a treat of cream cheese, melted dark chocolate, peanut butter, and whipped heavy cream to make a thick mousse. I have a spoon when I need a sweet( sometimes a bit more). Not sure if it’s a cheat treat but it’s still not the cookie dough I was eating a last week.

Any thoughts on the fact that some dairy is very processed and putting that in the body? I do kerrygold butter but it’s hard to get all organic grass fed dairy due to its expense. Also-I think dairy makes me break out. I love cheese but I’ve been cutting back. Love your videos-I need your motivation. I’d love to lose 20 lbs but not great with being consistent and working out! I’ve lost some but I think I have too many cheats. And yes, I totally get the wanting something sweet after dinner!

Cheese is my go-to. Good as a snack, good as an add-on just plain ass good. I eat about 1/4 to 1/2 pound of cheese per day.
I’m lactose and I believe it’s best to avoid ice cream and milk, but cheese is fine!

I’m so glad you warned about the pastic wrapped cheese. Its scary stuff in there. Something else to consider if you incorporate cheese if the MOLD in it. I go for the Mozzarella in water which has the least amount of mold and I find that I tolerate that best. Second, the mozzarella in the store. But crumbled blue cheese or other aged cheeses give me a reaction especially inflammation and weight gain. Anyone interested can easily research the affects of mold. On rainy damp days I drag all day long and even get headaches due to mold as well.
I swear I was just thinking the other day I was doing something wrong by eating so much cheese. Cheese is life! Cheese is a big part of my meals as far as taste is concerned. Thanks for confirming its ok. Also whipped cream. Land O Lakes has sugar free whipped cream. One night wanted something sweet so I had 4 whole strawberries and ALOT of whipped cream. It satisfied that craving without putting me over net carbs. I actually went back for more cream. Its crazy b/c its unsweetened but substitutes great for a sweetener

So even though the wraps have wheat and flour we can eat them in moderation on Keto? I thought with keto you stay away from wheat and flour if we are trying to “loose weight” or are they only ok to eat once we are in the maintaining stage?

i am gonna put this in different way..i got gallbladder surgery,after that my food intake changed for ever..i couldnt eat pizza,french fries,anytime i ate Kraft cheese i had bloating pain in my gut.. my breakfast,used to be wheat bread and tea only,until i tried Cream Cheese and i dont have not discomfort and fill my breakfast well

Oddly enough when I cut my carbs down, I am now able to tolerate dairy now. Isn’t that odd? I would always have an upset stomach before and now I eat cheese & halo top and I’m fine.

If I can do Keto, ANYBODY can. Why? I do NOT like cheese, avocado, bacon, mushrooms, fish, etc.. So I don’t eat them! I lost 46 pounds in 5 months by eating chicken, beef, pork, veggies, homemade soups, Parmesan Crisps (Yes, that’s cheese but doesn’t have the texture of fresh cheese), olives, pickles, HWC and butter. Don’t let anybody tell you guys you have to eat something you don’t like. The Ketogenic Diet can be tweaked to fit anybody’s lifestyle. Good luck all. And thanks, Ashley, for all your amazing videos.
