I was arm wrestling about 10 times against strong opposition, now Both arms major pain throughout biceps and elbow joints, tingling in hands and forearms and itchyness, maybe nerve damage? it’s been 9 days, no relief yet. I train light weight in the gym.
I was running routes catching the football today, was running a fade, ball came far left back shoulder and I had to contort my body to make the catch and felt me knee pop. Didn’t think anything if it and continued to run for about another 30-40 minutes. My knee eventually had pain and I ended up going to a store where I tried to squat down, my knee popped again and I had a VERY intense pain in my knee that hasnt stopped, and my knee still is extremely tight and painful hours later
How do i git the swellen down fast its benn 2 weeks i fell wrong and my leg wass swollin now its not swollen but my nee is still swoll in but not that bad as befor
I you decide to continue this educational series, a couple more injuries would include:
Owen Hart vs Steve Austin
AJ Styles vs Yoshi Tatsu
Katsuyori Shibata vs Kazuchika Okada
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading these GOLDS. Any more on the seminar?
I hope Janis or Raimonds will read this.. I have unbelievable pain in my left arm if I armwrestle 1-2 rounds for a whole week… how did this happen
so I armwrestle practice once a week for about 2 hours, but the next day I tried again against a guy who I had no opportunity to pull again and I gave it my all on my left hand
He just held me and I tried with all my power (like opening a stuck mason jar when you use all your force) and after that my hand hurt like hell
I couldn’t sleep that night from the pain, I woke up in the middle of the night, and the pain didn’t stop for more than a week
Then after the pain was gone I pulled once again on left, but I felt the immense pain only after 3 practice pulls that didn’t last more than 5 seconds and again the pain lasted for a week and it was unbearable pain. I wanted to amputate my arm, I felt as if my arm will fall off my body. And commited to not pull on left for along time. Then I pulled again after more than 40days and only 2 times (less than 10seconds combined of armwrestling) and again the same story I had immense pain for days, it subsided after a week..
I can move and lift weights with my left arm, and i never feel pain anywhere now, but I know that if pull it will hurt for days again, unlike my right arm.
Do you know the reason for this?
These neck injuries sure rule out any wants I have to try any wrestling out.Ouch!!!
My weight is only 44KG and i am 5.7 foot tall, please tell me how can i increase my weight
I’m in England, where do I find someone just to practice arm wrestling with?
This maybe a not so complex wrestling injury, I’m still amazed at how the Undertaker wrestled in the elimination chamber after getting 2nd degree burns from pyrotechnics

Do I really hear ignorant fucking ungrateful morons talking in the background while he’s dropping crazy gold nuggets of knowledge????
This dude is a must subscribe. He deserves a million subs. The way he describes the injury without disrespecting the wrestling business is respectable. He is very likable also.
you should do big show choke slammin john cena thru a stage light or “extreme attitude adjustment week top 10”
I will never watch one of your videos again. I am so tired of your foul language

And this is why people don’t like doctors like you. You’re never believable.
That wasn’t the injury that paralysed Hayabusa. It was the moonsault off the middle rope where his neck is arched back
Dr. Chris Raynor, big wresting fan here. The Japanese wrestlers traditionally work their necks for strength and flexibility, much more so than other wrestlers on average. From what I’ve observed, this helps them out in comparison to their peers if they were to theoretically take the same bumps. It definitely seems to work. What do you think?
Hey man I’ve just started out and heard a small crack sound from my tendon during an arm wrestle. It’s sore now but not too bad, only when under heavyish side pressure or when massaging deeply. Could it have torn you think or perhaps it’s just swollen?
everyone: wrestling is fake
Randy and Jeff: am i a joke to you?
Most of them are soo funny they fight for belt without wearing pant
He just said injuries helped him grow the most than said right after, #1 thing is, don’t get injured and never stop….

Hej man, i workout 3/4 days a week in the gym, 3 days ago i accepted a challenge from my friend at armwrestling, (he weight 130kg, me 88kg) same strenght more or less, it was an endless duel, eventually i beat him. The day after i wake up with an incredible pain in my elbow, some time i can feel pain even in my trapezious, what should i do? Can workout with lower weight or i should be at rest?
You don’t last as long as you have, in any sport, by training stupidly! So.. don’t train harder until you’re used to the current workload? And don’t hit a max effort too often! It took me 20 years to figure that out! You’ve just told everyone, two of the three most useful theories in strength sports! I hope they appreciate it!
Baby face commentator.Don`t you want to swear a little bit more so we can understand you better? Hmmmmm?
I’ve been in extreme pain the last few days knee has zero mobility
Doc, are you a fan of wrestling in general? There are a lot of youtube doctors who cover their favorite sport. Just asking.
Yall forgot about the time Jeff Hardy got hit with a Chair and fell on the stairs head first from the cage
I was there when joey mercurys accident happened…I was only 14 and I knew something wasnt right right away

How long it takes to build tendons in order to feel no pain?
you should check out Perro Aguayo Jr vs. Rey Mysterio. i still dont know how Perro Aguayo ended up dying but some people say it was a drop kick to the head and neck.
Hey Doc can you do a visual assessment on professional weightlifting injuries
Way too many curse words knowing damn well kids would watch.
I’ll never get used to seeing Sorensen collapsing like that.
I envy Coach Ray if he only gets muscle pain after 2 hours of training…
does the bullshit star background with the PiP of the show actually stop the DMC take down? lol
I have elbow pain but I never stop training now I think it’s a bit of a part of me I don’t take it seriously
will my present condition have a bad future for armwrestling
I needed to hear this. Started pulling two weeks ago. Elbows were killing me, and I had been doing arm wrestling training with weights for several months before hand. It’s totally different actually arm wrestling. Today was not an Arm day. I pulled two days ago, but doing squats today the angle of my arms holding on to the bar totally brought back that excrutiaitng pain in my elbows! rest is definitely a must for my tendons.
Can you do a video explaining Dale Earnhardt’s injury at Daytona??
Toddzillas program (which Ryan Bowen has been demonstrating on his channel for months) really helps recover from, and prevent injury. Same with Michael Todd’s. They do enough volume days to keep blood flow in the area and repair is almost instantaneous. Once you get used to it, you will have virtually no elbow pain anymore. I know I don’t! I can be at the table red-lining for hours now and only feel a pump.
I have been having elbow pain for more than 2 months when I am warm during workout and armwrestling I don’t feel pain but when I cool down it hurts like hell
I don’t wanna stop lifting heavy weight coz I have never been this addicted to weight what should I do
The move you showed in the video is not the botch that paralyzed Hayabusa. The clip used was a top rope shooting star press and if I recall correctly, he did not receive an injury from that botch. You describe the injury event accurately but the clip was wrong. The actual botch was incredibly disturbing because he slipped when trying to do the moonsault. Moonsault aka backflip if you do want to review the footage. I am not say revisit this for a video because you already discussed it but you might want to review the actual footage.
Like the video. I just don’t understand why you feel you have to use the F word SO MUCH!
You could do a whole video on just AJ Styles and his finisher on wrestlers.
Varsity teachers(batchmates)-lesson plan(attendance-campus(intramural sports-division meet-schedule-members
Sabu is something special in the world of pro wrestling. He’s a maniac, has no concern about his body or injuries. He just goes out there and doing all that insane stuff. That’s what he always did.
Jesse had a bright future, I could see him do wondering things ☹
I was starting to liking him when I was watching Impact.
I’m fucking never gonna do this at home college or anywhere else
Ladders made of wood painted to look like steel? Lmao fucking idiot they are fiberglass and aluminum. Not wood. You dont find many steel ladders anywhere. I dont think ive ever seen a steel ladder that wasn’t attached to a building. This guy thinks they were using WOODEN ladder ahhhhhahahahahaha. Why would they use a wood ladder. Do you know how heavy a wooden ladder that size would be. Lmao thats great. Steel chairs, steel cage,….steel ladder? Lol
How about: which wwe wrestlers could have avoided spine fusion surgery
My elbows keep on hurting after I do arm wrestling training or after arm wrestling a friend, although it heals two or three days. Is it normal? Or do I have arthritis? What should I do to recover fast?
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT RECENTLY!!!

Just noticed how far away Kurt was from Brock during the shooting star press. I think that had to do with why the move was botched.
I’m training my forearms 3x a week, what would be the 3 things you’d recommend to be able to keep going hard.
If people don’t believe wrestling is real
THEN THEY HAVEN’T WATCHED WWE
I want to see him Looking over Takahashi. Injury from Dragon lee
Didn’t sabu kayfabe that injury? Like refusing to speak English to the doctors?
the one i remembers the most is owen hart vs stone cold steve austin. steve austin adjusted for a knee landing but owen hart did the butt landing. brutal neck injury. i think they needed to fuse some of his spines together.
Stop cussing in your videos. A lot of little kids watch these things.
Arm wrestling hurts only first teen years, is this true
ive noticed i only just started arm wrestling with left arm and i have armwrestled a few months with right arm and my left takes atleast 2-3 more days to recover compared to right its just a time thing
hey doc, I’d like to ask you to cover zlatan ibrahimovic’s knee injury in 2017 and his quick recovery at the time
why not cover Becky Lynch? she has had a few injuries. for example when she fought Jax and one that a lot of people are talking about is when she got bite on her neck.
Coach Ray looking beefy did you find peaking for your push-pull contest transfer to usable strength on the table?
Joint pain when starting armwresting training is inevitable..its so different than bbing or any other training. The key is getting the exact form just right. Doing preacher bench ‘hook training’ type stuff will destroy the elbows in my experience
Please take a look at the Sabu vs Terry Funk ECW bicep rip with barbed wire. Sabu said in a shoot interview that the most terrifying thing was that it wouldn’t bleed at first and he could see inside at everything.
Guys, sound quality is dreadful. Too much echo and background noise from someone else in the gym. Fix this and quality will go up hugely.
A interesting one you could cover was the Neck Injury to Rhyno when missed a spear and went through a shopping cart
The fact that you are calling Shawn Michaels “the best wrestler” until he was dethroned by Shane McMahon makes your credibility go down the drain. Neither one of those guys is even close to being the “best wrestler” at all.
how can you discuss this without mentioning PEDs?……………. HGH and nandrolone
I’m surprised the time Vader hit kane with the Vader bomb wasn’t there. I was a kid when I saw it and It was brutal looking.
The clip that you showed, isn’t the actual match were Hayabusa got injured, the actual clip is even worse, not only because he bent his neck in the most horrendous way possible, but also because after that the match wasn’t immediately stopped, and Mammoth Sasaki even tried a headlock on Hayabusa, it’s hard to watch.
Edit: I’ve noticed that you got sent the correct clip know, but this one is in much better quality than the one that got sent to you https://youtu.be/ZHtAybNPPRs?t=742
I started Armwrestling in February of this year, at a practice in mid April I really made my wrist sore (had to take ibuprofen during the night to be able to sleep for a few days), I have continued to train, stretch twice a day, took 2 one week breaks and 1 two week, I’m considering now maybe taking a three week deload at 50% for strap pronation and supination, those exercises seem to cause the most irritation. Sorry so long, I would appreciate any thoughts
John cena vs batista, batista bombed so hard his neck suffured a injury
Summerslam 2008 John cena suffered a herniated disk in his match against Batista
The outside of my elbow to my shoulder and in some extreme cases down to my fingers has been hurting.
Always rest first!!! When it feels better don’t go straight back to heavy sport.!
You should look into Mitsuharu Misawa, a Japanese wrestler who was knocked unconscious during a match and was rushed to a hospital where he passed away. There isn’t much information on it but police office announced it as a “cervical cord transection” while others have reported a separation of the C1 and C2 vertebrate.
As much as I hated MNM (and still do) I was actually hoping that was the last of them…
Droz’s neck injury is the most horrifying injury because he ended up being paralyzed for life (probably)
I twisted my knee riding a bike collision to pavement 20 years ago, recently it acting up, am using anti flamatories.and a band am going to try ice now.
I can’t find it on Youtube but I can remember that infamous fight where Hulk Hogan got his head brutally ripped off by Ric Flair and then Flair kicked Hogan’s head into the audience? I remember the audience screaming and running out of the arena in shock. The thing I couldn’t stomach was the following bit when you could see Hogan’s headless body just lying there twitching inside the ring. Thankfully, Hogan miraculously survived and he eventually claimed $1.65 compensation for brain damage.
Mankind and the undertaker is hands down one of the greatest matches of all time
I can’t imagine how effective actually this impressive knee pain remedy “Yοyοkοn Vxy” (Google it). In a matter of One week, I notice improvements and pain medicines usually are needless for my knee soreness. It is superb exactly how this method deliver good results so quick and efficient. I would certainly recommend this remedy..
Did Mick Foley did not have to tear a year off to get off the ropes he said in the interview that Bader punch them in his ear fell off in referee told him here’s your ear
Maybe ask photographers to fix a little bit? Couldn’t see your lower body when u giving instructions about standing positions.
I armwrestled for the first time last Wednesday. Today is Saturday and I’m feeling quite good. I didn’t have much pain either. Maybe it’s because I did a lot of armwrestling exercises for forearms and wrists prior.
Lets say i have done some heavy training on table and feel the pain ( not an injury pain but pain for going too hard)…like you said i should do 1/2days rest until thr pain gets away…than do some light weight exercices to get blood in those points (doing that for 2 days i hope???) Thats 4 days… would like to know when i’ll be able to do heavy training with weights to get stronger before i get to the next table session…i would take more than a week or so before next table session?…or maybe as a beginer(5 months in) i should only focus on table for now
I’m genuinely so happy Hiromu is healthy and back. That injury took off months of his career at the height of his popularity, but more importantly could have ended his career and dramatically affected his health. Given his match with Ishimori at the 2018 BOSJ looked much more violent, it highlights how seemingly innocuous moves are often the most dangerous.
Appreciate Video clip! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about Dinanlinson Rocky Position Approach (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one off product for learning how to fix chronic knee pain minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam finally got great results with it.
You should look up the The Beverly Brothers shakenhigh-spike
I already knew about his ear, but just watching this again makes me wonder: how in the fuck is Mick Foley still alive
you guys ever used a TENS machine? small electric shocks right to the tendon.
Fun fact vader is the only WWE Hall of famer who played in a super bowl
I find it surprising that Steve Austin’s injury wasn’t covered… For some reason whenever fans think of live accidents the first thing that comes to mind is that horrible botch in the summer of 97… Probably because it was the first time ever that a heel who wanted to destroy the face in the storylines, very nearly came close to doing that in real life
I was learning to drive when I started. That first lesson after my first AW session was not fun. I didn’t want to look like it hurt, so I did my best to keep a straight face each time I forced a gear change. I’m only glad that I don’t do a manual labour job in between sessions! I know that a lot of armwrestlers are in those kinds of jobs.
Hey doc, great channel. I have multiple broken disc’s, 5 in my cervical 1 in my thoracic and two in my lumbar. I fell from a scaffolding in my mid twenties. I’m now 49. I was on opioids for 12 years. I’m not any more I’m 100% cannibis to treat my pain, withdrawal lasted for 4 months it was a living nightmare.
It was recommended to wait as long as possible until I start having surgery’s. I’m disabled since 2012 & have already had 3 ssdi reviews which is crap to me. I’m no scammer. My question is which area to have surgery first. My garbage insurance force’s me to have physical therapy before I can get newer MRI’S this will be the fourth time. Should I go with the area that is worse or the one that hurts more. Thank you
This is a great informative video. I have really bad injuries in my elbow from baseball as a child and boxing the rest of my life. If I’m ever trying to gross people out I can just flex really fast and you can hear my arm from across the room lol. It doesn’t hurt much anymore but it sounds like a hefty tree limb snapping. I’m more informed now though. Any tips for rehabilitation from anyone with experience?
ill rather stay home and cast my legs and armes just in case
how about when Owen Hart broke Steve Austin’s neck with a piledriver
i had wrestled 10 times and i had feel great pain that i cant control my hand is it serius injury plz reply
Have you done an analysis on the botched pile driver Owen Hart did to Stone Cold?
Sabu tipped his bicep open and taped it up to finish the match.
Sabu is no ordinary man.
Should do one on perro aguayo jr. He passed from a botched move that resulted in a neck injury
Does Janis have any matches coming up I love seeing him pull?
It’s 5:40am and I have traveled down a rabbit hole of WWE compilations. 4:34 made me laugh so hard I cried and I’m not sure if it’s exhaustion or if I just want to watch that top 10 SO bad
Can you do a video for katsuyori shibata? He did a headbutt and got a subdural hematoma
Are we not mentioning Dean Ambrose when his head went through cinder blocks, or Daniel Bryans broken neck??
When I was 14 I dived into murky water and suffered the same kind of injury as the New Japan guy in San Francisco. I was temporarily paralyzed it was scary but I regained feeling and dragged myself out of the water with everything I had.
Nice video man ı need take a few question for you. How much time we could table traning 3 hours is good?
A video of Masawas in ring death due to internal decapitation, and how his wrestling style led to this would be an insightful video.
9:09 You know the impact is bad when even the hitter feels some pain.
Arm wrestling is not like any other training. The pain after a hard table session is excruciating! This pain tends to last forever personally I try not to over train in my table sessions but just get a very good workout. For recovery I recommend ice packs are available as they help enormously with inflammation and pain. I also use a hammer for wrist and forearm exercises at high reps. Try to train smart but remember, you are dealing with muscle, tendon bone and nerve pain from armwrestling. This is the reason so many people quit. They can’t handle it.
Ummm he tore his ear off, must be he didn’t want to get his knees dirty on the ring seeings how that all he really had to do!
Long time YouTube watcher 1st time on this channel
Subscribed right after this video
I got this at primrose. 5 months ago. My mom took me out because it was sometimes repetitive
I think I have this it happens only sometimes when I arm wrestle
I feel guilty for being so addicted to this channel. I guess I can feel better because he’s educating me about the seriousness of all the situations.
2:18 I knew it! Devon cycle’s. You can’t be that good and not be doing something 😉
I’d love to listen to you explain Katsuyori Shibata’s retirement and potential return to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Did you have to show foley jumping off the cell 5 times? (Including photos). Could show him being put through the cell? You mentioned it but didn’t show it
Its a shame you didn’t mention my man Ravishing Rick Rude, who’s career was ended with a neck injury caused by Sting.
Curious, will I always have the clicking in my elbow? Is it broken pieces of cartilage by chance? How common is it? Not much information on clicks…
One thing that makes my Ortho module go well for me is your channel…
Mark Bell…”Mike Bell” actually I do believe…. WWF roster and it was Perry Saturn that ended his career
Austin getting dropped on his head by Owen should have been on this list.
I love that Janis is not only using his experience as an arm wrestler but also as a physiotherapist when sharing his knowledge. You guys I think are pushing the community forward in such a huge way.
I used to drink straight up flax seed oil. No idea if it actually worked, but after having horrible elbow pain for 6 months straight, after 3 weeks of drinking that stuff it went away.
the bs stary background to avoid dmca takedown wow just lame as hell
This is a golden nugget Chanel.
The cross over with wresting and a doctor explaining injuries is just blowing my mind.
Love from the Uk
Should have mentioned when Lesnar brock hardcore Holly’s neck!
Hell yeah this is a bad ass idea for a video. I think you’re onto something doc. You gained my
Ironically, Angle broke his neck prior to their WM match. Both guys were not in good shape after that match
I didn’t grow up with mick Foley but he is a god damn legend!

Thanks man this is a bit better than before!
Can’t thank you enough.
Did you turn the music off or something? Because the problem was only with your voice volume ( i don’t know how to explain it sorry, it’s just that you maybe need to get closer to the camera or maybe use microphones. )
Anyways thank you very much for your concern, it means the world to me:)
I would Like you to cover the neck injury Steve Austin got when the late Owen Hart did a piledriver to him.
The clip of Hayabusa’s neckbreak is not the clip that paralyzed him..the clip that paralyzed him is way worse.
Guys! Please tell this to Jujimufu! I’d hate to see him stop arm wrestling because of his tendinitis.
WWE is actually one of the most Dangerous wrestling match especially when….Joey Mercury got blood is his nose… I was like…..dammnnnn nioce ketchup at Ur mouth and nose boi
Hey Chris I love your videos. I would like to see a video on whether or not Stone Cold Steve Austin’s career would be shortened like it was in the late 90’s had he been around with the technology we have today. If Edge & Daniel Bryan have been able to come back, I wonder if Austin would’ve been able to make a full recovery and return like they did if he was younger and this happened today.
As both a wrestling fan and a med student, this is the type of content I need.
Wwe always say no to the date you wanna play with the red red white we are just kidding about me and you can play it again I wanna play fortnite was a dark yt we are still going treetops was your a week off I was thinking I just got every other girl utreee was I just e
Do La Parka diving to the outside vs Rush. Unfortunately he died a few weeks back.
Surprised you didn’t take about stone cold injury! Just a thought! Also love this channel is it addicting xD
It’s a very important topic and I would recommend you guys to do more videos on this something like recovery for a beginner video, recovery for a amateur and recovery for a national level. And structure the content by organizing it into sections of exercise, medication, diet etc.
Just a humble suggestion
fuck you if you don’t think these people a athletes..
I crY t disney movies.. and I it cried now
Hiromu’s neck injury was hard to handle as a fan. But now he’s back throwing himself purposely on his neck. I just hope he’s careful about it now though.
You should cover stone cold Steve Austin’s neck injury from the Owen heart match! Love the vids buddy!

Personally, I learn more looking the girls arm wrestlers (Sarah Bakman, Gabriellya Vasconsellos) than many of the mens long explanations. I think is because they apply the a-b-c of technique in a simple way, but beyond that, looking arm wrestling as a sport, it is valid for achieving personal strength without compromising once own health and get injured. The lesson I got from this video is that what is not visible is has equal or even more important than what is visible: what the point to have big muscles if my heart is weak and cannot pump nutrients to all the muscles? Aerobic, then is also important for arm wrestling.
Joey mercury was embrasse fr him. and got wwe looks real asf
Didn’t do the Austin injury? That’s like the most famous one of them all brother
Thank you for posting all of these video! There is a lot of awesome advice. THANK YOU!
Devon is that strong, but i would like to see him play against Cyplenkov or Voevoda.
