Add chicken pieces to the sheet, and pour marinade over potatoes. Using clean hands, toss potatoes and chicken in marinade to coat well. Place chicken and potatoes in the oven, and bake for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and chicken.A heavenly pot of tender chicken and thickly sliced potatoes in cinnamon-laced tomato sauce with olives and fragrant Greek spices. This simple, deeply flavorful and satisfying stew comes together quickly, easily, and all in one pot.
Heat oven and season the chicken. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange a rack right in the middle. Season the chicken with kosher salt on all sides.
Tip: for best flavor, make sure to lift up the chicken skins and season underneath. Arrange.Preheat oven to 400°F Place chicken, potatoes, and garlic in a 9 X 13 inch glass baking pan. Mix well to get everything evenly distributed in the pan.
Season with.In a bowl, place potatoes with the chicken; stir together until chicken and potatoes are coated evenly with the marinade. In the prepared roasting pan, transfer chicken pieces, skin side up, reserving marinade. Distribute potato pieces among chicken thighs.
Drizzle with 2/3 cup chicken broth. Spoon the remaining marinade over chicken and potatoes.Place chicken pieces in large bowl.
Season with salt, oregano, pepper, rosemary, and cayenne pepper. Add fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic. Place potatoes in bowl with the chicken; stir together until chicken and potatoes are evenly coated with marinade.Enjoy this delicious easy Greek style chicken with roasted potatoes.

I’m bringing you my 7th installment of my Summer Fresh Recipe Series. A series of recipes that are filled with fresh summer produce that are easy, light, and oh soooo tasty!This Crockpot Salsa Chicken with cheese requires only 3 ingredients.
It’s embarrassingly easy to make, full of flavor and so delicious! Crockpot Salsa Chicken. I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious this salsa chicken is. Not only is it yummy, but there are only 3 ingredients in this recipe.
Then I pour a little salsa in the bottom of the casserole, add the coated chicken breasts, then pour over the rest of the salsa. I cook it for about 35 minutes. Then I remove it, and add some Mexican melting cheese & fresh chopped jalepenos, and cook for another 5.
Bake: Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover, toss the potatoes around and spoon some of the pan juices over the chicken. Top with lemon slices, and continue baking, uncovered, for an additional 25-30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked and potatoes.I put the potatoes in first, then added the chicken after 15 minutes (potatoes cooked a total of 45 minutes), and added the asparagus with 10 minutes to go (I like my roasted veggies firm).
Served with a green salad that had plenty of cukes, and Good Seasons Greek.Scrub and pierce potatoes; place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 10-12 minutes or until tender, turning once. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chicken, tomato sauce, salsa and brown sugar. Cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes or until heated through.
Cut an X in the top of each potato; fluff pulp with a fork.Preheat the broiler. Lay the tomato and onion halves cut-side down on a foil-lined baking sheet; surround with the tomatillos and jalapeno. Broil until charred, about 5 minutes.Heat up a cast-iron skillet on medium-low heat.
Add the olive oil and butter, follow by the garlic, potatoes and the rest of the ingredients. Cook the potatoes wedges until the outside is browned and the inside is cooked through, about 10 15 minutes. Dish out.

This is one of my faves too and especially my husband who was born and raised in Greece. I make it often. The only thing different that I do is put the potatoes in a bowl so that every potato gets coated then pour the sauce over the chicken. Oh and try putting mustard in the oil. It’s amazing.

I tried this recipe and it tasted very bitter:( Zest of 2 lemons are way too much, you need to add way more honey to balance the sharp taste. This is not a good recipe..

I’m ashamed to admit that I had this dish on my to-do list for over a year with no good excuse not to cook it but laziness. Sometimes you just rather return to stuff you’ve cooked a hundred times (Coq au vin for me).
But now with social distancing I finally gave this recipe a try and boy was it worth it! This is a flavour-packed chicken dish that we devoured with delight.
We used Dijon instead of mild mustard since we like it a bit spicier and it was still incredibly delicious. I think next time I’m going to use even more garlic than the recommended four cloves!!

I’m sorry… but this recipe is sucked… the proportions are not good… the sauce is definitely too sour… oh, it’s got a balance at all… the potatoes should be made separately… for the chicken because their time baking together not is optimal…. I did exactly as in the movie and it was not to eat…. sorry but this food only good looks.. it can be eaten..

Helloooo…love your channel since I grew up in Greece. Quick question there was an amazing grilled chicken restaurant in Chandris/Xhandris area in Athens. I can’t remember name but it was so popular. They serve the best flat charcoal grilled lemon chicken I have ever had in my life!

My first personalizing of this recipe would be to put the two chicken halves in a bowl and rub it down with the oil n herbs, then only after a really good coating, place them in the roasting pan, drizzle with remainder of oil herb mix, then salt n pepper

You haven’t washed yours hands once after handling the chicken then using the pinch pot of salt and then pepper…
Greek chicken served in most Greek restaurants in my area is broiled until crispy, then served in a metal dish, straight from the restaurant’s salamander broiler. In order to recreate that at home, I usually put the broiler on high for the last 10 minutes and watch it until it gets crispy but doesn’t burn. Use fresh oregano off the stalk, ground pepper, sea salt, virgin olive oil, lots of lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, Yukon golden potatoes, and hormone free chicken. Pretty much what Heather does, but don’t be afraid to torch it in the broiler at the end.
Love this recipe! Made it yesterday (8/8/18) for my lovely wife. She declared it “guest worthy.” I don’t know what you mean by mild mustard, so I put in 1/4 cup of French’s yellow mustard and it was wonderful! French’s is the kind of mustard that we Americans put on our hotdogs at baseball games. But next time, I think next time I am going to mix in some French style dijon mustard with my French’s yellow mustard. Ironic, eh? Anyway, thanks Akis! You are the man!
I made this last night and omg it was delicious! My family loved it and ate it all, no leftovers! Mind you I made a big batch. The chicken was so tender and juicy it fell off the bone. Also the onions were caramelized so it deff gave it a nice touch. I can’t wait to cook more of your recipes! ☺️

I’ve never heard that you can heat your non stick pan in high heat. I just got rid of 98 per cent of my non stick pots and pans.
