Steps 1 Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. 2 Cut peeled bananas in 1-inch-thick slices. Insert toothpick into each slice; place on cookie sheet. Freeze 30 minutes. 3 In medium microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips.
How to make frozen banana bites Peel and slice ripe bananas into 1/4 inch rounds and place them on a cookie sheet. Freeze the banana slices on the cookie sheet for at least 1 hour. Melt the coconut oil, and mix in the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until it’s combined well.Slice bananas and place slices onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes.
Melt together chocolate chips and coconut oil in a.Place sprinkles, nuts, coconut or Heath bar bits in a shallow bowl. Use a thin metal spatula to coat each banana with chocolate.
Working over topping bowl, sprinkle each coated banana with topping. Place bananas back on baking sheet and freeze until chocolate is firm, at least 30 minutes and up to 1 day.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt chocolate chips over a double boiler until smooth and creamy; remove from heat. Using a spoon, carefully dip each banana slice in the chocolate and rotate until evenly coated. Place on the prepared baking.Once bananas are frozen, mix the coconut oil and cocoa together until thick enough to stick to the bananas (you may need more than 1 tbsp for this, as I had different results with different cocoa) One by one, dip the frozen bananas into the chocolate mixture, it should harden straight away.Cover a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Spoon a thin layer of peanut butter on top of each banana slice. Insert a toothpick through the peanut butter layer into the banana. Transfer to freezer for approximately 5 minutes or until chocolate sets.Combine chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl.
Heat in the microwave in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth, stirring after each interval. Step 5 Coat each side of the skewered bacon with the chocolate mixture.To melt your chocolate in a microwave, place chopped chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave at 30-second intervals. Stir each time in between until the chocolate is melted and smooth. It takes about 2-3 minutes in total depending on the amount of chocolate and the power of your microwave.
Place a toothpick in each and place in the freezer while you prepare the chocolate. Place the chocolate and coconut oil in a small bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted. Carefully dip each of the banana bites into the chocolate so that the banana is.Slice bananas into Β½-inch (1 cm) thick rounds.
Spread peanut butter on a slice of banana, then top with another slice. Lay the bites on the prepared baking sheet and freeze until solid, for about an hour. In a small bowl, melt dark chocolate with coconut oil until smooth.Slice bananas into 1/2-inch pieces. Cover a baking sheet in parchment paper or waxed paper to prevent sticking.
Arrange banana slices flat on baking sheet without touching, and freeze for at least 30 minutes. Place chocolate in a microwave.

I used to buy the box containing sticks and chocolate but the taste of the chocolate was too diluted, too oily. I have been melting my own chocolate but I have noticed it’s too thick, I had no idea about adding oil but I know now. Thank You
also, to those that dont have chocolate, you can use coconut oil. Just melt it and mix a lot of cocoa powder, i use no sugar with it, but you can add sugar to make it sweeter. Once you freeze it, its so good as well

This looks delicious, Robin! Thank you for the idea! I have Hershey’s chocolate syrup and another kind of ice cream chocolate syrup that hardens upon contact with frozen things. I am going to do an experiment now to see which one might work (freezing the banana first with the ice cream chocolate). If neither works, I will get the Guittard chips tomorrow. Also have a variety of nuts to try.:)

This is an EXCELLENT recipe for moist banana bread. I substituted white sugar for brown sugar, added spices, and a Tablespoon of vanilla flavor instead of a teaspoon for more flavor.
I just made this banana bread recipe but without chocolate chips and it was still amazing!!
It was a fail in shape and chocolate wasnt enough BUT IT was delicious!!!!
I ended up using 1/4 cup of brown sugar and strawberry flavored yogurt, I thought it tasted great…especially for someone who haven’t been eating any sweet desserts for the past five months. I even baked my bananas in the oven to bring the sweetness out prior to the preparation.

She didn’t mention that when microwaving, you need to lower the heat amount. Also, don’t zap your chocolate! Instead, boil water and put a bowl on top of the boiling pot to melt your chocolate. Makes a HUGE difference in taste.

Wouldn’t the chocolate stick onto the foil such that when it is taken off the foil, the chocolate around the banana wouldn’t look perfect. Also, what if I have other food such as fish and meat in my freezer?
I made one the other day with Bisquick instead of the flour and other dry ingredients. Added walnuts and for the sugar I used half and half white sugar and brown sugar. And it was delish!

Tried this recipe just now… I’ll let you know how it turned out. The buns are in the oven βΊοΈ (The recipe was big enough for two small bread pans and I used 3 very ripe and replaced a C of sugar with 3/4 c brown sugar)
