She didn’t even eat the chicken in the tasting, and followed that with a “Mmmmm”. WTF!?! How tasty is that?
It looks like an another version of chicken noodle soup. I have a cold right now and this recipe is going to help a lot! Thank you for a great recipe and also congrats with your pregnancy!!!
I happen to have all of these ingredients on hand. I’m going to try this out today. Locked down in Southern Cali. Thank you!
nice recipe but plz dont use steel ladle for soup it destroys its consistency. wooden /plastic or non stick are the best options.
I have frozen green beans…when is the best time to put them in?
CONGRATULATIONS on having a baby. Much Joy and many Blessings.
Congrats on your bundle of joy. You look glowing and beautiful Rina xoxo
Yay!! I thought a few weeks ago you looked pregnant as wondered if you were going to announce it!
I’ve been making a variation of this soup for years, especially during the winter months. Thank you for sharing.
Very comforting meal on a cold, 5F day. I hate winter which is also why I love soup!:D
i would have cut the bok choy into small pieces. I hate whole bok choy like that. makes it difficult to eat
Ow my god!! Had no idea Shira is pregnant!! Congratulations momma:))
@SimpleCookingChannel, I have a simple meal recommendation for you! I call it Mush, but as that’s not a very appetizing name, you can call it whatever you like.
Steam 1 head of broccoli and one head of cauliflower until they’re very soft. Mash them together until they’re more or less combined as tiny pieces. Add 2-4 cups (depending on how chunk you like your recipe) of mashed potatoes, either from a box of flakes (more runny) or homemade (thicker). After that, add butter/salt/pepper to taste. I like to add sour cream and plenty of cheddar cheese to mine, but my mom prefers garlic and green onions. Basically, add whatever you like. I bet adding carrots or some meat would be tasty, too!
It’s a super easy dish and feeds around 4 people, depending on how many bowls each person eats:)
Happy cooking!
xoxo, Emily, college student and long-time fan of your channel
I attempted a variation of these flavors (what I had at hand) today with great success.
Sautéd 1 cup each of chopped onions, celery and carrots, 1tbp minced garlic. Salt n pepper.
Fresh Ginger, lemon, turmeric, 1 lb ground chicken, fresh thyme and parsley, topped off with water and boiled. Added fresh basil at the end. Served with precooked brown rice. This is my new fav soup!! Thank you for introducing me to tumeric n ginger in soup!
Thank you been looking for good recipe with ginger and chicken broth
The baby is going to be so healthy! I want to know if she gets like junk food cravings hahaha
they sell stock in a pack?? o.o
and isnt the stock already really salty?
That looks sooo good! And lucky me, my grocery store has been getting AMAZING ginger in!
I just made this and it was sooo good! Thanks for the easy way to make it! And I’m not a cooker at all and that SOUP was AMAZING! THANKS BRO
won’t the vegetables cooking for an hour in the stock lead to overcooking and ultimately resulting the veggies in losing nutrition?
THANKS YOU GOODNESS CHICKEN SOUP.♥️ BROWN FAMILY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS
I tried the spicy asian chicken soup. It was too bland for my taste. I doubled the garlic, spices, added more salt and it came out much better.
I always look forward to your recipes Sarah. Their always amazing!
In indonesia this dish is very common, they call it Soto Ayam
Thanks for the recipe about food flavored tea used my a spoon which is a mini bowl on a stick
loving this. Very Asian inspired and i imagine it taste good. Perfectly serving during cold weather.
Hi Sarah, Im Indonesian and this is the exact basic recipe for a popular soup in here called Soto Ayam. Try adding sliced onion, celery and lime’s leaf to the broth (the celery really gives a boost) and serve it with vermicelli noodles instead of angels hair. Top it off with fried shallots and sprouts. Add some lime juice and or minced birds eye chili if u like!
Soup is my favourite you prepared it so well and looks so simple
Apart from a little oil used in the beginning, this dish is 99% fat free, breast meat has little to no fat, if you omit the addition of salt and used low salt stock you would easily lose tons of weight eating just this for a month. In fact, I did just that, I ate this exact soup three times a day for 31 days and lost 12kg. I kept going for another month and lost an additional 7kg, then went for three more months and lost 16kg more, over five months of eating only this soup I lost 35kg, and am back to being well within the healthy weight range.
Salting a protein before poaching makes no sense. The salt will just dissolve into the liquid so you could have just added more flavor by using another form of salt (broth, soy, citrus, etc). Also…wtf is going on with the ridiculous amount of dill she added? I rarely meet people that want giant sprigs of dill in a spoon of soup. She talks about presentation, but seems to not understand what that means…but…I digest.
For a better taste i would use some chicken parts with bones in it, let it simmer, and then add whatever vegetables you like! It is weird to me, that this guy started first w/ veg and then he trew some chicken in there…wtf??
Hello beautiful Sarah Red head alert.. I wanna taste your chicken soup tonight.. Yum.. 2018… Yeah..

I made this a few weeks ago it was a hit here. There is only 2 of us so I was able to put away two meals (it made three meals) for when we were in a hurry or just a cold night. Thanks for the recipe.
Can I add rice? How much do you advise? I love your recipe <3 Thanks
I followed this recipe two days ago and it came out real good. My wife really liked the soup along with my three kids. I am going to make it again today. Thanks for recipe.
Raw chicken added straight into soup? Thought you had to precook
I love making soups but I’ve never considered adding greens to the bowl. This looks amazing. Love you, Sarah!
id have added some cornflour to thicken but entirely up to the individual
Hi. My Mum cooks a lovely Spanish soup. It’s called Soupa. It’s delicious.
Your knife skills make me twitch abit, i’m surprised you’ve not cut your finger tips
I actually followed everything step by step and it came out amazing I did not add the pasta part no carbs for me haha but it’s amazing soup thanks soooooo much for that video ❤️
Great video & simple recipe. My question is, instead of cooking the veggies in oil, can’t I just boil the boil veggies & potatoes in water instead? This way there’s no oil in my soup.
so easy to make
my husband was mad with me last
because I don’t know how to make soup.
now I’m ready to make it for him.
thanks for the good video.
good recipe
I’ll have to sub the broccoli with cauliflower and omit the pasta to reduce carbs…
I just made this and it was amazing however I did not add pasta just because I don’t like noodles in my soup
awesome stuff and helps that you are aussie so i know the kinda stuff you are working with and this is gonna be a good idea heading into winter
i feel like theres so many ways of making chicken soup. i learned the hispanic way which has different veggies. but in all reality its basically the same thing. only difference we boil the chicken first. and we do bigger pieces of chicken.
i made this for my husband it was really delicious he loves it thank you
Jason thank you so much for this recipe. Its freezing cold in South Australia today and I have prepared this for dinner, and it is sooooo delish xxxx
Thanks! I just made it for dinner. The family is gathering yum yum Where is Ayla? I miss her!!!
I just made this tonight. It is very delicious! I didn’t expect it to be so simple. Thank you so much!
This is a good recipe. I was looking for this. Thanks Sarah!
Ahaha, the final plating looks like a Rorschach test picture))
I make a similar soup, but add pinto beans and a can of diced tomatoes. My daughter calls it special soup and often requests it. Try garnishing it with parmesan or sour cream for a different taste.
Nice and easy, just require time to simmer, but seems absolutely fine 😉
I made this 30mins ago. It turned out great! Awesome recipe! Thank you!
ive been wanting to make some chicken soup! Thanks for the recipe ^_^
mmm comfort food ☺ I just made a big pot of pea and ham soup. I can make this one next week sometime ❤

I made your 3 ingredient garlic bread cheese pizza yesterday and finished off the rest today. That was around 2 in the afternoon….After watching this video I didn’t realized that I’m now hungry….Something told me to wait till tomorrow but I couldn’t wait. Now I’m smacking my forehead.
Also at one of my local dollar tree stores they’re selling pink Himalayan salt. I had to grab a bottle because that salt anywhere else is expensive!
Congratulations on your baby:) may all blessings and joy be with you!
Am I the only one who notices the bottle labels are backwards? Did you somehow post this video in reverse?
